Gloria was awesome with serving us. The food is the best Mexican food I have ever tasted! I can’t wait to come back to visit New York. This will be my first stop!!!
We saw a video on instagram of the birria tacos. They taste just as amazing as they looked in the video. The salsa they serve with the tortilla chips is to die for. We could eat a gallon! My husband got the Al Pastor chimichanga. He said it was so good we had to get one to go and we did 😄The service was fantastic. The restaurant is so pretty the colors are vibrant and the music was perfect. The prices were great, very affordable especially for the portion sizes. They also do catering for events. We will be going back
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mexico City, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely fantastic—every dish was bursting with authentic flavors and made with care. My party and I tried the birria ramen, which was rich, hearty, and full of depth. The tender pieces of birria, paired with fresh cilantro, diced onions, and melted mozzarella cheese, made every bite incredibly satisfying. We also shared the mini family pack of tacos and two orders of the traditional birria tacos—both were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. To top it all off, the smoothies were homemade and simply amazing—refreshing, full of fruit, and a perfect complement to the savory dishes. If you're looking for bold flavors and a true taste of Mexico, Mexico City is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Hello world for my daughter's 13th birthday dinner we went to Mexico City before her birthday party. This voice was chosen by my daughter Snow White after she went with her friend Nea for her birthday party. The drinks at this place virus regular drinks is awesome the food is fantastic and they do serve vegan dish. Customer service is friendly and polite and the cost great. Try it out for yourself you won't go wrong. Have a beautiful blessed day ❤️🤩💯💯💯 Mrs. Claudia White 🥰
This is my new favorite place to eat out. The food is delicious, the server is very patient, and the atmosphere is lovely. My only complaint would be the ant problem in the dining room. Other than that this place is amazing and deserves more customers.
By far our favorite Mexican restaurant. The service is the absolute best. The food was AMAZING! It makes us wish we lived even closer but we can’t wait to come back ASAP!! Thank you everyone that took care of us at Mexico City! 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nice little locally owned restaurant. I was born and raised in California, from a Mexican family. It has been difficult finding real Mexican food in the Buffalo area, and I think this was the ticket! I had the veggie picaditos. My husband had the tacos birria, which he loved. This is the first Mexican restaurant he's eaten at since we moved to Wny that he enjoyed and would want to visit again. I'm vegan so it's great to find a place that has options for everyone.
El pastor birria tacos were phenomenal. The elote also was perfect. Service was quick and friendly. Got food twice and was definitely way better the first time but both times were great and will be back.
Fun and quirky local Mexican restaurant. I’ve been here several times in the past few years and always come back for the delicious food. When coming here you have to be a bit patient. There have been times they are out of basic items and the service isn’t bad but it’s not always fast. Once you get over this and taste the food you will appreciate the laid back atmosphere and can be entertained by things like the constant changing lawn signs. This time I came specifically for the Birria tacos which have been a somewhat newer addition to the menu and not offered when I went in the past. I have been seeing the social media posts and the tacos look to die for. I was not disappointed! They were phenomenal and tasted like I was eating off a local Mexican taco cart on vacation. The portion was huge. 3 tacos stuffed with juicy and flavorful shredded meat. This was good enough but then you tasted the consume which made this dish to die for. There is nothing that could have made this dish better. I will be back again soon just for this. I easily stretched this into 2 meals with no side dishes besides chips and salsa. I also got a side of chips, salsa and guacamole. More on the chips below. The guacamole and salsa was fresh and delish! In the past when we have come we really liked the mix nachos which have chicken, steak and pork as toppings. The chips here are nice and thick, salty and freshly fried. The chips and toppings are the perfect ratio to one another and the chips don’t break from the weight of the toppings. The meats are always well cooked and flavorful. The tamales and tacos have also been very good. For street style taco varieties the portion sizes are very healthy. I appreciate the fact that there are multiple Mexican style meat options such as chorizo, al pastor, lengua, carnitas and others in addition to the basic chicken and ground beef. One tip I have if ordering the mini tacos is that they are very small. We thought would be street style sized tortillas but they were a bit smaller. I would say a hungry adult might need 5/6 if not eating a side of some sort. We weren’t full after 3 each. I highly recommend coming to check this place out. Hopefully after covid ends they will have their liquor license for margaritas!
