Giumarello's Restaurant and G Bar

Wow, a terrific experience complimented with great service, tantalizing food, awesome music choices and phenomenal decor topped with super fantastic company. It was a blast to dine at this amazing restaurant and even though it was raining cats and dogs , the rain didn’t interfere with the superb quality of the service received. From the valet parking to the waitress and server it was great. Thanks team. Special shout out to the chef who was on duty. You showed up and out very well. It is a must have experience in Haddonfield on Haddon Avenue. Thanks to the owners for this brilliant concept. Definitely way to go!!!❤️❤️❤️

Another great experience here. From the great atmosphere, inside and out, the impeccable service, and the amazing food. The pancetta shrimp are great as well as the lobster ravioli. Get them both along with eggplant Parm for an appetizer. The crab cake with lobster sauce was unreal. The is zero filler...all crab. The lobster sauce is so light and delicious. The pasta with clams, shrimp, and crab in wine sauce was really good. The sauce was not overly garlicky like a scampi. It was light and delicious. Save room for the whiskey cake! So good.

The experience that I had today was amazing. I had Napa Valley quilt wine, which was fantastic/superb. I also had the filet cooked rare with a stuffed lobster tail and broccoli Rabe. My server Zach was amazing. Above and beyond. He was attentive, friendly, and all-around a great vibe ..he truly made my experience phenomenal, especially after having “a day” after work. Thank you so much Zach !

This was the first restaurant my wife and I went to for outdoor dining since the pandemic started and I have to say we had a great time! We felt completely safe at the waiting area outside in the parking lot and our waitress was very sensitive and attentive to make our experience perfect. We ordered classy drinks, crispy calamari and decadent burgers for dinner...everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! We sat out under the covered area on the patio with cafe lights, which was relaxed and cozy. Our only complaint was the music. For such a classy restaurant, we expected some light or classic jazz but ended up listening to 90's and 00's pop music instead... Unfortunately they aren't taking reservations at this time but believe us when we say that the wait is worth it... Next time though we'll order a drink while we wait for our seat! Overall we had an incredible time and enjoyed our date night at Giumarello's. We definitely recommend it and hope to go there again soon!

First time eating here and won’t be the last! The food was delicious. The service and the environment was wonderful. They have indoor and patio space. My favorite was the wrap around bar and the house made chocolatechello.

We love your restaurant. Little too crowded sometimes for me, but the food is amazing. The atmosphere is comforting, and the servers are extremely professional.

My family and I have been going to G bar for years as it is always consistent with the quality of food, drink, and service. Most recently we hosted my father's celebration of life on their back patio, and it was perfect. Frank was helpful through the whole process and was hands-on the day of. The staff members were professional and respectful and the food and drink were great as always.

My wife and I come here for most of our date nights. It's hard to find a better atmosphere. We can have a quiet dinner, if that's our mood or we can find a spot by the bar where it's more lively. Every time we go to Giumarello's the food is amazing, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and we leave trying to figure out when we can come back. I would recommend to anybody.

The food and cocktails were wonderful! Always a special meal! I only wish the prices were more reasonable so we could come more often.

One of my favorite restaurants while visiting my children in NJ. Best seafood salad and saffron mussels. Drinks are also very unique and very good! Highly recommend.

I absolutely love Giumarello’s! It’s always warm and inviting. The staff is terrific, the food is delicious and the cocktails are fantastic! I visit weekly for happy hour and sometimes during the week for dinner. Has never disappointed. Consistency keeps me coming back.

Took daughter here to celebrate graduation. Service was not only on point, but rivaled any Michelin starred restaurant. Service was perfect. Attentive, but not intrusive and extremely knowledgeable Food, excellent. Steak perfectly seared and perfectly medium rare. Don't be fooled by the initial appearance and walk through the bar. This restaurant is class and well worth the trip. You will not be disappointed

Been going to this restaurant for many years. The food, drinks and atmosphere are second to none. The staff is friendly, professional and do everything they can to make your visit fun and relaxing. Draws a crowd of friendly people that makes the evening a pleasure.

I had a large party of 12 (6 couples) around the holidays. Sat in the G bar section at high top table. Sam's food was on point as usual and the service was terrific. The G bar is the place to be for great food and cocktails. If you haven't been yet you are missing out on a great time!

THE absolute best restaurant, ever!! The food is fabulous, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere is elegant and casual at the same time! Hands down, our favorite place to have a special, romantic meal. Highly recommend, time and time again!

We went here for my birthday, there were 9 of us. We ordered a variety of dinners and the were no complaints only raves about them. Servers were on top of everything, conscientious, quick, and pleasant. I've never had a bad meal there. I will be back.

