Bj's Restaurant & Brewhouse - Hagerstown

This BJ's is always a win win. It was 8:30 pm on mother's day. We were seated within 1 minute of entering the door. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I never feel bad about spending the money when going here.

Very great place for a date or just a casual hang out with friends. The food is very good with enough options on the menu for even the picky eaters. They run deals every day of the week, so if you plan a reservation, you can guarantee a great time. The amount of drink options is out of this world. if you can't find something to drink on the menu, you really didn't want to drink. The service was phenomenal throughout the whole meal, never had empty drinks, clutter, and never made us wait. It's one of my top five places in town to go eat. It's definitely a must try.

Ordered the Philly Brewhouse sandwich with onion rings. Enjoyed the meal as always. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean with nice big windows.

One of the better prewpub chains I have been to. The bar and restaurant have a modern design with a classic feel. You are greeted and guided to the table of your choice. The beer menu is balanced from dark to light, heavy to light, bitter to sweet. The food is creative takes on traditional favorites.

ALWAYS a great experience and dining (lunch & dinner)when I call ahead for seating. This BJ’s Rest. & Brewhouse location never disappoints. Me and my female crew have our Galentine’s Day celebrations here and the waitstaff is always exceptional, professional, accommodating, and friendly. Me and one of my female crew women where at BJ’s Rest. & Brewhouse 28Mar.2021 during lunch and we were greeted and seated expeditiously. Mikiyah B. was our hostess/waitress and she off the bat remembered me when this location 1st opened(that set the bar for her generous tip...more than $40). She was awesome, friendly, attentive, and didn’t miss a beat when it came to taking care of our table pertaining to drinks and food. I had the Crisp salad(chicken strips, almonds, eggs, tomatoes, corn, cucumbers, w/honey mustard dressing)then broccoli and cheddar soup was so super cheesy and good. Those Sangria’s were truly liquored up(I love my Prosecco)and thanks for the extra strawberries. Mikiyah B., you’re truly the best. Keep up the excellent customer service love.

Ate here with my daughter after a softball game, she got the chicken Alfredo and I got the Philly sandwich and shared the hot fudge Brownie sundae

A nice restaurant, having good times here with my coworkers, though some didn't come but we still enjoy hanging out. Just Lil upset they don't have calamari and other food we wants that day, but got good pizza and delicious shrimp and root beer chicken wings which I like the most. They have a good price and store is clean.

Have been here 3 times since it opened. Service has been good and service has been fine. I had wings last time and they were cooked perfectly, nice and crispy. Next time I will ask for extra sauce though. I also have to say that the berry cider is great, can't get enough of that stuff. UPDATE - 3/20/2025 It's been a few years since we've eaten at BJ's. We were nearby yesterday and thought it was worth stopping in. I got the steak and asparagus, my wife the Chicken Parm, Daughter the chicken sandwich and my son ordered spaghetti. The service was a bit slow, but all of the food was pretty good. My medium steak was cooked a bit more and was on the tougher side. We'll come back another time.

Our waitress Loren was very attentive and sweet 😊. I am SO loving the $5.99 tomato matz salad, yummy! The poke starter with the homemade wonton chips 2🎲4. Working on the delicious protein bowl and broccoli cheddar soup yum! Be sure to have a Jeremiah Red, so delish! I’ll be back!!!

Raven was an amazing waitress! Helped us with the menu and any questions we had. Loved her vibe, very chill and professional :) Def will be coming again!

Alondra M was the greatest in town. She was so kind and was generally keeping it real. Amazing food and my dad felt so kind he picked up a couples check!

BJ’s in Hagerstown was a great spot for lunch when visiting my fiancée’s family! The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the staff was very friendly. Our waitress was especially kind and made the experience even better. Overall, a great visit and a place we’d definitely come back to!

Cadence was an awesome server! She gave us such great recommendations. The food was also amazing! We really enjoyed the Dubai Chocolate Pizookie!

I was there on 2/3/26 with a great friend of mine. We made a reservation, and I called because I was running a little behind. I'm a lead line cook at another restaurant, so I totally understand things. The server Sam was so nice and attentive! None of the food took a long time and it was absolutely delicious! 😋 The steak salad was cooked perfectly! And my friends tacos, were absolutely delicious! Sam even gave us a free dessert, and she didn't have to! That was so sweet of her! She's a fantastic server! And we included a little love for the kitchen staff as well. :) thanks Sam! Out of all the times I've been at BJ's, I've NEVER been disappointed with food or service! Will be returning again!