This is the best Mexican in the city. It started out in South Buffalo a Valle of Mexico, then moved to Hamburg as Valle of Mexico II, and now it has been rebranded and under new management and ownership by an incredibly capable and talented woman, and is called Mexico City. This restaurant has had it's ups and downs over the years while getting its footing, but do not judge this place by its past iterations. This is THE best Mexican, and the most authentic in the area. The food quality is always top notch and never disappoints. I cannot say how much I love the mole sauce- it is what mole sauce SHOULD be. Everything from he salsas, the tamales, the guacamole, the flan, all the meats- every single thing is hand made, and made with love and recipes that have survived generations. It is my favorite comfort food, and food that everyone I share it with is in love with after. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and you need to get there and try it for yourself.
Went here for my brothers birthday dinner after a friend's recommendation definitely did not disappoint food was absolutely delicious not a long wait drinks were a amazing homemade horchata chips, and salsa and excellent friendly service from the staff we live fairly far but will definitely be back!
Stopped in to get take out a few weeks prior and was very impressed with the quality and flavor of the wraps. Went back for Taco Tuesday to try the all you can eat tacos, the dine in service was good, food was fantastic as it was before. I was only able to eat 4 different meats and all were cooked and flavored perfectly. Definitely a smaller family restaurant and authentic Mexican menu items. Prices are not any different than anywhere else. 39.24 for 2 people diner and sodas.
Lupe was an absolute doll! Fast service. Super hot and tasty food! Great drinks to go along! Took home a Jesus Josh Allen candle and left happy and full. Ready to come back for their Tuesday unlimited tacos and ramen!😮💨
I'm so surprised that this place wasn't packed when we got there! Delicious food, excellent service and well worth what we paid. Oh and the salsa you get with the chips should be sold in stores! #Bussin Don't sleep on this place!!!
food is soooo fresh and absolutely delicious and authentic... worth the 45 min drive from akron every time. come for the tuesday all you can eat, its totally worth it. staff is extremely friendly too!
My husband and I were driving by in a new area when the bright colors of this restaurant caught our eye. We LOVED it! From the music, the decor, the presentation in the food, and the amazing staff. There’s such a lovely Mexican bodega vibe that offers all kinds of snacks and Mexican artifacts! Let’s get to the food part though, the food is amazing and it’s extremely beautiful to see the amount of effort in the presentation! I have never seen it elsewhere and I’m obsessed. Completely recommend.
Had a wonderful experience at Mexico City! Staff was prompt & welcoming. Cute aesthetic inside. We ordered the QuesaBirria and would highly recommend it as it’s full of flavor and just smacked every taste bud with deliciousness. Just bring a friend or a few because this thing is HUUUUGGEEE (shoutout to Fucillo). 🤣 The cocktails are also very tasty and generous! I would recommend the Horchata. We will definitely be back! My only gripe is that they don’t have a location in the city of Buffalo yet BUT it’s definitely worth the drive! See the full review on our food blog IG: @Foodieswbootys_
Amazing, authentic Mexican food here. Go for the experience, you wont regret it! I can't wait to return! Thank you!
Came in on a taco tuesday for all upu can eat tacos and Hands down best tacos in town!! I got one of every kind with the birra Ramen. I also ordered the elote and omg it was amazing! The deserts looked amazing I wanted nothing more than to order the tres leche shakes but I had no room for more, I am definitely making another trip to come back!!
First had them at the Puerto Rican festival- amazing. Just came to their restaurant and Lupe was an awesome server! The food was delicious, highly recommend the birria tacos and Ramen!! The corn was perfect and sweet. The drinks are so cute with little gummies! (Also had some of the best salsa ever)
Honestly went cause I saw their videos online. Looked super good 👌. They did not disappoint! The tacos were amazing. Ramen was delicious 😋 the best part was the pina colada came in a pineapple!!! That was amazing!!!! I would recommend anyone to try this place! And yes they do get very busy.
