Heard about this place from a few neighbors and friends. We went there on a Saturday around 5pm. There wasn't a wait to be seated. There was some customers inside who'd have already ordered. We met terrific people here today. The staff was exceptional. I ordered chicken fried steak . It was fork tender and freshly made. My wife ordered a loaded BBQ baked potato and said it was delicious. That potato was huge. We are glad we decided to go in today. We will be back. Stop by and visit this gem of a restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

This place has made a huge come back. New owners enjoy serving you and it shows. They take the orders, sometimes cook the food, sometimes bring it out to the table. You get great conversation if you ask about the last vacation. The place is affordable. Delicious food. They have beer and take cash and credit. They have two side areas that you can rent for parties or family gatherings. Portions are perfect. Prices are what you would expect. Worth the drive for sure.

I had the chicken fried steak and this is absolutely the BEST chicken fried steak I've had in many years. Great flavor, very tender, and not too much breading. My wife had the fried catfish and it was perfectly done. Great texture, flaky, and crispy like it should be. Not greasy and soggy like some places. The pinto beans were amazing. This is one of our new favorites and will be a regular stop on our bi-monthly trip to Waco.

Food is good. Driving this far for a $12 hamburger ?? Not so much

My husband's friend recommended this place. We drove about 30 minutes to there and met my in laws. The woman working the register on Sat Oct The 15th was extremely rude and short with us. As soon as she started taking our order you could just see how miserable she was. So after she brought us our order it was wrong. 3 of us ordered the steak finger baskets and one a chicken fried steak. She brought 2 plates of chicken strips. I decided to go ahead and take it. My father in law wanted to wait for his steak fingers. She got rude with all of us and told my father in law since you had a change up ill bring it out when it's done. We never changed our order it was wrong. The chicken strip and steak fingers were good. The make n cheese was plain. It's like buying the generic box of Mac n cheese at the store. After we were done she did apologize and said that 3 people called in that day. I do understand that but you can't take it out on your customers. And she knew she was wrong or she wouldn't have apologized.

The new addition looks nice. However, the food has gone so far down hill. The service was rude and non existent. Use to tell everyone to come here, now....please stay away. The alcohol rules are so confusing. I got a beer from the cooler, was told by the cashier I had to go put it in a cup and drink it. Because it wasnt from the bar, across from the cooler?? Thought this was weird, but agreed. The "owner" (do not think it was the owner bc she was rude and had no communication skills) told me it was not allowed and asked me to leave, very rudely. She didn't care her employee misinformed me, but was rather taking her anger out on my friends and I. She refused to give me my entire order, and would not refund me for what was left out. Instead of just refunding the $3.20, yes that is all, she made a scene. She called the police emergency line, the sherrifs department, and sherrif himself (who was very cool, definitely voting for him). She wasted thousands of tax payer dollars bc she was having a bad day. The sherrif and his department apologized, but this business is horrible. Sad to see something fall so far. Will also be writing a BBB review. Thanks for reading.

Should really be a zero. They are extremely insensitive to autistic children. We weren’t even inside for about 5 mins and a sour woman had nerve enough to say we didn’t have control of our children. I wish I had known her name. Smh how shameful that we couldn’t even sit for 5 mins without some woman feeling some type of way about a child.

This place is definitely under new mngmnt. Stopped by to get 2 cheeseburgers, and i was extremely shocked @ quality of food. I don't even think salt was added to patty. No flavor. & prices seemed high. The fries were either old or ovetcooked. Also no kids menu ...had to order a regular cheeseburger for my 3 yr. Old 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️While its a great location for opportunity, it used to have great food~

My whole family came up to this restaurant yesterday. Instead of driving into town from Robinson we drove out Golinda because we heard the burgers were really good. Apparently the owner is the one who took our order. She asked my aunt what she wanted then Rudely interrupted her and asked for her name for the order. Then when it was my turn to order, I went to tell her that I was getting the bill. She rudely stopped me and said “what’s your name” gave her my name and mentioned again that it was all under one bill. Told her what me and my kids wanted. My aunt came back and was trying to tell her she needed the Togo order of chicken fried steak the she order- for the gravy to be on the side. She completely ignored her and told my mom to keep ordering. Then again, Rudely asked my Mom what all she wanted on her grilled chicken sandwich. Got my mom so upset to the point to where she didn’t even want to finish placing her order. I asked the lady “why are you being so rude?” She looked at me dumb founded and said “I didn’t know I was being rude” if THATS how you treat your customers while your staff is watching behind you…they are going to think that’s okay to treat the guests that come through the exact same way, and it is not! I was so offended I will never use my hard earned money in that establishment, EVER.

The atmosphere of the establishment is significantly diminished by the owner's unwelcoming behavior, which includes instances of her speaking harshly to both employees and customers. This contributes to a less than ideal ambiance. The food, appearing to be pre-frozen, fails to justify the pricing, which seems high for the quality provided. Service tends to lag notably in the presence of the owner, whereas the experience shifts to above average when she is absent. Disturbingly, there have been multiple instances observed where the female owner has harshly criticized employees to the point of tears. The owner's pattern of demeaning employees and showing disrespect to customers significantly tarnishes the dining experience. Additionally, the cleanliness of the establishment is brought into question by the presence of dead crickets littering at the entrance, further detracting from the overall impression.
