I always have a great time when I go to El Pollo Loco. With a variety of sides, there's always something for everyone, and the chicken is always cooked to perfection.

This place had some growing pains for a while. But the staff they’ve got there now are top notch. Will the manager is kind, courteous, and accommodating. And the rest of the staff are hard working accurate and quick. I couldn’t ask for better service. Thank you all!

I was worried to eat here since some of the reviews were 1 star and pretty negative. But I went there around noon for lunch with a few family members and the food was great. The place was clean and the service was good.

Today's my first time trying El Pollo Loco and the experience was actually very positive! We ordered the double chicken bowl and it's so good, with a large portion of moist chicken meat and the tasty fresh cilantro sauce. Overall, to me it's a great combination of flavors for a lean healthy diet :) The staff was very nice, especially the young manager who greeted us and eagerly gave out vouchers. Big approval for their efforts to upgrade the service since the food quality here is already superior to other Pollo chains!!

This place is way better then the pollo loco in San fernando rd and fletchers that place look dirty nasty this pollo on Glendale is nice clean and tasty 👍

I have no idea what happened to this place but lately the service has been GREAT! In the past the staff was rude and unprofessional but for the last 6 months I've gotten great service from here! They are really thorough at the drive thru speaker and at the window they are really curious and quick. Definitely a nice change at this restaurant!

The employees at Pollo Loco are friendly. The food, which is mainly chicken and side dishes, such as beans, mashed potatoes, Cole slaw, cheese macaroni, tortillas, ect. The Churros are quite tasty and the sauces such as Pico de Gallo and a green sauce are delicious. My favorite order is the Avocado chicken burrito, with prices being okay.

Got two double chicken bowls (different varieties) and both were excellent. Chicken breast perfectly seasoned and good quality. Bowl was large and fully loaded with chicken lettuce, salsa, corn, avocado and other stuff. Chicken tortilla soup very good as well. Healthy fast food for sure. We don't have el Pollo loco in Hawaii so we always stop here when visiting LA.

Im coming 2nd time in this location and this guy name is Carlos always helping me like his own restaurant. I hope one day he gone have his own restaurant or be a manager. It’s not lots of places you can get service like he give to me.

Despite a few issues at this location they have a great $5 menu. Parking is lousy but that's because they 're busy. They were a lousy location a few years ago but they've gotten it together lately. I love that Mexi Caesar Bowl!

It's an el pollo Loco. OK location. The drive through is a bit of a logistical nightmare because of the cramped layout. Like all pollos the staff is more Chick-fil-A than McDonald's, if you know what I mean. It's a compliment. The food is always ok.

Sometimes, when I go after 9pm they don't have any more tropical iced tea. Other than that, it's my go to place for quick drive through dinner or lunch. I save a bunch with their new app anc coupons.

Ordered a delivery through their website. When I called the morning of to give more specifics on where my party was in the venue they said they did not have the order! Luckily I called 2 hours prior to the needed delivery time and it was handled well after that. Food was good, everyone enjoyed it

Everything was very good, except the Mac and cheese . It tasted like it was just melted cheese and chewed pasta. And the bag of chips provided, seemed like they ran out . It was like less than 10 chips.

I love El Pollo Loco but my avocados were mushy. I think the bought product should look EXACTLY as the advertisement photo.

The burrito I got today was good. Taste like I remembered, I haven't had it for a while because I was eating other things on the menu. I got it with a drink and it came with chips. The Coke was fine, normal taste for a fountain drink. The chips didn't taste that great. Kind of oily and burnt. The avocado salsa tasted a little sour and was not spicy at all. Usually there is some spice to the salsa. Hopefully it wasn't bad, since it did have a little sour taste.

It was so yummy it didn’t even taste like pollo loco 😂 the best and only good pollo loco I’ve been to. 4 stars because they forgot the sauces and one of my items I ordered…oh well at least what I received was tasty

We recently dined at Pollo Loco and found the overall experience to be quite satisfactory. The facility was clean, the food was great, and the prices were reasonable for the quality provided. While the staff were attentive and efficient, we noted that they did not return greetings, which was a minor shortfall in an otherwise friendly service. The bathrooms, however, were not as clean as we had hoped, and there was ample parking available. Overall, we believe Pollo Loco delivers excellent meals at a good value in a clean environment, making it a worthwhile choice for a quick meal.