If I could give more than five stars, I would. The Mexico City food truck at the Seneca Hawk Travel Center is an absolute gem. I’ve traveled all across the country and tasted Mexican food in countless cities, but nothing compares to this. Every bite of my burrito was packed with fresh, authentic flavors — you could truly taste the love and tradition in the cooking. Hector, the owner, shared that the recipes come straight from his mother, passed down through generations, and it shows. From the homemade beans and rice to the fresh ingredients and real Mexican Cokes made with pure cane sugar, every detail is crafted with care. This isn’t just food — it’s an experience. You can feel the soul of Mexico in every bite. If you find yourself anywhere near the Seneca Hawk Travel Center, do yourself a favor and stop at this food truck. It’s some of the best, most heartfelt cooking you’ll ever have. ⸻ And best homemade hot sauce I have ever had, hot but flavorful. Hector has been cooking there for 40 years.
Let me start by saying WOW I mean W O W. This place is amazing. The food is phenomenal, savory, and plentiful. Authentic Mexican flavors and they do not skim on flavors. The ambience easily transports you to a village in Mexico where you will encounter a homemade meal. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. There’s is also a diverse selection of Mexican candies. Please come show this family owned authentic Mexican restaurant some love. You will not be disappointed.
I’m almost positive that this is some kind of laundering front 😂, but I have to say that their Birria Tacos are the best I’ve ever had, and despite the insane price, I buy from them several times a year. It comes off a little gaudy, but that almost ends up aiding the authentic Mexico City experience 😂. I almost never see them with customers. It’s almost always empty. The staff are not very bubbly. But I would argue that the food makes it worth the price, and there probably isn’t a more authentically Mexican experience in Western New York. If they bring down the prices, I would buy from them once a week.
tldr: The food was great, we will go back. Yes like other reviews say, service was a little slow and it was pretty empty when we got there (things picked up a little after a while and there were about 4 or 5 other tables when we left). But it was just one person working service, including the pickups and online orders. We weren't in a rush and the food was good, so we didn't mind. We split the quesabirria between 4 people and ended up taking some of it home. I enjoyed the horchata, and my friend said the elote was really good too.
If the parking lot and the building look rough, it's because they are making magic in the kitchen. They got priorities! No alcohol there, but still got some good drinks! Birria ramen is amazing! Never had cheese in ramen before, but I highly recommend.
This place has SO much potential! The ramen was AMAZING!!!!!!! With that said they really need to scrub the restaurant top to bottom it was dirty. They need to update/take down old decor and open a few windows. Salsa/queso was served in plastic containers ( maybe go to the dollar store and get actual bowls) Our waitress was super pleasant. There was only one other table in there on a Saturday night which tells me there might be a problem. Again food was so good but I think cons that I mentioned are really going to hurt this place. Cleaning/decor/ proper serving bowls and airing out the place would be a huge improvement.
We had a huge!! order and everything was correct and really good. The drinks were definitely fun and tasted good. The Birria tacos are hard to beat. Definitely the al pastor is a hit. Only reason it’s 4 stars is the pushy tip asking and the confusion when you sit and order. You gotta get up and order up front instead of with the waitress. It’s all good but just confuses some folks who expect a typical sit down experience. The food is super good and deserves 5 stars.
I saw a lot of horrible reviews for this place, but my experience was not bad what so ever. A lot of people were complaining about the smell and cleanliness, and what I have to say about that, is those people don't know what they're talking about. It is like they expect everything to be so clean that you can eat off the floor, but clearly they have never been to an ethnic restaurant. Sure, they restaurants usually aren't up to the same par as your stuck up rich people places, but it's not horrible. It was no different to any other mexican place I've been to, and it definitely was much cleaner than half of the asian places I've stopped by. Sure, if you go to big chains, they look much cleaner, but that's because they're a chain and have loads of money to remodel all the time. But go to Denny's and drag your finger along the walls, they're always sticky and disgusting. Sure this place wasn't immaculate, but I didn't have an issue. The staff was super friendly and they actually interacted with us, the food was good; my only complaint about the food was the tortillas were a little to crispy for my liking, but overall it was good. One of the staff members was singing while we ate, creating a good atmosphere. The staff actually SMILED, unlike when I go to plenty of chain restaurants. Our server even brought us a free dessert. They were just very friendly and welcoming. Who seemed to be one of the owners even said as we were leaving "Thank you for coming in and trying our food" with a big smile. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot.
