I can't fault this place, courteous staff, amazing food and good prices. I've booked my weeding dinner here for 10 people. I've asked the restaurant to pre-order what I wanted from the menu, they were super professional and kind. All the guests were impressed with the food quality, in particular with the black seafood paella. In the place where this restaurant is there are more restaurants but I've noticed they don't serve food as fresh and "Spanish" as this one. If you're looking for freshly prepared food in a warm and relaxed environment I would recommend this place.

Superb. Spectacular. Just need to book ahead. I don't have enough superlatives to describe our recent dining experiences with Casa Pepe where we went twice on our first post-Covid trip ever to GIB. The food (both seafood and meat courses), wine and waterfront ambience are excellent. The service and recommendations were on point. The restaurant has a loyal clientele for good reason so it is highly recommended to book ahead by dropping them an email. Our tip would be to have a meal closer to the resto opening time, especially if you want a time efficient meal as things get busier. Our food picks were the Iberico pork loin, the black rice paella and the fried scorpion fish. Definitely will be returning on any visit to Gibraltar. Kudos to Brian and team!

A great evening meal was had by all of us. Even if we were a little unorthodox with our food order. Food selection is excellent whether you like seafood and or meat. We opted for several sharing dishes and all were very good quality and were a decent size.

On our first day in Gibraltar we found ourselves in Queensway Quay Marina following recommendation from our taxi driver. We decided to try Casa Pepe as the menu looked more homely & traditional to the other restaurants along the quay. What a great choice. We had a selection of dishes to share tapas style & everything was delicious. The atmosphere & service was welcoming & friendly. Would definitely recommend Casa Pepe. We will definitely be going back, in fact we booked a table for the following day before leaving the restaurant. Thank you to all at Casa Pepe for a lovely evening & making our first night in Gibraltar very memorable.

A delightful restaurant on the waterfront. We went there on local recommendation - and were not disappointed. Very helpful knowledgable staff with excellent advice re food choices and accompanying wines. A great meal at reasonable price (compared to UK). I do not recognise the description given in some of the negative reviews! We had a fantastic time - and the number of locals enjoying their meal there suggests that we are not mistaken! Highly recommended!!!

A real find. 10 of us just turned up mo booking and the staff mad us truly welcome. Great range of food including fish, each dish arrived with nice break in between. The staff are so friendly and nothing was to much. It's one of those places you find and cannot believe the food and service. Big thank you all for putting up with 10 of us.👍

This is one of our Gibraltar favourites. The food is delicious and you can tell the ingredients they use are fresh and good quality. I was so surprised to see some negative comments on here - we have been coming for years and have had an excellent experience every time. This has got to be the best cuisine I have tasted in Gibraltar. The service and food are everything I want from a restaurant. We found Casa Pepe at the end of our trip on evening of 21 May 2022 or we would have visited again. What appeared to us to be a family run restaurant we were made to feel welcome as soon as we sat down until we left. Fish dishes were superb and fresh. Loved the place and will return when next in Gibraltar

If you are visiting Gibraltar and you only go to one restaurant, this is the one. To set expectations, this is not a super chic restaurant like everything next to it, but the food and service is amazing. Food wise, we didn't have a single bad item. The paella black and traditional are some of the best paella I have ever had. We got the stuffed asparagus, stuffed peppers, and boquerones to start, which were amazing. Due to small language barrier we did get the fried anchovies boquerones instead of smoked salmon, but it was so good. One of our friends doesn't like anchovies and they still ate it and said it was so fresh and not fishy. The desserts hit it out of the park as well. We got the gelato, Pepe's Tart, Alfie Cream pie (banana pie), and Egg Flan. The flan was top notch with a lot of similarities to a Creme brulee. The services was phenomenal as well. Didn't feel rushed and everyone was extremely accomodating, even with our slight language barrier. No one was rude, and they gave us our space but came as soon as they noticed you needed something. Atmosphere was friendly and cozy. A place you would take your family for a nice meal and to relax.

Beautiful setting , served olives as soon as sat down , my only complaint was the waiter was a little pushy he came over to the table 3 times reeling off the menu when my husband just hadn't made his mind up yet. The older waiter who brought food over was lovely really chatty he was a pleasure to deal with. Food was lovely we both had a prawn cocktail to start , I had king prawn macarena which was lovely , bit dubious about banana being in there but they were mini banana fritters and complimented dish nicely. My husband chose steakl and chips which he enjoyed. Cost a bit more here than every restaurant we have been to but I still enjoyed my meal and would return.

I would really like to give 4.5 but we don't have that option. The reason it wasn't a 5 was a mix up in my wife's and mums sauces. Not a really big issue but it did spoil the food for one of our party. Having said that we have been there twice now and each time we have all enjoyed the food and the ambience. If you like sharing then ordering a selection of tapas is a great starter and they are really nice. For mains they often do specials and these are normally to share again but even if you just have off the menu you won't be disappointed. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and overall one of the best meals in Gibraltar. Edit: this was mentioned to the staff who acknowledged it but we didn't want to make any changes as this would mean a change and people not eating at the same time. See you in October when we hope to be in Gibraltar again and that m you for taking the time to reply. I honestly don't know what some reviewers are complaining about we find your staff very welcoming and extremely helpful, even allowing us to celebrate with our own bottle of Champagne someone had given as a present without a cork charge.

