I love their steak and cheese subs and homemade chips!! It Satisfies my hearty appetite!! Yum 😋 wings are also Great tasting!
Great service, good selection of menu items, all of our food came out fast and was tasty. We had the pepperoni pizza and it was really good. The side salad was really good too.
Amazing pizza, the young lady at the counter was very helpful, and very polite. Only bad thing was some mohawk chick flipped me the bird 😂 her boyfriend or whatever mean mugged me, and then moved tables. No idea what I did. It was comical, all in all I recommend you check this place out.
I love the food here. You can drink a beer with your dinner. I like to dine and so I can play the games. It's family-oriented and stays open kind of late. A fun atmosphere and great help
This pizza reminds me of a pizza place I used to work for and enjoy as a night out. The place was Shotgun Sam's. But Georgios pizza has a excellent taste of its own. The employees are courteous and professional. Highly recommend!
Had some pizza at lunch. Loved it, crust reminds me of a deep dish, Chicago style. The place is large and clean, with some arcade games and large tables for big groups. Will definitely be back.
This has become our go to place for pizza, calzones, salad, and gelato! They do serve alcohol, and allow for you to run a tab. There is plenty of seating, and the air conditioning is felt when you walk in the door. Pizza is brought out to you, or you can call in your order for pick up.
Stopped by while visiting family and I must say it was pretty great. Good pizza and the subs looked good. The cold beer was a plus!
From our road trip from SA we stopped to try the pizza and it was way worth it. The pizza was perfect and delicious and great customer service. We highly recommended
This place is great. I went one day then went back the next. Definitely worth the drive from San antonio.
We stopped to order sandwiches to go and it was excellent! Debated about ordering the pizza as it looked amazing. I'll for sure stop in again on the way through!
Great Italian subs, calzones and pizza. Really fresh. Very clean place. Pleasant surprise to find such high quality in a small town. Worth every cent!
The restaurant is clean. Easy access from main road. Food is amazing. We ordered the pizza and calzone. Beats any name brand pizzaria. Highly recommend.
It was during the School lunch hour . And there were several tables full of kids. But they were low key. So it was alright to stay and eat there.
Didn't find it pricey compared to other pizza places. It's a find. Don't judge the food by the exterior. Staff was wonderful!
Georgio's Pizza & Subs - A Delightful Dining Experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Georgio's Pizza & Subs, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Located conveniently in the heart of town, this restaurant offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Ambiance: The moment you step into Georgio's, you're greeted by a warm and inviting setting. The decor is charming, with a mix of modern and classic elements that create a comfortable vibe. The seating is ample, and the layout is spacious enough to accommodate groups without feeling cramped. Service: The staff at Georgio's is exceptional. From the friendly greeting at the door to the attentive service throughout the meal, everyone is dedicated to making your dining experience enjoyable. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The service was prompt, and we never felt rushed, which added to the overall pleasant experience. Food: The highlight of Georgio's is undoubtedly the food. We started with the garlic knots, which were perfectly baked—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of garlic and butter. For the main course, we ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a meatball sub. The pizza was outstanding; the crust was thin and crispy, the sauce had a rich, tangy flavor, and the cheese was melted to perfection with generous pepperoni slices. The meatball sub was equally impressive, with tender, flavorful meatballs smothered in marinara sauce and topped with melted cheese, all served on a fresh, toasted roll. Value: Georgio's offers great value for money. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite. Considering the quality and quantity of the food, the prices are very reasonable. Overall: Georgio's Pizza & Subs is a must-visit for anyone who loves great pizza and subs. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a top choice for both casual dining and special occasions. I highly recommend Georgio's and can't wait to return for another satisfying meal.
My husband and I stopped at this place coming back from the coast, because he wanted pizza. It’s not right off Hwy 37, so you have to travel a little out of your way to get there, BUT it’s definitely worth the little detour. My husband had the pepperoni pizza and it was super fresh and delicious! The crust was thin, plenty of cheese and pepperoni. The sauce to us, was slightly sweet, but we like that 😋! I had the tuna sandwich and to be honest I wasn’t expecting much lol. However, my mind changed pretty quickly after taking the first bit. First, it was super fresh, even the bread seemed homemade 😳! The tuna had just light Mayo, very generous portion with lettuce and tomatoes stacked on top. Prices were reasonable to us as well. Service was good.
Well to the gentleman that gave a false review. Sir you did not wait over an hour for your order. But thank you for your business have a wonderful evening.
Great meatball sub and good pizza. Nice atmosphere. Order at counter and they deliver to the table.
