Very welcoming, fast service, and portions are very huge! Comparing this to over 5 different poke restaurants I’ve been to, this is one of the best I’ve ever had! Meat quality is at a high as well. Love this place!

Hands down the best poke bowls. Really good ingredients, loved the setup for building out a bowl to your preference. I went with the four proteins to try a broad selection, octopus, ahi, yellowtail, and salmon. All were fresh and very tasty. Great value too, $18 for the massive bowl I got was a meal and a half.

The food is always great. Kevin was a huge help in explaining what everything was and catering to my needs. He had a smile on his face the whole time and was very helpful with making my tea and then putting together a poke me bowl with one of everything on it. Yum! Can't wait to return.

Always a good experience here. I like to stop in for the occasional Friday night treat and I always end up with tasty fish and veggies for a good price. I just wish there were some caffine free flavor options over on the boba bar since I don't want to get too hopped up so late in the evening.

Staff is very friendly and will go the extra mile. The atmosphere is really great for anime lovers. There is a variety in the customization of your poke bowl that it is great for even those who don't want any form of fish.

Generous portions of protein, there are cooked and raw choices, and all the sauces are different and good. Service has been quick and they typically have all of the choices. The ambiance of the restaurant is basically what is expected from a poke take out spot. There are a few tables but it is nothing to write home about. I never eat there so can't comment too much. Drink selection is limited to only cans/bottles of coke. Make sure you ask for soy sauce or hot sauce if you get take out- I usually forget that!!

Loved the generous naked ginger. Great boba at the Sno-Crave located inside. Almond Milk Tea with Boba and Elouise's Oolong Milk Tea with Boba and Lychee upgraded to an Xlarge because she got the second topping.

Fabulous food! You put your own combination together in a way you never had it before. Clearly for sashimi/fish lovers. I did not believe that the combination I put together would be any good but, wow!, It was fabulous. 100% sure will be back!

There were tons of different, fun toppings and sauces, many of which were new to me, and I was able to try them all because they offer unlimited toppings and sauces! Come hungry, because the servings are HUGE! I got a large and was only able to eat half. The lady in the shop gave me a to go lid and I ate it for dinner when we got back to our house. Just as good a few hours later. Could not recommend more!!!

This is some of the most generous poke I’ve had by far. The price is just like any other poke spot but more food. I Recommend getting literally anything. My family and I had different proteins and different sauces and asked for them to add all the toppings (which is included) and the three bowls tasted amazing.

They don't skimp which is great! I usually get three scoops because I often end up finishing all the toppings and have a ton of rice left. Every bite was tasty. $18,20 and 22 for the small, medium, large bowls. They have shave ice but we were stuffed after dinner.

This is literally my favorite place to eat in Santa Barbara. Delicious and fresh poke without nickel and dime-ing for every single ingredient. Whenever my family visits this is where we go. Can’t rate highly enough especially for such an unassuming place.

This was my first experience with this type of food. It's a bowl with different types of eastern style ingredients and different types of raw fishes as protein. Almost like combining a burrito bowl with sushi. Overall good and interesting, but not sure the type of food I'd come back to regularly.

Fresh fish, scallops, octopus... Quantity of portions more than adequate. Only qualm is the wide choice selection... and the slightly hurried serving approach. A bit like Subway, except that you don't know up front, what are sensible combinations. Servers are happy to make suggestions if asked. If you already know your preferences, go for it, but if not, watch a bit and then have the walk you through it. My personal fav is brown rice, house ponzu, mayo with yellow tail, tuna and octopus, topped with most everything. Be sure to add fried onion on top- decadent, but worth the 40 cal...

Good selection of fish and seafood options as well as base and topping options. Used to be our go-to spot for poke more often, but the prices have increased a number of times over the past year. A medium bowl now costs almost 14 dollars, which is pretty tough to justify for the size of the bowl and the amount of protein included. If they were more consistent with the amounts in their bowls, I might consider it more often, but there has been a number of occasions where I've paid over 15 dollars with tax for a bowl that is worth half that.

I recently discovered this place and loved the food. They have great variety and yummy sauces. The good thing is this place has a tasty and healthy vegetarian menu as well Staff was kind and this place is hugely popular among youngsters for Lunch. Loved it and within just $10 you can have a hearty and healthy lunch. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Also, they are available on Access card.

