What an amazing place. Courteous staff and wonderfully run by PJ! Thank you for recommending the salmon to a steak guy ! It’s probably the most delicious salmon. I’ve been served in a restaurant in 15 years in LA! The bar area is wonderful and fun and the restaurant seating is just beautiful in atmospheric. Highly recommended!

Visited Bourbon Steakhouse in Glendale, CA the day after Valentine’s Day to avoid the rush, though you could still feel the after-effects. Our experience was fantastic! Service was spectacular as always, the vibe was great, drinks were on point, and the food was excellent. The only small downside was that most of their steaks had sold out due to Valentine’s Day, so we went with the Australian Wagyu cowboy steak, paired with Brussels sprouts and mushrooms. It was amazing! Appetizers were great too, the octopus is a must, and their Caesar salad is perfectly dressed, not overloaded with dressing. Drinks were solid: I had a bourbon, my brother-in-law had an Old Fashioned with a really cool presentation, and the ladies enjoyed the Lemon Drop and Frequent Flyer. A bit pricier than I’d expect, but still a very solid choice if you’re looking for a great dining experience in Glendale. Highly recommend!

We had an outstanding experience at Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina. The staff went above and beyond by arranging a private room to celebrate my father-in-law’s birthday, making the evening truly special. The service was exceptional — attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. The food was phenomenal — every dish was cooked to perfection, and the Tomahawk steaks were a highlight: tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The wine and beer selection complemented the meal perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or fine-dining experience. They made our celebration unforgettable. Don't forget to make reservations ahead of time 😉

Amazing meal - 20/10. World class service and every item from drink to main course was so intentional. Major kudos to the chef, we will be back for every celebration in the future. We were celebrating my engagement and this was the perfect atmosphere. Highly recommend the barramundi, waygu bolognese, shrimp cocktail and oysters (not pictured).

The food was phenomenal — from the 48oz tomahawk, lamb shank to the truffle mac and cheesecake, every bite was flawless. Our server, Omar, was amazing and made the night truly memorable. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

It's my second time visit. Ha ha, after a few years, they still have my record. We tried the bone marrow with garlic toast, great combination! Love it! Australia Wagyu in medium rare, the meat tender and moist. The Kagoshima Wagyu which is not in the menu. Good to try but too much fat for me 😘 The service was friendly and sincere. Really deserve your big tips. 😉

Went in for a casual dinner, left with a wonderful experience! Our server Stewart was fantastic. He was so attentive and detailed, we enjoyed every moment. The food was delicious, everything came out excellent, our steak was cooked to perfection. Their pasta dishes were phenomenal (we inhaled those quick so didn’t get a picture). The ambiance and decor of the restaurant was great as well. I highly suggest making a reservation. Parking was easiest at the Americana parking garage and then we just walked to the restaurant. They validate.

This is perhaps the best steakhouse I've ever been to in the San Fernando Valley. From the moment we walked in, the service was Supreme. Per usual, be prepared for the servers to recommend specials that are not for the budget conscious. The cocktails are top tier, and the bar also stocks quality house liquors. The food is served in sharable portions and can easily be split amongst 4 adults. The chefs did an excellent job delivering a well seasoned, fork-tender steak crusted with a hard sear. If you are not a fan of Feta Cheese, skip the creamed spinach. Also, for those with nut allergies, be prepared for limited side choices. The corkage fee is slightly higher than other steakhouses at $50, but totally worth it if you don't plan to order from their cocktail or wine menu. They do have a deal that if you buy one of their bottles, they will open yours for free. Overall, this is a great place tucked away from the hustle of L.A. City to take in a premium steakhouse experience.

Went for my mother in laws and my birthday celebration. We had an amazing experience starting with the drinks at the bar. I had the bartender make his recommendation, and he made me a delicious spicy mezcal. It is truly a work of art. Rhe seafood and steaks were all delicious. Appetizers, wagyu steaks, desserts, drinks...all were more than we expected. The sister restaurant in Waikiki is excellent as well. Strip Steak, they have a better view, but food is excellent as well. They also have an amazing bartender, Marcos, who makes you feel like family.

My husband and I stopped by today after shopping at the Americana for a nice steak dinner. Our waiter was David. David provided us with excellent service! He suggested a very good red wine to pair with our steak. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our night. We ended our meal with the strawberry cheesecake. Let me add that this cheesecake was the best dessert I’ve ever had. We will be back soon

My second favorite restaurant 😍... do not even know where to start... 10/10 service with EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA HIGH-QUALITY SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSONNEL with extreme care and attention. Everything and everyone is to make you feel special. Carefully crafted QUALITY food... been there for 5 times already and never had anything that tasted even a bit off! Bravo! Steaks, salads, wines, champagnes, the desert... OMG! SO so so good! The chef is a real magician there. And one of the most important thing is that they are very quick in everything, so no wait time - very natural and logical wait time they have. Highly recommended 👌

We recently celebrated my daughter's graduation at Bourbon Steak, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was superb, with each dish expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and ensuring our evening was memorable. I highly recommend Bourbon Steak for any special occasion or simply for a delightful dining experience.

