Bella Mia Pizza at No.1

I visited with a friend and we both ordered pizzas and a soft drink, the pizza was lovely with fresh tasting ingredients. Staff were attentive and friendly, we had pre-booked and I’d recommend doing so as this area gets quite busy particularly at the weekend. My only negative point is the volume of the music, however this is definitely personal preference and the other member of my party has difficulties hearing (not that you’re talking when tucking into a delicious pizza anyway!), but we’d have preferred the music just ticked down a couple of notches so we could catch up properly. It wouldn’t put us off visiting again by any means, but if you do want a good catch up I recommend trying to be seated outside.

Pizza and Bruschetta is absolutely amazing!! The chefs were both very friendly and chatting while cooking which gave a nice atmosphere. The service staff were also very friendly and working hard in a busy but great atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing food and lovely staff. I asked for ketchup and they didn’t have any but one of the staff made me homemade it was delicious! I’m sorry dominos but Italians make pizza better !

One of best local pizza places! Great location, would recommend sitting outside on a nice day. Food was really fresh and delicious, staff were good but forgot a drink from our order even though we reminded them several times, so we just cancelled it.

Lately the best pizza I have eaten. I tried their prosciutto pizza, loved it. You must come here! Very kind and friendly staff! Tiramisu could be better!

We tried pizza in Settebello and in Zizzi, but from today our nr 1 pizza in Docks is Bella Mia. Drinks are brilliant and in very good prices.

Hands down the best pizza Gloucester has to offer. Beautiful setting and surroundings, super friendly staff. Live cooked pizza in an authentic pizza oven right infront of your eyes. Amazing cocktail selection also! 10/10 would reccomend. *would reccomend booking a table in advance!

Very good food and cocktails, an absolute asset to Gloucester. One feedback point I'd like to see, please put a foot rail on the chef's table seats for the more vertical challenged amongst us.

Located inside Gloucester docks it has a nice sitting area outside aswell as inside sitting and a nice little bar at the back. Staff were polite and food was ready in time.

Excellent. We popped in for lunch...a rather big lunch!😂 Food was very good, service was impeccable. Lovely atmosphere and setting in the docks. I really liked the coffee too. The chap that served us was incredibly nice... Turns out he was the owner! We will be going back again. Thank you

Absolutely amazing! 10/10 I love cocktails and by far this is the best place I have been too the atmosphere is great the staff are amazing and wow the cocktails tasted fantastic, this is definitely my place to go to highly recommend it 🙂

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic! Went for cocktails for my birthday on the 30th of December. Then, we had our previous restaurant cancel, so they also fit 9 of us in for dinner at very short notice. They had kind, friendly, and attentive servers who were very accommodating. The cocktails were well made and tasty, but the food was the highlight. I am a fan of good pizza, and theirs was insanely good! We had such a wonderful time and would 1000% recommend this to anyone. I also have a large list of allergies, and I was still able to eat there safely. They took really good care of us! Thank you so much to all of you. You made my birthday wonderful :)

What a refreshing change! My wife and I enjoyed a lovely evening at Bella Mia on Saturday. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive and friendly, striking the perfect balance between helpfulness and giving us space. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, with so many tempting options. After dinner, we decided to check out the cocktail bar and were delighted they could find a table despite us not having a reservation. The atmosphere was so cozy and inviting, the perfect place for a post-dinner drink. We also appreciated their transparency about the optional service charge. Bella Mia is a must-try – we can't wait to return!

The Pizza here, oh my goodness. The pizza is gooood. I’m not a big fan of pizzas in general but I absolutely loved the one I had in this restaurant! We walked in for late lunch (3pm) the restaurant was completely empty and it was actually nice to be able to talk to the staff to get recommendations and just talk about the restaurant as a whole, which is rare nowadays. I’m lactose intolerant and the chef said he could make any pizza suitable for me, as in he would remove the cheese from any of the pizzas I’d like; instead of just picking from the vegan options. That was awesome of him (thank you!). I ended up having the pizza called The Herd and sharing a garlic bread with my husband, he had The Garlic Mushroom pizza which he also enjoyed. We were very full after our lunch and would recommend the pizzas here!

Amazing food, fantastic service, lovely lunch sat outside under the canopy. Everything was delicious, with prompt, friendly service, the lemon tiramisu deserves a special mention! Thank you, highlight of our trip to Gloucester, highly recommend.

