Opinions de Karas Glendale
This was my first time visiting My Café & Lounge and I’m so glad I found it. A NEW TOP FAVORITE place of Mine! The food, service, and ambience is such a vibe here !!!!⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was already in Glendale I decided to stop by around 6:30 pm. The area is beautiful and the café itself has such a calm warm upscale vibe without feeling overwhelming. I was greeted by the owner Tony who was incredibly welcoming and my server David was attentive friendly and made the whole experience feel easy and unrushed. Every staff member is soo sweet, caring, kind and the customer service is amazing! Tony recommended the Alfredo truffle pasta with mushrooms and it was absolutely delicious rich flavorful and perfectly balanced. They have such a wide variety of specialty coffees and lattes. ☕️ I had the Ferrero Rocher latte with oat milk which came in a beautiful glass with a shot of espresso and it was one of the best specialty lattes I’ve had. For dessert I had the mini pancakes with Nutella and condensed milk. It was sooooo delicious 😍😍 The menu has so much variety from pastas, pizzas and sandwiches, to breakfast items toasts and healthy options plus vegetarian and vegan choices. My friend loves their tiramisu latte which I hear is another favorite is next on and they also have cakes and desserts that look amazing. The café is clean stylish peaceful and inviting and somehow even though it’s popular it never feels too crowded or hectic. They also have live music on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays which adds such a nice lounge atmosphere without being loud. Perfect for brunch with friends breakfast lunch dinner or even a relaxed solo visit. This has officially become one of my new favorite cafés and I’ll definitely be back. If you guys are in Glendale or around glendale you definitely have to check this place out ☺️
MyCafe has officially become my favorite restaurant-café 🤍 From the moment I walked in, I felt a true Yerevan-inspired atmosphere—warm, welcoming, and full of character. What truly impressed me was the exceptional cleanliness and neatness, which is unfortunately a rare find in Los Angeles. Clean restrooms are not easy to come by here, but MyCafe truly shines in cleanliness—everything was spotless and well cared for. As for the food—there are simply no words. I tried the chicken pasta, several salads, and their lemonades, and every single dish had an unforgettable flavor. Fresh, well-balanced, and made with care. This is my heart café—a cozy corner not only perfect for everyday dining and coffee, but also ideal for hosting beautiful meetups, gatherings, and special moments. Thank you to the owners and the wonderful staff for creating such a charming gem in the heart of Glendale. Places like this are truly special. 💫☕️
Great food. Warm, prompt service. Great location: right in the epicenter of the city with all its urban razz and foot traffic. Highly recommended, especially for those with a sweet tooth. Very clean. Credits to our server David. P.S. The tea was simply amazing.
I came to MyCafe from New York City. And I can not rave enough about how great this place is. We got the Armenian Breakfast, the Nutella and Banana Blinchik, and a lavash press sandwich. I have never had such an amazing breakfast like this! The eggs were cooked to perfection with such a great flavor, the press was so tasty, and the blinchick was such a great treat. We also got 2 lattes that reminded me of Italy! Made soooo good! I can’t wait to visit again. And the decor is so beautiful!! Keep up the great work!
I really liked the atmosphere and the quality. The coffee is excellent, and the pastries are delicious and fresh. The only thing I didnt like is that the prices are quite high for the size of the pastries and food, as they are quite small. However, the atmosphere and taste are excellent, and the staff is very friendly. It's worth trying at least once!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Gold Standard of Glendale Nightlife & Business Lounges If you are looking for a high-class, late-night sanctuary in Glendale, look no further. I recently hosted a group of corporate directors and investors here, and the experience was nothing short of world-class. Under the par excellent leadership of the owner, Tony, this establishment operates with a level of sophistication rarely seen in California. The Service: A Mediterranean Escape From the moment we walked in, we felt as though we had been transported to a high-end lounge in Mediterranean Europe. The service is the heartbeat of this place: * The 2 Davids: Provided attentive, intuitive service that catered to our every need. They are masters of their craft and menu thats world class! * Ms. Emilia: Welcomed us with a radiant, "sunshiny" smile that set the perfect tone for the evening. * Mike: Took the time to ensure our party was comfortable, making a large corporate group feel like VIP regulars through his unselfish time and effort in taking photos with the Boss The Culinary Excellence The food and drink are top-of-the-line. Our investors were blown away by the freshness of the Salad with Salmon and the precision of the coffee and tea service. However, the Lasagna is the undisputed star—honestly the best I have tasted in all of California. The Atmosphere & Logistics For executives, finding a venue that balances a "date night" aesthetic with "high-level business" utility is tough. Even better? They are open until 2:00 AM, making it the premier spot for post-work camaraderie and late-night deals. Final Verdict: 15/15 stars! Whether you are bringing a high-stakes board of directors or a romantic date, Tony and his team will treat you like Kings and Queens. This is officially our new headquarters for excellence.
