This review is long overdue, but I had to share how wonderful our experience was at BJ’s (SEPTEMBER 2025)! My family and I were on vacation, surprising our eldest son with a Universal Studios trip for his 13th birthday. Because my younger son has severe food allergies, we are extremely limited when it comes to dining out, so we were excited to have dinner at BJ’s since it’s one of the few places he can safely enjoy. Our server, Katie, was absolutely incredible. From the moment she walked up to our table, she was warm, kind, and so sweet to both of my boys. We originally ordered chicken tenders for the kids, but once I mentioned my son’s allergies, Katie immediately checked with the kitchen and the manager on duty. I’m so sorry I didn’t catch the manager’s name, but she was just as kind and attentive. They informed us that the tenders are fried in the same oil as seafood, so we switched to ordering a pizza instead. What stood out the most was how proactive and caring both Katie and the manager were. They didn’t hesitate, they double-checked everything, and even came back to follow up to make sure we felt comfortable and safe. Both Katie and the manager checked in on us afterward, and their kindness really stood out. If Katie is still part of the team, she deserves all the praise. She made our visit safe, easy, and enjoyable. We appreciate & thank you 🤎

We had an incredible experience at BJ’s thanks to our amazing server, Katie. From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. She anticipated everything we needed before we even asked, gave perfect menu recommendations, and made our dinner feel special. Huge restaurant with lots of TVs showing different sports games and wide variety of food options that are all delicious. The appetizer sampler platter is great for sharing, and the ribs were big and flavorful. Service is great and the interior is clean.

I have been coming to this BJ’s for years now, I hadn’t been here for several years and went yesterday; the place was packed, and that tells you something. Food was great, prices are very reasonable (spent $70 for 2 people on dinner), and the staff is friendly. I remember I would come pre-covid, and this place would be almost empty. Glad they’ve changed stuff around. I got the full rack ribs and it was awesome (gave me Tony Roma’s vibes- if you know, you know). 5/5.

First off, the service here is excellent! We had Lataya, and is super knowledgeable with the menu items, and even recommended certain meals based on who was working on the kitchen that night. The smokehouse burger was very good and juicy, even for well done! We also had the deep dish pizza, gourmet five meats. The pizza was so good and meaty, but also, the deep dish style was very delicious. We also had the cinnamon roll pizookie- that was very good as well! All in all, a great night at Glendale's BJ's.

We went here for my friend’s birthday! They surprised him with a nice desert and a little candle on it! The food was good but the beef soup did not taste really good.

The ambiance for this restaurant was cool. We got there and it was a bit busy but we were able to get a table for 3 fairly quick. I ordered a margarita flight which had strawberry, handcrafted, spicy mango and white peach. They were all really nice and tasty. I would rate them from best to worst white peach, spicy mango, strawberry and handcrafted. Definitely recommend the flight. We got a artichoke and spinach dip and that was really good. They compliment each other very well. I ordered the New Orleans Jambalaya and it was nice and spicy bur not too much. Peppery and the eice was cooked right. Nicely seasoned as well. The only gripe I have is that for the price you pay you should get way more food. For dessert I ordered a triple chocolate pizookie with vanilla ice cream and it was great. Gooey, chocolatey but not too much and just the right amount of hot and soft. Definitely recommend. Overall I enjoyed my time here and would recommend.

I usually order takeout from here twice a week and have well over 100 orders over the years. The food is fine. I can't tell you how many times they've screwed up my takeout orders though. Make sure to check any orders and don't trust them. The problem is, they'll usually insist on remaking a screwed up order when that's not necessary. Such as they added mayo to a burger that was ordered with no mayo. Instead of just replacing the bun, they make you sit there for a whole new burger. Just tonight that happened and when the burger came back, the order was STILL messed up where they didn't have bacon on a bacon-guac burger. As long as you don't trust them to get things right the first time (or even the second time), it's your typical restaurant experience. UPDATE: The day after posting this review I placed another order. They screwed this one up too resulting me having to take another trip back there to pick up the dressings they left out. It's partly my fault at this point because I should know *something* is probably going to be screwed up.

