We were coming back from the Valley and we know Dairy Queen is our place to stretch. I read the prior reviews and it's unfortunate because we've always had great experiences at this Queen and today they didn't let us down. Highly recommend the Dude combo. Also, say hello to Shelby. This little young lady has an infectious smile. I notice she smiled at everyone. We had great, fast service. The bathroom is a tad older but it was clean.

As a truck driver, restaurants are important to me. During this shutdown, Dairy Queen has been the most accommodating, consistent, and polite restaurant I've come across. Most of them have a place to park my truck and trailer, will either allow me to place a phone order and walk to the drive through window or they BRING IT TO ME in my truck. A+

This place is so different than the DQs I'm used to in Dallas. The TexMex dishes were better, the homemade salsa and pick were great. Amazing 👏

Came in for our usual spot for when we travel from the valley to SA. It's always great service and customer service is on point. Even when we get a mistake it's always fixed thanks to Ms. Brenda. She really hustles to get everything in order while also using her multitasking skills and working on cash register. She's always on top of things. Very nice as well.

Last time we came in right before closing. After being on the road all night we needed some food. The Team Lead (I think her name was Stephanie) was amazing!! Great attitude and she made the atmosphere very positive. She even gave us a recommendation for a hotel. Keep up the good job girl you are amazing!! Good food, fresh and hot! Usually stop at this location whenever I'm passing through town. The team there is always pleasant and the food taste.

Overall the food was prepared well and tasted good. The only thing that kind of disgusted me was there were a lot of flies in the building. That kind of turned my stomach.

This place can't get an order right on the first try to save their souls, but when we finally got what we ordered, the food was good.

Foods good, most workers are nice, would have given 5 stars but sometimes service is a little slow. They did forget to put jalapenos on my nacho that one time also. Gurrrr

We stop here as a family when traveling from central texas to south texas. Staff is friendly. A young man called out our order and I walked towards him to grab the tray. He then said I'll go ahead and set it down; I liked that. I perceived this as this young man wanting to do his job. We ordered two #8s 6pc.

Improvement on the food. However, I asked the server for hot sauce, she replied, "We don't have any." We had to search other tables for condiments because not all had any. I looked over at the next table and there it was. This Dairy Queen still has some serious employee issues.

It was good. Great service, amazingly tasteful ice cream. JUST like a Dairy Queen should operate. Not like the one in Pleasanton, off of 37 N. That place was horrible, speaking of which I still need to do my review for.

The unofficial rest stop of Texas. That said we have never stopped here and it not have any visitors. We tend to stop here on the way south. Decent restrooms and service is good. Food is always hot and fresh. Always a good place to stop for us.

This our usual half way marker when driving to/from Austin to the valley (Edinburg). The place is a bit old and at times seems kind of dirty, but we usually grab a soda or sometimes even a desert to keep us on our way. The bathrooms are awful sometimes, bu it beats going at a gas station. Good luck!

It was not very busy, but yet I waited for about 15 minutes at drive thru, just to place order. Then I waited another 10 minutes for 3 beef tacos, when the very rude cashier came to window with order, she opened the window, practically tossed the "wrong" order at me, didn't say a word and shut window. I looked in bag because I was pretty sure I didn't order anything cold, so I stayed at window, 6 minutes before she returned for that order and waited another 5 for my order.

Went through the drive thru. They forgot to add my bacon and cheese to the double meat combo. Didn't realize it till I was 10 miles down the road. This fast food joint has only let me down once. P

Drive thru could use a little love. If they'd have people outside with a tablet like at other restaurants, they could get people in and out faster... Happy customers and more money for the business. I'm sure the girl, Stephanie M T, at the window had a rough night or something because she was very hurried and a bit rude. The speaker was not bringing across everything she was saying which added to the frustration of the visit. All in all, it's an ok stop as you're passing through, but locals may be less than proud to call this their hometown DQ.

