I can only say I'm extremely satisfied. Besides the clean, fragrant, and characteristic location and the sublimely high-quality dishes, the staff makes you feel pampered throughout the meal. The place is small and pleasant, seating about twenty. The atmosphere is welcoming. The menu is good, with quality dishes and ingredients. The wine list is also good, with reasonable prices. The only downside is the wait for the dishes, which is a bit long. In any case, a very positive review, and I'll be back.

The atmosphere was very romantic and welcoming! The waitress was very helpful and found us a table right away, even without a reservation. The dishes were phenomenal, everything was delicious and fresh, from appetizer to dessert! I highly recommend the octopus with mashed potatoes and olives: it melts in your mouth!

Siamo stati per la cena di San Valentino. Devo dire che abbiamo mangiato bene, piatti interessanti. Con antipasto primo e dessert ci siamo saziati Sicuramente consigliato, buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Non abbiamo trovato un piatto wow ma tutto buono e di qualità, bravi!

nel centro di Galliate proprio nei pressi della piazza del castello c'è questo locale piccolo e accogliente, il proprietario e il personale in sala sono gentili, preparati e disponibili. poiché ero ospite, non ho scelto alla carta ma avevo un "menù degustazione" molto buono, comprendeva; _ tortino di polpo e patate _ tonnarelle cacio e pepe con gambero rosso _ un risotto ai porcini, degno di nota 👍🏻 _ pesce gratinato diciamo che ho avuto modo cmq di provare la cucina e tutti i piatti ben eseguiti, il risotto con i funghi appena colti é davvero degno di nota di merito così come i tonnarelle cacio&pepe arricchiti dal gambero rosso fresco. molto ben forniti di vino, abbiamo pasteggiato con due ottimi bianchi, un metodo classico millesimato e un gewurztraminer che ben hanno accompagnato le portate.

Osteria del Borgo in Galliate, in the province of Novara, is a small restaurant (seating no more than 25-30) just steps from Piazza Vittorio Veneto, home to the beautiful Sforza Castle. I went there with a friend who loves good food, hoping to try some of the seafood dishes for which the restaurant is known. We were seated at our table by an efficient, perhaps a little overly formal, waiter. The restaurant is well-maintained and welcoming; the bathrooms are tidy and clean; the menu we were given was modest in number of courses, essentially offering two seafood and two meat dishes for appetizers, first courses, and second courses. Unfortunately, as with other restaurants, the courses aren't very detailed, making it difficult to choose. The staff isn't very helpful in clarifying any doubts or making a decision. Despite this issue, we opted for two crispy octopus bites on a cream of extra virgin olive oil-flavored potatoes and bread crumble, two steamed Venere rice dishes with gratinated prawn tails and eggplant caponata, one turbot skewer in panko bread, grilled vegetables and tartar sauce, and one "osteria gratin," all accompanied by a bottle of "La Vecchia Cantina" Vermentino and two coffees. The bill? €123.00 for two. The cost for a seafood dinner is average, but the dishes lack bite: well-plated and served, even better prepared, but lacking personality. I might be told that what I call a lack of character is actually the lightness and delicacy of the preparation, so it's a virtue, not a flaw, but I don't taste the flavor of the sea, and the osteria gratin isn't different (except for the beautifully prepared accompanying vegetables) from a packaged dish from a large-scale retailer. Besides, even though I'm certainly not a big eater, I found the portions a bit small. The chef certainly shows passion and commitment, but I'm not sure, at least for my tastes, he's going in the right direction. From social media, I see that the menu changes periodically (and this also shows the chef's passion): perhaps this one wasn't my cup of tea, perhaps I didn't understand it, and perhaps it wasn't the kitchen's favorite, so I plan to try Osteria del Borgo again for the next menu.

Andati a cena personale gentile ma quello che abbiamo mangiato non ci ha entusiasmato mancava di sale completamente e di gusto, pesce non fresco si faceva fatica a pulirlo e l ho avanzato, vitello tonnato stopposo e salsa liquida e sciapo.