Can't truthfully say it's good or bad. Only a girl running the restaurant and it's not big. They are more of a store to sell Mexican items and over priced food and drinks. A can of pop for $2, Mexican hotdogs for $3 these are the cheapest things on the menu all others are over $12. They also give you chips and watery salsa that you pay for even if you didn't want it $8.50! Don't u derstand what the hype is on Facebook for them!
We were really excited to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, after waiting over 1 hour and 20 minutes for our order there were items missing especially the Consòme! We also ordered chips and salsa & there was barely any salsa in the container they put it in. Considering we spent well over $75, I would’ve appreciated a better experience. Overall, the food we did get was very good!
I thought my tacos were good, the soup was not good it was extremely oily and it had what looks like left overs in it. I hated my tamale it was so dry and so was the meat inside it was inedible. My rice was undercooked and hard but it had good flavor. I might give this place a try again and get different things. I didnt hate it but I didnt love it. Also I called when I came to the restaurant to ask for instructions for my pick up. I could see in the restaurant only one person was inside getting a pick up order 4 people were working the woman behind the counter picked up the phone and immediately hung it up so I just went in and got my order.
First the Food was REALLY good! I’ve had Barria tacos before and these were the best I’ve had. My husband got the barria ramen. It was really good he was impressed. Now the far as the restaurant it isn’t appealing AT ALL. I would take my food to go next time. Also the service was really slow it took like 15 mins for a drink when we first arrived and we were the only ones there, and it was really pricey too. $90 for barria tacos, ramen and 2 drinks and chips. The food was really good but because the environment and service wasn’t good it’s not worth $90.
We were the only people in the restaurant, service took a very long time. We were given chips and salsa immediately but had to wait 30+ minutes to get our drinks (I had to remind the waitress when our food came out). There was a water leak right in the middle of the restaurant into a bucket. After looking at other reviews, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Still not worth how expensive it is though. Tried it once, will stick to other restaurants.
So from the start, we had to pay upfront before we got our food which was about 80 dollars. We ordered 6 birria tacos, ramen and 2 drinks. There was not many people there and our food took a really long time...After a while we received the tacos but not the Ramen-when asked they told us that would take a least another half hour because of the broth We requested a refund for the Ramen. We also had to remind them about our drink as well. The tacos were decent (More cheese than meat) but way too greasy. Will not be returning and not worth the hype.
$21.75...very small amount of food for that price. the peppers were raw, the meat tough and chewy, the beans had a burnt taste and the rice was bland they boast about being the best mexican food around. if they are you'se dont know mexican. i've had better from an old broke down bus along the highway
I never bother to write a review but since I'm being asked.. I've been real exited to go here for month and as a mom who doesn't get to enjoy a date night alone with hubby this was finally going to be the night. Well most importantly the Quesabiria was good and huge so no complaints in that department but the service was lacking and the ambiance and whole appearance of the place left me disappointed. We walked in as 1st timers and no one was there to greet us so we awkwardly walked in to the counter thinking you must have to place the order and then sit yourself, someone eventually asked if we were dining in or taking out and seated us... As soon as we sat she asked if we wanted drinks but didn't give us any run down on the options that I later saw on a TV screen that were not in the menu. Also the lady who took our order never came back but there was another waitress and I guess a random lady who just looked to be cleaning so I stopped her to ask for Togo boxes and some more soup to go, the other waitress (not ours) aporoached the table because that "cleaning lady" dint speak English and dint understand what I was asking... We sat for a while waiting for our bill once we had boxed and bagged up our food so you could clearly see we were ready to go but still our waitress never showed and eventually the others waitress asked if we were ready to pay but I wanted to get the desert to go 1st and wasn't sure what a Napolitano flan was (I assumed it would be like a neopolitan version of a flan with chocolate, vanilla and a strawberry layer) she was dismissive in explaining what it was and just said it's a Mexican cheesecake (now I'm dominican so I'm very aware of what a Flan is but what if I never heard or seen one before) I wish they would of had a picture or detail describing it or even just showed it to me before adding it to my bill and giving me this sad little thin piece of dry flan smh. When finally I saw our original waitress I told her we