A Hidden Gem in Downtown Glendale – My Café & Lounge If you’re searching for that perfect neighborhood spot that somehow checks every box, look no further than My Café & Lounge in downtown Glendale. From the first sip to the last bite, everything here feels intentional, elevated, and genuinely crafted with heart. The refreshments are spot-on and the specialty coffees alone could win awards — rich flavors, carefully developed roasts, and that extra touch of creativity that makes each cup memorable. And then comes the food: vibrant, next-level flavors that speak for themselves. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or settling into a long, relaxed hang, the cuisine consistently delivers comfort, freshness, and something a bit special every time. But what truly sets this place apart is the vibe. The staff is warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming — you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. As someone who often strolls over with my pup, I’ve been blown away by how animal-friendly they are: water right away, a little pup cup treat, and plenty of sweet compliments. Not many spots nail that level of hospitality. The location is ideal, surrounded by great scenery and with super convenient parking (a blessing in Glendale!). It’s the kind of place that works no matter the occasion — solo coffee escapes, laid-back work sessions, lunch with friends, or even a cozy date night. It’s a refreshing, dependable retreat you’ll want to visit daily. Do yourself a favor: stop by as soon as you can. Once you’re here, you’ll immediately understand why My Café & Lounge is such an underrated treasure. This is the kind of hidden gem that deserves to be talked about — and experienced.
We had the most delicious dinner. Everything was extraordinary - the sandwiches , the desserts, the coffee. And the owners are the most amazing warm and generous people. Must come!
I finally found some delicious coffee. Yes, it's a little more expensive here than in Starbucks or other places. But if you have taste buds, then you will understand that the taste of coffee justifies the price. The tuna sandwich was also very tasty. A great place for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and speaks Armenian and Russian. The service is excellent.
Really nice play to grab a bite whether it's breakfast lunch or dinner. The place is very clean and nicely decorated and the staff is extremely friendly. The food was worth every penny it was so delicious and fresh!
It was my first time at this restaurant, I came here to work on my schoolwork, etc. I thought it'd be some kind of lounge or workspace, from the name, but it's more of a restaurant, so keep that in mind if you're coming here to study, etc. Im not sure if you can work on your stuff here, but I did get a warning at the door that if you order food, you have a maximum time of 90 minutes here. I got sat at a table, and got helped by a server called Jordan. Supppppper nice and helpful guy. It was my first time and I wasn't sure what to order. Everything looked good, and I wasn't picky. I asked him what to order and he recommended the Lavash Wrap. He told me I could customize the meat inside, but I wasn't sure what some of the meats were, so I told him to choose and pick for me. He asked for the type of food I enjoy, and chose for me. I ended up really liking it since I have a more salty preference palette. I also asked him for coffee recommendations. He recommended a couple, and I told him I didn't like super sweet coffee, so he helped me in ordering it with less sweetness. In the photo, you can find the Tiramisu Latte. Not too sweet, and tasted so perfect when mixed together. Loved it :) Prices here are definitely a bit higher, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, vibe and service here is great.