I've had pizza all over the world, and this is a really good pizza. Unsuspecting in a small town. Staff is very professional, the restaurant is kept super clean!! Oh, the lemon pepper wings and buffalo wing are yummy and. Hearty proportion and wing size.
First time customer and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of pizza in a small, rural town. This is probably the best pizza I have had in a very, very long time. I highly recommend it. I can’t speak to the other menu items as I haven’t tried them yet, but if they’re anything near as good as the pizza, I will be returning often to give everything a try. The restaurant was also very clean and the staff was friendly.
If you looking to get that snall town feel and good pizza.. then you definitely want to stop in for a good tasting pie! The pizza was amazing! Everything tasted fresh! You get that really good stretching cheese! The garlic cheesy bread was also really good.
We have ordered pick up from here several times over the last 3 only to be disappointed but today 8-10-24 the pizza was by far the best we ever had from there we ordered the prima pepperoni with extra cheese did not disappoint the crust was perfect not doughy or over cooked have to say 10 out of 10 please keep the cook and give him a raise
I work in small towns more often than not, it's hard to find a good pizza place that isn't Mainstream (I.E. Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa John's etc.) I ordered a small Pepperoni and Jalapeno and I couldn't have been more satisfied. The entire pizza from crust to toppings was well put together a cooked! This is coming from someone who delivered pizzas and was a manager for 3 years. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning before I leave the area!
Pepperoni pizza was delicious! Passing through and decided to stop and have pizza not knowing what to expect. We definitely were not disappointed. Lots of pepperoni, medium size perfectly cooked. Other items on the menu and many different pizzas to choose from. Gelato is also sold there. Great place to eat!
Called in an order for pickup on our way back to the RGV from Dallas. House pizza was delicious!!! My daughter had the cheese pizza and she loved it!!! Definitely will make it a stopping point when we travel on 281.
Good Food… Recommend to everyone 👍🏻
Just traveling through town and stopped 😁... Yummy good pizza. I had a veggie pizza. We saw many people with lot's of different items that all looked good. .my husband had meatball sub he loved the sweet sauce , It was a 3 napkin sub 😂
We stumbled upon Georgio‘s pizza and subs by chance, driving back to San Antonio from McAllen. This was our lucky day. Do you know how hard it is to find pizza this good? Add to that, delicious hot submarine sandwich and you have found a gold mine. We will definitely take the long drive back to enjoy this restaurant again. We had a pepperoni pizza, fried pickles, chicken Parmigiana submarine, a steak bomb, and some boneless wings. Everything was cooked to perfection and better than your average pizza place. If you see this sign, stop by, you will not regret it.
I got pizza and my hubby got a meatball sub. Both were AMAZING!!!! It is a little pricey, but not as bad as as a lot of reviewers say it is. But you get what you pay for!!! We got pizza from a cheaper place before this one and ended up giving most of that to the chickens. So get your food from here, pay the money, and enjoy your food!!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Best pizza joint around.
Great family owned spot! Everything made to order - even house made ranch dressing! Whaaat? Great stuff
Service was great food came out quick pizza was delicious!
Great pizza, worth a stop if you're hungry in the area. Their homemade ranch was delicious too.
A bit pricey but worth it for the quality of the food that is served to you. Such great flavor comes from this pizza joint. I will admit, if this place was not so pricey we would go more often, but it cost $50 dollars for just two of us, getting a salad, 2 drinks and a medium speciality pizza.
On the afternoon of Wed, 12/17/25, I had lunch at Georgio's. The female employee who took my order was courteous and welcoming. The wait time for my food was very reasonable. My chicken parmesan pizza arrived to my table fresh and hot. The pie appeared to be cooked just right, and it was savory with each bite. All of those factors make it easy for me to give a 5-star rating :-)
For starters, the food was exceptional. I got a meat lover’s pizza and a chef’s salad, and everything tasted delicious and fresh, especially for such a great price. Next, the service was amazing. The lovely girl at the cash register was so sweet and welcoming, making the atmosphere feel very comfortable. I have no complaints whatsoever. The staff was great, the food was great, the prices were great, and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely be coming back consistently.
We finally decided to stop here on our way down to Edinburgh and we are happy that we did because The Pizza honestly was excellent and very reasonably priced! If you're hungry and don't want to eat at the usual fast food restaurants that you'll find around the area (and there aren't that many restaurants options in the area btw) then I highly recommend stopping and giving this palace a try!
