Fast and Friendly Service Combined with Hot and Fresh Food - You just can’t beat it! I stopped by on my lunch break while running an errand and had little time to waste. As I pulled up to the drive through I was quickly greeted by one of the most friendly and upbeat voices I have heard in a long time. Estella C. took my order, which included several customizations, got everything right and asked me to pull around in the most cheerful and upbeat tone. She was conversational and pleasant to chat with and even though I had just told her how I wanted by burger, she managed to make me smile while doing it. She was equally pleasant when I pulled around and in less than a minute I had my food and was on my way. Still smiling from the positive interaction! As I drove off, I opened my burger to find it prepared exactly as I had requested and hot and fresh. It was delicious! Literally the best burger I had had in a long time. Over all just a really great experience and I would definitely go back!

Used reward from app to get a free Whataburger with the purchase of a med fry and med drink. It was great, especially at that price. Service was good as well. One problem: I needed to go to the restroom, opened a stall door, and one of the employees was sitting on the edge of the stool sideways (not going to the restroom) texting. He said, "I'll be out in 2 minutes." About 6 minutes later, he finally emerged so I could use the restroom.

Fantastic breakfast and very nice staff. I came in hungry, there wasn't a line. I quickly placed my order and within minutes I was being served. The food was hot and tasty. My choice today was biscuits and sausage gravy. I added an orange juice and an extra sausage biscuit which turned out to be a great choice. The restraunt was clean along with the restroom. I plan to return here again. Thank you Whataburger for a delicious breakfast.

This Whataburger reminded me of the "real" Whataburger us old people remember. Hot food served quickly. Fries extra crispy like I asked for. The manager was "Eyes-on" the operation and had good communication skills with her employees. Probably not going back to the 161 location anymore.

I had to pull up so they could finish my order. When it was brought to me, the girl looked in the bag and said the apple pie was missing. She went and got it and brought it to me, I told her thank you so much and that there aren't many people who would do that. She was great, I didn't get her name though.

Great family get together for the family after a good church service. The only thing the system is having a hard time with Google pay so it's better to just order online to avoid being in line an having your card or phone tap be decline.

I eat here very often. The lady who takes orders at the drivethru in the morning is able to remember your voice and your order (if you order the same thing every time)...which, if it was a restaurant that involved tipping the server, would earn her an extra generous tip from me. My only complaint is that the fish sandwich has become a seasonal item.

Regina had wonderful customer service skills and the way she coached her team was positive and much appreciated. Not certain if she was the Mgr? There was another man wearing a cap, barking orders in the back. As a customer, I didn’t want to see that. And I’m sure the team didn’t appreciate it.

Stopped in late Saturday night for a couple of breakfast taquitos and although they were very busy, I was helped at the register promptly and by a friendly associate. My food was ready quickly and every bite was delicious! The service and food definitely ended my night on a great note!

I drove half way across the state to go to this Whataburger and it lived up to every expectation. Fantastic service and the fries and burger were the best I've ever had. I ordered the number 2 and that double burger hit just right. I got a drink that felt like a 20 gallon drum. You need to eat here immediately and make sure you get the spicy ketchup!

This is a good Whataburger all the way around. With all the specialty places you can get a burger from, it's hard to rate a 5. But if you just want an old fashioned drive thru hamburger.... I would recommend this location. The restroom was clean, staff friendly.

I ordered the Chicken Fajita Taco. It had grilled chicken breast strips with green and red peppers and grilled onions. I put salsa and ranch dressing inside of it. I also got the Dr. Pepper milkshake. I liked it. It reminds me of a Dr. Pepper ice cream float.

Staff has become less attentive. Not sure if it is new staffing or not. Fries not up to usual standards. Drinks overfilled for drive thru, orders not as requested. This is just based off of a few recent visits, so just give it a try. Perhaps it was just isolated incidents. The staff was very accommodating in rectifying the issues. I will still patronize it in those hopes.