I like el pollo loco. Yesterday, I wanted to purchase a meal, 2 piece but didn't need the drink, for that matter want. I asked the manager on duty, if I may dine in, and bring my soda to drink with my meal. He said NO. I then got it to go! After all, I was spending a little less than $20 for dinner. Hardly any service to speak of since Pollo Loco is eliminating humans in favor of computer banks which has slowed service to a crawl because of customers like me who are slowed by having to analyze the hell out of the computer screen and by doing that you miss out on things on the menu that are priced more favorably to the older customers but hey who gives a damn about us, especially when you don't have to pay computers benefits or overtime.

The drive thru wait is ridiculous. The service is decent but it definitely could be better considering the amount of wait. The food is okay considering it's fast food.

At the time of my visit , there was good all over the dining room floor, all the tables were disgustingly dirty, the trash can was overflowing with trash and there were flies all over the place. They need to make an effort to keep this place clean and presentable for people to eat.

My wife and I went through the drive-thru she ordered tortilla soup and I ordered a BRC. My BRC was good. Her tortilla soup was way too hot and way too salty so one good one bad.

El pollo loco has gotten very expensive when it comes to the options they have. I would honestly rather eat Mediterranean food for the price I'm paying for the quality of food offered here. The customer service has gone downhill.

Not the cleanest location. I saw there were napkins on the floors and sauces smeared on the door handles and counter tops. But the customer service is great Parking isn’t ideal either but if you make a few loops you will find something. I ordered he Double Chicken Protein Bowl Salad. It didn’t take long for it to be ready and it was delicious. It has avocado, chicken, spinach, black beans, corn and home made salsa. It was truly delicious. I added some more home made salsa from their counter of sauces and some avocado sauce as well. It made it even more delicious! You can also ask for a cup of water and have your drink (healthy version). Gotta have your H2O!

I dont know if this is a "thing" with other Pollo Locos but it's been several times that I've been told that they ran out of chicken.. A place that sells chicken runs out of chicken, yup.. I also have an issue with their chicken tortilla soup. It's a hit-and-miss. I've had really tasty soups and also terribly gross soups with mainly chicken SKIN floating around 🤮. The pozole soup is good if they have it. So far I've only been able to have it once because, yes, they ran out. Overall, the chicken is palatable. I just hoped that there was more consistency in the food quality.

Had an interesting experience here today after so many years since my last visit. I did not receive the best service by the kids working the front counter. I had to ask them if they were gonna take my order because i felt ignored as soon as i walked in. I specifically ordered 2 breasts instead of 2 thighs on my family meal which we didn't get. Aside from the bad service the food itself was hot and delicious . They actually were pretty fast as well. Maybe some extra training with the people that represent your brand might go a long way at making your guests feel welcome and not an imposition.

The bowl was not filled halfway, not having much ingredients as they formally have in the past. I used to be a regular. Often forget to put ranch or creamy cilantro in bag along with a food order. If you notice before taking off the ladies that work there tend to be upset about it. I am polite when asking for something but several employees tend to be always be in a horrible mood.

3 stars due to avocado bacon salad only containing half a slice of crumbled bacon. It's actually pretty sad. To El Pollo Loco management, let's try and be more generous with the bacon. The rest is pretty OK. Most staff members do not speak English, but the salsa bar is pretty full.

I hate coming here because the customer service is so bad and most of the workers here a rude but there is one employee who definitely deserves some recognition her name is Theresa. She is literally the only person who has the best attitude and doesn't give you any hard time about ordering any kind of extra Salsa. Her attitude is just so awesome and welcoming and I wish most places had people like her. She's the only reason why I keep coming back to this location if she wasn't there I wouldn't go.

Even though chicken shrimp salad was good service was awful. For some ungodly reason the cashier got my friends order wrong. We both speak English and verified order but still got it wrong. Do yourself a favor and before leaving this particular Pollo Loco check your order.

