Best Italian place in Arlington. Fresh amazing food, good wine selection, and the staff and owners are friendly and great people. Great atmosphere for a date night, family dinner, or a pizza with friends.
My daughter and I visited this restaurant a couple months ago. It was a slow Tuesday evening. The atmosphere was perfect, wonderful music, lighting and temperature. Our server, Lola was amazing! She was very attentive, and also a very lovely person, inside and out. Our meals were delicious. I had caesar salad and a pizza. My daughter has the lasagna. The salad was the best I've tasted, and everything was delicious. We will be back and ask for Lola!😊❤
This is my new FAVORITE restaurant! Family owned with the very best service. Both times we’ve eaten here, the owners checked on the patrons making certain the guests were pleased. The food is not only wonderful and prepared to perfection, it’s very reasonably priced. They have a good wine selection and friendly wait staff. We will be back many times.
Our first time here!! From the moment you walk through the door, greeted with lovely enthusiasm and kindness by Gina, followed by amazing cuisine served by Lola. I can't boast enough about our experience, the food, and the gorgeous atmosphere. 5 star dining experience in a relaxed and casual, authentic environment. I can't wait to come back. I recommend this perfect hidden gem to anyone looking for exquisite Italian dining combined with friendly and genuine hospitality.
The food is absolutely amazing all the dishes are made with care and authentic cuisine , the atmosphere is also very homey and comfortable and professional very nice relaxing romantic place. The customer service here was also impeccable, especially from Jay, Lola, and Gina. 10 out of 10 I recommend everyone come here. If you like authentic Italian food and great service this is the place!
My server was amazing today! He gave me the warmest welcome and an amazing experience. He was super sweet and made sure to see if I needed anything. GREAT JOB! Thank you so much, Jasyn!
Decided to try this restaurant on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised. Very nice decor, ownership was very friendly and service was good. Our kids loved the pizza! We tried and enjoyed the salmon special and the scallops over risotto. The calamari appetizers was different and delicious. Good wine selection. The adventure on a Friday paid off...we will be back!!Great food and service! Fresh ingredients, fresh tomatoes! Felt like in Italy! Good options on the menu, Good music and place.
If you are looking for a 5-star restaurant where you are welcomed like family and can relax while enjoying a good meal, then Spazzio's is for you. We are new to Arlington area and exploring a variety of eateries. So far, this restaurant is among our top 5!
A true gem in Arlington, not just because the food is consistently incredibly high quality and fresh, but because the family who owns and operates this place are top shelf people! They effortlessly make you feel at home and well taken care of. Reasonably priced, too especially considering the quality and thoughtfulness of each dish. The flavors and atmosphere can’t be beat! I crave Spazzio’s often!
This was a nice find for dinner with friends. It has an intimate and professional atmosphere, and the food was delicious. One of the few Italian restaurants where I left feeling full but not stuffed and gross afterwards. This is a direct reflection of the high-quality ingredients they use.
This was our first time at this place Joe was our server hexwas great the food was great the atmosphere was great ten out of ten we will be back.
Went in last night and I feel obligated to give a review. This is by far the best italian resturant in the North Arlington area. Me and my fiance have been searching for good italian food since we moved here, and have been dissapointed each and every time. Well we have finally found our spot! Only thing odd here is there was just one other couple dining inside when we were there, 7pm. Everyone else is missing out!
Absolutely LOVE this place. The food especially their cheese sticks are to DIE FOR!! Always a 10/10 experience
This was our first time here. We’re from Philadelphia and have eaten at many fine Italian restaurants. The food and atmosphere were superb!!! Everything was cooked to perfection! I had the salmon with veggies with basil pesto, and it was absolutely delicious! For dessert, we shared the lemon cake. Lola, our hostess was so friendly and accommodating. We will be coming back tomorrow night! I saw that the restaurant has won awards for best restaurant 4 or 5 years in a row! Anyone who wrote a bad review must be crazy! Please try this place. It’s awesome and so is the music!
Food was delicious. I got chicken Alfredo and my boyfriend got shrimp scampi. Both were cooked perfectly. Spinach dip was excellent as well. Our waiter she was so sweet and on point with everything. I didn’t get her name but she was excellent. Great experience!