I truly want to recommend this café to everyone and thank the owner once again for the great service. It’s the first time I’ve seen an owner so dedicated and responsible in their work. I had guests visiting from Sacramento, and I brought them here so they could feel true Armenian warmth — and that’s exactly what happened! We asked to take a photo, and the owner kindly came over several times to make sure we got the best shot. He even treated a child to a sweet 😊 Thank you for your kindness, hard work, and warm atmosphere. Wishing you continued success and many happy customers! 🌟
You can tell right away that My Cafe takes pride in what they do. The quality of the food is outstanding—fresh ingredients, great flavors, and everything made exactly right. Every bite tastes homemade and thoughtfully prepared. What really sets this place apart is the service. The staff is professional, welcoming, and genuinely cares about your experience. Orders come out quickly, everything is accurate, and they’re always happy to help or make recommendations. My Cafe is the perfect spot if you’re looking for consistently great food, a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, and excellent customer service. It’s rare to find a place that checks all the boxes, but this one truly does. Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved this cafe/lounge! The space looks amazing—beautifully designed with such a great vibe. The desserts are hands down some of the best I’ve had, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. A perfect spot to relax, enjoy great sweets, and feel genuinely taken care of. Highly recommend!
This cafe is a real gem! The desserts are outstanding—fresh, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. The staff adds to the charm with their warm and attentive service, making every visit feel special. It’s an ideal place to unwind, savor amazing treats, and enjoy a truly inviting atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!
My Cafe and Lounge – Glendale Such a cozy and stylish spot! The atmosphere is super relaxing — perfect for morning coffee or a chill evening hangout with friends. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and quick with service. The food is delicious, portions are generous, and the coffee tastes amazing — rich aroma and perfectly brewed. In the evenings, they play great music, and the outdoor seating makes it a lovely place to enjoy the Glendale vibe. The interior is modern and comfortable, with warm lighting and soft couches that make you want to stay longer. Definitely one of the best places in Glendale — can’t wait to come back! 💫☕️✨
This café and lounge in Glendale is such a hidden gem! The atmosphere is cozy yet modern — perfect for relaxing with friends, catching up, or just enjoying a quiet coffee break. The staff are always welcoming and attentive, and you can tell they really care about creating a great experience for every guest. The coffee/ tea are top-notch (you can taste the quality in every sip), and the food is always fresh and flavorful. Whether you’re in the mood for a perfectly crafted latte, a smoothie, or something from the menu, everything comes out beautifully presented. What really sets this place apart is the vibe — chill music, comfortable seating, and a clean, stylish interior that makes you want to stay a while. You can feel the community energy here; it’s the kind of spot that quickly becomes your go-to. Highly recommend stopping by — Glendale needed a spot like this!
Absolutely love this place! From the moment you walk in, it feels warm and welcoming. The vibe is elegant yet comfortable — you can relax, chat, or work with a great cup of coffee. The menu has a nice mix of fresh dishes and desserts, and everything I’ve tried so far has been full of flavor. The staff are super attentive and kind, and you can tell they genuinely care about creating a good experience for everyone. The lounge area is perfect for spending time with friends or having a quiet solo moment. It’s rare to find a spot that combines good food, atmosphere, and service so well — My Cafe and Lounge really nailed it! Highly recommend. 💕☕️🌿
I’m shocked this place doesn’t have ALL 5 star reviews. I ordered the hummus and bread for the appetizer, and the chicken breast bbq plate for my main. I tried some of the borscht my mom ate and it tasted good; she was very satisfied. The atmosphere and service are also very good, I was pleased. Came here on a Friday evening, wasn’t too busy. Can’t wait to come here again. Note - the tea selection here is outstanding. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for healthy and delicious Armenian food.
Great Armenian restaurant with some Russian and Uzbek specialties. Everything was really great. We had borsch, plov, lamb, beef koobideh, chicken filet, dolma, khachspuri. Everything was fantastic. I wish Borsch was warmer, but the taste was good as well as the spread and the brioche. There was my favorite Georgian lemonade Dyushes. Some of the food was left dye to large order and we took it away. Hopefully eggplant rolls will be added to the menu soon. The Georgian Kharcho soup would be amazing, too.
Authentic borscht and various Armenian selections that will surely make you feel at home. The lamb I had was a good texture, showing it was made with care; & I love the bread basket with the different options and the gourmet butter. The atmosphere felt inviting and the two blonde server ladies gave great service and gave insight into some of the items that I was not familiar with. They were friendly but not fake. I too appreciate the blonde server guy who brought the food out to us for his professionalism. A great spot for Armenian cuisine and some other Eastern European flavors thrown in. Good place to try out of this is what you look for. Also to mention the ceramic tableware is stunning. Only flaw is the nightclub or whatever event venue upstair could be loud.
