Opinions de Rudy's Kitchen Frisco
If you want authentic Mexican, homemade food, this is the place. Everything is made from scratch, and I love seeing the lady in the kitchen literally making the gorditas by hand. They’re my favorite. The trozitos and chicharron is a must have.
this gluttonous gringa adores this place! the cabeza meat is my personal favorite protein, either in tacos or gorditas. I have not tried everything on their extensive menu but I am always satiated. the workers here are always so nice. try to beat the lunch rush or you'll be waiting for a long time!
Gas station tacos are either really good or not very good - not a lot of inbetween. These are 5 star gas station tacos. The gorditas were fantastic, especially the pastor. Since I went, I've been tempted to drive 40 minutes across town just to get a few more of these. Traditional, legit and the real deal.
Legit authentic Mexican tacos! Best place north of Dallas 🎖️
The food and service was great. It's in a gas station so atmosphere was whatever but we were just picking up to eat at a park anyways so that didn't matter at all. The food was sooooo good for the price. My husband and I spent $13 and we were both full.
I have been visiting Rudy's for years. Even after moving from Frisco I will still stop by any chance I get when I'm in the area to indulge in his kindness and authentic food that you can tell is prepared with a love and passion for it. To top it off, the store that his kitchen is in has more variety in beverages than most super markets so you can easily find your favorite or try something new.
The Menudo is excellent the barbacoa tacos reminded me of my Mother the only thing missing was the posole and the patas those of you who know about menudo know what talking about. Normally I would have to go to Oak Cliff to get Menudo and Barbacoa this good I'm glad Google got me to Rudy's kitchen oh and the other thing you get a lot of taco to or your money 2 were to many for me. Try them you won't be disappointed Pete
I have to thank the other reviewers for sending us here. They are right on. Absolutely the best Mexican food we have ever experienced. This is your "Mom n Pop" authentic type place. The owner is a real nice guy and does all the cooking. My Wife in particular kept going on and on throughout the meal of how good the food was. We had the gorditas but with shredded beef. The shredded beef is only available on Fridays and Saturdays because they said they marinate it over night. So we took three gorditas to go to help us make it through until the next week. Anyway, big thumbs up. Ten stars.
I ABSOLUTELY love Rudy's! I work across the street and I honestly come here every day. Whether it's for a breakfast burrito, tacos, one of their Cubanitas or just a street corn it NEVER disappoints. Everything on their menu is sooooooo good!!!They also make fresh churros which are just *chefs kiss* amazing. If you haven't tried them please do! I can assure you, you won't be disappointed!!!
We used Rudy’s street taco catering at a party at our house this weekend, and it was a huge success. Delicious food, very friendly and easy to work with for planning, and unique having them cook right at your house rather than traditional catering. Everyone was raving about the food and we would definitely use Rudy’s again.
Tortas and tacos are the best there, well thats all ive had from there but I'm sure everything else is just as delicious
One of the best taco places in dfw, don’t let the location fool you, amazing food and great service
I have been coming to Rudy's for years ! The food is always great, the staff, and Rudy himself ! I love all their food options breakfast burrito, tacos, Gordita, and tortas it is all good! - breakfast burritos truly are the best way to start your day ! personally love their salsa and egg with beans :) 5 stars for Rudy's ! :)
I've lived in Frisco the past 6 years, and last week was my first time visiting. Since then I've been back 3 times🤣 This place is the bomb, and the food is past uh-mazing!! I use to drive to Addison & The Colony for street tacos. I will never go anywhere else again. Do yourself a favor and order anything, you will NOT be disappointed!!
First time coming here and it was amazing! The flour bean and cheese tacos were so good and big. Prices are very reasonable. Lots of men ordering and waiting area so ladies be aware!
Best authentic street food from Mexico!!! We have tried so many dishes from the menu at Rudy’s Kitchen and EVERY single one was DELICIOUS!!! Our gage for good Mexican food starts with the beans and rice. If the rice is bland and the beans taste like they came from a can, it says a lot about the restaurant. We can honestly say, the rice and beans here is so good you will ask for more. Our favorite dish is the GORDITAS. You can tell it is authentic, homemade, and so yummy!
Always reliable with their breakfast burritos. Tacos are also great, pretty much all their food is a great find for an even better price. Order to go because it might get crowded in the space they have. You might be tempted to order more though.
I ordered for delivery via DoorDash. The food here is always good. I ordered the 3 burrito combo with chicken, requested rice to be added to them, and an extra side of rice. The tortillas were handmade and tasted amazing. The chicken was seasoned and cooked well. The portion of each individual burrito is filling and can be shared or saved for later. I just wish there was an option to add veggies and crema to the burritos or at least on the side. The rice was also really good. I love that they added veggies to it, and they were cooked perfectly. Everything tasted like it was fresh and homemade. Overall, I would definitely recommend and order again.
They are indeed located EXACTLY at the address stated. It’s a shame someone would leave a one star review for a small business just because they don’t understand the concept of a business operating out of another business. You’d think someone that was an Owner and Massage Therapist at Massage Artz, which Operates out of The Oasis Massage Room would understand the exact concept of this. Rudy’s Kitchen is phenomenal. We moved to Frisco from Chicago about a year and a half ago and so far have been pretty disappointed with the food in the DFW area. Rudy’s is one of the few places that delivers authentic flavors and amazing food. Since we found out about this place, we have been here at least once a week. If you have GPS and two brain cells to rub together and are lucky enough to find this place, you cannot go wrong with the barbacoa tacos, they are incredible. 🔥
Get ready for this one. In my opinion, you know it’s a good authentic street taco spot/ Mexican street food when it’s hole in the wall vibes! This place is located inside a Chevron gas station! Was kind of skeptical at first because the options were nothing I’ve seen before but then again I haven’t been to enough to know. Anyways, order some street tacos and a chicharron platter. The tacos come garnished, just fyi. So if you don’t want like cilantro ir onion, let them know. It was all sooooo delicious. I would definitely come back for more. For service, you order and pay up front and they bring it out to you. For the price, it’s actually affordable for a large portion. Definitely check this place out. Till then, let’s eat!!!!
The taco plate here was excellent! It definitely rates high on the many different tacos I’ve tried. The staff here is also very friendly and helpful when you are trying to choose your tacos. I liked that there were about 3 or 4 tables to sit on as well. Since Rudy’s is located in a convenience store, you have your choice of most any kind of drink to purchase as well. All in all this was a great taco experience and very convenient.
The best Mexican food is in Frisco. The staff is super friendly. You can take out or dine in. It's not your typical restaurant; it's more of the Mexican way of eating.
Today was a last minute, find a place to eat. I've been wanting real Mexican food!! Well this place is it! Amazing staff! And the food is just amazing and delicious!! Best flavors, not salty! Just the right amount of flavors that gets you to say ""oooohhhhwee " Definitely will be coming back!!
I got the taco plate or whatever and it was really good. I had 2 chicken and 1 pork. The beans and rice were ok but kinda cold but that's fine because the tacos were amazing. The chicken was absolutely bomb, the pork was spicy and delicious, and the corn tortillas were soft (also doubled up as you can see in the photo). I wanna go back and try the breakfast menu too because it looks so good. The place was kinda hard to find because it's actually in the convenience store but overall, pretty amazing food. Also, I would bring cash unless you want an extra 90 cent charge for using card, just fyi
I have never dined in - it is a stand withina Chevrongas station. I either order for take out or delivery. I ordered a plate of two gorditas (rajas con queso and the second one was trocitos de puerco en chile verde) with rice and beans and made two meals out of it. This place is the real deal.
Had the pleasure of experiencing their one of kind catering service. Employees were very kind and the food was great!

