Great Wall has great food on their buffet. There's all the usual things like Broccoli beef and Sesame chicken to crab rangoon and egg rolls. There's also a soup bar and salad bar and soft serve for dessert. The decor is really fancy with large light fixtures, Asian pottery, and statues. The staff is also very attentive and helpful. Overall, you can't go wrong here if you're longing for some Asian cuisine.

It is June 4, 2020. They just reopened recently for dine in. We were looking forward to Chinese buffet and weren’t disappointed. They serve you everything. Best buffet ever! I first went here years ago with my late cousin who was dying of breast cancer. She could hardly eat anything, and she LOVED to come here because of the Great selection and fresh food. This buffet always has tons of people which means frequent turnover of food! (Normally, I don't like crowds, but buffets are the exception!) Can't wait to go back!

Quick and inexpensive. Food is better than what you would expect from a big buffet place. Some of the best egg rolls around. Place can get busy and crowded around dinnertime.

I would definitely say this is one of the better Chinese buffets within the area. Like many Chinese buffets, many of the typical items are standard. The restaurant was clean and there were many varieties to choose from! I was also surprised by the modest weekend price of only $14.95. Drinks are not included in are separate and cost about $3.

I tried this place twice via the Too Good to Go app which sells the food left over at the end of the night vs throwing it away. The food here is so amazing!!! This place is the best buffet I've ever visited so far on any aspect. You'll feel true Asian warmness. Greetings, flowers for mother's day, a very clean place with Asian fine dining decoration and the variety of menu was amazing. Price is great considering the price hike everywhere now, you'll get a good value for money here. I found the taste of the food was also flavorful and delicious... and fresh! My fave was clam with kind of tausi(black bean sauce). Sooo authentic and rare Asian ingredient. I loved their seafod section! And loved their teapot! So exclusive. Servers and staffs? They were genuinely friendly. No rush. Always asked before taking used plates. Their initiative of refilling drinks, napkin, etc were little things that mattered. They had no hesitancy on making friendly conversation with guests esp family with young kids but in a proper and polite way. I saw them proactively preparing high chair for young kids without being asked first. During my visit with family of 5, we felt relaxed while enjoying our food and having a family conversation peacefully. Usually in a buffet like this, staffs rushed movement usually made guests uncomfortable BUT that wasn't the case at this place. Well, if anything they could improve is variety on sushi section. Hope they could provide more type of rolls because my daughter only visited sushi section in a buffet. Keep up a good work. Our new to go Buffet from now on. 👍

This is a large buffet with a wide variety of Chinese and Asian dishes, including sushi, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef and many others. Theres also a large selection of fruit, deserts and an ice cream machine. The staff is friendly and quick and the dining area is huge! If you like chinese food, give it a try.

This is BY FAR the BEST Chinese Buffet restaurant I've been to in a very long time!! The food quality is extremely good, and I loved the sweet and sour shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, fried fish fillets, orange chicken and sesame chicken!! Aida was very professional and kind, with a funny sense of humor! She treated us like valued guests, and because of her, my family and I will definitely be coming back!! Oh, and the ice cream was good too!!

Great Wall is definitely a go-to buffet in Frisco/Plano. The staff know us when we arrive and always treat us well. My favorites are the seafood soup and calamari. We all love the ribs and veggies and the salad is always fresh and crisp. If you haven't teied Great Wall yet ai reccomend you do.

The atmosphere is amazing and our server, Sue was very nice and attentive. Most of the food was great. It should be a crime to make crab rangoons that small. Nice selection though. The food was great. The service was excellent and above par. The atmosphere was beautiful and amazing. The bathroom needed some work. It was not very clean and the doors did not lock properly. The cost was quite a bit higher than expected.

This is a nice buffet. It’s clean and the people are very nice to you. There’s lots of food options as well! The dessert section is not very big but there’s lots of options for everything else. There’s lots of seafood options! The price is not expensive either! Some of the food was a little dry but I’d come back.

It was clean and not too busy. Lots of food options, however the quality can be questionable. For example, the crab Rangoon lack filling. They had a variety of soups. The sushi was alright. It hits the Chinese food cravings.

Overall the food was good. Have a good selection and decent quality. Relatively clean and quiet atmosphere. Not too crowded and plates are cleared off the table regularly. Only negative is pay attention at lunch time. You'll actually pay the dinner price if you choose food from a certain table. Look for the sign that says something like dinner meal. If it's your first time there you won't realize are there are separate items that will cause you to pay the dinner price.

The location was prettier inside than I expected, they had a large selection of items, and the wait staff was very courteous and attentive. We were there in the evening and they had a large selection of seafood and sushi, the price point was about $20/person. I felt like the meats were a bit toughened, maybe from sitting under the heat lamps too long? But they had nice egg rolls and spring rolls, I enjoyed the noodle dishes, and I felt like the fresh foods had a wider selection than I expected and were of good quality.