We got a gift cert from our realtor in Florida when we sold our house to move to Arlington. We never received the physical copy of the gift cert so the restaurant didn't know whether we had already used it. I assured them we had not and they honored the cert which was really kind. I ordered takeout of lasagna, chix calabrese, Caesar salads, cheese bread and cheesecake The food was ready in no time and SO GOOD. The portions were huge so I was able to eat the chix dish for 3 meals. We will definitely visit again!! YUM!!
We stopped in here for lunch. Service was good. Everything appeared clean. Low lighting quiet place for conversation It would be a nice location for a date, romantic. We ate chicken caccitore and took a chicken Alfredo home to go. Everything was fresh cooked and salad was crisp. Rolls were hot.
This... This place is phenomenal. My wife and I went by looking up great food in our area, since we were in the neighborhood, and immediately fell in love with the friendly service, the live music, and the absolutely INCREDIBLE food. If you are anywhere within an hour of this restaurant, you NEED to try it. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and save room for dessert... you will thank me later.
No wait on a Thursday night. Owner was friendly and put together a gluten free dish for me with shrimp and artichokes in a garlic butter sauce. Husband got a spicy seafood pasta. Mussels were the best he's ever had.
This is a fantastic restaurant. It is our family's favorite Italian restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is second to none.
This was an absolutely amazing experience! The food and the service were outstanding. The owner Gina was such a beautiful soul and she gave us an amazing experience considering they were short staffed. Would definitely recommend this place over and over again to everyone. Will definitely be back next time we come to town.
Beef stroganoff, brushetta, and cheesecake were best I've had in years. All my food came out in 10 minutes!! Service was unbelievably fast and pristine. Best Italian in at least the last decade. Thank you.
Went in to try it since we just moved near by, I usually grade if a restaurant knows how to flavor their food if their appetizer tastes good. I’ve eaten at many places that makes fried calamari and I’ll have to say, this is one of the best I’ve ever had. The spaghetti sauce and meatballs were seasoned perfectly unlike some other places where the sauce tasted just like tomato water. I’ll definitely be back. Looking forward to trying different dishes there.
I meant to do this review about a month ago but here we are. This place has the best atmosphere, the people the music and the food. I had the Chicken Calabrese. 5 out of 5 loved the sauce. It was more than enough to satisfy my hunger for lunch and i even took some home for dinner later. Love the server I wish I could remember her name, very prompt and attentive. Would be a beautiful date night spot.
Best Caesar Salad ever!!! I did not leave a morsel and had to take most of my main dish home. The Eggplant Parmigiano was very good with plenty! Our waiter, Sammy, was so friendly and personable with helpful suggestions to meet our likes. We will definitely enjoy a return!
Now that was a damn good pizza. Finally found Arlington pizza spot. I’ll be back for more!
We had such a great dinner last week. Service and food were top notch. I ended up needing something after we left the restaurant management was very helpful! Highly recommend this restaurant, we will be back!
I'm originally from NY and have been to many Italian restaurants all over Texas. Spazzios is by far the best food I've had while living here. Taste and quality are equal, if not better than, NY style Italian.
One feels as if they've been transported to quaint cafe in Italy here. Just what was needed after long business trip. My Son & I enjoyed the burst of flavor from the Perfectly Prepared Fried Calamari to the Shrimp Scampi, Symphony of Flavors, quietly sneaking up on one's taste buds; exploding scrumptious flavor, to Basking in the after bite!!! Bottle of Classico Chianti was Excellent choice. Son, asked our Wonderfully Informative Server, what would they suggest in this wine. Definitely 5 Star. Totally worth the cost!!! We will be Back.
First time. We ordered a delivery. The food is delicious!
I'm so sad that I didn't find this place until 4 years after moving right next to it. The food here is absolutely amazing, it feels as if the chefs take real pride in what they are serving you. Service is very professional and warm. Ive had the mozzarella sticks, pizza, and penne pesto. I have never tasted better mozzarella sticks; they weren't overly chewy like you get from a lot of places. The mozz had distinct flavor and perfect consistency, was very fresh. The pizza is easily one the best in DFW and would rival any of the pizza hotspots in the US. Very high quality ingredients. This place is a hidden gem amongst the overwhelming amount of lackluster options in North Arlington. I'm really upset I only found out about it just a week before I move away. The prices are more than reasonable for what they are offering.