I ordered a number 1 combo thru the drive thru. There was no one else behind me in line, I was asked to park in front of the store, the wait time was about 15 minutes. The order was then brought to my car, fod was hot, however I asked for salt pepper and ketchup and did not recieve the ketchup. Nothing out of the ordinary from any other fast food join.

My kids orders are wrong maybe 20% of the time, always new ppl in training so I get it, won't hold it against them. I tend to battle between going in and waiting in the drive through but either way, speed of service is the same. I took my little guys around 1am. They messed our order up twice b4 getting it right, however I appreciate their customer service and diversity.

Twice, I have ordered online for curbside delivery. Twice, I waited 20 minutes and eventually went inside to find out where my order was. Twice, it was sitting on a shelf in the lobby. Last time, a lady told me they never received the order and asked if I even placed it. They ran the order again. Cook comes out and said I prepared that order 25 minutes ago, and indeed, she did. It was sitting on a shelf in the lobby. Oh, and she told me they didn't do curbside at that restaurant, even though they have numbered parking for exactly that, and what I entered on their app. I'm pretty sure she was the manager. Obviously, she is not the sharpest employee on the payroll. This didn't happen once. It happened twice. Location was on South Carrier Parkway, across from Home Depot in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Ask any Texan-Hey what’s your favorite burger Big Mac, Whopper, DQ Belt Buster or Whataburger? The answer your gonna get is, Whataburger! And maybe the greatest thing about Whataburger is wherever you go in the Lonestar State - your gonna get a great burger. That’s the case for the Whataburger on Carrier, except that the night manager who works the window is freaking awesome! First rate work ethic, gracious attitude towards customers and employees. It sure would be nice if everyone in the service industry followed suit. I did notice this store seems a little heavy on the salt. Maybe take it easy with that stuff, I downed a large soda before half my meal was finished.

18 minutes to get a small burger and fries when they aren't that busy? "We're waiting on fries" Shouldn't you be dropping fries down when someone orders their burger? And something that takes 3 minutes to cook shouldn't make it take that long to get your meal. The management here either needs to properly train and/or supervise their employees.

The last three times I’ve been to this location, we’ve waited 20 to over 30 minutes for our food after ordering through the online app. We only ordered two meals. Slowest “fast food“ restaurant ever!

This place used to give good service but lately they have been terrible. The last time I came here, 4 employees were having a personal conversation at the registers while another guest and I were waiting to be attended. I went to get Sweet Tea, and they had not replaced it. The sticker said exp: 4pm and it was 9 pm when I went there. I’m not sure if they have a new manager but whoever is in charge needs to hold his employees accountable for not properly doing their jobs.

Actually, I had to pull out of the line because it was backed up and no movement whatsoever. I have no idea what was going on but I gave up on the service. Since this was the second time this happened in the drive thru, perhaps I will plan better and go inside. I never have issues inside and I really like their chicken sandwich :)

I rarely give low reviews. Accidents happen, places have bad days so I almost always review on average. So far over the last several visits we've consistently had at least one missing item. These are online orders so no speaker translation issue. It's hard to count in the parking lot on a decent sized order. One, two times no big deal. This is around 75% of the time. Sure, I could be counting better knowing the issue but taking every item out in the car isn't easy. If you need your fix on a 1-2 person order it's probably fine but if you're doing a multi person order go ahead and drive to another location. They will make it up but it's a long drive back from here with someone not eating to get a free fry.

First time in and i Waited about 5 minutes before being helped, while the 3 kids in the back all looked at me. I was the only one in the restaurant! Even the lady in the back stocking made eye contact... no help! Finally one of the kids who was looking at me came up and asked if I'd been helped, knowing I hadn't. Bathrooms were dirty and smelled. Food was ok.. maybe the drive thru is the best way to enjoy this place? Won't be back!

Overnight, be careful of the older grey headed woman (manager) claiming she needs to take your card to a different register because the card reader stopped working (this is how card skimming is done, 3 to 6 months later the fraudulent charges will start). Aside from that, the food was great.