It's just okay there's not a great selection there it's mostly fried foods so if you're looking for a healthy alternative or you want more American choices along with the Asian choices there's really not a lot there some buffets have like roast beef or roast turkey or you know baked chicken or these kind of things but this place strictly is fried foods and seafood and most of its fried too there's a salad bar not the freshest I've ever seen it's just okay

Update: I have been to this buffet before pandemic many times but this is an average buffet after it now. It isn't having much dishes and that too on Friday afternoon many of the dishes where empty for more than 30-40 min. SKip it ...if possible.

We were looking for a buffet near us and this was it. The establishment was beautiful and clean. The staff were friendly. However the food was below par. I was sad there was no mongolian style food where they cook the food you place in bowls. For the price we paid, I want the whole shebang. We will drive to Lewisville for Chinese buffet in the future when the craving hits.

One of the few All You Can Eat Asian Buffets in Frisco. It offers a great variety of foods. 1) Their Chicken wings, Egg Rolls, Fried Tilapia and Teriyaki Chicken are out of this world. 2) The Mongolian beef, chicken with mushroom and shrimp, and spicy chicken were also good. 3) The only food that I have found a little disappointing is the Steak which tastes more like pressure cooked beef. The rest of it is all good. 4) The booths need to be repaired. The cushions are bad and the back rest on the booths move when we get up each time. 5) I must say the pricing is still pretty decent at $14.95 on Saturday and Sunday.

Hit or miss? Mostly miss, service was good but did not make up for the mediocre food. There are so many options for Chinese buffet in Dallas and the Great Wall definitely is lacking the huge selection of sushi and Mongolian bar you would find at other buffets in the area. Overall, a just ok spot if you are in a hurry and don't care if what you are eating tastes good.

The food at this buffet is not very good. I’ve been to many different buffets in the DFW area, and unfortunately this one didn’t compare well. The vegetables tasted artificial, and the beef and fish had an unusual flavor. The food selection was also quite limited. I went at 1130. Great atmosphere and staff but all the chicken products I tried were definitely refrigerated over night and put out hoping the heat lamps would heat them up before guests arrived. They were dry and still very cold in the middle. The cocktail shrimp was sitting on ice but maybe room temp when ate. The beef products were all good and seasoned well. The sushi was ehhh. The fried fish was barely not cold. I only stopped here because I was in the area.

This place is fine for a Chinese buffet. It is a nice space, very clean, with a good variety of dishes. A lot of the food is fried, but tastes okay. They have a nice baked fish and several seafood selections. The soup station is pretty nice with 6 different soups. The service was fantastic and our server kept my tea glass full at all times. If I could give separate rating for service and food, ours would get five stars.

I haven't been to a Great Wall buffet location in many years and this visit to the restaurant in Frisco can be summed up in one word: disappointing. While there were a varied amount of VERY bland, boring options, they all tasted the same or lacked flavor whatsoever. Every dish was an amalgamation of every other dish and none stood out as good or better than the others. It was a selection of "which option doesn't look worse than the others". Would I go back? No. Never again. But if mass quantities of bland, tasteless food is your thing, there is no shortage of that.

So the atmosphere was nice and the staff was polite but when I say the food was terrible, it was terrible. They basically had the hot wells that hold the food on the buffet line on 10, which is boiling and still cooking the food at a high temperature while sitting on the line so some stuff was hot on the outside and cold in the inside (the sweet and sour chicken) , some stuff was overcooked like the jalapeno chicken mixture, other stuff was dried out like the teriyaki chicken no matter how much you dipped it in sauce and other stuff was mush. Just everything was overcooked and obviously had been sitting out for over 2 hours. The only thing that was half decent was the fried chicken wings and I said half decent. Also when I finished eating I was heading to the bathroom (which was blocked off) I seen in the kitchen that it was ready to eat foods sitting in a tub and egg rolls laying on the bottom shelf of a prep table. Thats not sanitary at all And then I understood why my food was the way it was.

Good but not for Vegetarians. Very few selections. They don't even have a seperate area for vegetarian dishes. It's all mixed and kept in the middle of meat dishes. People mix ladles and drop meat stuff ask over. Then they say they have vegetarian dishes. They put crab meat next to salad. Beans cooked in lard!!! Veggie they said. Food quality is not that great though lots of choices. Not going back.

