We ordered on-line, figuring the place would be jammed and it was. The parking lot is too small and was a zoo. Thankfully both salads and the sandwich we ordered were ready exactly on their estimate and were excellent. All 3 were a bit on the big side, but there weren't any complaints.

Amazing sandwiches at this deli. It's a local favorite and I have to eat here every time I am in town. You must try it, you will get hooked. The roast beef with horseradish is yummy and the avocado on it adds that little flavor touch.

South Coast Deli has been our go to quality sandwich/salad spot in the Goleta area.

What a wonderful deli filled with delicious choices! We had three different sandwiches. The eggplant on a intalian roll was to die for and the pesto with mozzerela and tomoatoes was great too. Even better was the fact that their gf bread was great! We will come back again after our next hike in the area.

The chef’s creativity really shines in every dish. I loved every moment of my visit.

I've been a loyal customer at South Coast Deli in Goleta for the past two years, visiting twice a week, and I've tried everything on the menu. Their food never disappoints! My all-time favorite is the Chicken Caesar Sammie—it's absolutely delicious and always hits the spot. The staff here is warm and welcoming, making every visit a pleasure. It gets busy at lunch, but ordering online for pickup is a breeze and saves a lot of time. Highly recommend South Coast Deli for anyone looking for fantastic food and great service!

Love to eat at South Coast Delis when in the area.

It’s a large sandwich, you may only eat half right away, but get the whole sandwich, you’ll want that other half later - SO BOMB! Highly recommend this place, and definitely use the site to order ahead. Lots of parking, easy to get to since it’s right off the freeway. Will be back when I’m in the area.

They have a pretty clean environment and their subs are quite enjoyable. The tuna sub is good and they have also vegatarian options as well. The service is nice along with the staff.

I took my Dad here recently. Once upon a time it was my "go to" for lunch. I loved it. The sandwiches, and the variety of menu items. They use fresh local ingredients and they are pretty reasonably priced. However, they jumped on the SOY bandwagon a few years ago and I can no longer eat there. I do give them credit though for having allergens listed in on their menus and on their marque. To recap, if you can enjoy wonderful food and aren't allergic anything, go there. If you have allergies, steer clear. I miss it.

My favorite deli in SB. Menu is great. Build yourself bagels are my favorite. When you order on the phone make sure they take the order correct. I am a regular here, they made at least one mistake with my last 3 orders. Also, because of lack of vantilation it is always smokey inside and it will make you smell like grilled cheese.

The sandwiches are good, I'll go back again. The soda is good, natural ingredients real sugar and different flavors, I haven't seen that before but I liked it. They REALLY need to reorganize the menu like in a bad way. It was my first time and figuring out what is a sandwich, wrap or salad is confusing. How ever, on Google maps there menu is organized Soo much nicer and easy to figure out.

Terrible service. Went a few weeks ago, order was a mess. To fix it they gave me a card as a refund for the half sandwich. Went to use the card at another location, no money on the card. What? There are so many other great deli choices in town. Because I am stupid, I went back today. When I asked an employee to check my order, he just kept shaking his head. Sad. Then the same employee, yelled at me and told me to get out of the "online line". He then realized that he had yelled and added the word please. Please find a better deli. I wish I had better things to say. The food is actually good. The crew needs training on how to provide good customer service.

I ordered a create your own sandwich for lunch today while I am in Santa Barbara. Ordering online was smooth and price is reasonable. I did not pick up my order as it was picked up by another coworker. Once I received and opened my sandwich I was highly disappointed ☹️. I’m a very picky eater and that’s why I ordered a create your own. I think my order was very simple to follow. My sandwich had everything that I dislike on my sandwich😞😞😞. I had to like dissect my sandwich lol taking out the tomato, onion, pickles and the peppers. I am not someone who would throw away my food bc of it having this, so I just removed them. Sandwich was then good an I realized after a few bites it had mustard, which I also did not include in my order. The sandwich was a little soggy, that’s ok maybe was the lettuce. I will add my order and what my sandwich looked when removing the other ingredients. Disappointed but I still ate bc we don’t waste food here. Other than that the sandwich was ok 👍

I have been here a few times and I don't think I've ever had an enjoyable sandwich. I go going back every year, hoping that it's just a fluke but at this point I'm convinced it's not. The last time I got a sandwich here it was so soggy and watery. Honestly, very disappointing. I'm not joking there was like a pool of mayo and tomato juice lol. I'm sorry, I don't understand the hype.

It was the second time I online for pickup a tri-tip & salsa sandwich with the salsa on the side because I don't eat it right away, and both times it came with it on it, not on the side as ordered. It was so soggy that I couldn't even hold it together to eat it, and ended up throwing away because they don't follow directions on how you want your sandwich. Salsa makes bread soggy when you dont eat it right away. So unless its on the side, as ordered, or you end up with a soggy sandwich.

I’m hiring an attorney. I don’t know what this place is trying to pull but I’m onto their game. I have to modify my custody of my children because I brought them here once and they won’t stop begging for it every day. I don’t know what Javier is sprinkling on the sandwiches, but they’re better than anything. (I’m Hispanic, don’t panic). I don’t know what you guys have to prove but congratulations you won. Please, I can’t function like this nor can I afford to feed my kids these damn life changing sandwiches every freaking day. Im in therapy now that other deli’s won’t “scratch my itch”. My employer was buying our food for lunch, and he was having trouble with what button to press on the screen. When the cashier leaned over to help him, she tapped the highest percentage of tip, and then quickly processed the order. I had the chance to press the cancel, but it went by to fast for me to tap the screen. I told him righty there “the highest tip was pressed” and when he asked if he could go back, she said “it already went through”. After that she looked at me and said “you’ll get it next time”. She had round gold glasses, reddish hair, and a low ponytail. I am hoping that some justice can be done about this, because I am worried that she is doing this to others as well. My boss said that he won’t lose sleep over it, but it is a terrible thing. This happened today 12/5/25 at around 12:40pm I was wearing a red white and blue plaid button up, glasses, and have braids. My boss was wearing a grey polo, and glasses. And his other intern was wearing a hat, glasses, and a grey T-shirt. Other than that, the food was good. A great amount of food for the cost ( one salad could feed three! ) I went back and gave her an invitation to church, I am hoping that she won’t continue this.

This is the second time I get such an unpleasant experience Food is good but unfriendly staff. I always order from Carrillo St when at work and get my sauce, napkins and fork. I wouldn't like to go back to this place. Not sure if they treat Spanish customer different but it looks like they do.
