The Ivy in Glasgow offers a stylish and vibrant setting that makes for a memorable dining experience. Pros: • Beautiful setting: The interior is elegantly decorated with rich colors, statement lighting, and lush greenery—perfect for a relaxed meal or a special occasion. • Fast service: Staff were attentive and efficient, ensuring we were well looked after without feeling rushed. • Wide breakfast menu: There’s an impressive range of breakfast options to suit all tastes, from classic dishes to more contemporary choices. Cons: • Gets busy: The restaurant can get quite full, especially during peak hours, so booking ahead is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. Overall, The Ivy is a great spot for a stylish meal in the city. With its eye-catching decor and prompt service, it’s well worth a visit—just be sure to plan ahead.

Had an amazing dinner here on sat night, the place oozes in class, such amazing ambience, atmosphere and food. The staff were immaculate, very attentive and had the balance of seeing you were ok and leaving you alone. The food was fantastic, had full 3 courses and a cheese board as was literally that good! Cannot fault the food, service or venue in anyway. Yes was an expensive meal, but the experience of the overall surroundings, staff and food make it worth the money. A must visit restaurant. Great team there.

We flew into Glasgow for the day and headed straight to The Ivy for breakfast. It was pretty busy downstairs so we were relieved to be escorted upstairs to a quieter setting. The waiter was super attentive, made sure we had coffee and water, and promptly took our order. The food was scrumptious, as you can see in the photos. If I were to be super fussy I’d recommend runny eggs. Ours were a bit over cooked. But the whole experience was lovely. Relaxed and yet a bit fancy too for our special occasion. Great visit. Will certainly pop in next time we’re in Glasgow.

Lovely food 2 courses for £20.95 from a set menu. Great value but then when you add any supplements or extras and a couple of glasses of wine then it's a little pricey, ended up with a bill of £92.00 but it was a nice treat. Oh and ladies loo is magical✨

The Ivy on Buchanan Street is an absolute showstopper! The moment you step inside, you're transported to a world of glamour and sophistication. The decor is simply stunning—vibrant, art-deco inspired, and filled with beautiful details that make every corner feel special. It's the perfect setting for a celebratory meal or just a luxurious treat. The food is equally impressive, with a menu that offers a fantastic blend of classic dishes and modern twists. Every plate is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The service is top-notch; the staff are incredibly welcoming, attentive, and make you feel truly valued. From the creative cocktails to the delicious desserts, The Ivy provides a fantastic dining experience that is well worth it. It's an unforgettable spot in the heart of Glasgow's Style Mile.

What an expierence with all the colorful neaveau art all over the walls, exquisite bar great service. I had the Sheppards pie which i have been looking for the whole trip. And scallops as a starter. The creme Brule had to be one of the best I have had in a long time.

Absolutely lovely. As I solo dinner I was made to feel welcome. Food was excellent and the service was fabulous. Just don’t sit by the door. Every time the door opens it gets really cold.

Impromptu breakfast turned into a lovely experience! Popped in last minute for breakfast with a friend and were warmly welcomed by the staff, even without a booking. We both had the veggie breakfast (delicious!) and shared the Greek yoghurt pancakes - absolutely worth it. The pop-up florals were such a unique and beautiful touch – I haven’t seen that at other branches before. Staff were attentive throughout, the decor was stunning, and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing restaurant and the service was exceptional. Our hostess accommodated us even though we had missed our original reservation by an hour. (Story for another day, blame it on graduation pictures.) We sat at the bar upstairs and Ben, our server/bartender & wait team, gave us such exceptional service that we shall definitely be back when we visit Glasgow. The drinks were perfectly crafted just for us, catering to our unique taste. As for the food, the flavours of the dishes we ordered were all spectacular. The seasoning was so on point. They crowned the graduation lunch with a surprise cake and the dessert sorbet was delicious.

Went for a suprise 60th breakfast and the Ivy was a fantastic experience. Met at the door by attentive staff and the plush decor really added to the occasion. The Wee birthday cake was a lovely touch. Very enjoyable breakfast Birthday Party.

Speechless after the full Scottish breakfast — and the haggis deserves its own fan club. Best I’ve ever had. Service? Spot on

Brilliant art deco interior! Good food but pasta is just okay. Love the service staff. Friendly and attentive.