I made a comment to the lady cleaning the place. I saw her cleaning the trash area and then she used the same rag to clean the area where the salsa and other items are. That is food. She should not use the same rag for cleaning the trash and salsa area. Please pollo loco teach your employees how to take care of the cleanliness of your restaurant.

I love El Pollo Loco chicken. But this location is the pits. I took off three stars because: I've been coming here for years and they consistently are out of product and screw up your order. Also long wait times! Yesterday they were out of flour tortillas, salsa, and veggie. Before, they are out of dark meat. One time....they were even out of CHICKEN. Then it's screwing up the order. I order flour tortilla, they give corn. I order dark meat, they give breast. I order 3 pieces, I get 2. I order churros, I get none. Sometimes I order a burrito, and there is only a fork full of chicken inside. Yesterday I waited 20 minutes in the drive thru line only to be advised of their missing items. Ugh.

Picked up 3 big family meals today. Chicken, Mac n Cheese , Rice, Beans, Tortillas, Salads. Service and food always pretty good. They gave us a bunch of cilantro dressing green and red salsa. The beans were half juice minimum beans. Maybe ran short

Actual food is ok, when it’s accurate. Beverages, stay away from.. unless you like overly carbonated water with a splash of flavor, of which doesn’t even resemble what you order. We had Diet Coke this time, one sip and had to spit. Tasted like an unclean machine; a moldy flavor, and was sewage brown in color (photo included). Employee at the drive thru was very rude and argued what we ordered. We had a mobile order, so it’s pretty cut and dry.. he argued we had a single tostada, when we actually had multiple combos(smh). Perhaps try a different location, because this one seems like a health hazard with the beverages.

I drive for doordash on the side and the system here is inadequate. They refuse to make the order even though I show them that I've received an order for this location on my phone. The management is absurd here and they do not respect our time I will not be taking orders from this location in the future. The other el pollo locos are fine and all them are solid and on point if I show them the order they make it

I used to love to come to this pollo loco all the time. Now for the last year or so ive come in and they have never once had my usually meal. Crunchy Tacos. I dont know what their problem is but now ive made the choice to go either to the location near the 2 freeway or in highland park. They always have my usual meal. And that goes for any other pollo loco ive gone too. Its not just the tacos either. They take FOREVER to get your order in. Last time they even forgot about my order and skipped it until i reminded them. I dont think ill ever go to this location again or even recommend it.

Didn't try their food because they didn't open the door. I'm giving 1 start to be the management's concern what happens in this branch. I got there 25 minutes before the closing hour mentioned in Google Map, elpolloloco.com, and on the sign on the door. I could see the guy there, so knocked on the door, after a few tries he looks at me, so I pointed my watch and pointed the business hours sign on the door, but he didn't even bother to come forward and talk and just makes gestures saying they're close.

Worst location in Glendale/Burbank area! The reason is a very unprofessional and rude employee name Martinez. Her customer service Is 0 Stars, obviously SHE does not care about ruining the locations reputation. Very disrespectful employee. I refused to accept my order and therefor asked for a refund following this situation.

I usually enjoy eating the food at this Pollo Loco location. The food is tasty however, the service is terrible. In particular an employee named Victor who mistreated my father who happens to be Mexican. Victor is rude and insinuated my father wanted his chicken free for using a coupon. My fathers feelings were hurt and we would like for Pollo Loco’s CEO to look into retraining Victor to treat his customers better. I usually enjoy my experience at this location, but after learning about Victor mistreatment towards my father I will no longer visit this location.

