AMAZING! Love this place, all their food is delicious and it’s always so quick and so reasonably priced!
Cooked up some steak for us to take home and included extra items like salsa and chopped onions with cilantro. Delicious!
The food was delicious! This place has an unusual setup. It's kind of like a convenience store on the inside. You order at one window and then pay at the register. Seating is outside at picnic tables. The food was really good. They have authentic el pastor roasting outside. I had a chicken burrito but others in my party had the El pastor tacos. And they looked delicious. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely go there again.
Best El pastor tacos in the area by far.
I've been going for over 15 years. They always have fresh food, and man. They aim to please. You won't find dry pork here. Love you guys!
Friendly, good food, authentic from scratch Mexican food
Fantastic, fresh, authentic tacos! Some of the best I’ve had on my road trip from Oregon to San Diego. And every taqueria should have a salsa this good! (If they only served beer, well, that would just be icing on the already delicious cake…)
Some really nice carne asada and al pastor tacos here. Al Pastor comes from a trompo. You can watch the steak getting grilled outside for carne asada. Some really nice salsa as well. Good place for a tasty lunch.
Wow! Great burritos, quick, friendly service and excellent pricing. The chile relleno burrito was our favorite! Highly recommend!
There's a lot of places to get tacos in the 805, but this place is hands down my favorite spot. I was born and raised here, and I love coming here for tacos.
Really great people and even better food.
Our family has been eating at La Tapatia for around 30 years. We usually go to the Oceano location. Lucy is the best...love her Carnitas. The 13th Street location is great too! Plus they just remodeled the outside dining area and it is so cute. If you want an authentic meal, try either location.. you won't be disappointed! It is all Great!
These are the absolute best Al Pastor tacos ever in the whole world!!! You have to try them!!!
Best Al Pastor tacos in town. I’m seriously addicted to these things. Is the real deal.
This place is the real deal. Al pastor, carnitas, pescados… We grab an order of tacos or burritos from here every week and have never been disappointed. There’s always seating on the patio, and the staff is super chill. Bonus points for the sticker machine that distributes fart-themed parodies on popular brands. We may or may not have started collecting these…
Taste of Mexico at the coast. The al pastor tacos are the highlight here. This is not Mexican cuisine, this is real authentic Mexican food. A little Spanish goes a long way when ordering. Highly recommended.
The al pastor tacos from the guy outside are incredible! Served with a jalapeño, lemon, radish, and cucumber. Pay and Grab a cold drink from inside. Inside has full menu if you want a burrito or other things. Everyone is incredibly friendly.
Thank you for the awesome food! Carne asada plates were great and also the Al pastor taco. Easy seating for the whole family. Also, the guys working were super friendly. Go Paquiao 🤙🏽
We just tried the fish tacos for the first time and were really impressed. 10/10 - the flavor, the freshness, the ingredients, and the price. The service was excellent - friendly, helpful, and professional. We got the tacos to-go, but there is a little patio out in front. We will definitely be going back again and again!!
The al pastor tacos are the best I’ve found in the entire area ☺️👌🏻
This place is great. It was a random choice to stop for food, and I'm happy I chose La Tapatia. The place itself didn't promise a lot, but feedbacks were good. And indeed, burrito was delicious, and I also got large ripe papaya for good price. Thank you!
Love this place, if you're looking for traditional style Mexican street tacos this is the place. The Al Pastor is amazing.
Their food is great and the service is top of the line. The people were very kind and beyond patient with my picky eaters. The food was amazing, we had the carnitas nachos and the asada tacos.
Best Authentic food👍 Great service and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
We moved from Los Angeles to Paso Robles. So you know the Mexican Food in Paso Robles isn’t going to beat LA. We’ve seen this little shop many times and we finally decided to try it. I had 4 tacos de lengua and my partner a wet burrito. The tacos had a good amount of meat which is always a plus. Anyway, I put all the condiments on my tacos and took that first bite. It was delicious! Definitely reminded me of home. The staff are friendly as well. We’ll be eating here when ever we want Mexican food.
Good tacos. Got asada and al pastor. Both had soft moist meat with great flavor. The staff was friendly. The ordering process is a little unorthodox. You place your order at the kitchen window, to the right of the deli counter for everything EXCEPT AL PASTOR. Then you pay at the store register to the right of that (the north side of the store). If you have anything al pastor, you ORDER AT THE REGISTER and they give you another ticket to take to the outdoor cook. That's where the al pastor is made. They make that dish outside for you to pick up there. Everything else is prepared inside and they either have you pick up at the deli counter or that may bring it to you outside. That's the process as I understood it. Little confusing if it's your first time.

