We had the catfish basket, a cheeseburger and chicken strips. All food was perfect. Staff was really great, courteous, met our every need. Atmosphere very family friendly. Looking forward to going back. Thank you!

Great job to the staff that was working this past Friday February 10th around 7pm ! We actually tried to go eat at Hemmingways Craft House at first, but we got treated horrible there. Their staff is rude. We didn't get asked if we wanted to eat or anything after sitting at the bar cause we didn't have a reservation but when a different couple came in with no reservation, they got offered a table but we didn't. So we didn't complain to the manager we just paid for our 2 drinks and left . So we ended up at Bonitaville and we were immediately greeted and made us feel special and let us sit anywhere we wanted. They had a packed house too. The waitress was so nice , young girl , very respectful and told us about the Valentines Special. We passed on it cause I was craving catfish . 😋. It was so flaky and delicious! We absolutely loved it . Also ice cold beers too. The patio was closed due to being cold but the waitress opened it up for us and turned on the lights so we could go outside and enjoy the view. It was our anniversary, so it made my wife so happy and felt special especially after the horrible experience at Hemmingways. Even the hostess, a young Hispanic girl came and asked if we needed anything else. Oh and the calamari was great too !! Thank you so much Bonnitaville for the great service. You guys really have a great staff ! They deserve a reward. We definitely will be coming back in the summer !

A friendly, family-owned and operated restaurant that had delicious food. The two young boys who were helping were the most polite and well-mannered young men wife come across recently. They talked with my 11 month old like she could understand them and she had a blast. The service was incredible; I don’t think 2 minutes went by without someone asking if we needed anything. The location is great too; right on the water with gorgeous views. The steak sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my entire life. The cali wrap, boom boom burger, and fried catfish were delicious as well. To top it off, the PK explosion ended the meal right with delicious brownies topped with chocolate sauce and ice cream. We’ll definitely be back the next time we are in the area. This restaurant was the highlight of our PK trip!

The crust was nice, flavorful, and crunchy. Just cooked to perfection and paired with their homemade tartar sauce, it was great. Their homemade hushpuppies and fries were also really enjoyable. Their Lazy H Burger was also really good. On our way out, the hostess pointed out their fish pond, tortoises, and reptiles for the kids to see. Our kids really enjoyed seeing that. It was a nice way to end our lunch.

We showed up on a Sunday at 1:00. We were excited to find a new place to eat on the lake. Apparently it has been there a while but we were unaware. We ordered their fried fish and it was very good! Going to go back again this weekend. The food was good but it was hard to over look the lack of cleanliness outside on the patio. They need to power wash and get it in shape so it looks as appealing as the food taste. Great concept, Im anxious to try some other food, but they just need to step it up a notch on cleanliness! I am hoping for good things for this spot and hopefully I was just there on an off day.

Great food and great people! Very happy with our meal and the staff! We have been coming here for years! We will keep coming back! It is also very clean too. The patio is shaded with plenty of seating. There needs to be more boat parking for people just wanting to eat at the restaurant. Website parking details are incorrect.

The catfish basket was good. The food came out really hot. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the service of our waitress. She was extremely slow, didn't get my order right and after 15 minutes my husband had to go to the bar and ask for the beer he ordered when we first arrived.

Ate here again the next weekend. Total bill was $12.95. Had sweet potato fries for $2.95, ice tea and fried pickles made up the rest of the bill. Again seems over priced but it is Possum Kingdom

Food and coffee was pretty good. Our orders were correct, food was brought quickly. Customer service was another matter. We brought a group of 7 people, and needed 2 tables pulled together. The staff wouldn't help us, but told us we could put the furniture in place.

Fantastic fish, great food I mean really really fantastic. The service however they seem to care more about the big top tables it must be the 18% gratuity. It took 20 minutes to get some one to take our order, 45 minutes to get out food and over thirty minutes for some one to get us a ticket and the only reason we got it that soon was because we found someone and told them we were ready to leave... I would love to eat here again one day but due to the service im not so sure I will.

we've eaten here twice before but our 3rd experience was quite different. We have twice ordered the catfish basket and they were very good. This time the fish had no flavor. They also had a good deal of grease oozing out. The fries were at best warm and tasted like they had been under the lamp awhile. And for those of you that use a credit card be aware that they will add their transaction fee onto your bill adding 3 percent. Dont think i will be back.

Must have dined on the same day as Calvin a few reviews down. I did understand the high prices being on the lake but service was horrible. We never ran out of drinks but their personality was lacking. Acted like we were putting them out. Again I understand help must be hard to find at the Lake but geez. Mashed potatoes seemed to be instant, three of us tried to stomach them with no luck. My buffalo chicken wrap was a huge tortilla I believe with 1 chicken strip. Since I split mine with my daughter I must of got the bad half. It had 4 dime size pieces of chicken in it. She split her California club with me it was a bit better than mine on amount of chicken but not much. Salad, beans, and soft taco we're decent. Maybe we went on an off day for the girls and cook but a little improvements could go a long way.