This is the real deal Italian restaurant you've been looking for. Hidden gem of Arlington. Don't miss out.
This place is such a hidden gem! The service is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the food—wow, so good! It's a cute, family-owned spot that just feels like home. Oh, and leave room for dessert! They make them from scratch, and trust me, they're delicious. If you're looking for a great meal and a chill vibe, you’ve got to check this place out.
Delicious italian cusine. We arrived and we were greeted and seated in a timely manner. Low light setting sets the mood for a relaxed atmosphere that gives chill vibes. They have an open bar. Will be dining here again. Everything was really flavorful and you have to try the meatball appetizer!
If you're looking for a romantic dinner spot with amazing food and service, look no further than this restaurant! I recently went there with my date for Valentine's Day, and we had an incredible experience from start to finish. Our waiter was top-notch, offering great wine recommendations that perfectly complemented our entrées. Speaking of which, the food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes, and it was cooked to perfection. My date had the Italian breaded chicken with lemon butter fettuccine, and they loved it. The salad was also a great start to the meal, with fresh greens and a delicious dressing that left us wanting more. What really made our experience special, however, was the atmosphere. The restaurant has a cozy and intimate feel that's perfect for a romantic night out. We felt like we had the place to ourselves, and the dim lighting and soft music added to the ambiance. Overall, I can't recommend this restaurant enough. If you're looking for a special place to take your significant other for a date night or special occasion, this is definitely the place to go. From the amazing food to the fantastic service and romantic atmosphere, it's truly an experience you won't forget.
Excellent spot! The Calamari, House Salad, Ribeye special, Gelato and Crème Brûlée were all wonderful!
High quality Italian food. Very tasty, a little pricey, but way better ingredients than a lot of local Italian restaurants. Cheesy alfredo with tender chicken and giant noodles (don't remember what they were called). I would order that again. The bread they bring out is light and fluffy, not dense. Husband had fusilli capri and said it was very flavorful and he loved the mozzarella bits and roasted garlic. Unique dessert... Orange vanilla creme brulee was smooth! The music was...romantic comedy-esque. Like a soundtrack of everything Kate Hudson has been in since the early 2000s. So, chill atmosphere.
Boy did we find a jewel in Arlington, Texas. My family and I were traveling through Dallas and we searched for an Italian place to eat and let me tell you we will be back to this place as everything we ordered was fresh and super delicious. (Linguine Pescatore, veggie lovers pizza was really good and i had my doubts.) The service was on point. They gave us time to order while not feeling rushed and was prompt to ask how things were and fill our drinks.
Easily one of the best spots in North Arlington for great Italian food. The restaurant is fairly low-key, but still nice enough to impress any guests you may bring. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable, both with the food and the wine. Their dishes range from your standard pastas to pizzas, and all the way up to some delectable signature dishes...I have yet to try a meal there that wasn't amazing. I splurged on the special (Scallops Risotto), and I'm so glad I did...but even the basic spaghetti and meatballs will win you over, trust me.
Enjoyed my birthday dinner here last year. The food and service were terrific
Super good. Seriously, this was one of the best meals I had in quite a while. I had the bruschetta to start. It’s a little different here with capers and feta cheese. Amazing combination. Then, I had one of their special, the lobster linguini. Apparently it is a special almost every day by popular demand...and I know why. I don’t think I could think of a better dish and it is very well executed! The food and wines are great but it’s never only about the food. The atmosphere, the service, the owners are just as great. New favorite spot in Arlington? Probably.
The food was really tasty. I had the chicken cacciatore. My date had the seared scallops and they were both very good. The music was very pleasant as well. Not too loud.