Pizza was delicious! Place looked empty and we wondered if it was actually closed, but thankfully it wasn’t. We noticed a lot of people pick up to go and shortly after we arrived it started getting busy. Restaurant was really clean. We tried 2 different pizzas, they were both great! Will stop again on our way to San Antonio.
Really nice pizzeria with good food. Liked their Mexican cheese pizza and chicken wings. Wish the habanero sauce was spicy instead of being on sweeter side. Friendly staff and good service. Good options for vegetarians. They have arcade video games that kept the kids occupied. Nice pit stop off the highway.
WOW!!!! Absolutely great food! We picked up an order to go and the food was fabulous. The small calzone was HUGE! The cheeses used were flavorful and tasty while the meat was plentiful. Seasoning was well balanced. The pizza was really good and the crust was crispy and tasty. If you are looking for some fantastic food in a small town…this is your place.
So this place is a ridden gem....we ordered some of the jal stuffed with cheese...since lady was alone she accidentally took them out sooner than she should have but she fix us right back up with a new batch now the pizza omfg best around especially the crispy crust
The pizza was very delicious. The tables and soda pop area, were clean and tidy. The service was off the charts, as I was a bit skeptical about the place. I take my hat off to this restaurant. Did I mention the pizza was delicious?
The pizza is absolutely delicious, however, we also ordered the boneless wings, which were obviously not wings but only chicken breast nuggets. The lady who was at the till was very helpful and genuine, but stay clear of the "boneless wings".
Stopped here traveling through the area. I love pizza and prefer New York style which is always hard to find. This wasn’t New York style but it was pretty good. The crust was a little overdone but overall a decent pizza.
I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was very well done!!! The sauce is a little sweet, but they balanced it out alright with the other seasonings. I did not personally try the pizza but my friends did and they thought it was delicious!! They also give very very generous servings!!! Overall a very good restaurant!
The pizza was excellent. However, the staff could be a little friendlier.
Food very good. Got the meat lovers canzone. It tasted very good as long as you add the sauce it comes with it. Only thing is it's too greasy for my palette.
Pizza was a little oily due to pepperoni but after soaking up he oil with paper towels it was delicious! I will be back!
The pizza was great! Didn't try anything else on the menu. Cleanliness of the restaurant, 3 stars, could have been better. The soda machine had a little bit of slime in the ice dispenser. The men's bathroom door feels like it's going to fall off the hinges. Our pizza with 2 sodas/(receipt) came out to $14 per person, a bit pricey, but the pizza was great.
I passed through town on my way to work and decided to stop by for a meal. The wings were pretty good, though they could have used a touch more seasoning. The pizza was top-notch, and the calzone was the highlight of the meal. I particularly enjoyed the way that they sliced it into cubes so you could enjoy small samples. Nice visit, but not a lot of dessert options
Very quiet when we went in. Service was good and didn't take long. Flavor wasn't a big bonus here. Kind of bland. Cheesy garlic bread was a toasted sub bun. All edible just nothing I'd rush back to get
Food was good. But the business end was too much to handle tonight I guess. A lot of confusion up front. I got someone else’s calzone. Didn’t realize till I was back at my place. It was good though.
The only thing I found wrong was our pizza were drenched in sauce. But everything else was great, very nice waitress and very clean.. We did request easy on the sauce. That can be fixed..
Lady working was not very friendly food okay BUT THEY NEED TO UPDATE PRICING ONLINE, oh yeah and price is absurd
I ordered the Super Sub. Roast beef, Bacon, Ham, and cheese. I got one super thin piece of Roast Beef. One piece of bacon. I didn't see any ham. One super thin piece of cheese. A mound of lettuce. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money on that sandwich .
Ordered a large half pepperoni and supreme. We waited at our table for about 30 mins. When the waitress brought the pizza to us, it wasn't what we ordered (a lg sausage) we told her what we had ordered and she told us "just eat this one" after politely saying no. She rolled her eyes and we had to wait another 15 minutes. 3 stars because the pizza was kinda tasty.
Jan 2026 Had no choice but to dine again. Had same Veggie pizza with small Cheese pizza which was at least better than the veggie pizza. I paired it with Maggie Masala and sev and somehow survived. July 2025 As a vegetarian, I was excited to find at least one good option in town… but sadly, the Veggie Pizza showed up looking like it forgot to set an alarm. It wasn’t terrible — just kind of… lazy. Like, it showed up to the party with cheese and veggies but left all the flavor at home. No zing, no sauce magic, just doughy sadness with toppings. Not sure why it tasted so bland — maybe the chef was having a “low spice” kind of day? Anyway, it’s okay. I survived.