I recently visited this Chinese buffet restaurant in Frisco, Texas, because I was told it was one of the best in Frisco and unfortunately, I was left quite disappointed with my experience. While the variety of dishes was decent, the quality of the food left much to be desired. Firstly, many of the dishes seemed to have been sitting out for far too long, as they were dry and flavorless. Additionally, the sushi was not fresh and lacked any distinct taste. Furthermore, the service was quite poor. The staff seemed disinterested and were not attentive to our needs. The restaurant was not super dirty but was dirty enough for me to notice that many of the tables and floors not properly cleaned. Overall, while the price was relatively cheap, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality Chinese food experience.

Disappointing from the moment we walked through the door. The food stations were visibly dirty and the food itself was bland, with some items tasting old — definitely not fresh or flavorful. What made matters worse was the service. The young man who seated us and rang us up at the end was very rude. No greeting, no smile, and not even a "thank you" — just head nods and mumbled "uh-huh" responses.

Did not dine in. I picked up food to-go and most items I got were not appetizing. Most fried foods were dry and cold. I live 10 minutes away for it to be dry and not crispy. Most of the foods I saw looked soggy as well. Shrimp looked almost black and dirty. Not recommended.

We've visited this restaurant four times, hoping each experience would improve, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. While the food is passable, the service consistently falls short. Staff have been noticeably inattentive and at times outright rude. On our most recent visit, plates were cleared before we had finished eating, and a server even took my daughter’s fork without asking if she was still using it. The rushed atmosphere makes it difficult to enjoy the meal. Regrettably, after multiple visits, it’s clear this establishment prioritizes turnover over customer experience. Eat elsewhere.

Chinese buffet staples, like fried rice, mein (noodles) and orange chicken were awful. Every battered meat option tasted soggy. The almond cookies were soft from sitting out too long. I don't know what they do to their sweet and sour sauce, but it looks super red and leaves a red tint on your food, tongue and teeth. Very overpriced for such poor quality. I'm never coming back here again.

Came here on a Saturday evening and the place was pretty empty. It is one of the worst buffet I’ve been to and I’ve eaten at a lot of buffets. The atmosphere was alright, the service was alright but the food was horrible. Everything was dried and felt like it was sitting there under the light for hours on hours. Oh did I mention, the Thousand Island sauce looked old and should be replaced. Let’s say I won’t be back to this location.

It was the most disgusting experience I have ever been through. While we were eating a rat was all over the dining area and they trapped it inside a cone. Too expensive for the terrible sanitary conditions.

First, if you go through my other reviews of restaurants, you will see that I don't give bad reviews very often. The food was very sub-par. The only kinda bright spots were the chicken on a stick and the egg drop soup, which was very, very good. While the taste was good, the chicken on a stick was not at a food safe temperature. The wings with the red sauce were actually hot (temperature wise), so probably food safe flavor was kinda decent. The breaded shrimp was horrific, very rubbery, and grainy. I couldn't even bring myself to eating it and left it on the plate. The mingolian beef was not good. The red pork ribs that looked good were not hot and were very bland taste wise. Sushi was not good as well, with zero flavor. My kids enoyed the deserts. It's definitely not worth the 75 dollars we paid for the family. We will never eat here again.

Just don't...not very good food. Selection is very seafood oriented. Everything taste like it was cooked with shrimp. One of the worst food quality Chinese Buffets that I have ever experienced.

I will start by saying I’m not excited to even write this, I have been a long time patron here and have consistently enjoyed the food. However, a noticeable decline in the quality of food and the fact that they were actively serving cold food on the buffet after I complained the steamers weren’t keeping the food warm. The wonton soup (what was left) tasted absolutely awful, like it had been sitting for hours. The worst part? They didn’t even offer a concession on the price! $50 for my family to eat subpar cold food, not worth the argument since that’s the last time they will get my money. There’s far better options elsewhere.

Took family here and was very disappointed. Should have checked the buffet out before we sat. Old and dry food that seemed to be sitting there for hours. Go there if you want old stale Chinese food that’s been under a heating lamp for hours.

The waitress was overly excited about my grandbabies hugging and trying to touch without asking. For 76$ and some change the food was subpar and there was a hair in my crawfish! The place was nice but staff and food could have been better.

Don’t be fooled by the steam, the food is colder than ice. Customer service was mediocre, and the place was very dead. It was creepy and did not give good vibes. The interior was nice, but a bit too nice since that was the main attraction. They could’ve spent more money on the food than decor. In the end, it left my stomach empty and wallet empty.1/10

The place is beautiful, but the food was not fresh. My 3 children and I arrived at 8 pm. The restaurant closes at 9. The food on the bar was not fresh. The lemon chicken was hard as a rock. The sweet and sour chicken was scanty and there was barely any sweet and sour sauce left. I mentioned fresh food to someone who was standing at the bar, but was not taken seriously. By the time I formally requested fresh food, I was 10 minutes too late for them to fix the food. The manager did give me 10% off for the inconvenience. But it was not enough for me to return to this establishment.