As a person who prefers cheap dishes because honestly, I'm not hard to please, food-wise...Spazzio's is worth the little bit of extra money (it'll still be about $20 with a drink and a tip, if I remember correctly, for one person). I've had the stromboli both times, and both times it has been amazing. The decor and ambiance make it feel nice; there's an area for live music - that would make it even more enjoyable, I'm sure. But for me, it's a good place to have a delicious lunch when I'm feeling like a little upgrade over the standard out-to-lunch fare.
Exceeded expectations! Everything was fresh and seasoned to perfection! I highly recommend the calamari as a starter. Reasonably priced wine list as well.
For the past five years I've drove pass this place not knowing what I was missing. The staff was amazing from the time you open the door even after you leave you'll still feel the love from the family owned business. I was surprised at how great the lasagna was from taste, presentation, and aroma. The bread, the bread, the bread was my favorite overall. Price fits the food. Your getting your monies worth in these critical financial times. I ate it all before I could take a picture. Shall return and bringing my people with me.
FINALLY... an authentic Italian restaurant 🤌 Our server (Joe) was kind, attentive, and personable. They have a solid wine selection, true Italian recipes and a very relaxing atmosphere. Ps. Save room for desserts, you won't be disappointed.
Wow a secret little hidden gem..❤️ This place was deeeelightful! Food was fantastic! Atmosphere - wow amazing! Gina the bartender was amazing.. she knew everyone by name! Great wine, she was very knowledgeable! We will definitely be back ❤️
I have been meaning to post a review here for way too long. Absolutely love this place. The staff and owners are amazing people and from my first time in they made me feel like family. I travel to DFW for work quite often and have made it a point to stop here at every visit. My favorite restaurant in the area and the food is fantastic! I always try something new on their menu each visit and have never been disappointed. Thank you Gina and Ardi for such an amazing experience and restaurant!
Visited 1-9-26 Worked down the street for 5+ years and just never stopped by.. craved pizza today and they cured the crave.. Ordered a small meat lovers and coke zero. Pizza was thin and full of flavor In every bite. Most definitely coming back during dinner hours to try a pasta dish.. and most definitely will be coming back for lunch in the future
This restaurant has one amazing quality that every restaurant should have: Consistency! No matter what I order the flavors are amazing. The scallops and risotto was a special tonight. Wow! Gina's Special is an off the menu dish that is truly amazing. It is a Parmesan crusted chicken breast with tagliatelle, capers, and a cream sauce. always good. The Penne Arriabata is spicy but WOW, such amazing flavor. This restaurant is an Arlington hidden gem. Try the chocolate explosion cake or the lemon cello cake for dessert . Super good. It is worth the drive for lunch or dinner.
Pleasant and cozy, and the food is truly amazing! I have no idea why this place isn’t packed all the time. The scallops were PERFECT, as was the risotto. We enjoyed a Limoncello cake for dessert—the perfect light and tangy complement to a wonderfully filling Italian meal. Great spot for a business lunch, dinner or date.
My first time here and went for lunch. It was quiet this day but....... That service and food were both outstanding. The food is very authentic and I know this since my grandmother was from Italy. You could easily drive by this location off 360 in Arlington in a shopping center but it would be your loss. The Italian sausage was a bit spicy but I was warned by the owner and it was perfect and so was the very authentic pasta. The dish I'm talking about is Penne Arrabbiata. I have to admit, it was hard to make a decision as everything that came out of the kitchen during our meal looked awesome. So Mangia at Spazzio's.
I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful evening and the delicious meal. The Tiramisu was a truly excellent dessert. Also, I wanted to specifically commend Joe for his outstanding service. He was a fine gentleman and provided great service throughout the evening. Thank you again for everything. Best regards, Joseph
I'm an Exuctive Chef and owner of 4 cajun restaurants in Louisiana for 35 years and have searched for an outstanding restaurant in Dallas and surrounding areas and this is it folks..... The Pasta is outstanding and rivals mine!!! Jason Evans was outstanding in the service and very knowledgeable about the menu. What a great representation of the owners and management...
