Best Mexican food in Gilroy, and I've tried a decent number of places here already. I'm also from San Diego, so my standards are high when it comes to mexican food. Their breakfast burritos are consistently great. We normally order to go, but this last time we decided to dine in, and it was the best decision. My partner got a chimichanga and I got the combo plate with a cheese enchilada and a carne asada tostada. The beans, rice, and meat were amazing. The service was very attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The food is fairly priced and the portions are HUGE. We spent a good 20 minutes talking about how good the food tasted as we were eating it. It's that good we are still talking about it.

This place is great. It’s family owned, the vibes are welcoming and friendly, and the food is delicious, huge portions, and cheap. You order at the counter and then find a table outside, and they’ll bring you out your food. They also start you off by bringing you some fresh chips and salsa, which had a good amount of kick to it but wasn’t overly spicy. My partner got the Chile Verde Fat Burrito and it was really great—loved the amount of variety you could get with burritos. It’s about the size of your face and so well priced for how much food it is. I got the Chico Platter Taco with Carne Asada and it was similarly delicious, and very filling. The beans on my plate were probably my favorite part. Never sleep on the beans. We also ordered the guacamole for 5$ and the portion was small admittedly, but that was FRESH guacamole and you could taste it. If you’re hankering for guac, I would recommend it. Good food, good prices, good people, definitely recommend!

I typically dine here whn I visit my mom. The enchiladas are amazing. I found the meat to be too chewy in the Chile Colorado. I do miss the salsa bar that was available pre-covid! The service is always great!!

Ordered regular beef Brito combo. Taste is ok and staff is very helpful. It’s not cozy restaurant but you can relax without stress. Good for lunch.

Great handmade tortillas. Aguas frescas are great and not overwhelmingly sweet. Dinner plates are for almost 2 people to share.

Had the sopes and breakfast burrito (chorizo con huevos). Food was good and portions were big. Has a small salsa bar and you get a bowl of chips. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would come back again.