Arrogant female manager evening of 1-22-19 lacks customer service. Using a birthday app rewards coupon for a 2 piece dark chicken meal, I nicely asked if I can pay the difference to upgrade to white meat n do a misc charge. Juan called female manager or supervisor in charge. She came up looking irate and said it doesn't work. I told her I'm aware the computer will only take the coupon but if somehow I can pay separate difference to make it a white meat. She said she can try but if it doesnt accept then I wont get it. At this point my understanding of the way she explained is if it doesnt work then I cant pay the difference therefore I'll be stuck with what's on the coupon. She didnt explain it thoroughly. They scanned my app and it shows coupon used they said It didn't work and thinking that I'll just settle w the dark meat meal, I waited for 20-25 min. Others behind me got their order and I'm still waiting. I came up to Juan n asked where my meal is. He said the lady didnt ring me up. So I said then app said used already therefore I want my meal. He called the lady in charge and she tried to argue w me that she told me coupon would be lost and I wont get any meal. I replied that that was not what she explained and if I would have known then I would have not even told her to try. There were no apologies given to me for the dilemma, I speak perfect english and I dont know why she would not understood what I was trying to request. I was willing to pay difference just to get the upgrade. If I would have received an apology or better explanation ..or even a warm friendly smile, I would not have been writing his complaint. Being a customer service supervisor and assist manager in my past career, I am well aware when the company fails to train their personnel with common and basic customer service skills. It appears to me that el pollo loco doesn't care about their clientele. I use rewards because I often visit el pollo loco restaurants. Having a nice birthday treat would make me feel the company care for their repeat customers. Although eventually the manager had allowed the clerk Juan to give me the order from that appeared on my rewards app, she sure did not appear happy nor giving my order with sincerity. Instead she made me feel like i was a beggar off the street asking for free food while I was only trying to claim the rewards that was dully mine. It's a horrible feeling. So much for a nice treatment from El Pollo Loco while claiming a birthday reward. Never again!!! Having gone through this issue is definately going to spread waves of negativity and resentment towards returning to this place of business. It basically ruined my evening or entire day for that matter. Very bad customer service especially coming from the management in charge this evening. I should have gotten her name but due to how badly she made me feel, I just wanted to get our of that restaurant.

I had a coupon for a family meal for 12 pieces of chicken 3 sides. I though it was a good deal. It was a to go order due to covid-19. When I got home the chicken was old and hard the rice just the same old and crunchy no flavor and the beans are from a can. Threw away the rice and only ate some of the chicken the one that appeared a little fresher. End it up eating something else. Horrible food!!!

I ordered chicken tamale platter but was given chicken enchiladas platter with sour cream. Funny thing is I'd already started eating it before I realized that it was the wrong dish. It's a good idea to have the cashier read your order back to you to avoid this from happening to you. Lol!

Bad Service! I ordered online to pick up, not only did they get my order wrong the food looked weird I ordered 3 tostada salads & all 3 tostadas had different color tostadas from burnt tostada to a pale tostada I asked a female employee why did the tostadas look like that she said she didn’t know & went to go get a male employee he didn’t say nothing he just took it to the back & just went to add sour cream & that’s it he closed the lid & gave it to me! Over priced, quality of food not great. I ordered the fit plate, the spinach salad, and meat was floating in bean juice as if I ordered soup. I told the employee this is not what the plate looks like in the menu photo. The night Manager Justin D. La Canada Flintridge location, pull down the photo from the menu and walked up to the drive through window, and said " Pollo Locos food never looks like the picture" "your food is Not gonna look like this at Pollo Loco".

We came at the door but the man said that work there say they are close and told me to go to drive through signaling me where to go,,,and so I went and walk there, but when I was in the speaker, nobody answers,,I ask multiple times, nobody answers,,,so I went back to get my car and then went back and finally this guy answered. What's upsetting is he could have answered me earlier and tells me that I cannot order if I'm not inside my car,,,he just ignored me IN SILENCE and I could have saved 15 mins if he told me I can't do it that way...my kids were already hungry,,, I respect rules but at least he could have said something and not just ignore me in the beginning...in the first place he was the one who pointed me to turn around and go to drive through to order...I was interpreting it differently....when we got the food, no smiles, no hello, no thank you,,,we even Siad thank you....we're so glad we don't live here and we have to deal with this guy again and again,,as el pollo loco is always our restaurant every week.