This place is amazing! I have not eaten better Italian food anywhere! (Sorry Nana.) The atmosphere is inviting, the service was incredible ( thank you Lola.) I had the salmon special with pesto and asparagus fried potatoes and carrots. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the vegetables done al dente. But the dessert. The dessert was a culinarily delight. I had the crème brûlée and it was the creamiest with a taste of orange in the glazed sugar that was the most unexpected treat it teetered on divine. If you are unable to tell I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. I am only sorry that I am from Pennsylvania and can’t dine here every night! There are at least 8 other entrees I was so wanting to try.
Not one complain with the service or food! The selection is great. The food tasted fresh and you can tell the cook prepared the food with care. We were served by Jaysn who checked on us often and ensure we were taken care of. I had the Capellini Gamberi, yum! If you’re wanting a nice meal/lunch, this is a great place for Italian food! Ensure you go when they’re opened so check the hours before.
Perfect Date Night - Upscale, intimate atmosphere with decorative wine bottles and cork host stand. This is a full service restaurant and bar, excellent service all around. We came for the ricotta cheese pizza, and also ordered their margherita pizza. The personal pizzas came out fast, neapolitan style thin crust, beautiful presentation of the margherita pizza, with full bodied flavor. Note: Large pizzas are take out only. Our server was new, but was very attentive, and got the answers to our questions. The crabcake appetizer and sea scallops risotto from their specials were noteworthy. Suggestion: From a training standpoint, management would be wise to allow new servers to sample the menu, so that they can identify by sight and suggest dishes to patrons.
Starting with the service, Sam was awesome! Constantly checking up on my wife and I! Very friendly and social! The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Everything from the fresh house salads, to the creamy ceaser! The mozzarella carozza’s have got to be the creamiest mozzarella sticks ever! The lobster linguine and the pescatore AMAZING!!! Got a cheesecake to go! Best cheesecake I’ve ever had!!! We’ll definitely be back!!!
Neighborhood gem! If you are in the area be sure to enjoy some Italian food at Spazzio's and ask for Sammy to be your server. We started with the crab cakes (a special not on the everyday menu) then she enjoyed the lamb (also not on the everyday menu) while I feasted on the veal Tuscany. During our first two courses we enjoyed a bottle of wine. Then, we wrapped up with the cannoli and coffee. Exemplary service throughout. Loved everything we tried excepting the dressing on the house salad (taste specific).
Went into town for a business trip. We found Spazzios and had the best experience ever. The food was delicious. We all tried each others food and all were equally divine! The owner (Gia’s) sat us and gave us the warmest customer service. I had Gia’s favorite, which is what is most requested. We also indulged in crème brûlée! Absolutely. The. Best!!!!
I know I've reviewed this place before, but somehow didn't post. Always made from scratch excellent dishes. The cheese sticks are fantastic. The hanger steak was cooked exactly to order. The pappardelle pasta was cooked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The only knock is the wines tend to be a little steep. Perhaps a house wine would be appreciated.
Grandma's meatball: The cheesy corn meal that comes with the meatballs is on another level Great flavor Tender and juicy My mom "Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh! " Chicken Saltimbocca: The angle hair pasta was amazing and worked very well the the chicken. With its wine sauce topped with bacon and mozzarella you can't go wrong Lasagna: The sauce within an on the lasagna was made from scratch and you can tell great crust on top with plentiful of cheese that's melts in you mouth Great place a little pricey if you're trying to stay on budget but will definitely come back and take my grandma
The wife and I haven't eaten out in a long time. Seems like these days, more often than not, the service stinks and food is just as bad. Decided to run into Spazzio's just because what the heck. Very happy we did. We both ordered a pizza and had calamari for an appetizer. Both were outstanding and the service was just as good. With 2 beers, glass of wine, and tip we spent 100.00. So its not cheap but at least it was very good.
Just finished eating at Spazzio’s and the restaurant is beautiful inside. Very nice decor and lighting. The salad with the house dressing was very good and the calamari was delicious. The only downside for me was the lack of flavor in their penne pesto pasta. The sun dried tomatoes were little gems in the dish but the chicken and sauce were very bland. I would still highly recommend the restaurant but I would definitely order something different next time. My husband’s Spaghetti and meatballs were very good he said.