were ready to pay and she seemed surprised and asked if the other girl hadn't rung us out... She went to the counter and was hollering back and forth to us what else we ordered (unprofessional) then brought the slip and walked away but we already had our card out ready to pay since we were sitting so long 🤦🏾♂️ the cleaning lady just came up and grabbed the card but dint check us out either cause I'm guessing she didn't know how and looked to be looking for our waitress.. Although the food was delicious At this point I was so annoyed with the sloppy service that we decided not to tip because honestly who were we tipping? I probably should of asked to see the cool and just tipped them and the cleaning lady who brought me more soup and the Togo containers 😂 Anyways, I would recommend just getting your food to go instead of dining in because I don't think we'll be
I really want to love this place but I cannot. Went there for their taco Tuesday deal after the lunch hour rush.... 1:30 ish. Not crowded at all. 19.99 all you can eat tacos. Ordered six tacos as I was aware of them charging extra for uneaten orders. Came out around 1:50. Enjoyed them and ordered four more......and waaaaaaited. The other gentleman working there came out and asked if I needed anything. Informed him I was waiting on an order. Came out at 2:59....was still hungry but didn't want to wait another hour for another round. Probably could have had 15-20 tacos. Definitely doesn't foster an all you can eat environment. Either have tacos on the ready or do away with the waste fee. Almost better off taking the $20 and hitting Taqueria Ranchos on Tuesday or Acapulco on Mondays for their $1.99 taco specials.....I really want to like this place but 10 tacos in 90 minutes on an all you can eat menu just doesn't cut it.
Unfortunately, this has to be one of the worst tacos I've had in the area. I was really rooting for them because it looks like a family owned business. I looked at the menu and it seemed a bit pricey but I figured the food will speak for itself. But unfortunately, when I ordered the carne asada tacos, the meat was so tough, that I could barely chew through them. It felt as if the meat was old and they just heated them up. The restaurant wasn't busy at all but it took over 30 min to get 3 tacos and 1 coke. If you are going to change people $28 for 3 tacos and 1 pop, please use fresher ingredients. Also, the building does not look pleasing to go into.
The food is amazing, I can't lie. The issue comes from waiting 1+ past the quoted time being told it's way too busy in the kitchen when there's 1 customer in the building. It sucks because it's not worth trying to get something to eat out of here
The food was absolutley disgusting. The restaurant was so dirty i should have left the moment i realized how dirty is was. So dissapointing. Im still in the parking lot throwing my food out. I love mexican food this isnt it. The chicken wrap they made me the soft taco shell was so stale it was just crispong apart. The rice tasted like dirty water and oil.
Stopped to get food at the restaurant. No customers were there completely dead. Ordered carne asada and chicken tacos and 2 drinks- coke & water. TOTAL $47?! She said it’ll be 10 minutes for the food considering there was no one in the restaurant that seemed realistic. Ended up waiting 20 minutes for the entrees. Open the boxes and there’s 3 hard tacos FRIED to the point where we can’t even chew them and food tastes completely horrible. For $47 I expected at least a side of rice or chips & salsa. Very disappointed. Would give 0 stars if I could.
There was open wires hanging ...the roof looked like it was falling in ....the food was cold and gross ....the waitress was not good at all we got our chips and dips after we were served our cold food the only good thing i ordered was the mago drink ...has anyone ever put ice in a milkshake cause my partners was full of it . We drove 2 in half hours because of the posts that have been out ....not worth a 15 min drive in my option ....all and all the place should be closed down . Oh, and something caught on fire. Well, we sat there, and the smell was beyond unbearable
They have a mess not clean at all food is greasy and flavorless they really need to work in cleaning
Customer service was horrible! They forgot to serve some food I ordered. Didn’t tell me that most of the items were gone until I noticed I didn’t get served all my food. But the tacos and the drinks were good. This place has so much potential if they worked on their customer service more!
Had a reservation but had to get our own seats and menus. Air conditioning was set to 30 degrees. Or at least it felt like it. It was so cold I had a running nose. Veryyyyy long wait time, for no apparent reason it was quite empty when we got there. Was A little bit messy place. When our food finally arrived (all you can eat tacos and ramen) they forgot our ramen….tacos were good drinks were good. However…. When the ramen came after I asked for it twice.. it was cold and I found two separate hairs in it. I looked in the back kitchen and saw no one was wearing hair nets. I don’t think I saw gloves either. I was informed that the manager does not care if the employees wear hair nets or not. I was grossed out and left. You couldn’t pay me to go back.