Karas Restaurant in Glendale is an amazing spot with authentic flavors and great presentation. Everything we tried was fresh, full of taste, and beautifully served. The portions are generous, and the food feels both comforting and high quality. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is fast and friendly. You can tell they really care about making guests feel at home and delivering a memorable dining experience. Definitely one of the best places in Glendale for enjoying delicious traditional food. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing experience at the restaurant! The meat was incredibly juicy and tender — it just melted in our mouths. The khachapuri was absolutely delicious, with perfect dough and rich flavor. A special thanks to our server Anastasia — she was so attentive, caring, and friendly. She made the evening even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Excellent drinks. Can’t comment about the food. We stopped by to relax before going to a dinner nearby after a funeral. We needed a short break and were welcomed to sit at the bar where we got a first hand view to watch happened behind the bar. We enjoyed two hand crafted cocktails created just for us. Eric was personable and impressively professional and invited us to return for what he promised was excellent food. It’s on our list.
Karaş Restaurant is perfect for large family gatherings! The service was exceptional—fast, friendly, and attentive—and the food was delicious with generous portions. The spacious setup and great value made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend for anyone hosting a group! Thank you guys!!! Very happy:)
We have been to Kara's a few times and there is a reason why we keep coming back...it's amazing! Their chicken kabob is perfection, juicy and not dried out with plenty of flavor. In general Kara's have large portions so it makes the meal worth it. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. I would recommend checking Kara's Dine-in out if you've never been and ill definitely be back.
Our favorite place. We were among first customers when they opened. I am happy to see Karas thriving. Our favorite dishes is beef and chicken kabob that comes with platter -rice, pickled veggies and bread. Blini is also very delicious, also my childhood lemonade with tarragon or pear lemonade are the best! Very nicely located just across the Americana and they have very cozy tables outside with nice views.
Karas was recommended to us by a friend. We stoped by for a dinner while visiting LA/Glendale and had very good time. The weather was excellent and we chose to sit outside. Once we ordered the food, it came out pretty quickly without a delay. Dishes we got were mostly delicious. We liked everything we ordered. The waitress was very nice and pleasant. Prices are good too. All in all excellent experience.
Homey Armenian spot with delicious food. Came here for a birthday lunch of about 20 people and it was well organized. I parked a couple of blocks away for free and you can also park at the mall (not Americana) for free. Complimentary bread was provided. We had the salad followed by platters with an array of meats. Everything was well seasoned and juicy. I particularly liked the beef kebabs. We had pizzas too (which are vegetarian) and I liked those as well. We tried Georgian lemonade, which came in a bright green color and was very sweet. They do have wine and beer. We ended with a soufflé and baklava-cake hybrid with vanilla ice cream for dessert. We had a lot of leftovers and they provided to-go containers at the end of the meal.
We visited this restaurant and had mixed impressions. Cons: 1. The presentation of the food did not meet expectations. The menu said “Телячья вырезка (beef BBQ plate),” so I imagined thinly sliced meat served in a nice way. Instead, we were served shashlik with rice, a cabbage salad, and a large piece of bell pepper. The taste was fine, but for the price I expected a more refined presentation. 2. The meat was dry (both the beef and the lamb were overcooked and not juicy). We were too hungry and tired to ask for a replacement. 3. The dessert (crème brûlée) was VERY small. For the price, I would have expected a larger portion. 4. Many items on the menu seemed overpriced. For example, tzatziki sauce was $8. Considering the presentation and the dryness of the meat, I don’t think the dinner was worth the money (dinner for two with tea, one dessert, and tips came to $104). Pros: 1. Beautiful interior and pleasant atmosphere. 2. Live music (a man was playing the trumpet/saxophone). 3. The menu is available in three languages: English, Russian, and Armenian. The staff greeted us and spoke Russian with us, but they could also easily take the order in English. To be fair, we could have asked for the meat to be redone, and perhaps the impression of the dish would have been different. It is also possible that other menu items are tastier and presented more beautifully, and we were simply unlucky with our choices. However, based on our first impression, we would probably not return to this restaurant.