Horribly inconsistent. The food is alright, but the real issue is the service. You don’t always see a cashier with manners here. They’re also always painfully slow except when there’s someone from corporate working. I was the only car in the drive thru, they told me to pull ahead and they still took more than 15 minutes to get my order out. Another time, there were maybe 3 or 4 cars in line so I had to wait around 40 minutes for my food. The older staff is polite, but the rest of the staff is uninterested and a little rude sometimes. I recommend going to Chick fil A across the street instead

Sadly, the food quality has gone way down at this location. Ordered on the app and picked up my food within 15 minutes. Strips were undersized and lukewarm. Fries are horrible, soggy and cold...not fresh at all. On top of that, food is way overpriced. Quality Assurance is nonexistent.

Around 5:30 am, Saturday, the manager was so rude. She was rude when taking my order in drive thru and never came to the window. I parked and went in. She was talking to the cook with my burger in hand, waving it around. They were laughing and I mentioned to the guy who came in after me "that's the reason we can't get service". When she finally came to service us at the front desk I mentioned that I was just trying to get my burger but no one ever came to the window. She confirmed the order I'm placed and once I agreed, she asked the guy behind me if she could help him. She assisted him and then proceeded to take my money and then told me it'll be a couple of more minutes. She went back to the back to say something to the cook and then she looked at me and then decided to go ahead and go to the window, grab my order and then bring it over to me. Improper use of authority and very rude

The burger was not hot and it was dry. The onion rings and fries were tasty thats why I gave 2stars. waited a good amount of time in drivethru to only get less than Medicare food. This is my 2nd time trying and the 1st time was just the same. I will not be purchasing Whataburger again. Not worth the wait or money.

Customer service could be better . I visited the location at 11/30 at 11:27 a.m. Estella was bringing food out to the cars . Her attitude was horrible . When we asked her how long it would be . We waited in line 25 minutes then we were told to pull up when we got to the window .

Waited 45 minutes! three other customers came in after I did and left approximately 30 minutes before I did. Two familys that came in way after I did got their food and were eating, when I could finally get the manager to look for my order, I believe they lost my food and had no compensation to offer other than my order. I think had I been the manager I would have offered some kind of gift card or something, NO STARS

Went to get two Chicken Cobb salads to come home with a salad with no chicken. Called before driving back to be told that the receipt doesn’t show that I asked for chicken, when I specifically told whomever answered the phone that I did. She proceeds to tell me next time to be “specific” about what I want on my salad. How much more specific can someone be when they ask for a CHICKEN Cobb Salad, so she specifically got cussed out playing in folks faces at 11:00pm. Goofy.

I had the rudest encounter with a worker here. I believe she is a manager. She is an older African American woman. She had the absolute nastiest attitude for no reason. She was not trying to be accommodating or helpful at all. It was very upsetting.

Everytime I go to this location I end up waiting in line for easily an hour. Has got to be the worlds slowest fast-food ever. Like I might as well go in there and cook it myself would still be faster than waiting in this drive through line. If I could I’d give them a 0/5 stars. Everybody is rude , there is a lady name Kay that is disrespectful and walked out while I was ordering , they gave us a kids meal with no strips , cold fries when we ordered a combo. Giving me a kid fries and fruit snack is CRAZY when I ordered a Whataburger meal! NOT only did they give a kids meal with NO ENTREE they also gave us a patty melt with JUST THE PATTY. If I could give them 0 stars I WOULD. Also the manager DEBBIE is horrible. She can’t control her staff whatsoever, meaning SHE CANT MANAGE ANYTHING.

Order through drive thru they told me to pull up so they could complete my order and bring it to me. And it was still wrong??? Even with printed receipt and the drive through repeating my order?? Ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it was by far the worst chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life. Presentation was sloppy and it tasted horrible. Sauce was disgusting too. I'm never ordering the same sandwich again. Seems like the only consistent food item is chicken strips which is sad because this place use to serve great burgers. This location has gone downhill ever since they sold the franchise. So disappointed and upset with the food quality and the price. Think I'm going to puke now.....SMH

Poor service! Drive through order, wasn’t correct. I ordered mustard, no mayo. Sent it back in, they gave me the same one but wiped off the mayo smh! You can still see it on the bun, luckily we checked. Fries were soft and soggy, finally waited for fresh fries as requested the first time. Sorry service.