The concept of all you can eat tacos with a number of different tacos on taco Tuesday is great. Problem is the food was awful!! First iff, they got everyone's order incorrect. Second, according to the hostess, customizing your taco is something they don't do because the cooks get "upset." Third, tacos were so oily/greasy you couldn't really eat them. The place itself is really run down, although it was clean inside. Don't waste your money eating there. Chipotle makes better tacos. That tells you all you need to know.
If I could rate any lower I would. I thought I was walking in to a great experience because this “restaurant” was hyped up on social media but I was quickly proven wrong. When you walk in it looks like a corner store but I tried to give them a chance.(This is where I was wrong.) We we’re told we could seat ourselves and did so, we waited 20 minutes for the woman working there to tell us we had to go up to them and tell them what we wanted to order. When served our food it came on papers plates and the paper they were served on top of stuck to my tacos. Food was very bland. Tv was held up by folded napkin.
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY… Initially walking in the place was filthy, tables were not cleared or wiped clean, mother’s day balloons still up a week later, huge water stain on the ceiling. It took almost 30 minutes to get a drink and almost an hour for the food to come out, place wasn’t even busy… When the food arrived they had no flavor and were so greasy that i had to blot my taco with paper towels… There was no way we were eating this food after thinking about, we paid and left $70 worth of food on the table and left… I really wanted to love this place!!!
Service was lousy. It felt as if waitress was ignoring us. Sat there for over 10 minutes and the owner had to finally take our drink and meal order. It was very smokey in the restaurant and table was not clean. Nachos were over cooked and tacos were still dripping with oil when served. The food was overpriced: $48 for 3 tacos, 3 quesadillas, Sprite and Pepsi.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Truly the worst tacos I've ever had. My fiance found this place on TikTok and wanted to try the birria Ramen & tacos. There were only 10 people in the whole place. Food looked good on the menu so we were excited & starving. Took a minute for drinks and to get our order....that wasn't the issue. Once we ordered it took 45 mins for the food. We got chips & queso, 3 chicken tacos, birria Ramen with tacos, strawberry lemonade and pineapple jarrito. People that had sat down after us had gotten their food before us. When we finally got our food in was not even hot. Absolutely filled with grease and zero flavor. The only flavor you could taste was the flour from the tortilla. I have never wanted to get up without paying ever at a restaurant. This was a first. $80!!!!!! For the worst tacos I've ever had. We are not ones to complain but we couldn't even take the food home it was so bad. The waitress gave us an attitude after we had told them it was so bad. Believe the bad reviews. I'm not sure how this place has so many good reviews. Maybe it was an off day for the workers, im not sure. If you want to spend the rest of your night on the toilet then go here. 0/10 would absolutely never recommend.
Food and service was awful, never threw out or not finished birria tacos before eating from here. was never treated in such a poor way, ordered my food 20 min before getting there and waited another 20 min to get the food, and was treated w disrespect by the owner. the service and food is uncaring. the tacos were truly disgustingly made
One of the worst dining experiences of my life. Extremely over priced. Decoration looks like it’s from party city. didn’t get my food for 45+ mins. waitress barely payed attention to us. I got 2 orders of the birria tacos and ramen and 2 street corn and the total came out to 100$ and a can of soda is 3$. The ramen was essentially mush by the time it got to my table. The tacos don’t come with any toppings besides a Tbsp of salsa. And to put a cherry on top I found a hair in my slasa. Will never come back and will never recommend to anyone.
Saw a tiktok review an it was a good review and the food looked absolutely amazing. I drove 35 mins to try this place out. Arrived at 615pm and didn't leave until 845. For four orders of three tacos and ramen, $157. So disappointed, food was bland, greasy as all hell and so not worth it. I wanted to leave before I got my food but I only had a card and it was taking people 30 mins just to cash out. I don't recommend anyone go here until they get their stuff together. Businesses ran like the way that one is, should be shut down. I've never in my life not left a tip but there's a first for everything I guess.