Nettes spanisch ausgerichtetes Lokal in der Nachbarschaft dreier anderer sehr schöner Restaurants (The Landings, Rendezvous, Waterfront). Die Aussicht auf den Yachthafen ist romantisch. Die Gerichte sind sehr gut, auch für Vegetarier ist einiges dabei (u.a. Paella de verduras und Tortilla). Das Personal ist nett und aufmerksam. Ab 21 Uhr wird es schlagartig voll, weil plötzlich die Spanier anrücken.

The food here was very excellent. The seafood were all really fresh and well made. The prawns were succulent and the Galician octopus was nice and soft and very flavorful. The service was also pretty good. We really enjoyed the food here. The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is that the house wine (wine by the glass) was quite disappointing; the experience could be made nearly perfect had they used a better vintage for the house wine.

Neither the service nor the restaurant is too appealing, and the rudeness of the host doesn't make up for it. Telling a customer kitchen is out of a dish doesn't have to be so aggressive, specially if it's not contested in any way!

Zum Hauptgang wurde das Hähnchenbrustfilet mit Weißwein Soße und Reis bestellt. Geschmacklich war das Essen Top. Ein Stern Abzug gibt's wegen der langen Wartezeit auf das Essen, ungefähr eine Stunde. Ein weiterer Stern wird wegen dem Starter, welches bestellt wurde, abgezogen. Das wurde eher zum Finisher, da dieser erst zusammen mit dem Hauptgang kam. Dessert fiel somit aus.

Great location. Staff were a bit manic although they weren't busy. My food was good but my wife didn't enjoy hers so much.

Gutes Essen, aber lange Wartezeit. Achtung, Personal sagt auch, dass die Wartezeit länger ist, da das Essen stets absolut frisch zubereitet wird. Wer die entsprechende Zeit mitbringt wird mit einem guten Essen (zu einem zugegeben teureren Preis) bei guter Sicht auf das Wasser belohnt.

Staff friendly and welcomed us without a booking....unfortunately waited a while.for food which then was cold..had monkfish skewer and rice. Rice stodgy and cold skewer at best warm..taken of Bill which was good of them.

The place is nice but the food was disappointing. The sea soup was very salty + few amount of fish, the fish dish was good, the black paella was bad it literally made me vomit after arriving home, the waiters was pushy as they wanted us to leave as soon as possible. It was a terrible experience.

The restaurant has a nice setting and atmosphere. The main member of staff was quite unprofessional with the way he handled customers, bookings and taking orders. It would have also helped if he understood any english given most visitors were tourists from England. As such, it was difficult communicating and, combined with his impatience, he came off as slightly rude. The restaurant definitely has potential, but this needs to be sorted out as customers should feel welcome and not a burden.

Very expensive for what it was. Charged a lot for extras. Very expensive house wine which was poor quality. They didn't have the wine we requested but offered us another for twice the price. No prices given on desert menu so we didn't risk it. Staff unfriendy though service was quite quick.

Les plats n' étaient pas mauvais par contre nous avons attendu 1 heure pour être servis .. j'ai pris une salade qui était copieuse pour une entrée mais que je n'ai pas pu finir car il y avais plus de sauce que de salade Au final 25e par tête pour 1 plat et 1 soft par personne ce n'est pas hors de prix mais ce n'est pas exceptionnel

Was really looking forward to eating here on our first evening in Gibraltar and ended up leaving feeling absolutely shafted and dissapointed. We ordered a few starters, was told by the waiter that it'll be amazing and opted for the calamari. What arrived probably worst calamari I've ever eaten. Was literally rubber in batter. Couldn't even cut it bite through it as you'd expect. Even the pigeon I threw some to struggled. Now the main point of visiting here was for the paella and dear o dear what a mess that was. We were first told we couldn't share between 3 people. (don't see why not as we order the dish & can easily plate it up between 3. We did the same thing a few days later at another restaurant with no issues) What we received was never like any paella I've ever eaten. It was more like a soup. It was horrendous. But fine we carried on. Then came the bill. And gosh we paid over 70€ for that absolutely horrendous dish. We left feeling very ticked off and would not reccomend to anyone.

Despite only four tables having reserved signs on them, the disgustingly rude waiter told me that they were fully booked and rudely removed me from the restaurant. Note to any solo travellers: this restaurant only cares about seating large bookings, they do NOT care about individual diners whatsoever. Absolutely disgusting treatment, do not come here!

Enjoyed the view over the marina, but not the food. The Don Pepe steak with Iberico tasted like cantine food, which you wouldn't expect for 21 pounds. Dry and no distinct taste. The Iberico ham gave it some flavor, but not enough to justify the price.

My dining experience at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. From the moment we walked in, the waiter, Pedro, displayed a shocking level of rudeness. To make matters worse, when we attempted to order our food, he informed us that we would have to wait for a whole hour. As if that wasn't bad enough, the fish dish he eventually recommended took even longer than that to arrive at our table. Not only did we have to endure an excruciatingly long wait, but the quality of the food, particularly the fish, was abysmal. I strongly discourage anyone from visiting this restaurant, as my experience was nothing short of a disaster. Save yourself the trouble and dine elsewhere.

If you find a restaurant with 5 stars ratings of only local guides, be carful. Service was almost non-existent although we were the only customers at that point. We had to take cutlery from the next table und put our starter dishes there. No one took them until end of lunch as waiters were to busy to talk to each other.
