We stopped in for lunch and everything about the experience was amazing! The owner was sure to check in and ask how our food was and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to my children. The food was so good- especially the pasta salad. The decor was super cute, modern but still cozy. Highly recommend for lunch or breakfast in Gainesville

I had to come get their best dish, the Shrimp and Grits, one last time before I move out of the city. As expected, a tear formed in my eye when I took the first bite. This place has food that never disappoints, the friendliest team, and a quaint small town charm that is irreplaceable.

I’ve had many lunches here which were always awesome. My husband and I came here in the evening for the first time tonight and were so happy with the experience. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. We will be back!

We have eaten here several times in only a few weeks, and tried any different dishes. The food is flavorful with balanced seasoning, and cooked well. The service is always good also. I would recommend giving this little gem a try.

I came here based on a recommendation from my friend Tom over at Five Fifty Five Winery. This place is incredible! I’ve eaten at restaurants all over the world and Goodies On Commerce served me one of my top 5 meals. Incredible flavors in both entrees that were the perfect size. If we’d stopped at the entrees, it would have been amazing. But then, the bananas foster! Chris came to our table and made it right in front of us. Wow! Such a fantastic way to end a meal! This is everything a restaurant should be. Great food, atmosphere, perfect pricing, and wonderful people/service. We will be back!

My son and I had our mother/son date here this evening. We weren't dressed as nicely as we could/should have been for this lovely place. But they didn't seem to mind. My son loved his burger and my shrimp and grits was amazing. He wants to have more family dates here.

Fabulous little cafe with adorable patio. Amazing food!! Everything we had was top notch!! We meet for girls lunch and have been searching for a spot to meet since Sarah’s on the Square closed. We finally found this gem. Can’t wait to return!

This morning I had the Southwest Croissant and it was AMAZING! It’s loaded with protein (ham, bacon and eggs) with white cheddar and smashed avocado with a chipotle aioli. As always, great service, great atmosphere and great food!

Favorite place in/around Gainesville! Anything on their menu is amazing, and it’s so affordable which is always a plus. Everyone working is always friendly and it has such a cozy atmosphere. I live in NJ and make sure I stop in each time I’m in town!

NICE STAFF EXCITING MENU GOOD FOOD I stopped for lunch here a Monday in May of 2025. I chose this place because of the good ratings on Google map and because of the interesting and exciting menu. The menu offers many choices - many very exciting choices that are hard to choose between. So of course you will have to return and taste some more. You grab a menu and a table - and then order at the bar. They bring your food out to you. I chose the combo - tasting two different sandwiches - and I added a cup of tomato bisque. It all tasted very nice. Should I come with a suggestion of fine tuning it should be a choice of bread for the sandwiches. It was “just” sandwich bread used. But none the less it was a very good experience here. Definitely worth while a visit.

Great food and atmosphere. The Brie and fig burger with Parmesan roasted potatoes is wonderful. The lattes are phenomenal. The tiramisu is to die for. I've been living in this area for a while, why am I only finding out about this amazing restaurant now?

This place is great! I ordered the Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese. Decided to add some of their raspberry jalapeno jam. Hubby and I devoured it! It normally doesn't come on there, but if you like sweet and spicy definitely try it! He enjoyed his sandwich as well and the banana bread pudding was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Had a Galentines dinner with coworkers here this week and it was amazing. I hadn't had dinner here before. Appreciated the selection of entrees at different price points. I was pleasantly surprised that their wine list included many local wineries. The tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had. How refreshing to enjoy a fine dining experience in downtown.

Goodies on Commerce always has fresh homemade food. Their chef has a special each night. They have a great variety of meals to choose from. Excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere.

We had such a wonderful evening in a great atmosphere at Goodies. The staff was so friendly and personable, and the Parmesan crusted top sirloin was absolutely amazing!! We cannot wait to come back!!!

Food was very good, I tried the Jalapeño popper grilled cheese, Cajun pasta and the buffalo chicken potato. Everything was delicious, I do wish the potato had been salted and fluffed before it was stuffed and more dressing and a drizzle of the buffalo. The dining area is SUPER cute, I loved it. I only gave service a 3 because while the ladies were friendly, they were not super involved. As someone who has never been in before, it was a little confusing on how to place my order, and they prompt to tip when you pay for your food, but there is no actual waitress serving you.