This place used to be amazing. I would honestly go here multiple times a week! I would also schedule lunch meetings here and tell all of my friends to go there. The owners and employees did everything possible to take care of you. Recently this restaurant changed owners and names(from pokeme to choppapoke). It has now turned into a place that although I enjoy the food I would rather avoid this place altogether. 1. The prices were raised significantly. When this place opened you could get a large 5 scoop bowl for $10 now a large is $15 with only 4 scoops. 2. The employees rush you to make decisions and scold you for asking for more. Today I asked for extra cucumbers and the employee says "that really is too much". 3. The owners and employees are constantly screaming at each other in Chinese. Which is slightly uncomfortable (and I speak Chinese which I don't think the employees knew haha) 4. This tables are not cleaned very often. I went in at 3pm and we found one table that was not coated in masago. So in summary the food is good, but it may not be worth the effort and cost to get it. This review honestly makes me sad to give because I have loved this place for soooo long.

Everything was very fresh and clean but I've never had it this way before. In Hawaii it was just tuna marinated in soy with some onion sesame seeds...simple. This stuff is like sushi salad deconstructed and the fish isn't even marinated. To each his his own but for me I'd rather just eat sushi.

The fish is good quality and tasty. As well as all the of toppings I've tried, with the exception of avocado. Several times the avocado has been really hard, as if it was just picked. I wouldn't mind it as much if they didn't charge such a large amount for it, which leads me to my last comment. The price here is WAY more then most Poke places I go to. Still cheaper then a sushi house for my fish craving, but man, $17 for a Poke Bowl? (With avocado).

It used to be better a couple years ago, the last several times it's been meh, at best. The protein, the fish, is cut into tiny pieces. It's almost like ground beef tiny. I won't be going back

I'm new to the area and I have yet to find good sushi/poke. I really wanted to like Choppa Poke but there's some problems. The cuts of fish aren't fantastic, and you get a combination of good cubed tender pieces, and some other stringy, chewy pieces. Overall quality is quite average, but better than some other places in the area I've tried so far. For the price, it's not worth it. 16$ for a medium bowl pre-tax is simply just not competitive and not worth it. I can't justify paying that price unless I'm in a hurry. There are good things though: Toppings are free, even avocado! That's pretty much it. I think it's better than some other places in the area, but clearly this location does not have the freshest fish coming in, which is unfortunate for sushi lovers around here.

Ordered 2 bowls on doordash and although delicious, not nearly as much food as we were expecting as compared to the pictures and not worth the $22 ish price point per bowl. Seems to be a common trend on food delivery, skimping on amount of food since customers are not there to argue in person.

Food is OK..long wait because there is only one person making the food. Good luck if you have a group or even just 1 customer in front of you. I had better poke outside the area, but there aren't many options in SB. The main reason for 2 stars is that the prices as of March 2022 are obscene: $20 with tax for a double protein bowl?! It better be a premium and a generous serving of fish for that price (which it wasn't). Won't be going back nor updating my rating until the prices go back to being reasonable (think at least ~half of that price, what it used to be).

Been going here for over a year now and the service and quality has gone down hill drastically. I would not recommend going here. I used to see the same guy and gal who also worked downtown and they were very friendly and always greeted us and gave great customer service. Ever since the new year I have gone 3-4 times and every time its a new guy and gal and they keep giving smaller serving sizes, are rude, and lack customer service skills. They said that edamame was a "premium topping" that my points went towards when in fact edamame has been give out for free for years. When I asked about it, the guy just walked away. Sad to see such a good place go down hill this quickly.

Been a loyal customer for a while and staff would happily welcome me back, but the new staff recently have been rude. Prices have gone up, portions are getting smaller and smaller, and bowls are haphazardly thrown together. This is my last visit.

Came in Sunday evening and the place was empty. I ordered one large bowl. I had an unpleasant experience with customer service. The bald man was rude to me by rushing my order and and speaking in Mandarin to the other worker after I asked him to repeat what he said. I still have a tip and was kind to this man. I do not need an apology from the business but I think it’s important that potential customers know not to expect respect at this establishment. The food is fine but I will not be back due to customer service.