Very long wait for our easy order - 15 minutes. Would I have been left in the drive thru window that long? I'm sure they give preferential treatment to the drive thru over those in the restaurant. Snotty woman seemed pissed off that our sundaes weren't where she expected them to be and rather than going to find them, she went on out into the dining room for something. There were very few people in the restaurant. Filthy bathrooms, very rundown. Food was great!

Unfortunately, not a huge fan! Idk if it's the oil used to cook but I didn't like it. It was the only option available that was drive-thru so figured I'd try it. The cone was delicious and the service was great but it took forever for a kid's meal. They make your order and then drive around to wait some more on a separate line.

Placed an order and it took them 20+ minutes to complete it and they didn't give me my drink or large fries, they did get the dessert okay but the rest of my order was real bad good thing I only pass by only on road trips and I hope I never order from there again.

Service was okay I order a belt buster which didn't taste very good and was made sloppy and and the bun was greasy and Soggy. But someone did mention that their breakfast was good

Loved the food but customer service is horrible. First order was wrong, replacement took FOREVER just for a kids meal. Everyone looks and acts like they hate their life!

The Taco shell tasted like burned grease the meat tasted dry and lacked spices . I literally returned the food and headed to the Whataburger in Falfurrias, Texas.

Great place to go for a $4.00 hotdog and a cashier who never learned Best Practices of Customer Service, like how to smile. Even the customers are insensitive. Had to wait in middle of the highway to pull in due to rude customers blocking the entrance to preserve their place in the drive thru line and customers inside hogging the tables in front of the only tv but never even paying attention to the news show, blocking us news addicts from hearing or seeing anything. And the manager who has to cook since the cook didn't show up. And I could go on and on.

Extremely long wait. We were told that a school order came in and out order wouldn't be close to be done until well over 30 minutes later. On a regular day they tend to be out of tea pretty often. The staff is always very busy and food tends to take a while to be done. I believe it's truly short of staff.

As soon as you walked in all you could smell was oil. The lady taking our order did not have an ounce of friendliness to offer. The food arrived in a timely manner a d the lady delivering the meals was the 1st friendly face that we had seen. As we ate we ascertained that the steak fingers were cooked in old oil. When my husband went to ask for a spoon, 3 employees ignored him. He had to call out to them so they would pay attention to him. Not stopping here again.

On 8/29/24 called in 2 beltbusters and a chicken basket. Burgers were soak in grease but the chicken basket was alright Again order a burger on September 2 and again another greasy burger, what is the deal with this. Next time I should post it on Facebook.

This is now the second time we have been to this place. The first time was actually a really good experience. This time today for lunch, not so much. If you are going to advertise avocado for $1, at least give me some avocado that is worth putting on a salad. In addition, my wife said that the women's bathroom did not seem like it was cleaned in weeks. If this is the hygiene of thewe employees taking care of their bathroom, you can presume that same lack of hygiene when it comes to putting together your burger. I don't think we will be back anytime soon.....

Customer service her is usually great this time around it was absolutely horrible. We ordered through the drive through two sundaes, one banana split, and one M&M blizzard.The drive through cashier messed up on our order we had ordered a M&M blizzard and they gave us a Oreo blizzard. We kindly told the lady that that was the wrong blizzard and that the sundae didn’t have the whip cream and walnuts that they usually come with. She then came back with what looked like it was thrown ice cream and gave a bad attitude. If needed to we would have asked for them when we made our order or selected if given the option. Common DQ you can do better!

I'm a big fan of DQ desserts and food is usually fine but this time the chicken strips were small, dry and not even warm. Bruger was just ok. They didn't give us ketchup either. Very disappointed

Great food but the customer service I received today was horrible. They should not have kids working drive thru if they can’t be nice!

Waited 30min in drive-thru! Was blocked in so I couldn't leave. Was told they were busy inside, should be able to handle both.