BJ’s Restaurant Experience – Not Exactly a Special Occasion Spot or what I thought it was going to be. I guess BJ’s isn’t the place to go for a Caesar side salad or apparently their prime rib special either. My wife, kids, and I decided to head there after a kids’ concert at the mall around midday. I mean, what could go wrong? Apparently, quite a bit. ⸻ The Service: We were seated quickly since the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. Menus were handed out, and we started looking over our options for lunch. Then… nothing. No server came by for about 20 minutes. Eventually, we flagged someone down to ask what was going on. The server assigned to our table showed up and explained that he thought someone else had already helped us a bit strange, considering the menus were just sitting there untouched. To make up for the delay, they offered us a complimentary appetizer or dessert, which was appreciated. We chose the avocado egg rolls. We also requested to split the bill my wife and I with our kids on one check, and my brother with his wife and child on the other. Somehow, the server managed to mix up the orders, placing their items on our check and vice versa. Fixing the mistake turned into a bit of a hassle. For context, this all happened around noon on a Sunday so not exactly peak dining hours. Yet the service still missed the mark. ⸻ The Food: I ordered a Caesar salad with a side of chicken. Visually, it reminded me of something you’d get at Chuck E. Cheese. The lettuce was yellowing and looked pretty sad. It was edible because I was hungry, but definitely not appetizing or fresh just basic, low-quality ingredients. My wife ordered the prime rib special, which came with two sides, a side salad, and a Pizookie. For the sides, she chose mashed potatoes and broccoli. The mashed potatoes lacked butter and flavor, and the broccoli was dry and overcooked. The prime rib itself was disappointing it was about 60% fat. While I know prime rib is a fattier cut, this was excessive. It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic: offer a “special” using the cheapest cuts to attract customers, but deliver something inedible. The steak looked big, but most of it was just fat. The only thing “special” about it was how much of it wasn’t meat. Honestly, the food quality was more on par with a Sizzler, but at Cheesecake Factory prices. Not exactly the vibe we were hoping for on Father’s Day. ⸻ The Ambience: Typical BJ’s décor nothing remarkable. The restaurant had plenty of empty tables due to the time of day, yet they still couldn’t manage decent service despite the light crowd. ⸻ In Conclusion: Unless my kids are specifically begging for a Pizookie, I don’t see myself going out of my way to return to BJ’s. The service was underwhelming, the food lacked quality, and the overall experience just didn’t justify the price. I’ll be choosing a restaurant with better service and fresher ingredients next time.

I went to this restaurant with my son while we were in town for an event. I ordered a steak because nothing else sounded good at the time. I ordered it rare but it came out very well done. I never send food back, but this was really overcooked. The waitress was super sweet about it when I let her know and I felt terrible even complaining. It took so long for a new steak that my son was completely done eating. The waitress was apologetic about the wait when bringing me the new one so I didn’t make a big deal out of it, but I will never eat at this place again. The first picture is the first steak that was extremely overcooked considering I ordered it rare. The second one was better and edible.

My husband and I came for a birthday dinner. Our food was great and so was the atmosphere. Our server, Kevin Pinkus, was fantastic. He was attentive to our needs, incredibly polite and hospitable. We generally only come to BJ's for special occasions, due to the high cost of eating out, but we'll try to go out more often just to enjoy Kevin as a server. We know how difficult it is to be a server since our son is one in Tx. Kevin was definitely one of the good ones. Our only complaint was due to the bartender. We ordered strawberry margaritas and sent them both back. We couldn't taste any alcohol and barely tasted the strawberries. I think they need to advise the bartender that the cost of the alcohol and flavoring isn't coming directly from his paychecks! Thank you for a nice night out!

Did a pick up order for a pizza which was cold (arrived 5 mins after it was ready) and it looked like the box/pizza had been crushed. I called the store and a manager assured me I would receive a refund, he even confirmed my order details. Its been over a week and still no refund. It's disappointing because this used to be a really good location.