I always do mobile orders and they always get it right. This time around they place both of my meals in one box. Naturally I ignored looking in the bag, because I only saw one box. It has always been two boxes per meal. Everyone looked clueless and were all goofing around. Still had to wait for my drinks that took over 5mins. Terrible service and staff today!

Drove thru, the lady didn't give me my debit card, I had to go back. When I went inside the manager said, "your debit card?". I said yes. Then she asked for my ID. I told her, not giving you anything else, you knew that was me when I walked in . She even called the cops. I explained it to them & got my card back. Manager sucks.!!!

Been coming to this Whataburger ever since I lived in Grand, Prairie, but it’s ridiculous when you order at 8:02 PM and your food don’t come out until 8:38 PM almost half an hour to get a burger and fries. I will not recommend this franchise to anybody Last time I came here and they got all my order wrong and they try to give me cold food and I told him no and I returned it, but I will not come here anymore

Service is awful. Placed a mobile order for drive thru. When I finally reached the speaker after waiting in line for 20 minutes, they sent me inside and told me to wait there. I’m now sitting inside and it has been another 20 minutes of waiting. If you value your time DO NOT come to this location.

Manager David and Lisa on 6/15/2019 during time of 2:00 to 2:20 very poor customer service. Employee running the register miss calculated change and when given correct amount due she rolled her eyes. While asking for a manager she stated "the manger did not say that." while telling her my change was incorrect while trying to give me 84 cent I explained that the calmly that the correct amount would be a dollar with my total being $19.03 and I paid $20.03. The Cashier persisted to tell me that my correct change would be $0.84. Another employee then states it is $0.84. David the manager then walks by the window and while tapping the window to get David attention he ignored twice. I then left the drive through to go inside and retrieve my order as I then felt uncomfortable. While going inside manager Lisa addresses me and tries to defend employees while telling her that I have received inadequate change. She then proceeds to tell me she told them to give me a dollar back while ignoring the fact I requested a manager while at the window. Her and David was very rude and although my tone was very direct the managers displayed poor customer service and a invaluable reflection of what the service has been over the past 5 years of me living in Grand Prairie. Also, they took my receipt off my bag to avoid me calling corporate. David did refund my ,money but that does not excuse the poor customer services presented by the cashier or two managers present during this time.

Cashier overcharging. Everyone confused and giving wrong orders. Food took 15 minutes to come out and they even screwed that up. Must have been sitting for most of that time on a table or idk how else they manage to make it taste several days old. The flies were just a bonus.

I ordered online and was left sitting in the outside lane for 25 minutes .I had to call the store and ask the manager to bring out my food and it was extremely cold. I took the food inside and was not offered a remake just that I could retrieve my money back through the app. I made that order on the 10th of February. I am still waiting on my money back after contacting customer Care on three different occasions and contacting the store twice. I will continue to complain until I get my $50 back!! I left without food and no money back. I won't be ordering through the app ever again.

They are unorganized. I already told my husband that I did not like that location but decided to give it a try. I did not get my hashbrowns with my meal. My husband had to get out the car to get them. We also ordered a chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese (extra cost). Did not notice until we got home, no cheese.

We Ordered 2 whole jalapeños with our burger meals and we were just not getting our jalapeños. Almost done with our burgers they came with our jalapeños and they were grilled at that, which we didn’t want grilled. We asked for reimbursement and the manager didn’t give us a reimbursement receipt to show it went back into our card. Ashley the manager didn’t offer anything for our inconvenience nor had a care for customer service satisfaction. We were a bother to her. They have Very unexperienced employees that can’t do a simple task. Also, this site is very unclean when we entered. The floors were so sticky dirty like it never had been mopped and the majority of the tables were dirty not wiped and cleaned. Do not recommend this location at all!