This place needs alot more training,I went by to pickup a called order,paid and was told to wait on lane C waited 30 minutes while my order went to two other vehicles, I just imagine people looking into all the food and found out it not their order.So I ordered something different to replace the order once again waited 40 minutes.

This place shouldn't even get a star. Over 30 minutes in line and still have not got food. Don't waste your time here. If I didn't just pay I would be on my way to Sonic better service and wait time. Horrible costumer service, passed thru on a road trip wanted fast so we went thru drive thru and they told us it would be 10min before they would take orders we said ok we'll get off, once inside they told us it would be 30min before they tool orders. Extremely rude the lady preparing the food had a horrible attitude with another costumer who was waiting for their food. The restaurant wasn't even busy at most there was 10ppl in the restaurant some eating some waiting for food, and only one car in drive thru.

On 11/12/18, the trainee Rose was very rude while operating the register. After ordering a salad we asked what types of dressings were available. She stepped back from the counter, rolled her eyes, and made several "huffing" sounds before rudely asking "For what?". The salad maybe? It was as if the very question was bothering her soul. Oh, and we didn't get the dressing with our order. Very poor interaction.

I waited at this damn Dairy Queen for my two blizzards for 20 minutes. They told us to park on the backside of the building and they’d bring it out to us, but they did not. I went in twice to see if it had been made, both times they said they were still making it?! The wait was ridiculous, never coming here ever again!

We all know DQ has always been a little expensive on some things but $15.00 for a 8 piece of chicken strips maybe a spoonful of fries 1 piece of toast and barely enough gravy for a 2 y r old. Now I know that I didn't have to eat here but that's what my daughter wanted. The wait was absolutely ridiculous. The people in front of us in the drive thru waited 15 mins that I know if for a ice cream cone (dipped), a blizzard, and possibly a shake. The restaurants wasn't even busy. Just ridiculous...we were asked to move over to lane B to wait for your burgers an additional 15 mins. I will not be going back. This isn't the first time this has happened here

This Dairy Queen is one of the dirtiest, unorganized location I've ever been to. Most of the tables and booths are very dirty with bits of trash strewn about. The workers at the register are either inexperienced or unskilled or both. The cashier that took our order was very slow and rude. When I'd pointed out that we ordered not two but one Blizzard, he took one and just chucked it in the trash before handing a cash refund. Mind you, this was after the lunch hour, at around 2:30 p.m. I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone, ever. There are a lot more decent fast food places to go to, and it is not here.

Absolutely worst Dairy Queen in the entire state of Texas. If you want to spend your money on food you actually intended and don’t want to wait a half hour just don’t come here.

Very bad service 20 min for an order and my kids getting crazy, will never come back

I’m trying to figure out why it takes 30 minutes to go through the drive-through every time we go to this location. I pulled in at 12:32 pm and did not leave with my food until 12:59 PM. Several people behind me had already left. This isn’t just the first occurrence either. Seems like it always happens and going inside isn’t much better either. When I finally did receive my food it was all cold… Thanks!

Service was very SLOW, our food took awhile for to get it. When we ordered food it took over 20 mins. We we waited in line for 20 mins to order our ice cream items. Then had to wait 15 more mins to get them made. Never again!

Customer service might of been a little bit more helpful. When asked for lids for hot fudge sundae and banana split.we were told they didn't come with lids. Funny because I get them in Marble falls, Texas with kids all the time. She was real short with us.

Ordered my food and waited at the window then they asked if I can go to lane B because my order wasn’t ready. I asked how long was it going to take and she replied “I don’t know we have a new cook. Hello, on Thursday 5/16/2024, at about 9 pm, my family and I stopped at this Dairy Queen for a meal as we traveled to San Marcos for a graduation ceremony the next day. At arrival I observed there were about 4 people sitting at a table chatting and eating. I also saw behind the counter there were 3 employees at the cooking area seemingly chit chatting. I stood at the counter ordering line there waiting for at least 10 minutes but the employees didn't even look my direction. I waited several more minutes and didn't get any attention whatsoever. I also noticed there were no cars at the drive thru lane to place any orders. After even a few more minutes of being ignored my family of 4 and I decided to leave to another venue. Sadly, not even a "ill be with you in a minute" or something from those people was received. I hope the business owners realize what kind of employees they have working here providing counterproductive results. Its so sad because George West is a business town that we travel through all the time. No more stopping at this Dairy Queen!