Awesome service and the food is really interesting from the menu perspective. Many different things that they offer from local dishes to more Asian and European inspired. Also for the level of service I think pricing is reasonable. It’s a restaurant for which I will travel back to Glasgow anytime!

An impressive impromptu visit to The Ivy last night … the lovely guy at the door gave us a table without a booking after we struggled to find a table anywhere in Glasgow on a Friday night! The food was excellent, came out quickly & fantastic service from all the staff. I had the scallops & smoked haddock & salmon fish cake, my fiancé had the cured smoked salmon & beef burger. We have been to The Ivy a few times since it opened in Glasgow & it has always been a great experience. Even sitting at the bar for drinks & nibbles is lovely. The place has a great atmosphere & the interior is gorgeous. It is quite pricey but definitely worth it.

My friends hired the private dining room for a wedding dinner for 20 people, from the beginning everything was perfect, the service was excellent and the food was delicious! Literally no complaints whatsoever!! I’ve also been here for brunch and had the same experience, they seem to always be on their A game!

Third time visiting The Ivy, first time in Glasgow, and again, it was fabulous! Really enjoyed the food and just had a lovely time. We settled on a three course meal, and enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you to the staff for surprising us with a little pudding for our anniversary; it was very thoughtful! (Of course, my fiancée had put a note in the booking about it, but it was still a surprise to her!)

Great experience at this restaurant. I went there with friends at first then with customers in a private room. The food is absolutely amazing no matter what you order. The waiters are very attentive and professional and the atmosphere is just lovely. Checking out the bathroom is a must as it goes with the whole theme of the place.

The Ivy in Glasgow was nice. As you'd expect. The food and service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. There are way too many menus to choose from frankly, which is a minor gripe, but you do spend a bit too much time choosing across 4 menus, given that I'd already booked on the taste of autumn menu when I booked for my wife's birthday. The staff brought my wife a birthday dessert which was a nice touch. The restaurant is right on the main Buchanan street and easy to find. There are lots of bars to get a cocktail afterwards too if you wish. Service is included in the bill, it is quite expensive but I would definitely recommend it. I couldn't actually find a bottle of wine on any of the menus and wine seemed to be only served by the glass. Might be wrong but I don't think so. Great place.

Great atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming staff made our brunch a ten star experience. That’s the experience I feel the royalty only has access to! The food was great and my only little pick will be the quality of the coffee beans. A place like this should have the best beans with complex flavours. What I tasted was very subpar unfortunately! Hopefully they will improve by my next visit.

Amazing food, great service and a beautiful restaurant. We didn't have a reservation and we were lucky to get a table. I had the haggis bon bons with whiskey sauce and the shepherd's pie with almond green beans. Absolutely delicious. Washed down with an ivy lager.

Went for a Sunday lunch the other week. We arrived over half an hour early and they found us a seat at the bar while we waited. Had a cocktail, roast chicken, and pistachio and raspberry sorbet. Hubby had roast beef and tiramisu. All was lovely as usual. Service was impeccable too.

We hosted our wedding reception in the Morgan Room on the 19th of December. The experience was absolutely first class and the staff were so personable and a credit to the ivy. The service and hospitality from the moment we arrived was fantastic. The Morgan room was just stunning and set so perfectly and we were so lucky to enjoy our reception in this room. Thank you to the Ivy team for making our day so special. The two staff members who looked after us in the Morgan room were just brilliant and we are so grateful to everyone in the Ivy team. Thank you The Russell’s

Busy Saturday Lunchtime. I was alone and dined at the bar. The service was timely and courteous. They checked on me and the quality of my meal. Asked me if I enjoyed my adult beverage a Dirty Martini. Everything was excellent Nick & Emelia behind the bar. Very friendly from start to finish. The hostess also very pleasant upon entering.

Fantastic lunch for three people. Great service, excellent food and vibrant atmosphere. The waitress gave us some cake for free as it was International Kindness Day. Brilliant experience. Will definitely be back.

Great evening here with wife and child Service was fantastic. From being seated, given a vase for the flowers, to the interactions up until we left. I didn't get the name of our servers but they were fantastic. Professional but at the same time we're very chilled. Food was lovely but the service is what made this a great evening.