Only the best Al Pastor in the county. So good!

Deli food is delicious tacos de pastor is so good. Good quality good service 👍
Good tacos. Asada and pastor anyway. I like that they grease up the tortillas just a bit. Too many places dont do that and you get dry tortillas. Wish they sold beer to go with it. Maybe one of the best taco places in the county.
This place has the best al pastor tacos I've ever had. The guy runs the pastor spit out front of the market. Super chill dude who hooks it up! I think he's closed on Mondays tho.

One of my favorite places to go to get a good cheap burrito. Most days they're making fresh el pastor tacos outside for like $1.50
Food was very good. I ordered a Carne Asada burrito. It was huge. Way more than I could eat. Little pricey. Tables were very dirty. I asked for a towel to wipe the table down and she handed me a dry napkin. Music was Hispanic and a little loud
Pastor tacos are really good. Pretty much what everyone goes there for.

Yummy breakfast burrito! Was traveling from SLO to LA and was craving an authentic Mexican breakfast burrito. This spot popped up and it didn’t disappoint. The sausage breakfast burrito was very tasty, and it is of a hefty size! The only thing that I would change for next time is to remove salsa that was in the burrito as it made the burrito wet and difficult to eat. Personally, I love to add the salsa as I am eating the burrito. Either way, it didn’t disappoint.

Tacos ain’t bad by any means. Just pretty average compared to what you can get in-state. Fish tacos were fine although they did seem to have a faint “fishy” taste that comes from fish that has been stored for too long.
I don't stop here often but I did the other day. Got some ice some milk some soda and a few tacos for the road. Tacos are decent and everyone is friendly enough. Next morning I made a bowl of cereal and on that first spoonful realized the milk was way bad. No clumps just sour. Still in had a few days on it. Don't know who's to blame on that one. Fridge not cold enough?
I truly wanted to give them a higher rating. Theor meat has amazing flavor but the proceed to put a bunch of sauce on top of everything you can't taste it. The sauce is bland and watery amd very lacking. I was so excited for the pastor tacos until they came outside to make them. They do not pull the meat from the rotisserie, instead they get it out of a pan that is sitting there with tortillas and heat it on the grill.then they cover it in the same bland sauce as everything else. The chicharron are undercooked and soggy. If you take them home and crisp they up they are amazing with great flavor. But why am I recooking food before I can eat it? Now let's talk about their tortilla.... why is it so soft and falling apart. By the time I got home they were so soggy you couldn't pick up the tacos. If you go here just get meat and do the rest your self.

The guy misheard our order and gave us a cabeza burrito instead of a carne asada when we said carne asada like 5 times and charged us $25 dollars for that one burrito that we didn’t even want because the cabeza “cost extra” (there was barely any meat in it and was hairy) and then we got a wet burrito that had barely any sauce or cheese on it. They got so much popularity for their tacos that they overpriced everything on their menu and it’s not even the best Mexican food in town. Got a chocolate milk too and he charged us $4 for a small chocolate milk. Got straight ripped off, and the guy was super rude. Don’t recommend.

I really like the cook Elvis, the skinny shorter dude who fills in doesn't hook it up as much. I really like the food here and I'm super bummed that I was overcharged. No menu prices either. Is it worth ripping off your customers to lose them?
I could give it zero stars, but there's no other option. The worst chorizo tacos I've ever had, dripping with oil. And as for the pastor tacos, the taquero didn't put pineapple on them even though he had it on the top of the spit, and he has a bad attitude.First and last visiting this place .don’t trust on the good reviews.