We recently hosted a 35th Anniversary celebration at Giumarello’s, and it could not have been more perfect. Our event was held in the Speakeasy Room, which was fabulous — access is through a door cleverly concealed in a wall of wine racks, setting the tone immediately. The space has a delightfully authentic speakeasy vibe and is arranged beautifully for both mingling and dining. The mix of patterns and textures throughout the room is sophisticated and inviting — stylishly eclectic in a way that works perfectly. From planning to the event itself, the service was outstanding. Every interaction — including several last-minute changes like adding a champagne toast — was handled with graciousness and ease. The toasts ran longer than expected, but the staff adjusted seamlessly, serving dinner as if that timing had been the plan all along. The servers were attentive without ever being intrusive, remembering guests’ drinks and meal choices and accommodating every special request. The food was superb from start to finish — each dish flavorful and beautifully presented. For dessert, the kitchen created a stunning buttercream-iced marble pound cake with “Thank you for 35 years, Greg” written across the top. It was every bit as delicious as it was beautiful. A special thank you to Frank, the Manager, who was a joy to work with and even surprised us by creating a tribute to the event displayed on the flat screen in the room. Everything about the evening exceeded expectations. Giumarello’s made this milestone celebration truly unforgettable.

I’m a South Philly girl with my best friend who live in Jersey. I’ve been going there for years now. I think it’s one of the best restaurants in the tri-state area. That says a lot because I do have my favorites. Love, happy hour as well as a full dining experience. Always always order a steak. Haven’t been there for some time because I had a major surgery. But don’t worry, I will be back.

I’ve been going to Giumarello’s since Sammy was on Station Ave. The food and the service has always been top notch! My ex-husband and Sammy went to school together. We even named our youngest son, Gian who is now 31. I will always say nothing but good things about this restaurant. I’ve loved seeing what it has become today.

Have been going to Giumarellos for both personal and business lunches and dinners for years. Also have done take-out for the holidays and been there for funeral lunches. Take my out-of-town guests there because it never disappoints, no matter what the food options need to be. It is one of the best restaurants in SJ. The quality and selection of food is amazing. Service to match. Bar scene and vibe great, whether single or with a date/partner. They do fresh seafood, Italian dishes and veal, lamb and beef specialty cuts very well. What I like best is that the atmosphere is one of casual elegance so you know it is a special place but has a family warmth about it so you feel at home too. I highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible my wife and I went here for a date night. Note don't go here for date night if there is a playoff football games on the TV at the same time LOL. Food and atmosphere we're absolutely worth every penny. Recommend reservations

Excellent! From the food, to the bar, to the music. Had a great first experience here. The only thing I would point out is the friendliness of the hosts, that could be adjusted. But everything else was lovely

We’ve been going to G’s for over 15 years now, and it never disappoints. The food is always excellent, the atmosphere is perfect, and—let’s be honest—Frank is the best. He always takes great care of us. Highly recommend G’s for amazing food, awesome ambiance, and an all-around excellent night out.

Went with friends a couple months ago and had a great meal(filet) and oysters appetizer. Great cocktails and wine. We ate at the bar. Bartender was awesome. Love this place!!!

Been a long time customer at G bar. The bartenders are absolutely phenomenal, and the food is unbelievably good. It’s a nice upper scale atmosphere to unwind and have a few drinks with friends. The sitdown dinner service is excellent.

Hands down the best spot in south jersey. The food, the drinks, the service.. always impeccable. Hosted a surprise 60th in their speak easy this year and will never use another event space again, hard to top what they have to offer. The general manager Frank is amazing as well! Always a 10/10 experience.

Simply the best! Frank met us in the lobby and as always was very gracious and welcoming! Michele (with one L) served us our drinks at the bar along w a lobster salad that was phenomenal! My buddy had the caeser salad with salmon and loved it. What a personality Michele has! DD

Rose was absolutely amazing at Giumarello’s Restaurant! From the moment my boyfriend and I sat at the bar, she made us feel welcome and taken care of. Her drinks were perfectly made, her recommendations were spot-on, and her friendly personality made the entire experience even better. She was attentive without being overbearing and clearly knows her craft. Rose truly added to our night, and we can’t wait to come back and sit at her bar again. Highly recommend! 🍸✨

Amazing food and excellent service. The only complaint was that I had made reservations for Valentines Day a month ago. I thought this would allow us to sit in the Dining room. Upon arrival, we were sat in the bar area. When we asked about the Dining room, we were told it was booked. The bar area is nice but loud and crowded. My wife has a bad back which makes it hard for her to sit at a high table. I just wish I was told that a reservation does not guarantee a seat in the Dining room.