Got to admit I was surprised on my visit to the ivy last Monday. Pleasantly. Food was lovely, tasty and well presented and plenty for a lunch. We ordered from the set menu at £22 for 3 courses. Excellent value in my opinion. The service was fantastic although our server changed during the meal I have only compliments for how that was handled, and both were adept at keeping things flowing. A surprise birthday cake appeared which delighted my wife despite it not being her birthday for a couple of days. Would I go back? Definitely! Would I recommend a visit? Definitely! Well done The Ivy. At least 2 delighted customers.

Fancy… Tasty… Quite… Comfy.. I think this best fits the description of the Ivy .. Located in Buchanan Street it is a wonderful place for breakfast. I would highly recommended… My kids are fussy eaters and (surprisingly) they enjoyed it as well..

Great restaurant right in the middle of Buchanan street. Somewhat posh atmosphere and upscale vibe; service was spot on. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Perhaps missing a "wow factor" on my particular dining choices but not a major flaw. I had a great night here.

Nice restaurant. They managed to acommodate 10 of us with no booking which was great. Food was ok but nothing special to be honest.

Customer service was phenomenal. Ryan was awesome and made sure I had a great dining experience. Ordered the Sunday Roast with lamb. It was tasty, and flavorful. Not out of this world, but it was filling and I enjoyed the meal. Atmosphere was good. No loud music or crowds and music was appropriate.

The food is good, the service is good. The place is noisy. I personally had to wait 20 minutes for my table even though I had a resrrvation. There's a discretionary 12.5% service fee.

+ Nice atmosphere and decor. + Fantastic attentive service. + Food was very good. - Food portions are small. - Corner seating for 2 at 90° was uncomfortable, slightly cramped leg space and restricted space on table. - 12.5% service charged added to bill.

Went in for lunch, beautiful place quick service, but they forgot my husbands peppercorn sauce, I spoke to someone, they offered to get it but he had nearly finished Expensive for what you get. Decor lovely and unusual.

The Ivy has really nice relaxing decor, creating an ambient vibe. Staff were also very nice and friendly. Couple of minus points, the food whilst very good was lukewarm, you can generally tell when the plates aren't hot. Also it was a birthday celebration and was asked when booking if it was a special occasion, Said re birthday and girl said I'll put a note on to that effect. However nothing mentioned on arrival or during meal.?? Still a nice experience though and some great menu deals.

Lovely atmosphere especially upstairs. Drinks were great, although they forgot a second order for 1 of our guests who then had to wait a further 10/15 mins for their drink. Everything we ordered came out super fast, but there was a few things that never came out, after reminding the waiter (some starters bread / almonds etc) The food was delicious, and the toilets were clean. The only thing is they said they would bring out a desert for a guest who was celebrating a birthday, we reminded them twice and it never came out- just got the bill and left.

I enjoyed the atmosphere — stylish and welcoming. The food was okay. liked the cappuccino. The service, though, was excellent and made the experience more enjoyable.

The atmosphere was generally great; however, the music didn't match the restaurant's style, and the volume was quite loud for a breakfast setting around 9:00. The servers were attentive and did their best, but the service overall was average. Unfortunately, the food was far below expectations. The bread was burnt and hard, and the meal as a whole wasn't enjoyable. I just wanted to finish it quickly. The coffee, though, was good.

Usually great but this time the food was not hot at all, the bread was rock hard, and we had to ask a couple times for things that were forgotten. A disappointing visit.

Me and my partner thought we would try here last week for date night. Initially on first impression we thought it looked lovely inside and wer seated straight away. We wer sat on a tiny table very close to other people which i always hate as you can hear everything each other are speaking about and is just generally quite uncomfortable. We ordered drinks and as i was driving mine was non alcoholic so i ordered a lemonade which was £5.50 for a small glass of pretty tastless lemonade which i was quite dissapointed about. I ordered the 8oz filet steak which was incredible tasting but came with absolutely nothing except the steak itself which for £36 is pretty steep to be honest. The desserts i would give a 1/5 and i tried mine and my partners. Overall the only good part was the steak and the total bill came to £156 and we never even had starters. Overpriced in my opinion.