They have great food Love the Gorditas Their pinto beans are great they mix them with Chorizo which gives them a super great flavor
The only place in all of Frisco to get real tacos. A few tables to eat is all you need. Plus side is all the available drinks to select from given it's in a convience store. Food comes out fast and fresh. Homemade tortillas are excellent. Price is in line with Dallas... Not Frisco. It's a great place glad it's here. I'm just sad I didn't find out about it earlier.
Never knew they were in a Gas station…. Definitely a go back to place… Y’all should check them out…. Delicious Food…

High quality tacos and rice. The chilaquiles taste really good as long as their hot, but if they get cold it tastes a bit weird. The places looks kinda sketchy since it's part of a convenience store and it's hard to see from traffic but that's because it's part of old Frisco. The food is good.
The carne asada and pastor tacos were delicious. The carne asada had a nice char and good flavor. The pastor was flavorful and sweet with the occasional piece of pineapple mixed in. The tortillas were good and they brought 2 bottles of salsa, red and green. The red was super spicy. The menu was a bit difficult to understand, but I ended up ordering a taco platter (3 street tacos, rice & beans) and it was $10 Everyone there was Hispanic and everything is in Spanish, so I was a little nervous to order, but the lady at the counter spoke perfect English! I will definitely be back.
They have a mighty menu from a small kitchen inside a gas station. The tacos of trozitos and Al pastor were very good. The tacos of cabeza was a bit dry for my taste. A lot of the other customers were ordering the sandwiches.
Really good food. More authentic taste then TexMex. Chicken Gordita was really good! If it wasn't for parking issues and access to a clean sink to wash hands, I would give it 5 stars.

Stopped here quickly for breakfast after an event at Frisco Commons. I ordered breakfast tacos—one with egg, potato, and cheese, and another with pollo. The tacos were delicious and quite filling. Note that they charge extra for cheese.