I came in for lunch after reading quite a few reviews. I was pretty excited. However, that soon turn to disappointment. I ordered a large calzone and 6 Mango Habanero wings with a fountain drink, almost $28 for lunch for one person... My wings come out and I ask the lady if it dressing was ranch or Blue Cheese. She says Ranch so I ask if I can have Blue Cheese instead. She says she will have to charge me extra. Now, I might understand that if I had asked for "extra" but I just wanted it substituted. Not only that but at $7 for 6 wings, I would think an extra of the tiny little container of dressing would not be a big deal. The wings were well cooked. Crispy on the outside but moist inside. The flavor of the Habanero Mango was very light. It looked like they maybe brushed a little sauce on them and called it day. While sweet, it had almost no heat and just not enough of it on the wings at all. When the "Steak" calzone came out the real disappointment started. First, the "large" is about the size of a 12" pizza folded in half. The "steak" is actually "steakum" and at $24 for basically a 12" pizza I was really expecting to have real sliced beef, not some cheap processed alternative. The amount of "steakum" was even lacking as well as was the cheese. The marinara sauce was actually very good even though I am not a huge fan of marinara. Overall, if this place cost at least half as much as it did I would probably give it 4 out of 5. However, with the prices they are charging I am forced to only give them two.
Bragged to my boyfriend how delicious parmigian chicken was there decided to try something else Philly steak sub the amount of salt they put on it made it unedible! Very disappointed!
Well it's expensive! I juse drove to Mathis ate a black forest sub sandwich with pickle Spears and chips on th side with a tea dined in house. Ordered 2 large pizzas with 2 toppings and free bread sticks to go for a total for $30.89 with tax. Including sandwich and tea for all that amount.
Food tasted sour. They also got the order clearly wrong and tried to say it was correct. A meatball sub is not a Italian sub. They even missed ingredients when trying to correct it. Very subpar. Bathroom was dirty with poop everywhere and no hand soap.
Haven't even tried the pizza yet. Passing through from Austin. If you wanna stand around for an hour waiting for pizza, come here. Otherwise, go literally anywhere else lol. Slow is an understatement here.
The BEST thing about this place is the atmosphere! There are a couple of old quarter video games and the dining room is very open and spacious. That being said, let's get to it.... Pizza - piping hot, I'll give them that, but it's SO SAUCY (NOT IN A GOOD WAY) that it's almost impossible to eat. I got a to-go order and put the boxes in front passenger seat of my F250. It has a slight incline for your butt. The toppings were on one side of the pie by the time I got home because it was so fluid. We were unable to save it, and because ordering pizza is what you do when you just don't wanna do anything else, we ate it. Now let me touch on the toppings...this is so freaking ridiculous! My wife doesn't like onions, but likes olives. Their "supreme" Pizza comes with onions. When asked NOT to put onions, they are very accommodating. But when I asked for the olives instead, they said they had to charge $3.99 for an additional topping. What? You are literally going to put your hand in the olive bucket instead of the onion bucket to make the pizza!!! You're goi g to tell me that "change" costs you $4? This brings me to service....when asked about this, the general reaction is a shrug and the comment, "we have to charge for it." I have spoken to the owner and she basically says the same thing with an attitude of "you don't have to eat here." (She's never said that to me, just the general attitude from her and the staff) I absolutely HATE giving these people my money, but my family tolerates the place. I mean, they don't even like it that much, but it's the only pizza place in town. Every time we get food there, we all talk about all the things we don't like, and yet they keep asking me to go back. I HATE IT!
This place sux ass me and my family tried to go here at 8:30 pm on Halloween and these lazy kids that work there said they had too many people and wouldn't serve us and turned us away I'm pissed my kids wanted pizza!!! :(
I was standing at the counter and saw the young girl working in the back, slicing tomatos. Every so often, she would pop a slice of tomato into her mouth. Extremely unsanitary. Hand to mouth and back to the tomatos. I was disgusted! Also, the Calzone wasn't hot, only luke warm. I had to request for it to be nuked. Can't recommend this place due to the unsanitary actions of the employee (with the ugly tattoos on her forearms).
the food was sub par at best i remember when they first opened there food was amazing now i dont know what happened the menu's not up to date on here told them they did not seem to care or maybe not know how to change it lady with black hair was rude spend 55 bucks for one pizza and a couple of small pieces of wings
We were passing through town. We wanted something fast and inexpensive. We saw pizza and subs, so we stopped. It was a Steakhouse. Unfortunately, we left. Oh, I understand the concepts to reading. If you are a person passing through and the signs are next to each other with one sign by the street that states, Georgia, and the other just underneath to the left, well, wouldn't you be confused too!! Maybe you should take a lesson yourself!