I stopped here at 12:08 to get some food of course the line was long so we went it . We waited over 40 minutes for our food for the manager to keep saying 2 minutes and the lady that was preparing the orders kept asking what was our order over and over . There was no sense of urgency they literally cleared the drive thru line 2 or 3 without giving us our food . even the crowd in the inside was taken care of and we end up getting refund a leaving without food . They need more help better service and to handle all customers better I wouldn’t come heree again if it was the last one on earth

A woman employee told an older employee to not take my order or work. Apparently it happened last week as well. Never going back. I’ll be reporting this to corporate as well. Our working elders deserve respect. This occurred March 11th, 2025.

Ok, look. I got no beef with Whataburger. Whataburger is life, ok? I bleed white and orange. Also, I got nothing against the staff here, hospitality wise. They are nice and friendly and always smiling. That being said, I still gave this location one star because of a reoccurring issue I’ve had with this specific location. First of all, I enjoy having breakfast for dinner. Who doesn’t? If you don’t, you should reconsider. Have you ever had waffles for dinner? Do it. Anyways, I digress. So, whenever I have trouble sleeping or have a long night ahead I like to refuel with a lovely order of the HBCB , hash browns, and a large sweet tea. Sometimes I come to this one, sometimes I go to Arlington’s, now I’ve been going to the new one at the new Walmart. But tonight I came back to this one. Hopeful. Hopeful that they would change their ways. But alas, I dream of such a day. Tonight I did my thing, got my usual. But when I ordered, the girl read my order back to me and said “one honey butter chicken strip.....biscuit.” Which I thought was weird but ok, yeah sure. I pulled up, I got my drink , I took a sip and checked. I ordered sweet tea........ITS UNSWEET. Every. Damn. Time. You might be thinking, “Just exchange it, tell them it’s unsweet and get sweet.” Right? WRONG. You don’t understand. It’s not that they GAVE me unsweet tea. It’s that their sweet tea tastes soooooooooooo watered down LIKE WHY DO YOU DO THAT. I understand that I have a sweet tooth. I’ve been told many times that I make my tea way on the sweeter side. SO SUE ME , ‘KAY? But believe me when I say their sweet tea is soooooo unsweet, it’s like drinking 75% water, 25% tea. But ok, ok. NBD , right? I knew this was gonna happen it happens every time I come here so I don’t stress and I ask the girl if she can exchange it with Powerade. She’s really sweet and apologized and said something about the batch, I don’t really know what she said I was starving. But then I get home and I’m mentally prepping myself for a delicious dinner. I get everything nice and laid out. I open my HBCB and I feel it’s pretty empty so I’m like “Hmm that’s kinda weird is there chicken in there ? OF COURSE there’s chicken in there, stupid question.” As I take my first bite, no chicken. No honey butter. Second bite, empty as well. I start feeling the biscuit and decide to open it up. “Yo wouldn’t it be funny if there’s just one tiny chicken strip in there?” I say to myself as I remember what the girl said. THERES ONLY ONE LITTLE CHICKEN STRIP IN THERE. Oh my lanta. ONE. Never in my life have I ever gotten a HBCB with ONE strip. At least not like that tiny! I have added a picture so you can see. I can’t eat at this location any more. Y’all are good people. Y’all just need to work on your sweet tea making skills and portions. A GIRL JUST WANTED TO ENJOY HER DINNER.....I’m still gonna eat it though tbh BUT STILL MANNN...

I inconvenienced the lady who gave me my drinks by asking for a cup holder. How silly of me to ask for one. I'm glad she gave me an attitude because otherwise I wouldn't have learned my place as a customer. Next time, I'll be sure to not ask for the ketchup they forgot to give me and the napkins I don't need to wipe my face from the greasy burgers they put onions on which I didn't ask for. I should've tipped for them! 100 stars!

Extremely Frustrated and Disappointed I don’t usually leave reviews, but this Whataburger visit was just awful. My girlfriend ordered a Patty Melt but specifically asked for regular hamburger buns instead of the Texas toast. I told them four times that we wanted hamburger buns, and the staff even confirmed they made the change — but when we got the food, it was completely wrong. As for my order, I asked for a grilled chicken sandwich with two chicken patties and made sure to repeat myself five times. The girl taking my order said they added the second patty, but when I got the sandwich, it only had one. It’s frustrating when you take the time to clearly explain your order and they still mess it up. Just feels like no one’s paying attention or taking it seriously. Won’t be coming back to this location anytime soon.