I fail to understand, why any customer of the Ivy Glasgow, would award 4 and 5 star reviews, they obviously haven’t experienced quality dining. The food which was presented to us resembled “Pub Grub” which to say the least was mediocre! One of my guests, who is a slightly fussy eater and as such would normally order fish and chips, as the restaurants usually able to prepare and present that dish easily, however I would suspect “Captain Birdseye” had his hand in the preparation of the dish presented to our table on this occasion which cost £19.95 🤢 The red wine we ordered, resembled that of our local supermarket costing £7.50, however our bottle had a price tag of £39.95 with an alcohol volume of 11% and tasted similar to pomegranate juice ! I noted from my receipt that, a bottle of still water, had an inflated price tag of £4.50 and the bottle arrive at the table opened, could this water be Scottish water, straight from the tap ? 🤔 To crown our evening, we were charged 10% service charge (£30.00) for the privilege of this very average dinning experience. My advice to any potential customer, would be shop around, as there’s plenty of choice within this area, who offer equal quality of food and are much less expensive !

I ordered the Scottish breakfast. Not anything exciting and portion was minimal ,the black pudding was tasteless! This is Scotland, the home of black pudding!. My shock however was when I got to the till. £23.95! When I questioned why it was so expensive, the waitress said there was an "optional" service charge of £3.95 If this is optional, it should be in bold print on the menu. I asked that it be taken off my bill. Absolute rip off!

Had lunch here to celebrate my friend’s birthday, the decor was lovely, food was lovely. First time I’ve dined in The Ivy Glasgow. Usually I go to the one in Edinburgh. The service was average, nothing special. Not much enthusiasm or interaction from the maître d’ or our waiter. That’s fine, they were busy. They brought my friend a choux bun with a candle in for her birthday. Nice touch. We had our dessert and asked for a coffee and a tea, to have alongside the choux bun. When we were drinking these, the maître d’ came over and advised, very matter of factly that we were over the allotted time, that they had people waiting to be seated, and they needed our table. I asked for the bill, which was brought promptly. I was going to give tip, on top of the £15.75 service charge, however decided not to as I felt a bit rushed and undervalued. I am very aware that you have a limited time for your booking. And yes we did go over that time a bit. We asked to sit somewhere else, as my friend hadn’t finished her tea. He advised we could sit at the bar, and then promptly lifted my friends cup and placed on the bar. We sat chatting for about 10-15 mins, then decided to go to the bathroom., before getting our coats. We passed the table we had been sitting at, it was empty.! So much for the ‘we need your table’ I was born in Glasgow, I now live in the UAE. For the first time ever I said to my friend, that I actually preferred the Ivy in Edinburgh. Won’t be returning to this restaurant as this experience took the shine off our lunch.

Food was average, aubergines salad and rice was far to oily literally almost got an heart attack. Staff quite rude to customers. Coffee test like meat skinny zucchini was awful undercooked and the first test that gets you is the oil. Also was super hot sat by the door to get some fresh air ended up being stone baked had to stand by the door to get some fresh air.

We booked a table for three adults and one child, and I will say we received a warm welcome on arrival. The staff were attentive throughout, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food itself was quite disappointing. We chose the set menu, and three of us ordered the chicken dish. What we imagined from the description and what actually arrived were two very different things. The chicken came as a large breaded piece - mine was very pale while the other two were noticeably darker. The overall taste was just “okay,” but the dish itself felt underwhelming: chicken, a fried egg, a small handful of salad leaves, and a sauce. We were asked if we wanted sides, so we added chips, but again, nothing special. It honestly felt like something any of us could have made at home. For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée, and it was the worst we’ve ever had - I’m being serious. We’re a foodie family, which is exactly why we thought The Ivy would be a special treat, especially as my mum is visiting from Germany. Unfortunately, it turned into quite a letdown. The kids’ main was good, but the dessert was overwhelmingly sweet. And then the bill… The set menu is £27.50, but adding chips for £6.25 really adds up, and for the quality of the food, it didn’t feel worth it. We wouldn’t mind paying more for great food, but sadly this wasn’t the case. Overall, despite good service, the meal was not up to the standard we expected, and we won’t be returning to The Ivy.