I definitely recommend this place. I'm not sure if it is so new that they are still finding their groove. My work group goes to lunch together every Friday. We came here to check it out and were told that they wouldn't split checks for the table of 12, and that next time we need to reserve ahead for this large group. We decided to stay even though it wasn't a warm greeting. The salad course was a bit wanting but the bread was delicious. Those that ordered the house dressing, a tomato basil, loved it. The other dressings could use something to make them better. Not sure if they were bottled or fresh made like the tomato basil. The main meal was stellar. We all ordered different dishes, of course and no one was disappointed with their meal. I ordered the Fettuccini Carbonara. The noodles were wide noodles and the pasta looked and tasted freshly made. The ingredients in the pasta were perfect and the flavor was out of this world. All in all, I'd definitely go back and as a former server myself understand the stress of taking on a large group.
When walk in the door you are greeted by a friendly staff. The atmosphere is nice, and the back ground music helps drowns out the conversation of the other guest.
The food was good and the waitress did the best she could as it appeared she was the only one serving all tables. My only complaint is I had to to wash my hands in the mens restroom as the women's restroom completely ran out of soap and paper towels. They could have a bit more staff on hand.
First time here and it was pretty good!! I got the Caesar salad because I wanted something fresh and my husband got the Penne Arabiata. He really enjoyed it, even though it’s a tad spicy, which he didn’t mind! I enjoyed the salad a lot because the dressing was a bit different than most Caesars and had a sweetness to it. The bruschetta was super yummy! The service was good on a Wednesday evening around 5:30pm and we enjoyed our servers. The only thing is the price - it’s a bit pricier than we’d like but it was good! Would come here again more for a fancy dinner than a causal night out.
Original review below but downgrading my review after the last several visits and honestly not sure if I'd return. This used to be a favorite but the quality and taste have really fallen short lately. I understand and empathize that costs have gone up across the board. I'm disappointed that cut corners resulted in an overpriced and underwhelming menu - smaller portions, less flavor... just not worth it like before. But I'm shocked at the added fees! Charging a credit card fee? On top of increasing prices AND reducing portions and quality? Check out Moni's instead. Great North Arlington find, especially when you are tired of chains. Good food, service and atmosphere. Laid back, unassuming, and smart. Prices are on higher end but you will appreciate the originality.
Really good food. Good service. First time there. Birthday celebration. But house wine was $25 per glass. Absolutely ridiculous and a complete deal breaker to return. They were out of the house wine and didn't offer to give us the house wine price. I also just realized that the receipt showed that we were charged a $10 fee for using a credit card and we were never notified that there was a "convenience fee".
I ordered the shrimp scampi but didn't really enjoy it since I'm not a fan of angel hair pasta. The chicken Alfredo, however, was good, although it could use a bit more seasoning.
My family used to love this restaurant and have taken friends and family when in town. 3 years later something has changed. I recommended to a friend and we’d tried lunch today. I have to say the main dish was pretty tasteless. Chicken piccata and chicken Alfredo. Tasted like store bought sauce and tasteless chicken. So disappointing and expensive for what we got. Sad to say we won’t be back!
I was around the area on a business meeting. This was the closest option for a comforting pasta. I ordered cheese tortellini That's the to go quantity.. taste is ok'ish.. so not worth the price. It was 14$ came with a side salad n bread. Il stick to my Olive garden for Italian fix thank you.
A Mixed Bag with Room for Improvement I had high hopes for Spazzio’s after seeing glowing reviews on the local foodies page. The experience started out well — our server was friendly and attentive when we first sat down and when our food arrived. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill as the restaurant got busier. After our food was delivered, our server became noticeably absent. We had planned to order dessert, but after waiting 15 to 20 minutes without a single check-in, we gave up. It was frustrating, especially because I had really been looking forward to trying the tiramisu. As for the food, it was a mixed experience: The Arrabiata was overwhelmingly spicy — to the point where it was almost inedible. The Chicken Parm was just okay — nothing special. The house salad was drowning in dressing, but the Caesar salad was a standout — probably the best I’ve ever had. The complimentary bread was bland and forgettable. One thing to note: even though the entrées are around $20, salads aren’t included — they’re an extra $5–$6 each, which felt a bit steep given the overall experience. Initially, I intended to leave a 20% tip, understanding that the staff was busy. But after being overlooked for so long, I found myself deducting a bit each time another five minutes passed with no attention. Maybe that’s petty, but for the prices they charge, the service should be better staffed and more consistent. Only two people were handling both dine-in guests and takeout/delivery orders, which just isn’t enough on a busy night. There are still a couple of dishes and the mozzarella sticks I’d like to try, but I’m honestly not sure if I’ll return. I left feeling really disappointed — not because it was terrible, but because it could’ve been so much better.
