I use to go to chipotle almost everyday and ppl at my job were telling me to try free birds because they think it’s better. I tried it for the first time the other day and it wasn’t bad I actually like it better than chipotle. Alexis was very patient with me and answered all my questions. She also put the meat back on the grill for me. So far it’s been a great experience!

I think I've found my new favorite Freebirds location. Stopped by for lunch today and was greeted by the friendliest woman, Alexis. Her personality was infectious, her customer service was top-notch, and if you're lucky enough to have her assist you, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Freebirds, y'all better hold onto her!

Absolutely amazing food and incredible staff. The kind manager comes to our bank for the companys deposits and always has a smile on her face. She even left us coupons for free food! 10/10 everytime I go there :)

Listen, the frisco and Plano location is great! They go above and beyond to make sure customers are well taken care of. Even Alexis made it to where I was in and out , hassle free and she was great with my kiddos that came with me. Wonderful staff and wonderful management! 5 stars!!!!!!!!

As a former Freebirds management trainer, I am extremely satisfied and impressed by my visit at the Frisco location on a Saturday at 2pm, after the lunch rush. Store was impeccably clean as was the food line. Everything was fresh, especially for after the lunch rush. Guac had no brown, proteins were not dry, refried wasn't crusty. I was greeted within moments of entering, pleasantly and helped almost immediately. With a smile. Dillon was patient and precise, attentive. As a vegetarian who used to work here, I can be a bit picky and he was spot on. Excellent attitude and customer service. I used a promo, got my dog a meal, drenched my food in habanero, all without a hiccup. So seamless and easy to get exactly what i wanted. It's been a minute since the food tasted like I made it Mgr Megan is upbeat and very positive. Customer focused, happy, crew was smiling. I bet she is a great manager to work for, everyone seemed happy to be there. Mercedes, i believe her name was, diligently ran the line and restocked, the chicken on the grill, made an online order and cleaned in the lobby while i painstakingly took forever. She chimed in a couple times, also with a smile and good attitude. You can tell they are a team and strong. I couldn't figure out how to use the promo and without hesitation or frustration, Dillon was helping navigate the phone patiently. I kept skipping past the page with the qr code... this can sometimes be frustrating at checkout and his confidence in that situation was spot on. So much so, I bet he could help my 94 year old grandpa get it figured out. I leave stuffed, happy sleeping dog, and fully impressed.

Keegan made our food, he was extremely polite and kind and very welcoming. He made our fast and efficiently, and took the time to describe each item so we could make our choices. Keegan and Max were great!

Edit: My husband called to explain to the manager what happened, and he gave us a full refund. Turns out that the kind person I was referencing below is David, the manager, and he is a class act. I'll try this location again because of David. I very rarely write poor reviews, but this has to be said. I ordered three burritos and one bowl online. The pickup time was 7:33, and we arrived a few minutes early. There were only two employees in the store. One was working on to go orders, and the other was making burritos for in store orders. We were told our order wouldn't be ready for five more minutes. No problem. I could see that two of our burritos were already made and wrapped. The in store order employee instructed the to go person to continue making our order, and we got in line to buy drinks and a cookie. I watched as the to go person started to make our third burrito and realized he was out of refried beans, so he went to make them leaving my husband's food open and unattended while the other guy worked around it. The to go person clumsily went about making the beans, and the in store person had to give him verbal instructions on how to do it. It took him no less than 15 minutes to make the beans. As we ordered our drinks, it was clear that the in store person felt bad, so he offered them for free and offered two free cookies, which was very nice. In all fairness, the in store person had a fantastic attitude and was doing his best, but the to go guy was moving at a snail's pace. We continued to wait as multiple to go orders got their food, all of them having arrived well after us, and about eight customers ordered in store and left with their food. Mind you, three of our burritos were sitting out the entire time. Eventually, to go guy switched with in store guy, so things finally started to move along. After in store guy took over for to go guy, he approached me in the waiting area and asked me to confirm which order was mine, so I knew he was going to finally finish it. About three minutes after that, we had our food. It was 7:58 PM, a full 25 minutes after our designated pickup time, and two of our burritos had been sitting since before we walked in. One was sitting since about five minutes after we walked in. We took our food home, which was about a five minute drive, and it was cold and soggy. The ranch on my bowl was soaked into the lettuce so badly that you couldn't tell it was on there. There was nothing fresh about it. My daughter's burrito was cold and soggy. The only redeeming item was the churro cookie. This was my first time trying Freebirds, and it will be my last. I really thought it would be faster to order online, but had I just ordered in store, I'd have saved myself 20 minutes. I appreciate the two drinks and two cookies, but they should have offered me a full refund knowing our burritos had sat there for at least 30 minutes. The person who was initially handling in store orders was very kind and efficient, but the to go guy needs a lot of training. I've never seen someone in the food service industry move so slowly and without purpose in my life. He looked confused and miserable, and your one good employee can't be in two places at once, so give that guy some decent help because he was actually trying his best.