I went to the location El Pollo Loco on Colorado and Glendale on 08/30/19 for the first time and it was a total disaster. I ordered a family size meal of 16 pieces which came with 3 sides I specifically ordered corn, rice and pinto beans. On the side I ordered another large side of mashed potatoes. When I received my order the lady read the receipt to me and just pointed at my order. I as a very naive person just trusted what this El pollo Loco employee handed me in the bag. For my surprise after a 40 minute drive getting ready to have my meal with my family I discovered I got charcoal chicken and my large side of pinto beans was missing. I called the restaurant to let them know about the inedible chicken which was burnt and the missing large side of pinto beans the man whom answered the phone said to me he couldn’t do anything about my order and the missing items. In the case if I wanted to I can drive back another 40 minutes to pick up the pinto beans but they couldn’t do anything else. I demanded to speak to the manager and he denied me the right to speak to his superior and instead laughed at me. After going back and forth with the discussion I offered to leave my phone number so the manager can call me back because the person on the phone kept telling me the manager was busy. I waited the whole evening and no one returned my call. I tried contacting the corporate office but no one answers the call just drops.

So many issues: 1. We sat curbside for 15 min waiting and nobody came out, so I had to go inside to get the food. Why offer curbside if that's how you treat customers? Receipt shows car make, model, and color. 2. Ordered queso burrito with shrimp (extra $1) BUT got chicken! 3. Ordered 2pc chicken meal with 2 small rice. Only got 1 rice. 4. Meal was supposed to come with chips, got NONE. 5. Indicated to add utensils. Got NONE. 6. Only got green sauce, no red included. Apparently you need to unwrap the bag and check what you can before you leave. Wouldn't know about the shrimp unless eating there. You need to do better!! Esp for the prices you are charging now.

This location used to be one of the better ones. Went back yesterday after a long time and the service and food quality have gone downhill. The chicken was old and soggy, rice was very dry, food was just lacking freshness. Prices have gone up, as with everything else, but I wouldn't mind if the quality was there.

I went to the drive through today and I order 2 plates of the 3 chicken tacos Al carbon plates. I asked for cilantro sauce. I was told it’s only for their salads. What? I never heard this before! As I get to the window, I asked the older lady at the window for cilantro sauce. She said we will give you one, but it only for salads. I said “ no one has ever told me that before”. She replies “ oh I’m sure they have”. I know they have”. Calling me a liar!! She doesn’t know me!! I have no reason to lie to her. Their customer service is appalling. I would of gladly paid for it, if they asked. instead I was met with complete rudeness !!!!!

Beware quality of food is horrible. I’ve tried this location three times each time it looks like they don’t know how to put the meals together as what is described and what is Consistent at other locations. Tostada salads were only halfway full and sloppy compared to ingredients and Quality I’ve had in the past from other locations. Last visit three things that I wanted to order they did not have because they were out of it including one was a four piece chicken meal. How do they run out of chicken? Tastes so bad I could not even eat my last order it tastes like they poured a cup of salt in it. Every time after I get a food poisoning. You may ask why do you keep going back. Each visit has been at least six months or longer in between thinking it would be different, And yes obviously I'm stupid. This has to be a Management issue I don’t know But it is consistently horrible.

I ordered double chocken tostada salad and I literally have one piece of dried up chicken in the salad. Very bad service and they treat you on your food. I recommend go somewhere else. This is not right when you get home and you open a surprise bag just because I chose the wrong place and went through the drive-thru. The chicken is old and nasty anyway. I was just hungry. It's better to be hungry then some body take you as a fool and take your money and then laugh at you

I went to this location on my break from work. I hardly go to pollo loco but I had some coupons and wanted to try their Chicken and shrimp tostada bowl. I arrived at 9:45 and pulled into the driveway. Online it says they open at 9:30. I waited for a couple of minutes and no one spoke to me so I had to back out of the drive thru and park to go inside. The doors were locked and I could see 2 employees getting things together. I knocked on the door and 1 lady put her hands up like she was signaling 10 o'clock. I knocked again and some guy walked up and said to give them 10 minutes because they weren't ready. I dont have 10 minutes to give you, im working just like you. Maybe get to work on time so you can set up prior to your opening time. I left there how I arrived, hungry. Won't be going back

All good reviews are BOUGHT reviews believe they negative ones! I order their chicken combos and they arrived totally burnt, super dry and not salty! I also ordered water and Fanta both were missing! The chiros was burnt as hell and very dry. Save your money and go to an other polo loco location!