As a world traveler and a member of the armed forces who has spent many years stationed in Europe. I've had the chance to sample a variety of Italian cuisine. For food that is not nearly as elegant as what you would find in Italy, this restaurant shouldn't be charging what it does. Indeed, it is accurate to say that I am not in Italy. However, in order to achieve a somewhat similar flavor, at least some of the seasoning should come from Italy. It's definitely Costco! Adding an Italian chef or at the very least training the American chef at this establishment would be beneficial. "Alarm" is what I take away from the fifteen times we were asked how we liked the food. First and last time!!!!
Didn’t get to taste the food. I just walked in (3 minutes ago) stood there at the counter looking at the menu. I made eye contact with the hostess. She put her head down. I looked around, and then continued to look at the menu. Not one person acknowledged I was in there. I stood there for a while, and then exited.
It breaks my heart to write this but here goes. My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant since we first started dating. We’ve celebrated many occasions at this place and tried continuing that tradition last night. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. My husband, Erik, made a reservation for 6:45pm on Valentine’s Day. He specifically asked for a booth on the phone and the lady said yes, you will get a booth. When we arrived, EARLY, one man walked by and said he would be with us in a moment. The manager (the woman my husband spoke to on the phone) said, “Y’all had a reservation for 6:45? You’re late.” Actually we weren’t late, no one was at the hostess stand to help us when we arrived. She also couldn’t find the reservation because she wrote Frank instead of Erik. Not our fault. Thankfully she had his phone number. She then told us we had the choice of two high tops. Erik told her no, you said that we could have a booth when I made my reservation. She said “no, they are reserved for old people and I would never tell you that you can have a booth.” There were booths available but she chose not to give it to us because we are young. She also stated that people who walk in are priority over people who make a reservation. What?! I’ve never heard of such. If a person takes the time to call and make a reservation, we should be priority over someone just walking in, especially on Valentine’s Day. It saddens me that we have to stop coming here. We loved this place but we will not be treated like this. She could not have been more rude to us. We ended up walking out and going to eat at Grace in Fort Worth instead. We had a wonderful time there. You lost loyal customers who were willing to drive from Fort Worth to eat there. Learn how to treat your customers. We weren’t late, my husband’s name is Erik, not Frank, and just because we aren’t old doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to have a nice dinner in a booth instead of being uncomfortable at a high table at your bar.
I wanted to do a pick up order but they wouldn't let me pay cash and order it over the phone. I've done it mamy times before but now they won't. I just want to order and pay cash like every restaurant does and pick it up myself. They said I can come order it and wait for it there. Not really convenient, which is the whole point. We used to eat here several times a month. We will not be eating here again and I will tell every one locally what terrible service they give.
For a place with nice ambiance , the taste simply didn’t match the presentation. The food was surprisingly bland and lacked any memorable flavor. I had the chicken alfredo.
My friend and I both had very bland dishes and when I mentioned to the waiter that I didn’t like my soggy chicken they brought out what I believe was the manager. They were not happy and started raising their voice. It made me and my friend very uncomfortable… we left immediately
The food has no flavor. we had 3 dinner dishes, Fisilli Capri, Pesto Penne, and the Chicken Calabrese. The Capri had so many onions that it overpowered everything, and that was the only thing you tasted. The Pesto Penne had no Pesto flavor at all, and the chicken tasted rubbery. The Chicken Calabrese was overwhelmed by the jalapeños. As far as service, it was slow, but that was due to them only having 2 persons working the front. I am not sure if they had people call out or they are short staffed. I am not sure how this got 4 stars.