We wanted to lime the place. We read the reviews and wanted a restaurant with a view of the lake. When we arrived we realized that no employees were wearing masks.my wife asked about it and was politely told that they were not required to. So we thought lets eat outside to avoid being inside with others. However outside was swarming with flies due to their lottle exhibit of tortoises and prairie dogs. It was bad enough that we decided to eat inside instead. One trip to the bathroom changed our minds and we settled the bill with only drinks and left. Perhaps it was a bad day to visit, but they made a bad first impression on us. Staff was nice and professional acting, we just could not risk eating there wondering what it was we could not see after we saw what we did. If you decide to go here, i hope your experience is better.

Don’t let the patio picture fool you, this place serves poor quality food for above average prices. I wouldn’t even consider this undesired property a “lakefront restaurant.” Since no shade was provided in the outdoor seating area we were stuck with seating inside a small closed off room with no visual of the lake. I did however get to look into a fish tank which seemed to have not been cleaned since 2015. If the food was superior I could have easily overlooked the un-kept atmosphere but all together was an unpleasant experience.

Picked up chicken strips to go. Two pieces of flat chicken and about 15 fries. No bread. Unbelievable for $15. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I know it’s the lake, but good lord.

Our waitress was very nice! However, that’s about the only positive thing about our experience. Bland, senior citizen buffet quality food. Shrimp tasted like it was microwaved & barely warmed. Catfish, fries, chicken nothing was seasoned or even salted. Also, quite expensive for this type of quality.

That was probably the only thing I can say I was pleased with. Husband got fried fish and shrimp basket, which he said was just okay. Everything is overpriced. Plus we waited a solid 20-30 minutes for our food to arrive cold and dry. I had the supreme nachos with brisket personally, and the meat was definitely not brisket, the cheese was 'melted' shredded cheese that was cold. Also the meat was super dry. The alcohol is exclusively wine based or beer. The servers did a good job. It was a my friend's birthday and we asked for ice cream for her, which arrived to the table already melted.

Water and tortilla soup was good. Was waited on quickly and food was out quick, however rice tasted like it was instant rice from a box. Enchiladas were cold - tortillas dry, chicken chewy. Beans not much better. They were having a ribeye special, half the steak was gristle and was very tough in general. Not any competition that I know of, perhaps that explains the food.

Incredibly disappointing experience! Took the family here for supper. We ordered 2 burgers $10.99 each, kids catfish $6.95 and chicken fagitas at $16.99. The burgers and the chicken were both of the Tyson frozen "food" variety. They were disgusting not to mention they were priced as if they actually cooked it. Do yourself a favor and travel a tenth of a mile further and enjoy a proper meal at the Rockin S Bar &a Grill.

The only explanation for all these 5-star reviews is that the employees and all their friends were asked to talk up the place. We went there yesterday, and everything about the place was sub-par. It was about 100 degrees outside, so we sat inside, a tiny, cramped room overlooking the lake. The first stool, then the second stool, were crooked. I thought I was going to slide forward the whole time. Then, there's the prices. $15.95 for a CFS? Same for a catfish basket? Seems high to me, and I'm from the big city. The only interactions we had with the elusive staff were to take our order. We didn't know who our waitress was, because so many different women were ignoring us. I've had better CFS in a cheap diner. And it didn't cost $15.95. Literally tasted like it came frozen from a box, topped with gravy made from a package. Served with crummy, frozen onion rings that were soaked with grease because the grease wasn't hot enough when they fried it. My mom's catfish was not much better, and also high-priced. Again, fries were soggy and limp from grease. No one came by to check on us. I had to flag someone down to refill my tea, which was almost clear, it was so weak. No lemon was offered with it. Finally, we were ready for the check. The staff has eye-contact avoidance down to a high art, so we waved down the bored bartender. Once we got the $39 tab (!!!), it took almost 10 minutes for her to take my credit card. Don't waste your time. Food was obviously all frozen and/or pre-cooked. Mediocre. Tea was bad. Service was nonexistent. And it was priced like we were eating in Uptown Dallas or a concept bar in Addison. I tipped less than 20% for the first time in years. My mom found the owner and told her of the lousy service. She was apologetic. No need to be. We won't grace the doors of this joint again. I guess they charge for the patio and the view. Avoid.

Food was AWFUL even for lake bar food. Soggy fried shrimp, unseasoned over cooked fried catfish nuggets, not fillets!! Got my own drinks, my own refills, my own to go box, my own plastic wear, I'm not even sure why who we tipped or for what. Small menu, the waitress who was barely dressed in pajamas and a cut off T said they were understaffed for the "big menu" all the while sitting at the bar with 5 other waitresses.

A followup to my review. I definitely will not go back here. After eating here, when I got home my stomach began to get very queasy. Thought I was going to throw up, but it stayed down. But the next morning I had severe diarrhea. I guess the greasy fish messed up my stomach. Avoid this place. Quality and taste is taking a nosedive. Plus no one is wearing masks!!!!