Stopped for a bite to eat after being on the road for over 7 hours to visit family. Saw this establishment and was craving a burger and my oreo blizzard. Walked in and saw the restaurant with a bit of guests but nobody waiting in line. Walked up to the counter and kept seeing a young lady picking up orders and taking them to their tables. Not once did she acknowledge me or the ladies behind me as the line started to grow with no one taking any orders. Another lady on the other side in the kitchen area would see me every now and then but never called anybody to come over to assist. Stayed waiting for about 10 min but was just completely ignored. Atleast an acknowledgement would've been appreciated but felt like this business didn't even care about any walk-in customers. I'd rather go to the gas station across the street and pay for an overpriced treat instead of ever stopping here on any future trips. Will also let my family/friends know to ignore this place for sure and keep driving as if there was no restaurant in sight.

They internet and all signs said they close at 10pm but I got there at 9:42pm and they literally locked the door when they saw me parking. So, I ordered through the drive thru and they failed to give me a straw, ketchup and gave me a small Sunday when I had ordered a medium. And they locked the drive thru window so I couldn’t ask for anything. Horrible manager.

Super rude girl that works there. I ordered a moolatte and have gotten one before passing thru as it’s easy to handle while driving. This girl handed me what looked like a blizzard with fudge all through it and a spoon. I told her this isn’t what I ordered she then insisted it was so I told her well I can’t take it since I’m driving so I’ll just have a chocolate shake. She went to make a shake talking about me the whole time to another coworker. I left empty handed I was so upset. Had also already paid. Never ever will I be back. This was on Monday afternoon, the staff needs hospitality training.

Ordered an oreo cheesecake blizzard that didnt have any oreo or cheesecake in it. Tasted like strawberry, went back to complain they tell me its blended in. Worst blizzard I have ever had at any DQ anywhere in the country. Threw it out the window.

Stopped here for a "quick' drive through food on our way home to Riviera from a game in Three Rivers. Big mistake! Very slooooooooow service. This was at 9 pm. Thirty minute wait for our food.

This location has THE WORST customer service. We went through the drive thru and ordered a single burger, a chicken strip meal, a taco salad and a hotdog meal, ordered in that order. They didn’t provide a receipt when we paid and also didn’t give the taco salad. When we questioned it, the girl who took the payment asked for the receipt which she knew she didn’t give us, and then another girl came and asked for the receipt yet again. We told her they didn’t give it to us. She then came back and said they didn’t charge us for it. When we questioned it because the guy repeated it back to us, twice, she said they didn’t charge us for it. She rudely ROLLED her eyes at us and shut the drive thru window. We will NEVER go back to this location again. UNACCEPTABLE customer service. Do better with the staff you have to represent your company!

Raw chicken was served. Went back they recooked it and tossed it back onto the same box. Cross contaminated the food a second time. I wasn't the only one that was returning food several others did too. This place use to be a good passing through pitstop. Now I'm just gonna avoid it

Cashier got the order wrong, I ordered steak finger basket they brought out chicken fingers. I sent it back, then they brought out steak fingers, then the manager came to our table to collect $1.09, for what was their mistake, we said we shouldn’t have to pay for their error. She was became rude about it and threatened us. The whole place is horribly run down, bathroom STILL has stalls out of order. Was always our regular stop, but will not be again and I don’t recommend it!

Stopped for a quick burger, and the lady at the drive thru windows said it was a 15+min wait due to lots of orders in front. The parking lot had three cars. Goes to show you when folks don't really want to work when it's close to the end of the night.
