Opinions de Paradise Bistro & Coffee Co. Granbury
This place is absolutely outstanding. The food fabulous, the staff amazing. The atmosphere, beautiful, the chefs went above and beyond for me. They do not have crepes on the menu, but he made some specifically for me. And it is the most delicious crepe I've ever had. 20 out of 10.
We came to town on a weekend getaway. Liked this place so much we ate breakfast here both days. Coffee was great, omelet was fantastic, and even the skillet potatoes were cooked well and not cold. The atmosphere is cozy and local. We'll eat here again if in town.
Excellent service, seating, meals and beverages with courthouse view. Migas and traditional breakfast were perfect as were the strawberry mango Italian cream soda and generous cup of coffee.
Food is amazing! Coffee is even better! I am a huge advocate for the Creme Brulee drink but everything I've had is 100% top-notch!
Excellent place on the square for breakfast! Staff is very friendly and super helpful. The place is small but plenty of places to sit inside and a few outside. We were hungry so we got omlets which came with home fries and excellent bread! Thick wheat toast and we got a muffin that was moist and flavorful. Made the start of the day easy!
This was my husband’s and I first time in Granbury. We went to Paradise Bistro for some coffee and breakfast. Inside was so cute! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was perfectly portioned and tasted delicious. Our tea and coffee was also perfect. We will definitely be back!
I came here to order a coffee and the service was excellent. They don’t necessarily do latte art, but my espresso drink was good, definitely not an overly roasted burned roast. The ambiance has a cute small town vibe with well laid out menus with what appear to be some decent breakfast and lunch options.
Best food and really good coffee! WAFFLES ARE THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD! Pancakes are also really light and fluffy and delicious. The staff is really friendly and the prices are good! We stop here every time we go to Granbury! It does get a little crowded early mornings but it’s worth it and there’s plenty of seats outside too.
Should you find yourself Hungry while in Granbury head on down to the Historic Square for some GREAT dining options. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful if you are unsure what to order. We love coming in to sit down and enjoy the amazing breakfast options or lunch (depending on the time). Grab a cup of coffee or a specialty drink and just enjoy the atmosphere while gathering with friends. Plenty of parking options so you don’t have to miss out on this little gem. Park behind the building in a large lot or you can park inside the square at the courthouse.
Food was absolutely amazing, eggs were perfect, my blueberry waffle was fantastic and THE BACON!!!!! Wow the thick cut bacon, not sure if it was maple or what they did to it but it was incredibly delicious. My wife said it was maybe one of the best if not the best pancake she has ever had. She loved the Caramel Macchiato and the sodas are self serve. The weather was cool enough to sit outside and the ambiance was just great. Service was also on point and the price was reasonable. We highly recommend !!
Finally had time to stop in for breakfast at this cool place on the square. Cassidy took my order and was very friendly. Everything on the menu looked great and decided on the Paradise Avocado Toast and Island Spice coffee. Avocado toast was great, egg cooked perfect over easy and avocado was fresh. Loved the Island Spice coffee. Highly recommend stopping in for breakfast if you are in the area!
We had breakfast vouchers to use here from our stay at a local B&B. You order at the counter then seat yourself. There are a few tables out front and a tight fit of tables inside as well. Our first morning we ordered the waffle breakfast. My husband commented that the waffle tasted like the boxed ones at Costco. My scrambled eggs were slightly runny, but the bacon was good. The next morning I tried the breakfast sandwich and it was so good! The wheat berry bread was delicious. I also got the coffee cake and it was very good. We had the Worlds Collide espresso drink and it was really good too.
New to Grandbury, husband and I didn't know where to eat. Walking the square, we came across this little coffee shop for breakfast. We got there early, and there was limited seating, but we found a spot closer to the register. It's a seat yourself and order at the counter, menu is on the wall. I had the one waffle, scrambled eggs and 2 strip of bacon with coffee Americana. My husband had the breakfast sandwich and added sausage. Everything was delicious except the coffee. Taste like simple Folgers, in my opinion. The eggs were fluffy and flavorful, the bacon was absolutely delicious, and the waffle was lite and airy. My husband enjoyed his food ate the whole thing. We will definitely stop in again and, this time, maybe try another flavor of coffee. Thank you!
It’s a cute little shop with delicious pancakes, hot coffee, omelettes, eggs, and bacon. The vibe is very townie, downtown. It’s cute and bustling. Not great for large parties. One woman settled into the one of the few tables meant for 5+ so our family had to sit at two tables. They also didn’t do a very good job of timing our food. 1/2 the table ate while the other 1/2 waited.
Brunch with my friend Andrea. She ordered the breakfast sandwich which she loved sooo much. And here you'll see a photo of the avocado toast. It tasted wonderful, but the appearance of the food was different than the website based photo. Wish the bistro had a bit more pop of color of life in it and artistry. Loved this little spot for a lonnng time.
Cute place but they really need a crash course on coffee. Almost ever coffee “no no” is common practice here. Batch grinding espresso is bad for the grinder, the burrs, and the espresso. It heats up the burrs which causes them to wear down quicker plus it heats the espresso adding a burnt taste. Not to mention it’s loud to listen to for 2-3 minutes straight. The milk steaming isn’t right either. It shouldn’t be screaming the whole time unless it’s a watery nondairy or thicker like heavy cream. But it doesn’t matter what’s being steamed. I wish they would use local whole beans and would teach the employees to dial in. I don’t know if they have ever dialed in, or replaced parts that are regular maintenance on the machine/grinder.
While looking to try a new brunch spot, I came across Paradise and it looked to have good reviews and it was one of the few restaurants on the square we hadn’t tried. Since it was a Sunday it was pretty crowded and with it being seat yourself the only spot we were able to grab was a tight little spot in the corner right by the front door. I was excited for the avocado toast only to be let down by a smorgasbord of ingredients on top of a soggy piece of bread. It was so oily it was making my stomach churn; so, I didn’t finish it but did pick off some of the avocado and cheese. The fruit cup was nothing special, just your regular melon melody sitting in liquid. My White Chocolate Iced Latte though was really good. My boyfriend ordered one of the breakfasts that came with pancakes and bacon and he did said it was good and finished it all. He did compare his “Americana” however, to “Maxwell House Drip coffee” which was incredibly underwhelming considering it’s a “coffee shop”. I did really like the atmosphere, the dimmer lights and total coffee shop vibes; I could definitely see my self taking my laptop up there during the week and quietly working. Overall it wasn’t horrible and I think we will give it another shot and try different things given it has good reviews from others. Maybe we just had a one off situation.
Potatoes fries were a little over cooked and when I asked for a paradise turtle iced coffee with light ice they deliberately doubled it. During my time sitting in the restaurant, I saw a member of staff squirt cream on her hand and lick it off, then put the cream in the fridge, rub her nose with her hands, and then go back to making drinks and food .
Paradise Bistro & Coffee is such a cute spot with wonderful food and great coffee, which makes this so disappointing. If you go on a Sunday for breakfast or brunch, you’ll likely see open tables and think there’s no wait. But what you don’t realize is that the kitchen is buried in catering and to-go orders. Even when the dining room isn’t full, the wait for food can be well over an hour because in-person guests are pushed aside. It’s sad to see a great local place lose sight of the customers who helped build their reputation. This has happened to us multiple times now, and it feels like they care more about catering than the guests sitting in front of them. They could fix this by separating or limiting catering during busy dine-in times or by holding spots in the ordering cue for dine in customers, but until then, we’ll be choosing other great options on the square that still make their in-person guests a priority.