Genuinely dreadful. We were the only patrons there, and that should have been an immediate red flag. The building is poorly maintained and dirty, the service was sup-par at best, but the worst part BY FAR was the food. I wish I took more pictures. The chips were stale. The queso dip came straight out of the microwave. The rice in my burrito had to have been several hours old, it was overcooked and stale. Our "pinacolada" was a premade fruit smoothie served in a plastic quart container. I wish I was making this up. Never have I been so worried about getting food poisoning from a restaurant. If you're willing to put all that aside for a cheap meal, I'm afraid you will still be disappointed - our meal for two came to over $70. Please take my advice - avoid at all cost.
Waited forever for takeout. Place was empty. Staff kept coming in and out of the kitchen. Laughing. Eating. Getting drink refills in red plastic cups. You could see them standing around. One girl came out from the kitchen and just sat there playing on her phone behind the bar. No excuse for ignoring customers. Not an inviting atmosphere.
Yesterday was not a good experience. The dining area wasn't open had to go through the drive Thru only. I ordered my order she didnt write anything down. She didnt give me everything I ordered and I didn't realize until I got all the way back to buffalo that she didnt give me everything. The food was NOT good the rice in the burrito was hard overall I was very disappointed in my visit I didnt drive all the way there to get takeout!
This is the only time in my life where I took 2 bites of food and had to stop eating. We ordered the beef enchiladas, which cost $23 by the way. Our enchiladas were brought out on paper plates and there was cheese microwaved to the side of my plate. The cheese formed a big blob on the bottom of the plate and it was inedible. The food was not fresh at all and must’ve been made days ago. What a waste of money.
To be fair, the place looks nice, and the food was not that bad. However, the service is horrible. Before we even took a seat they asked us if we want to start with chips which we did and asked for salsa and guacamole. They brought one plate of chips and charged us of two plates because we ordered salsa for $15. We took two bites and went to pay; “because we have to go the the register to order, pay, and ask forks and other things since they don’t come to you”, and as soon as we paid and came back - 3 minutes, they took our food and threw out in the garbage! Untouched plates! The lady at the register commented “that sucks”! Just horrible, I would never recommend this place because of their service! Also, it is very over priced!!
This place should really be shut down, just for sanitation reasons. It’s not kept well on the outside and gross on the inside. Menu had sticky crap all over it, floor is gross. Just overall not a good clean restaurant. The food, I feel like they are doing as little as possible to put out quality food, the corn elote was frozen. The ramen was too salty and I am a salt lover. Missing three items we wanted to even order and had to adjust. I understand when people say it’s empty here. Will not be back.
Waited for 45 minutes for six tacos. Very cold inside the restaurant, as cold as outside (~50 degree). Service is slow and guests are bit confused by their unserious attitude. Food taste "good" but only because it's extremely oily and heavily seasoned and overly salted. Very unhealthy and cheap ingredients. Ridiculously unreasonable price.
when we walked in we waited 5 mins to get seated then when we went to order we had very terrible customer service we ordered are food without onions because we are allergic than we waited 25 minutes to receive are food and we got it with onions we were very excited to try this place and it completely failed my expectations. 0/10 would not recommend
Dirty interior. Chips were stale. Found a body hair in our salsa. Ordered birria tacos, one order for here and one to go…the to go order didnt have any au jus with it. Spent over $105 for mediocre food. Everything comes in plastic containers. Sour cream in packets. For that price expected more. Wont go back.
Please don't go to this place. It's the worst place I have ever been. Food was horrible 😫 services horrible. Place looks like it is falling apart . Employee's looks dirty . It's a disgusting place . Hope the owner tries to do something before having a problem with health department. We stop there because we was just passing from the area we are not local people.
As someone who has lived around the country, I have to say if I could, I’d give this place negative stars. This isn’t authentic Mexican because they want to charge you $1.50 for lettuce and tomato on your tacos, the quality is horrible. I took two bites and gave it to my dog. I paid $25 for a taco salad (it was on the website, so instead it’s a “burrito bowl”) and six mini tacos. The prices and menu selection on the website and in the restaurant are vastly different. The portions were tiny and the whole $.99 tacos were nowhere to be found. I’ve had better from a gas station. The food was cold even before I left the restaurant. Don’t be fooled by the neon and decor, this place is not even worth pulling into the parking lot to check the air in your tires.