Update 2021: We've usually had a great experience here.. it's clean, staff is quick and polite. The food looked great, BUT, this last time we were underwhelmed and got SICK! The food seemed bland and lacked the flavor of before,.. and, without going into details, let's just say that it 'kept me up from 2am, several times through the night'!!!! 2019: Good food (very impressed for a buffet) and clean restaurant with friendly wait staff. Was a little surprised that they added 15% to a table of 6,. Well, split ticket 4 and 2, we usually only see that with 8 or more and rarely at a buffet. Otherwise it was a delightful dinner. I was tricked into thinking this restaurant was the same as the Great Wall Plano Super Buffet in Plano. Well let me tell you, it's not as I later found out it was sold to new management. The lack of cleanliness and barely edible offerings on the buffet will be eye opening. The buffet options were not the same as Great Wall Plano Super Buffet, and what was on display seemed old. The lighting was poor, as they had some sort of meat item under a red lamp, with no signage indicatign what it was. Most of the food tasted old and was not hot. The whole experience was not enticing. I am never returning here again. Do yourself a favor and check out Great Wall Plano Super Buffet at Plano Parkway and Alma. The food and service there will make you want to return over and over again, it's that good!

If I could give this place “0” stars I would. The food smelled and tasted spoiled. When we informed the managers and clerk at the front, they were defensive and stated that they do not keep food more than 24hrs the stated that they often taste the food when customers complain. My husband told her the spring rolls were sour and one lady who I assume is the manager proceeded to taste the spring roll and said it tastes fine to her... I guess everyone has different tastes. I was appalled — this place should be shut down. My husband and I felt sick and will never patronize this business again. I’m definitely reporting them to BBB. For health and sanitary reasons, I encourage people to not eat here.

The chicken wings were raw, the rice on the sushi was hard not fresh. The waiters were very nice but the quality of the food. Not good.

Went here 2 times in the past week. Both times, server handed me a check literally 3 plates in. It seems they just want to kick people out as soon as possible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Used to love coming here until I almost ate a roach!!! I immediately lost my appetite and notified management they apologized and took away the plate as if things like this happen often. Never eating here again!! The price of the buffet is too expensive to be finding bugs in your food. I’m appalled and disgusted!! I hate leaving this review but I have to say something in hopes that this doesn’t happen again to anyone else.

Avoid. The food is not good. The items i got tasted over/under cooked. Somehow the lo mein was cold despite being under a heat lamp. Some of the meat tasted oddly waxy. Even the lettuce for salad was mostly core/bottom cut iceberg that looked wilted. I only took 1 or 2 bites of all 6 items i tried on my first plate. Seriously spit the first 2 out. Sent it to the trash, paid, and wont return. The staff were nice! I wish the food was even mediocre.

Got here less than 30 mins after opening and most of the food was cold. Fried food was cold inside; fries frozen in middle. The only thing that was hot was one of the fried fish. Fruit and veggies tasted a little dirty. Make sure to taste your kids food and drinks first. My kid was given the wrong drink. The fries were still frozen inside. If your kid doesn’t like Chinese food there are no options except fries (other places usually offer chicken nuggets). Server was a little rude and when asked for more napkins was only given 3. Table was very sticky.

I enjoyed the soup and desserts, the rest of the buffet was mostly inedible. Very poor quality and very poorly prepared. Both myself and the friend I dined with left feeling ill and later experienced digestive issues.

They charge more for a VERY SMALL to go plate! They actually weigh the plate. You would eat way more sitting there than taking it to go. That is so ridiculous. That’s cheating people! Completely taking advantage of people. If they are going to charge more to go then to sit there and eat they could at least have a normal size to go plate. I will NEVER go there again.

The food was cold, all dishes tasted the same. No difference in flavor between dishes. It felt like it’s reheated and kept out for hours, and it did not look appetizing at all. The waiter was great, we only got half a plate, paid and left. Didn’t feel like wasting time or calories here.

Hadn't been here in years and wish I had stayed away longer. Food was horrible, price was ridiculous, and cleanliness is 🤢. I don't know how they're still open! Not sure if there's new owners but they ought to be ashamed. Especially the dirty dishes just out on the back bar. I'm literally still disgusted. Don't waste your time or money. Almost $70 for just 3ppl is shameful, especially since we barely ate the food!

Words can’t possibly describe how absolutely terrible and disgusting this place was. Not one thing I ate seemed fresh. I could also tell from the taste that it wouldn’t have been good even if it was fresh. Horrible. I’m gagging thinking about it. They brought me the check and it was nearly $18. I told the lady it was disgusting and I can’t believe she’s charging me this much and she laughed. Everything felt filthy too. This is a very large building so I can’t imagine they’ll be around much longer with this being the product. Do not give them your business under any circumstances.