Took the wife & kids out for lunch at BJ's Restaurant near the Valley Mall & had a great meal. Food was cooked perfectly & very tasty. On top of that, we had some of the best service from our waiter, Joe Z, while we were there. His personality was fantastic & he joked around with us & was very friendly & personable. He made sure to check on us frequently & never let our drinks get empty. If you're going to go to BJ's, make sure you ask for Joe Z. You'll get some of the best service you've ever had.

We went on a Saturday evening, the wait was only about 20 minutes so very reasonable for a busy night. We had 3 children and they’ were offered fruit and goldfish immediately upon seating which is a great touch. Our server was Cimmeron S and he was fantastic. Drinks were never empty and plates were promptly cleared. The food was all great and didn’t really take too long. Price for drinks, apps, meals, and desserts were very reasonable. Will definitely return!

Joe was an amazing young man and a great server! He helped us with any request and just made his presence known enough but did not make us feel overwhelmed! He truly cared about our dining experience and there needs to be more young men like him! Thanks to him we got exactly what we wanted and the food was great!

First experience there and we loved it. Food was awesome, and so was our server Joe. He was very attentive, and very friendly. I had the chicken flatbread and was probably the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back

Cadence was such a lovely server! Very kind and patient. If you ever come here, you should definitely ask for Cadence. Food was also very good and came out very quickly.

Great experience as always. Had the pleasure of having Joe as our waiter this evening and he was phenomenal. Very attentive and personable. Solid go to for a quality meal at a reasonable price.

Had my Birthday dinner here with family and the food was fantastic!!!! But nothing tops the excellent service by our waitress CADENCE!!!! She was polite and very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. She answered the few questions we had with no hesitation. She maintained a polite and friendly presence every time she checked in on us. Definitely one of the best waitress experiences Ive had in a long time. Just her appearance and the way she carried herself was enough to show that she took her job seriously. This young lady definitely deserves some extra appreciation at the end of the day. Thanks for the great food and wonderful service Cadence!!!! 🎉

I’ve eaten at several different locations and all of them have had really good food. We had a waitress named Reese and she was amazing. She checked in frequently, but not to the point where it was annoying and Always made sure we had everything we needed in a timely manner. I would certainly go back.

My wife and I go out every Monday to a new or different place in the DMV. We had the lunch specials. I got the chicken parmesan with tomatoe sauce, and my wife got the burger and fries. It came with the cookie dessert with ice cream on top. That was the best!! I don't eat a lot of sweets, but this was on point!!

This was our first visit to BJ's in Hagerstown. The service we received was outstanding, and the dining room is very attractive. Overall, we would rate the food as good. My wife had the Power Bowl with Shrimp ($19.45), and I had the Spicy Chicken with Noodles. The ice tea was $3.75 and the lemonade was $3.95. The lemonade was overly sweet, and I would not order it again. We plan another visit to BJ's to check out other items on the menu.

Was told there'd be about an hour wait. Prom was happening the night we went. When we got the text it said there'd be a 90min wait. We actually only ended up waiting about 30-40min. The gentleman that waited on us was amazing. Wasn't overbearing but checked on us just enough. But we were simple & easy enough as well. (Both people getting same dishes etc) We had the dry lemon pepper wings as an appetizer. They were amazing. I hate soggy skin on wings & these were very crispy & hot. They also tasted very fresh like they hadn't even been frozen etc. We came specifically for the Jambalya so that's what was ordered and as usual was delicious & enough to take home leftovers. Price point is a little high but doable for seeking out once in a while. On average a meal is going to be around $25 plus you'll have drinks, appetizers, desserts etc on top of that.

Friends brought me her for birthday dinner...the wait was 30 mins, the service was okay (the waitress did not offer us refills) the food was hot (fresh). My friends especially enjoyed the brussel sprouts, avocado rolls, and chocolate chip pizookie (not pictured)

Great spot with a large variety of draft beers. Snores pizookie was killer. Just stopped for dessert and drinks bit have had many meals and was never disappointed with taste or portions.

Food was decent. My fries were good, my Mac and cheese was good.. and my smiley potatoes were good.. but my burger, not so much.. my bun was soaked in sauce that I could barely enjoy it; so I just took it apart and ate the patty itself. Joe was a superb server. He’s amazing. I will still return but will just order a burger with no bun next time.

This place was ok. My biggest complaint would be the staff. Most of them seemed immature and used foul language while talking to customers. Luckily, we got a nice young man who was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing with low lights. The menu is packed full of choices. My husband loved the food. I didn't. The shrimp was not very good and the seasoning was inconsistent.