Amazing food and even better service. Bourbon Steak continues to be one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. We loved everything from this place from its food to the service. Definitely on the higher price point but worth every bit. Food was flavorful, cooked perfectly and the waiter even recommended us good sides that paired perfectly with their tomahawk. My wife and I will be making this restaurant a regular for us going forward. 100% recommended.

The menu felt extremely overpriced, with very few reasonable options for a pre-movie meal. Nearly everything was over the top in both price and presentation, and we didn’t feel there were many accessible choices. That said, this is a personal perspective shaped by dining at restaurants across many price points. We ordered a small selection to keep things light: cream of spinach, mac and cheese, ahi tartare, Caesar salad, two truffle breads, and an 8 oz filet mignon. Our server’s explanation of the menu was helpful overall. We initially considered the 10 oz American/Wagyu, which is priced the same as the filet, but after recommending it, the server immediately added, “to be honest, it’s the worst on the menu.” I appreciate honesty as a consumer—but not when both options are $75. My wife is from Brazil, where steak culture is taken seriously. While the filet was fine, it lacked any real “wow” factor. For $75, I’d expect a cut that clearly surpasses what I can cook at home—especially living in Downtown Glendale, where there are dozens of excellent steak options. As a first-time visit, I’ll say the steak was okay, regardless of how my wife felt. We were told the sides were small enough to share, which aligned with our goal of a lighter meal before a movie. Given the prices, we limited meat selections and opted to try other dishes. The ahi tartare was highly anticipated since seafood and Asian/fusion flavors are favorites in our household. Unfortunately, the flavor didn’t land for us—it was smoky with a hint of spice, but not in a way we enjoyed. We regretted not ordering the duck appetizer instead. The Caesar salad was excellent, though I was warned to remove the anchovies. I appreciated the heads-up, but if many guests don’t eat them, it seems odd not to list them as an optional add-on—especially at that price point. We’d gladly pay less for the choice. The bread was outstanding—easily the highlight for my wife—along with the mac and cheese. The breadcrumbs used throughout (on the salad, mac, and spinach) made a strong impression and paired particularly well with the salad. The live band was my favorite part of the evening. As a touring musician for ten years, I can say the atmosphere noticeably shifted once they stopped playing. Dining with live music added tremendous appeal, and it’s a key part of the experience. The space itself was well-lit, beautifully designed, and we loved the half-round booth. Although we didn’t drink, the bar menu stood out with a wide range of options at varying price points and would absolutely bring me back on its own. We were also given complimentary French fries with three sauces, which was a kind gesture, though it left us wondering whether it was on the menu at all. It momentarily felt like an odd signal, but I’ll take it at face value as generosity rather than anything else. Overall, this was meant to be a quick, elevated meal for two. I would recommend the restaurant—with disclaimers, much like it was recommended to me. I’m still surprised by how few options were under $75 and how many exceeded $100, but the restaurant was fairly full, so clearly there’s an audience. Good for you.

Matt guided us through an amazing dinner experience. His knowledge of the wines and the foods really helped us make the right decisions. We stumbled across this place because they have an excellent happy hour and the food really really impressed us so we decided to have dinner with them. We’re so glad we did. We’re definitely coming back. The steaks were unreal. Cooked to perfection. I ordered mine medium rare and it was absolutely perfect. The center was red and the outside was perfectly charred. We’re so happy. Thanks Matt!

We ate here while in town to celebrate our anniversary and it was pretty good. My wife had the pork chops and I had the filet. We shared a side of their Mac and cheese which was good. They gave us a complimentary dessert and champagne as well. The service was fantastic. I couldn’t give 5 stars because I’ve been to steak houses that were better and more reasonable on prices.

We came here for 3 things. (1) Michael Mina's signature Tuna Tartare, (2) steak, and (3) fish. I've been going to Michael Mina's in Las Vegas at the Bellagio for years. So we came with high expectations. Sadly, it was 0-for-3 when it came to expectations. Tuna tartare was not nearly as fresh and under seasoned. Steak was ok, just ok. Fish was not ok, way too many bones still left in the Branzino. Overall still a good experience, but not a great one. One bright side was the kids pasta. That was one of the best pastas I've had in a while.

Expected better for these prices tbh. Ordered the 10oz wagyu flat iron which was underwhelming..the 8oz filet mignon was just ok..they weren’t tender and lacked flavor. My Dad who ordered the 16oz ribeye (not wagyu) said it was fantastic. The brussel sprouts were delicious as a side..and the fries were pretty good. My dad also said the caesar salad was very good.