I came in here expecting something to be more on par with chipotle (one of my go to’s for fast food) but honestly the food is just salty and lacks any other type of flavor. If you really want food similar to this but better just go chip, much better food and has so much more flavor. I will say though it does vary by location you have to find the right one or else you’ll hate it (go to older locations). One thing that is I guess would be plus is there is more variety in their toppings. But other than that this franchise isn’t for me.

This location has declined significantly over the past year. I want to support them as a Texas-based company, but honestly, I’d rather go to Chipotle for a better overall experience. The fountain drink station has been out of order for over a month, with a sign on the front door saying no drinks or water are available. What restaurant operates without drinks for its guests? Instead, they offer 20-ounce bottles—just a couple sitting in a fridge—and still charge $3.09 despite the inconvenience of not having fountain drinks. On top of that, the staff is unprofessional and poorly trained. The burritos are made carelessly— not mixed properly with half filled with all the meat and the other half with toppings —making for a terrible dining experience. This location desperately needs a change in management. It used to be busy and full of customers, but now it’s practically empty, and it’s easy to see why.

Complete disaster! Thursday 7pm 2-12-26. 3 workers tall thin Caucasian male with curly hair, AA male 20ish, AA female Manager. Food was absolutely inedible. Both male workers were new and to their defense they tried so hard to do their best. Manager stayed in back and was aggravated to be bothered. I requested pork, unfortunately they were not trained on which meat was pork. Not blaming them, they tried. On I showed them there was only 2 teaspoons worth of meat. I asked for a little of something else which he provided and apologized. He stepped in back to ask for more pork and the Manager said they were out, even though as I paid for the meal she brought a new tub of pork out. All meats were dried out. I ordered a quesadilla, which they didn't know how to make. I walked them through how to make one why the Manager watched through the window from the kitchen. The AA male tried so hard to do his best. Zero complaints about the 2 gentleman. They were not trained and the manager made no effort to assist when she knew they were struggling. This location used to be my favorite. My burrito was cold so we took our food home to heat and eat. After 2-3 bites we pitched the food. Owner should go watch the video. Corrections need to be made. Pictures are pork burrito and chicken quesadilla. Thanks two the two male workers for trying your best. To the manager, you are losing repeat customers for an owner who invested a lot of money in a business. Do better.

It's 25 minutes for me to be able to order with only two people in front of me in line. One of the staff is always making me very uncomfortable and making weird comments about what type of food I'm ordering. He has been rude on multiple occasions. I have been coming to this location for years and the service has just gotten worse.

This place needs to be shut down. I stopped in around 2:00pm. Ordered a chicken burrito. I had thought about canceling the order and going elsewhere the food looked old like it had been sitting out, I hung in there and went with it. The girl at the counter folded the tortilla and put I somewhere, seconds later she pulled it out no heat just cold, beans were cold and under cooked, rice was chewy and under cooked, the chicken was cold. You need some quality control this place is a dump sorry.

’m trying to contact Freebirds about a poor experience. Ive tried calling the location, but no one answers the phone. My husband and I both placed online orders. The orders were ready 15 minutes later than they were supposed to be. We got halfway home only to open our burritos for them both to be completely wrong. My tortilla was wrong, but was put on my husbands burrito. I ordered cilantro rice and black beans, but got Spanish rice and refried beans. My husband ordered Spanish rice and NO beans, but got cilantri rice and black beans. To top it off, both burritos was cold, like all the ingredients had just been pulled out of the refrigerator. What do we need to do to get this resolved? The only contact form on the website is for media.

Got a super monster steak burrito yestedsay from here and i keep spitting out peices of steak on the side of my plate that wont chew. None of the steak in this was cooked. Disgusting. Waste of my money

This place is dirty. I have been to many Freebirds locations and while I wouldn’t consider them known for cleanliness, this location is really bad. You can see the grime/residue buildup everywhere. For such a nice area, this place should really step it up, not to mention their poor customer service and poor attitude. I have never seen multiple employees on multiple occasions look like they hate their job as much as they have while making burritos. Chipotle/Cava wins here 100%.