Some of the TVs work. Ordered chicken and steak, I asked for steak to be medium well, and it was overcooked with a crunchy hard over seasoned black peppered steak with overcooked sandy middle The chicken....nope. It was like they went to the local school and got gov chicken. Military food is way better. The asparagus was warm... and crunchy. I think they swaped the cooking directions with the veg and meat. This place used to be good, but now the prices went up, and the quality went way down. This was my second attempt to revive this place in my mind, but again, it was a huge disappointment. The asparagus was maybe heated on low, so it was undesirable. The staff is friendly and the beer is good. SALT. Maybe drink the beer until you feel your taste buds fading, then eat. The salad and dessert were ok... but how would someone mess that up. A side of fries for a kid was 5.99....buy a bag of potatoes cut them up, make them yourself stick them in your pocket to sneak them in, j/k on sneaking food in. Bon appeyuck. Fix it.

One person can make a big impact in your experience, we come to this restaurant from 45 minutes away , is not our first time since we been here multiple times , the difference today was we ask for bar table instead of sitting at the bar where we always get a great experience. We got a table but it was not the best for us so we ask a waitress if we can move she said yes . When we were sitting at the other table this Asian girl came to talk to us like we were kindred garden kids , telling us to next time tell her we moving tables . It was not what she said at first but how she said it . I responded we did ask if we can move but you can’t talk to us that way plus have rude attitude , she turn around and her response was is been a long day with a horrible attitude. I told her you are brat girl you should never speak with customers that way , we didn’t do anything wrong I said but she ignored us and keeps walking and talking . After that our server came her name is Carolyn she apologized to us and turn our experience to the best experience like always. It’s sad that you go out to have a good time with your family and a rude employee can make your dinner the worst . By the way the hosts girl name is Julia and Asian rude employee . Carolyn thank you for making us feel better and taking g care of us .

The food was awful. And also they charged me twice! I was here 10.14.25 and payed for my dinner with QR-code. But server told us, that she canceld our payment and ask us to pay with card. But both payment was provided. We returned here 10.15.25 and told with manager about this cityation, but he told us that he didn't see double payment. Today i opened a dispute in my bank. Hope, they will return my 145$ back!!! P.s. the bartender was very nice and professional.

Food was terrible! Waste of money!!! We asked for a medium rare stake. This was not it.straight CHARCOAL!.service not good at all. Plus side got a free pizookie for my birthday! if you do end up coming just get the pizookie! 😡🤬

If you are getting catering don't get the tri tip. Completely inedible rubbery couldn't chew it. Nasty food. I feel bad for the steer it came from. The chicken was good tho.

They have great service and friendly servers. The appetizers are awesome, however, they can't cook a steak to save their lives. Not sure if they use charcoal or gas. The first ones for me and my spouse were burnt on the outside, completely rare on the inside. We ordered medium to medium rare. Not even close. Sent them back and they politely asked if we wanted them redone, we agreed to give them another chance. The 2nd set was terrible as well. They all had a ridiculous amount of gristle, making them hard to cut. If you're charging that much for a rib-eye, please don't serve such obviously cheap cuts or get a better supplier. The manager was polite the 1st time. The second time I pointed out that mine was well done. He insisted it was medium. I'm NOT blind! I know what medium looks like. I tried to eat they're juicier part without further complaint. It was mostly fat, I left the other part. The only thing on my plate that was edible was the mashed potatoes. The roasted vegetables were well seasoned, but very dry. I forced a few down and stopped. The saving gave was that they took the streaks off our bill so we tipped the difference to the server, because she was amazing and held it together thru our experience. We might return for appetizers and drinks, but NEVER a steak. Everyone deserves a second chance when they are courteous. I'll try something else in the menu and see if it's well made. On another good note: my cousin had the ribs and they were good and tender. His sides were perfectly done. So I guess what I'm ultimately saying is, order anything except the steaks or roasted veggies.

Listen I'm giving a one star only as a review of the pizza. $35 for a fake deep dish. This isn't deep dish pizza. Sauce was horrible. Pizza was just thick crusted and then floppy falling apart. Never order this pizza. But the other food on their menu is fantastic. Just feeling ripped off. Response to BJ'S: Pretty hard to talk to a manager when we ordered to go. Didn't realize how bad it was until we got home. Also we drove to hagerstown from martinsburg just to try your pizza since all the rest of your food is usually really good. Feeling disappointed and ripped off.

My wife ordered boneless chicken wings and they sucked. They were 90% breading for $18, what a ripoff. The atmosphere is like eating in a cafeteria, loud to the point you couldn't have a conversation without yelling. The only thing good was the waiter. I'll never go there again.