We were walking through Glendale a few weeks ago when we passed by Karas, and right away the smell stopped us in our tracks. My wife and I looked at each other and basically decided then and there: next time we’re in the area, we’re eating here. Fast forward to that “next time,” and right as we’re walking up, we see a DJ set up outside. Totally unexpected. Turns out it was the first time they were trying something like that, and even the servers asked what we thought about it. We sat inside, so it wasn’t loud or anything, but from what we saw, it added a fun, laid-back energy to the place. We went with the Family Combo #1, which honestly should be called a feast. It came with pork ribs, lamb chops, beef and chicken BBQ, beef and chicken lula kabob, fire-roasted peppers, fire-roasted potatoes, rice, hummus, ajika, and a side salad. And they don’t stop there; they bring out a side of bread too. I added tzatziki because… well, why not? Everything was just solid. Tons of flavor, perfectly cooked, and there was so much food we ended up with leftovers for the next couple of days. They don’t technically have a kids’ menu, but they do offer pizza, so we got a cheese pizza for our daughter, and she loved it. There’s also a bar if you’re just looking to grab a drink, and they’ve got a good amount of outdoor seating too. Overall, we had a great time and already made plans to come back soon with more of our family.
Interesting menu items. They were very busy, so service was slow, but expected. Took a long time to even see a waiter, although food arrived quicker than we anticipated. I was a bit confused on their version of bbq. It was flavorful none the less. The pizza is pretty good, almost a must have, though wasn't the best wood stone oven pizza in the area. The Beef Lula was my favorite, soft and flavorful until the last bite. Everything else was pretty average. Outside seating is great to people watch and is recommended. They have heat lamps for those cold days.
Very disappointing experience at My Cafe. We came in as two people and were seated at a larger table even though other seating options were available. We ordered immediately just two coffees. After our order was taken, we were informed that if we were only ordering coffee, we were allowed to sit for a maximum of 45 minutes. This rule was never mentioned before we were seated. About 20 minutes later, while we were calmly sitting and talking and had not even finished half of our coffee then the server came over and asked, “How are you paying?” even though we had already paid and our 45 minutes were not over. Shortly after, the manager/owner approached us and made it clear that the cafe was full and they wanted us to move to a smaller table or sit outside so they could seat new customers. It felt like we were being rushed out simply to make room for others. The entire situation felt uncomfortable, unprofessional, and poorly managed. I would not recommend this place. I would strongly recommend that My Cafe’s management and staff consider traveling to Armenia for professional customer service training. They could learn a lot from established restaurants, hospitality groups, and management teams known for high service standards such as Yeremyan Project, Balkhachov Group, MBG group , or even from experienced professionals like Areg from Kamancha. If traveling to Armenia is not an option, they could also find excellent service training opportunities in the United States. I would be happy to help point them toward well-run restaurants and hospitality teams here that demonstrate proper guest-first service and professional management.
Unfortunately, this was the only option close to me that has some coffee and food at about 10pm without getting into a full restaurant. There were about 3 small tables outside that were full with plates from previous customers and I asked to have a seat outside. FIRST thing that I was told is “coffee orders have 45 min and food orders 60min”…. I almost laughed at that 😂 this is a first time I hear a time limit...if someone is at the table for too long, there are polite ways to let them know that the restaurant is busy and you cant just seat there with no orders. What type of cheap service is that. But ok… whatever. I was really hungry. I said “ok, I’ll just get that small table outside”. SECOND thing I hear is “are you alone?”. Meaning if its just me I might not spend enough or what? What kind of question is that? And FINALLY they offer me a bigger table but right next to the restroom door😂 when I asked to get that small table outside and that I dont mind wait till it will be cleaned , I was told “it would take 15min to clean it” 😂😂 15min? 😂 come on. The table is like 20” by 20” with 3 plates on it. They definitely have to work on their service technics and level it up. Sad to see this type of service in Glendale.
Thought this place would be super good going off reviews. It took us forever to even get table settings. The California burger was OK. The lamb chop plate with fries ( the lamb chops were not bad, but I've had way better. Under seasoned and the fries super hard). Truffle warmest fries were TERRREIBLEEEE! The fries were EXTREMELY hard and over fried. The service was ridiculous, maybe because i was the only Black American there. Felt completely disregarded as a customer. Then to add to the terrible service the waitress doesn't give me my full change back. I WILL NEVER EVEN LOOK AT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND going here. There are more less expensive and extremely tasteful Mediterranean places in LA. Only came because my son has the same name as the restaurant.
