Me and my fiancé came here tonight after we got engaged a few hours ago. Everything was so great!! Their service, happy hour, and food are all just hitting the romantic spot we need as a newly engaged couple!

What a cozy little gem in downtown Greenport! Every dish had its own unique flavor and was a clear masterpiece. Dining here with a lovely experience.

If you're looking at reviews trying to decide where to go in Greenport like I was, stepping outside you comfort zone and trying some Alpine fare seems like a good choice. I wish I lived closer! Really cozy, tasteful decor (decorated nicely for Christmas in a way that even this Grinch found appealing), very intriguing drinks list, and some very good food- couldn't have asked for more.- the flatbread with onions and creme fraiche and something crunchy- surprisingly large and very tasty! thought it was fairly priced- will have to order lighter next time so we can try dessert!

We made a reservation at this place thinking we wanted to try the pasta based on a past review. Turns out, they didn’t have that pasta and we decided to try Wiener schnitzel for the first time. What a treat! It was so delicious and enough for two. We also enjoyed the bread basket with coriander-sunflower butter and olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Yummy! We also had a side of pancetta savory spätzli - which pairs really well with our entree. The restaurant is cozy with Swiss flair. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Thank you for an amazing time!

The food, vibe and service were all A+ at Alpina. Everything we tried from the Swiss beer, to the entrees to the desserts was excellent. Extremely fresh food, kind and attentive staff and very cool and cozy atmosphere inside. Already can’t wait to go back!

Loved this place! Beautiful bar, interesting menu, great food, fantastic drinks and our server Nick was excellent! The Weiner Schnitzel and Duck Pappardelle were outstanding as well as the drink "Not Your Grandma's Limoncello"! We will definitely come back!

AMAZING!!! 💖👏🏻💖 This place is SOOOO GOOD!!! The food is unique, different AND DELISH!!! Being new to the North Fork I had heard of this place but had never gone. Last weekend we went to the 2024 Chili cook off at the Greenport Brewery and Alpina was there! Their chili was SOOO GOOOOD, that my hunnnies Jeff and I knew we had to make a stop at their restaurant in Greenport first chance we got!! We just went this past Saturday for brunch and OMG~~ the choices, the flavors AND the ambience so warm and inviting!!! You won’t find your typical menu items here but that’s what makes this place so special!! It’s an opportunity to try fresh food and ingredients in a totally different way! We left there feeling satisfied but not overall stuffed and I’ll chalk that up to the freshness of the food! Although I try to steer clear of carbs (all depending on my choices and what’s in front of my face 😂 of course) I had to throw that out the window and go with the dish with a large round hash brown topped with smoked salmon and a poached egg!!! The names of the dishes I don’t recall but you’ll get my point 🤪! My hunnnies went with a dish with the most delicious mushrooms topped with an egg (I think) and onions!! We also ordered onion soup where they actually warm a particular cheese on the side and then come over and top your cup of soup with the cheese!! Because I’m a cheese lover I requested more!! I’ll add both pics so you see the difference! We also ordered a side of a bacon slice which was the real deal!! PLUS~ of course because it was brunch I chose my usual alcoholic companion 😂🥰💪🏻 which happened to be a martini they have already prepared that is topped with a red chili oil! For that I had 2 😜💪🏻. Overall SO HAPPY we found this place!! We live in Laurel, but definitely will be back to try the other items on the menu! They serve brunch Saturday and Sunday so want to make a point to try their dinner menu 🎉🎉🎉. PS~ they also have a huge bar that spans the whole side of the restaurant in case you are looking for that! All in all~~ DEF RECOMMEND!!! 💖👏🏻💖👏🏻

This place is such a Greenport gem. It’s not so common to find authentic Swiss food, especially Swiss-Italian food in the states. Definitely stop here if you’re in town. The cocktails are also great.

Our group enjoyed dinner at the bar with Ava. She was welcoming and offered suggestions for drinks and dinner. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Pork chop special was divine and the dessert was decadent. Definitely coming back for another visit.

My boyfriend and I sat and had dinner at the bar and had a great time. The server was so accommodating and considerate. She went out of her way to request a vegan pasta dish from the kitchen, and it was delicious. There was a little bit of a mix-up (the handmade dish was accidentally given to the wrong guests) but I am happy to know that the food is fresh and that the employees care about the needs of their guests. Thank you to the chef and the back-of-house team! The plates here are creative, thoughtful, and TASTY. We will definitely be back again. Make sure you try out the pebble potatoes and the mushroom fennel pistachio butter starter :)

The roasted potatoes were surprisingly amazing with its salted crispy thin skin and buttery soft mashed potato consistency in the middle, even to the end. I would go back just for the potatoes. Partner had the Rosti and although it sounded good based on the ingredients and was well made, the combination didn’t work very well.

The bartender/server was inattentive and seemed annoyed to be there, almost rude. Dropping Star rating from 5 to 3 stars due to this. Not sure if I would go back a third time.....unless I see Seth behind the bar.

Then the bartender was the server and she was slow and lazy and after our entrees came out and there was basically no meat included in the portion I'm talking like 4 tiny cubes for a entire portion at $48 we ordered bread to fix the issue and she said that after 20 min of waiting for bread sorry we are busy and bread will take another 20 min . This place sucks and food isn't Swiss it's basically appetizers that arent good . The table next to us waited over 30 for the bill they had drinks and bread and their food never came .