Last weekend I went to Bourbon Steak to celebrate my sister’s business accomplishment while visiting California. The restaurant was located in the Americana at Brand in Glendale. There is a large parking deck and the restaurant validates parking for some amount of time. We still paid $15 when we left so I’m not sure for what period of time they validate. There were four people in my party. We were greeted by two friendly hostesses and immediately sat in the lux dining room. Our server was also very pleasant. We decided to eat family style. We ordered 2 Delmonico Ribeyes (one with smoked blue cheese), caesar salad, the sauce trio, potato puree, truffle mac and cheese, and the broccoli. Wins: - The meal started with the complimentary fries. I personally did not like them because they are not served hot, but the rest of the party enjoyed them and the three dipping sauces. - The salad was well dressed and was enough for three of us to share. - We also enjoyed the wine, coffee, and dessert. They had a nice variety of after dinner drinks. - Overall, the wait staff was attentive and friendly. - The ambiance is beautiful with soft lighting and comfortable seating. Cons: - It took our entrees and sides forever to come out. We ordered at 7:35 and it was at least an hour before our entrees were served. - When we ordered they asked if we wanted our steaks sliced, we said no… both came sliced anyway. - The steaks were not cooked to the requested temperatures and were warm, not hot. - All of our sides were cold. Not warm, COLD! - The manager was rude and condescending. When she came to our table she stated, “I’m sorry your food was not as hot as you would like it.” No, they were cold and definitely should have never been brought out of the kitchen. The serving dishes were not even warm. This was unacceptable especially for the level of service and quality you expect when dining here. Additionally, she never came back out to ask how we liked everything that was re-prepared. Our steaks were warmed and new sides were brought out, but the food issues completely ruined what should have been a celebration. By the time everything came back out we were tired and ready to go. I would not recommend this steakhouse. Considering our check was over $400, the food quality should have been superior, but missed the mark. Additionally, we did not receive the level of service expected from management. Save your money and try another steakhouse. This is not a steakhouse I would go to again or recommend.

The price to taste equation here is very broken. Drinks are great but incredibly overpriced. Meats and sides are so overly salted and oiled, they’re hard to enjoy. Service was good but the environment feels stuffy and uptight.

I wish I can rate a zero star for this experience. We booked bourbon steak for the family thanksgiving dinner, because my father and I went few weeks ago to have some steak and was delicious. But after the experience tonight I would not recommend this place anymore to anyone until they change management. The food and waitress/sommeliar service were decent, which is as expected in a Michael Mina restaurant. This is why the service still gets 1 star. However, the management, especially the two lady managers in the front, were horrendous. They do not care about the business or the customers. We originally have a reservation at 7PM for our Thanksigivng dinner on the Thanksigiving day. This was a fully prepaid experience on Thanksgiving. We arrived at 7PM sharp, and were told there were no available table yet, but something should be available shortly. We thought that is okay, let's wait for a little bit. 20 minutes later, still nothing, and during this 20 minutes literally no one checked in on us, not the front desk, not the managers, they just left us there standing and waiting. We were being patient, but is this a good reason to just ignore us? or is it because we are a group of Asian, so it is okay to do so, because asians are more polite and patient, so why not take advantage? I will let you decide on this. At 7:20PM we finally began to question what is going on? The front desk kept on saying we will check for you, but really nothing happend, and they again ignored us. At 7:30PM, we asked to speak to the manager, this was the first moment the manger showed up, and the answer was "although we asked the earlier party to stick to a 2 hour dining limit, no one is respecting it." So again we ask you to wait. 7:40PM same answer, finally 7:50PM, 1 table becomes available and they finally seated us. I understand overbooking sometimes can be an issue, it can happen to the best of the restaurants. It is the way how they handle the issue after making customer waited for 50 minutes after full pre-payment, is simply unacceptable. Managers did not care at all, during this 50 minute period, neither of the manager bothered to show up to even check in on us. They hide behind the front desk staff, and only after we asked for the manager 30 minutes after the original time, they came but clearly did not give a crap, offered no solution, and just let us sit and wait. So are the table before us more valuable customer? and we simply just deserve to wait? on a pre-paid dinner? So many questions, which I doubt they care to understand and find out. After we were seated. They sent some cheap prosecco pretending to be champagne and said this is our apology, on the house. Funny how one waiter said prosecco, and the other quickly changed to oh its champagne, as if it matters at that point. What an absolute joke of service this is. Who cares even if this is a bottle of Dom P2, at this point, we waited 50 minutes on a pre-paid dinner experience. Where is the manager? Be a leader of your team, show up when things become tough and offer a formal apology and make up the already ruined experience by giving some extra attention and care during the service to somehow lightening up the mood of your guests. Nobody cares of some cheap prosecco or champagne. But they again hide behind the waiters and waitresss and sommeliar. Just hide, and pretend this didn't happen. An absolutely disrespectful act, classless. If I own this business, I would fire these managers tomorrow and put someone else who actually cares about the business and customer in charge. A thanksgiving experience to completely forget.
