Amazing service and attention to detail by Camila! Compliments to the chef 🧑🍳
What a great find. I saw this restaurant last time we were in GDL and I wanted to make sure we tried it next time we were in the city. The vibe of the place is modern and cozy. Great date place. I'm sure it gets busier later in the evening and weekends. The Korean dishes have little twists to them and are delicious. My wife had the Bulgogi pasta. It is a little sweet but add a little soy to it and it will be perfect. I had thd bacon/octopus bibimbap which was delicious. We also tried the soju sampler which gave us a three bottle tasting of different flavors. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. She did an outstanding job. We will back next time we are in town.
Delicious bibim ramen and great, fast service. Even on a Monday evening, the place was buzzing. I managed to get a table, though at first I was seated at an awkward, claustrophobic spot, but I requested a better table and was moved without any issues. My order was taken promptly, and the food arrived soon after. I ordered the steak bibim ramen, and although it’s a broth-less ramen, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had a nice kick of spice, which I loved, though the portion was a bit small. The prices were reasonable, except for the Topo Chico, which I found a bit overpriced at $65. Overall, it was a great and solid experience that I enjoyed.
One of my all time new favorites in Guadalajara. I had only had Korean bbq once before in LA. I got noodles here on a bad date, but the real star here is the bbq. Definitely going back. They usually have a few meats you can choose from, but we opted for the mixto. I almost licked the plate.
Absolutely delicious! From ambience to food everything was on point. I tried there Soju Spritz. Fried chicken, Bibin tocino and Matcha Popsicle. Everything was delicious and flavorful. I really enjoyed the side dishes they gave us with the rice. The service was fast and staff was helpful. Definitely going to recommend!
When visiting Guadalajara definitely stop by SSAM… 👌 The food is full of flavor, beside that is super cozy! The day we stop it was one of those that we where just tired, we had been walking for a long distance trying to find something good where to eat, my phone signal was terrible, so we decided just to drive around this area to see if we could find something interesting, and we did!
Absolutely delicious. I had the bacon classic grill and shared with friends, it was more than enough for the three of us. Now I understand why kimchi is such a staple in Korean cuisine, it's great. The restaurant is bit on the pricier side, since we shared it wasn't that much per person, but I think it's totally worth the price.
Updated review: I came back... The restaurant has doubled in size. Every dish was great! Prices are still very down to earth. Food was fast and really good! The service was excellent!! Waiters were very attentive! Now they still have the same uncomfortable chairs but also other individual seats and different tables and when you leave the restaurant you don't smell. Hahaha First review: Really different, original, food. innovative for what I usually eat. This place surprised me and got my attention with many dishes. The only thing I didn't like is that the tables and the chairs are uncomfortable and that when you leave the restaurant you smell like food. Hahaha other than that this is a great place, service was excellent. I would definitely come back and recommend it!
Really liked it. They have an outside and an inside seating area, which makes it pandemic perfect. You will get wet if it's raining though. Staff was super nice, a couple sat right next to me when I had to move inside because of the rain, and someone immediately asked them to move so we could social distance. Ginger lemonade was really good and Bibimbap arrived sizzling and with an egg cooked to perfection. I will definitely come back for more Korean dishes!!!
Busy busy restaurant. Extremely popular with the locals which is awesome. Expect to wait 30 mins during peak hours but it’s worth the wait. We wanted to try the BBQ, unfortunately we couldn’t get a table with the grill. But they have a great menu with some Korean favourites. The flavours are authentic and very flavourful.
I was staying at a nearby AirBnB and on my way to and from my place, noticed that this place was always busy at dinner time. I have spent a lot of time in Seoul for work and am intimately familiar with the Korean cuisine. I had low expectation for the place but decided to give it a shot for dinner one night. I was seated indoors on the long table. The ambiance is nice and intimate. The service was also very efficient. I had a ginger lemonade on the warm night for drink which was quite good. For appetizer, I had Mandu (beef stuffed empanadas). For me, this was the highlight of the meal. For the main course, I had Bibimbap Salmon. The presentation was very good in a heavy stone bowl but unfortunately the food lacked the flavor. If I were doing with a large group then I would have definitely tried BBQ on the table. Overall it's a good choice for variety sake if you are tired of eating Mexican food everyday during your stay in the neighborhood.
We really wanted to eat Korean barbecue, so we chose this store according to the score. But we are very disappointed. First of all, the barbecue in this restaurant is not Korean. It's more like an improvement based on Mexican tastes. Kimchi is bitter, and ramen is not Korean at all. I've eaten Korean food many times in Mexico, but it's the first time I've met such an unorthodox one. In addition, there is no oil smoke absorption equipment here. When we eat barbecue, our clothes will smell like smoke. If you want to date, obviously this is not the right place. But it is worth mentioning that the waiter's service is very good, which is what I am most satisfied with here. In a word, the Korean food in this shop is average. It's more like a Mexican barbecue.