Went out with some friends here tonight and cannot recommend this place enough. The pizza was delicious and such fast delivery too. The restaurant area is lovely and out the back is the cutest charming bar. our servers Molly and Gabby were amazing!! Such friendly and sweet people that spent the time chatting with us. Went on a family night out, and I have to say that the food was excellent. Add to that a great selection of cocktails available & a great time was had by all. After food, we went into the cocktail bar area & that too was great. Service was excellent throughout & and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else.

Cocktails at Greendoor to the rear of the restaurant were superb and great atmosphere. Unrushed we enjoyed our drinks and the unique space. The cocktail menu was extensive and they were carefully made. We then moved to the front of the restaurant for pizza and wine. The food was delicious and again an extensive menu. Well worth a visit.

We had a great date night meal here recently, with an attentive and friendly staff. We sat watching and chatting to the chefs which was novel. Thanks

I have been to Bella Mia a few times now from being a local to the area, and it just gets better and better with each visit. The pizza is always perfect, and their dessert cocktails are literally to die for. The staff are always incredible and so accommodating too. I would massively recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Italian pizza experience!

Incredible cocktails, only went in for a couple but would gladly stay for days in the cocktail lounge in the back! Amazing bartender (i think his name was Daniel?) and waitress (i think her name was Jaya?) Amazing atmosphere, passionate staff, fantastic drinks, just an absolute gem of a place! Will definitely be coming again!!

Lovely pizza and drinks! Such a brilliant range of pizzas, it was very hard to pick. I had the chicken, pesto & garlic and my husband at the Herd. Really lovely, only little thing I would change is to add a bit more seasoning to the chicken. Service was fantastic! We will be coming back, and going to the Green Door! The bar looks great to visit as well!

Wow. What a gem of a cocktail bar hidden at the back of the pizza restaurant. Beautiful authentic surroundings and a fantastic and inspiring menu of amazing cocktails that were a real delight. We enjoyed a great evening here with friends. So pleased we found it.

What an amazing find. We were hungry and looking around for somewhere to eat and stumbled upon this place. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Pizzas were probably the best we've ever had. Lovely watching them being prepared and cooked in the wood fired oven. Warm, cozy, welcoming, candle-lit atmosphere and a special mention to Molly who was delightful. Can't wait to return

Incredible pizza! Great setting, great service and a vast pizza menu. We opted for the G.O.A.T. (which probably is the greatest pizza of all time), a margarita and a chicken pesto - all were delicious, soft sourdough bases cooked to perfection (not too thick, not too thin), and freshly prepared in front of you. Love the Food Dock for a change from the usual chains and this is one of Gloucester’s best.

The sourdough pizza was incredible—ahhh, I just wish I were a local so I could have it all the time! The staff were so friendly and kind, which made the experience even better. Just one tip: Since it’s an open kitchen, it can feel a bit uncomfortable to watch chefs handling fresh toppings like tomatoes and basil without gloves,even if they just washed their hands,but it can be a bit off-putting for customers. Other than that, everything was absolutely wonderful.

Lovely pizza, very large serving. Cheesy garlic bread could have been better and charging for the dips was a bit sneaky but overall a great place for good pizza.

Stopped for a bite at Mia Bella. The brushetta was delicious (a lot of garlic mixed with pesto and basil I think) and had the Chicken and garlic mushroom pizza which was really tasty. Warm and cosy inside watching the pizzas go in the oven. There is also a cocktail bar at the back of the restaurant. Small venue so pre booking advisable.

I attended Bella pizza restaurant and only had a pizza . It was okay but felt it Could have had a more generous topping. However, it was nice enough. I asked the waitress for a white wine spritzer with no ice ended up with glass full of ice. I pointed this out, it was returned without ice, but it tasted like watery Wine. I asked to change it again. She brought me what it seemed to be the same watery wine, and a small bottle of lemonade, which I hadn’t asked for!! How hard is it to get a white wine spritzer without ice? Overall nice atmosphere, Warm heaters and pleasant evening.

I have been to Bella Mia multiple times and had no issues accept today . Unfortunately when we were eating our pizzas both pizzas contained human black curly hair. This topping of course was not what we ordered… when we advised our waitress she apologised and that was it .. there was no further conversation . It was very awkward. However when we raised it the table behind us also said they had found a hair in their food … but they did not complain. There was no mention or any care of compensation or sincere apologies . We asked the waitress if the staff wore hair nets of which she had to view the kitchen to see they were not . I understand mistakes happen and perhaps if it was just one of our pizzas it wouldn’t have been raised to their attention but the fact it was both pizzas .. this is a cause for concern … we will not be returning . The pizza was nice and that was a shame it was ruined by a hair as topping ..