Service was excellent. Our waiter was really good. Food was great. My only issue was with the sauce. And realistically it's more of a preference thing maybe. The red sauce on my chop and pasta was basically tomato sauce. Not much flavoring went into it. I could tell as soon as I saw it. This didn't stop me from enjoying it. Just wish it was more seasoned. The sauce served with the calamari has more stuff in it.

Hadn't been back in a while. Ordered a cup of lobster bisque, however, was not up to their standard. The texture and consistency were nice but the color and flavor was lacking. I think it needed some tomato to create beter color and maybe some sherry. The crab cake sliders were delicious. Always good to see Michelle behind the bar.

The 5 stars is for atmosphere in the bar seats. The dining room is underwhelming and always has been. Our service was fantastic. The appetizers were fantastic. It was a perfect dining experience. Small plates of delicious food and drinks.

I usually love this place and don’t have a bad thing to say about it! I will say the hostess and I guess the manager by the outdoor patio were so rude like so rude! We had a bigger table and I know the main dining room was full and the outdoor was full but they told us on the phone the bar area was first come first serve and there was a bunch of tables so we asked if we could get a table of 8 and they told us no they can’t push tables together! That was fine so we asked if we could do two tables of four and we would do separate checks since it was two different tables there was a bunch of tables of four in the bar area and he rudely looked at us and said no all these tables are account for and it will take over an hour even tho it’s first come first serve no reservations for the bar area! He was just rude and discriminating against us he didn’t want us to be sat! Honestly I was so angry so I went to the front hostess and asked it there was a wait for four and she said no they had plenty of tables and she sat us in the bar area and then my mom went and got another table of for in seconds! So honestly check in on your management because he is so disrespectful and turning away customers for no reason! I come to gbar all the time and now I am so mad I most likely won’t!

Unfortunately the food was just fair. The breadbasket that they serve at the beginning of the meal had soggy bread in it. A person at our table ordered the salmon and it looked like it had been smashed down by a brick. We were served the house salad at dinner, the tomatoes were squishy and the lettuce was limp. Service was just okay.... A bit curt at times.My husband had contacted the restaurant prior to us going for a birthday dinner and asked that a candle be put into a piece of dessert to surprise me at the table. When that didn't happen, my husband asked the server what happened to the surprise birthday candle, she just stated well ,just pick something out and we'll stick a candle in it. Of course this ruined the whole surprise. Lastly, we were seated in the back near the kitchen doors where the servers were going in and out to run food and to put dirty plates on a large tray there. Unfortunately, they were throwing the plates there and making a lot of loud noise. When I asked a floor manager at the restaurant to ask them to not throw the plates he said " we're busy ".... Not exactly great customer service. I feel that the reputation is overrated and there are a lot of other very good restaurants in the area in which we can enjoy the food.

Food was fresh and delicious as always. Drinks not so much. standard espresso martini tasted watered down and little foam on top. i requested a specific drink and bartender, Michelle, wouldn’t make it nor look it up. it wasnt busy nor crowded. she had time. it ruined my experience.

Used to be obsessed with this place! But service has gone downhill - went on Friday with a 7pm reservation - was sat right away. Yes they were booked but the waitress seemed so rush, literally running away from the table after taking orders, never refilled our cocktails or asked if we wanted another drink. We ordered filet salad and got medium and medium well both were medium rare and grey???? Maybe just spoiled from dining at Scarpelli’s lately but it felt like a burden to the waitress is being there. Oh, and we couldn’t have our birthday cake we brought, that sucked :-(

Haven't been there in over a year and was reminded why I haven't. The food is great and the place is impeccably decorated. The problem is getting the food. The wait staff is good but the bartenders. They are as pretentious as the patrons. Just not nice.

Made reservation five week’s prior to valentines for reservation INSIDE but they did not accommodate as promised. They put us outsude at the outdoor patio with no ambience. The hostess was beyond rude when we asked for the mgr. he also did not accommodate. Food was subpar but the bill was $400 and food and service did not match the price tag! Your little hostess with dark black hair and pigtails on Valentine’s Day needs a professional attitude adjustment. Very rude.

Not the best visit. Was not impressed went in for a quick bite. And I believe that we picked the wrong restaurant. Sat in the bar area. Servers were all gathered together at a table section faces in their phones. Had plastic in my burger and got a side Caesar that was highly overpriced. Would not go back. The only good thing was that the Manager was somewhat accommodating. (Nov 2025)