Coming from a local the pizza is horrible. I will drive to Mathis or Beeville to get something decent. Y’all seriously need to step up you quality. Cheese was sour even cooked you could smell it, I asked for light sauce which was fine, but the whole pizza dough was not even done. Seriously I will never order from there ever again.
I ended up ordering the cheese steak sub. Not going to lie it was terrible. All I could taste is thyme seasoning. I asked the girl on the phone what is the difference between the cheese steak and the bomb and she said there was no difference. So I ordered my cheese steak with mushrooms onions. Nice size sub but wasn't edible. The pizza chips got super soggy super quick. I will not go back.Chicken wings were decent. My wife ordered those but I thought that I could taste the old oil they were cooked in. The price on the wings was really good considering how expensive they are now.
This place is not right customer service sucks I walked in placed my order 10 minutes later a group of 10 white folks walked in and ordered mind you I’m already waiting for my food so they placed they ordered all they food came out before mines she tell me she waiting on my wings now they got wings pizza pasta and all my food was cold as well then I tell her that’s not right she laughed in my face smh racism is still here yall I got my money back and walked out never going back in there again
I called 6 times and it rang and they hung up on me when they finally answered at 8:03 pm. They told me they closed at 8:30 when Google Maps says at 9 pm. The girl was very upset and took my order. I am a frequent customer, but it is the last time I buy there because it is ugly to pay for bad treatment.
Mmmm Nothing Like Dried Out Chicken! With A Weird Chalky Flavor from Who Knows How Manys Days Old! Haaha Nah But FR Dont Order Salads From Here.. Asfar As My Pizza, They Hardly Added Any Marinera Sauze for The Overprized Pizza and Forgot My Favorite Topping! Wheres The Pineapple!!! 🤨
The employees were nice and the place had a good vibe although dirty. All the tables were dirty although there was only 2 tables in use. Hands down the worst pizza I ever had. The crust was like a pressed, burnt hotdog bun, but not as good. Definitely not pizza crust. Ordered a BBQ chicken bacon pizza and it came without the bacon and onions, and maybe half the pizza had a little sauce. Instead of chicken, it was cut up chicken nuggets from Walmart, like you'd feed a 4 year old. They probably were in the shape of dinosaurs. Just go to Little Caesars of even 7-11.
Trying to support a small business. We usually stop there on our way to San Antonio. staff never friendly. Would it hurt to say hello. Ordered Italian subs. A very thin slice of ham and one pastrami round. There was No dressing on bread .Subs were completely dry, mainly lettuce and tomato. . Which were skimpy.also. When I got my to go order and opened it I thought it was only the bread. Poor quality poor service So disappointed.
Went there expecting a good pizza/calizone not great but good. We went to order and it started at the prices on the menu. I paid $19.00 for a SMALL calizone and the prices went all the way up to 26 dollars for a regular size pizza and I thought I would give them a chance to taste and see the quality of the food. It took 25 minutes to get my food and they ran it through the pizza oven 3 times and burnt the calizone and messed up our orders then gave us the wrong orders after telling us they don’t remember which was which and then got attitude for us trying to figure out which one was correct and for the price of the food it is not worth no more than $10 the visual and taste was not very pleasing and I feel sorry for anybody that falls for the scam I call it. Please eat at your own risk and dime. I didn’t take any photos because I was just ready to leave I was very disappointed
TRASH. Food is trash service is trash and the employees are trash even the owners are trash apparently and don't care about refunding a wrong order. They'll overcharge you for an order that isn't yours then argue about how they won't give you a refund for overcharging you on someone else's order. Frozen pizzas are just as good as this place. Wouldn't recommend this place when they're overpriced trash
I walked in the door and no one greeted me. The place was empty I was the only customer...stood there for a few minutes and not a single person greeted me. Was meeting a friend for lunch. And just left. Upon leaving I noticed a bell next to the cashier area. Ok first off a full service restaurant should not require a bell to ring to welcome guests. That is just absolutely not acceptable. It shows lack of attention to a #1 priority and a lack of sense of urgency to do what a full service restaurant is supposed to do. The ring bells at the dollar store . Not a full service restaurant....
I know you’re in a hurry to close. But instead of playing like children behind the counter maybe you could make sure the meat on the pizza is cooked all the way, because ours was pink & RAW. Almost every piece of ground beef or “meatball”. Disgusting. And for the freaking price, this is ridiculous.