BEWARE Patrons ordering via delivery app: The torta Cubanita was good….if only that was what I ordered. Got my food via a deliver app, for a Torta Carne Asada. The disbelief when I opened it up to see sausage and egg in my torta which is not even close to a carne asada torta. Got a refund, ate the torta that arrived but you guys really need to double check your orders before you seal it up for delivery.
The food was ok! I ordered the gordita plate and had pastor for both gorditas. The pastor was super greasy so it made it the gorditas very greasy and hard to enjoy. Hubby ordered some tacos and said they were alright. The employee that was working there was nice, we might give them another try in the future.
Yes, it is authentic Mexican but I only would reorder 1 of the 4 meats I ordered, Trozito. I had tacos. Pastor was dry and not too flavorful. Carne asada was chewy and too cooked. Barbacoa was 2nd place for me. It wasn't greasy but was too dry. The gorditas looked good and if I ordered one now, I would only get Trozito in it. Nice people but was just ok.
We always get breakfast tacos through drive thru. The flavors are great and love the salsa, staff is always friendly but for a long while now the food is cold when you get it when they first open. When reheating please make sure your food is hot. Tired of cold eggs.
Visited Rudy’s for dinner this evening. Was immediately greeted by all staff, which were kind and welcoming. We purchased the family meal and ordered the brisket (moist)2lbs, sides, a gallon of tea, and a loaded baked potato. When we got home and made sandwiches, the meat was so tough I could barely cut it with a knife and was so chewy. After spending over $130 I am so disappointed in the quality of meat. 2 lbs of brisket that are so tough it was hard to eat. I am grateful for the kind service, but disappointed in the quality of food. If I had eaten there I would have asked for a refund and returned the food.

I went to this place on my lunch. I was anticipating having a great experience. The place is located inside a gas station and the tables and seats were dirty. The person taking our order was rude and did not speak very good english. As I struggled to order there wasn't anyone who tried to assist to make sure I got the order that I requested. The food was $9. If you used a credit card there was a fee that is not explained of $0.90. We got our order and the food was given to us in bags with no eating utensils. This food was DISGUSTING. The tortillas were rubbery and hard and the same goes for the meat. I had beef and it was overcooked probably from the day before. The rice and beans had no flavor. I have eaten at gas stations a 100 times before and this was the only time that I have regretted it. The service sucked and the food was a complete wast of $9.00.
I orders 7 breakfast burritos and three of them had a lot of eggshells inside of them that was on Saturday and we got busy so I forgot about it until now. This is Sunday. My lunch break 1 o’clock just could’ve been better. We didn’t have to be crunching on eggshells every bite ridiculous.no love in the dry burritos almost choked because it was so dry and then I started chomping on eggshells So overall experience was pretty bad. I’ll probably won’t go back because I tried to call on Sunday To let them know how horrible they were, but I guess they’re closed on Sundays so I guess I have to leave a review. Let the world know they put no love in their food. Breakfast tacos for free.
They are not located at the address given!!! I couldn't find them!!! Went into one of the other gas stations that has a restaurant in it and they said they are located near Dallas North tollway. And not here at all! They need to update their location or take this down. I was starving for some tacos and ended up having to find some other restaurant that didn't have the kind of tacos I was looking for. But they were good too. Still.. I drove around in circles several times thinking what the heck!!
This place used to be great but lately the customer service is getting bad. Prices are too high for mexican food. Like for real it's a taco, nothing fancy but the prices are like almost $5 for one item like gorditas. Also the Chubby lady at counter was not nice, can't see her face if she is smiling or not because she might be sick wearing a mask still. She seems not happy to be there. I hope the owner makes this place cleaner, it used to be clean. If you're going to work with restaurant and customers then make them happy. I will come back in a few months to try again see if anything gets better.

Breakfast menu is bad - only had Potato & Egg, chicharron, and Piccadillo available. We were in town for Thanksgiving and were upset by the limited menu. Limited menu with not so great items.
The beef is terrible. Please make steak instead of this weird beef concoction.
As someone who loves exploring local taco spots and sharing honest food reviews, I had high hopes for Rudy's Kitchen in Frisco! Unfortunately, this visit didn't meet expectations. I ordered the steak tacos and was immediately let down by the quality. The corn tortillas didn't taste fresh, and the steak itself lacked flavor and freshness. For $11, I received four very small tacos! That’s a fair price if the food had delivered, but sadly, it didn't. AT ALL. Another downside was the service. When I asked about the menu (which isn't in English), the responses I received from the young lady were short and not particularly helpful. There wasn't much effort made to make the experience welcoming or easy to navigate. I also found it odd that chicken wasn't available as a taco option… only in burritos. All in all, this spot just didn't do it for me. Between the underwhelming food, poor service, and lack of menu clarity, I won't be returning. There are too many great taco places out there to settle for one that doesn't seem to care about the customer experience.