What's the point of ordering ahead (while still at home) on the app if you're still going to have to wait 10 minutes in line while people in the Drive-Thru are just passing you by? Then not get a straw and condiments?

Came in ordered my food 20 minutes later still haven't received my food other people have been waiting on and gone ask the lady for a refund and at that point they found my order in the takeout for delivery drop off🤬

Terrible customer service. The young woman working at the drive-thru on 12/22/2025 around 9:40–10:00 was not friendly at all. We said thank you and she never responded. There was zero communication and, honestly, she looked like she hated her job. Please look into this and try to have someone better attending to customers, because this gives a very bad image to this establishment.

I had to go back and delete my previous review of this location. I use the mobile app to complete my order. And get put in the outside lane. Just to watch the other line of vehicles come and go. Then, after 20 minutes, I get brought my watered down Sprite. Or if I order food, I get it with no ketchup or napkins. And 90% of the time, it's missing half of what I ordered. Like when I select extra items and pay for them , but do not receive them. This evening, yet again, I'm sitting in the outside lane, and two vehicle's behind me get their orders brought out to them. And I get told by the car hop. My order has been sitting in there. She'll get to it in a minute. Just to receive colder than room temperature fries, a watered down Sprite and two unedible sandwiches.

This is the second time I tried to give this location a chance. First time fries were cold and sandwiches had lit no lettuce on them, second time milk shakes were runny. Today I Got all the way home to find no condiments and two completely wrong bacons cheeseburgers vs the spicy chicken sandwiches. Will go up 161 to new spot in the future as their fries are always hot and they double check the order for you

I don't know what is going on with this location. I just left and first off, the staff is horrible and ridiculously slow. Then I ate my burger and before I could finish it I started vomiting 🤢 🤮. I did have to send my order back because tje fries were cold. Im wondering if they did something to my food.

Definitely do not order online and pick up in the drive thru line. I ordered my meals online. Pulled up through the drive through where I was told to pull up in a second line so they can bring my order out. Literally had to wait until their drive line full of vehicles were serviced and gone first. 20 minutes of waiting and they bring my order to my vehicle. I wasnt happy but I figured atleast its fresh and hot. Nope! Cold fries, cold onion rings, cold burgers with one burger so soggy from condensation that built while it was just sitting in its wrapper to cooling down. Don't know what happened to this place because its always been a good location. Definitely not worth the money I spent. Learned my lesson

⭐ 1 Star I don’t expect 5-star service from Whataburger, but I at least expect to get what I ordered. This location consistently fails to meet even the bare minimum. They often forget key items like gravy for the chicken tenders or the spicy ketchup I specifically ask for. What really pushed me to leave this review was the last visit—I had a young lady at the register lie straight to my face, telling me she put the ketchup in the bag. I pulled forward, checked, and of course—no ketchup. If you can’t be honest with customers over something so simple, what does that say about the rest of the operation? Sloppy burgers, terrible service, and zero attention to detail. I won’t be returning to this location again.

I ordered a breakfast bowl and a salad for my lunch at work. I placed my order on the app @ 1005 and didn’t receive my order order till 1048 I checked into curbside at 1020 had to go inside to check on my order @10:38 and they were just making said one guy then was asked again bout my order shortly after after the lady thought I was someone else. And my food had been sitting there. My breakfast bowl was cold when I was try to eat in the car on the way to work which was late for now I just ate my salad half of the chicken was dry and hard as hell like it was old

Really bad service, at first i got the wrong order, then the soda fountain was bad, all the sodas didn't have the actual taste. The burger didn't even had cheese and it was the triple meat. Actituted from the bare manager was disgusting. The fries werent cook right, they were all white. They didnt even serve the order in your table When they are suppost to. Dont come here at all. 😤😡😡😡😡