Horrible service by Ruby the drive-tru person. Didn't want to ask the manager Julian to come to the window. Refuse to allowed me to add additional order because of her timer, slammed the window and told me to start the line. Order took a long time to service to start and refuse to take my small request. I spent over $100 on food. Poor packing, forgot to give me rice and I can't even believe no one was even answering the phone. Got home to eat were more side orders missing, food and tortillas cold, chicken was dry as hell.

If you're looking for an ALL AROUND TERRIBLE experience, then this is the right place! What you can expect from this Glendale location: 1. No "Welcome to El Pollo Loco..." greeting when you pull up to the drive through, instead you hear an ANGRY, AGGRESSIVE voice screaming "HELLO!?; HELLLOO??!!!" AT YOU; 2. After you get over your SHOCK at being screamed at, you'll place your order; 3. Then when you pull up to the window to pay you'll get to hear all the employees cussing and talking smack to each other; 4. When you start to pay and ask for ONE extra salad dressing, you'll be RUDELY informed, "one per salad!" Then when you say that you'll pay for it, you'll be snapped at "WE DON'T SELL THEM!"; 5. You'll pull away and get home to find that your order is COMPLETELY WRONG and you BASICALLY GOT ROBBED! We ordered 2 double chicken tostada salads and a large Mac-n-cheese for $29. The salads that we ordered should've had a tostada bowl with double chicken, rice, beans, avocado, lettuce, sour cream, and pico de Gallo. Our salads came in a plastic bowl, with a single portion of chicken, corn, a small amount of avocado, a tiny bit of pico and WILTED and ROTTEN lettuce! (Pics attached.) LITERALLY ROBBED! Didn't bother calling to speak with the manager as there seemed to be no point since it was apparent that only rude kids that don't give a F*** appear to work there and if there was an adult manager on duty then they clearly had no control or ability to manage properly which is not reassuring. Unless the place undergoes A MAJOR OVERHAUL, we won't be back.

This review is about the store overall. This has nothing to do with the staff that night because they seem to be doing what they can with what they have. This review is about the general manager and what a horrible job this person is doing at running a store. The staff all look super stressed out causing issues with orders and just all around messy. They didn't have any salsas and the food was not prepped. They were taking ingredients out of bags and containers. The food was decent. They forgot a creamy cilantro that I paid for and also had to go back for a missing item. They need a better structure and it starts at the top. This experience has happened on multiple occasions. Long wait times as well. Inpatient people waiting for their food.

I normally don’t complain about waiting for my food, but this experience was ridiculous. My order was said to be ready at 1:30, got to the restaurant at 1:40, and proceeded to wait almost another 40 for my food to be ready. If there was going to be a problem, they should’ve called me and told me like many of restaurants have. The cashier was the only helpful person trying to get my order ready, while some of the other people had no urgency about my order.

They said they ran out of cilantro dressing and I went there for the tostada salad with avocado burrito and to use points for free taco. I scanned my QR code from the app on my phone using the $2 off tostada and cancelled it because they didn’t have cilantro dressing then I wasn’t able to use my points for a free taco. Employees said I couldn’t use rewards because the tostada coupon was scanned even though it was canceled. The burrito I got looks too small for $11. I was there over 30 mins inside and only ended up getting a burrito.

Bad experience. Happened today 4-8-25. Family of three, three orders of regular chicken. We wanted it juicy. What we got was hard like leather bonny old chicken disguised with BBQ on it. The Spanish rice was also hard and burnt. My impression was that instead of throwing the unsold food, they save money by doing that. The employees there were too noisy too. That was the last time I go there. I like Pollo Loco but I'll choose another one next time.

Horrible place to eat. I received my order cold plus old food. Plus don't read notes. I am allergic to the Sauce. In the options you had choices. I request Ranch Dressing. Everytime I also order the taste due to old food is horrible. I will no longer order from this place.

Usually like el pollo loco but first time at this location and they didn't heat up my quesadilla or BRC. The birra quesadilla is $10 and they barely but anything inside it just lots of onions and legit a chunk of avocado in one corner. There was no line in store or drive thru just a few customers in side not sure why they made the food so bad and small.