I actually ordered through Uber. I ordered fried chimichanga with an extra side of sour cream. I received absolutely no sour cream. The chimichanga tasted as though I’ve been sitting somewhere in an oven. It was dry. The outside was not crunchy. It was hard as a rock.. I ordered churros for dessert. There was no dipping sauce as the picture showed, and they were also hard as a rock probably sitting around all day. I took one bite and I spit it out. I couldn’t tap the side of the churro on the table! Never again!
Terrible experience will never be back again! It smelled terrible water dripping from the ceiling into a bucket right in the middle of the restaurant for starters, my boyfriend ordered steak tacos they brought him out chicken I ordered 2 beef and cheese empanadas THAT NEVER CAME OUT I see every other table that came in after us food coming out and mine still never came no one comes and checks on the tables that place needs to be shut down the floors were filthy and they have the drinks sitting on a table in the sun not even cold I honestly am so annoyed I sat there for an hour waiting for my food to come out that never came PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
I went to eat today with my family and the service was terrible the waitress brought me hot drinks and not even a glass of ice, she brought me my food, some quesadillas with salad, 3 birria tacos and a burrito with salad and they didn't give me cutlery, a 32 ounce rice for the 24 tacos and the same, no plates or cutlery, after asking for glasses of ice, we asked for another soda and she forgot until 10 minutes later when my husband asked for it again, no napkins just a roll of paper towels the one they use in the bathroom We paid and left the food because it really wasn't as it was supposed to be. I left super disappointed. I won't be back.
Extremely extremely filthy I myself personally have never been to a filthy restaurant. There are blankets on the ceilings covering the water leaks in the bathroom the top of the sink fell off it was attached buy spray foam the level of dirt on the floor in the bathroom hallway and main restaurant was absolutely horrendous the windows of the main building are filthy you can't even see outside it's so disgusting. It cost $43 for three of the plainest tacos I've ever eaten it took over an hour to receive three tacos and I forget what else we ordered but it did not come they took it off our bill. I wish I would have taken more photos of how filthy disgusting it actually is
In response to the owner: If you were out of steak, the order should have been canceled or I should have been contacted to approve a replacement. Shredded Birria is not even remotely similar to a whole steak, and it’s definitely not something I would have chosen. I'm extremely disappointed with the unprofessional handling of this situation and the level of customer service I received. Original Post (3/4/2025): I used to love the food here, it USED to be so good, but the last 3 times I ordered from here was absolutely horrible. I will never order from here again. 3 strikes and I’m done. My last order, I ordered the Carne Asada dinner (which cost $22) and what I got was burnt shredded steak or maybe pork. I don’t really know what the meat was but I did taste it and it was too burnt to tell. I ordered it before, about a year ago, and it was a whole steak and it was good, but I guess that’s not how they cook it or make it anymore. I guess now they give you shredded meat of some sort and call it a Carne Asada dinner. Idk if they got a new cook or a new owner, but whatever changed, it’s NOT good! Just saying, you’ve been warned.
Not good. Kitchen was disorganized and smelled like it hasn't been fully cleaned in quite some time. Food is not edible by quality nor cleanliness standards. My fresh quesadilla not only looked, but smelled like it had already expired the first time I opened the container. As you can see, there is the quesadilla and a salad in a pool of grease. No crisp or char at all to the tortilla, the cheese is barely melted, everything is soaked in grease. After this first impression, I cannot go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone. I think I've had high school lunches better than this.
Very disappointed with both the service and quality here. Especially considering how much they charge for items. From the first introduction, our waitress was very spacey and kept forgetting the very simple meals we had ordered. She came back three times to ask... The food itself was a hit and miss. The sides were great. I highly recommend the retried beans as they’re clearly authentic and have outstanding flavor. The main dishes however were quite a disappointment. The ground beef was flavorless, the chips and hard shell tacos were very thick and quite literally PAINful to eat. We won’t be coming back and are disappointed in yet another Mexican restaurant claiming to be “authentic.” Also be cautious of ordering beverages. They do not give free refills on fountain drinks or sweet tea. At $2 a glass, I probably personally bought them 2+ pounds of tea leaves.
