We went to uncle Joe's diner on Thursday June 20,2024, around lunch time. The hostess who is by the door and seats you was rude and very slow. I did not like her attitude at all. When you're a hostess, you should have a happy pleasant personality. She was not happy nor pleasant. We waited with my baby grandson while she did stuff at the register, when we asked her if we should seat ourselves, she cut my husband off as he was asking and said I'll seat you when I give this man his receipt. (the man already went to sit Down) then she proceeded to walk very slowly to him. She eventually came back and very slowly got the menus and silverware and finally took us to our table. My husband and I both agreed she had a bad attitude and was rude. The waitress was a doll and very sweet and helpful. Really nice person. She made our dining experience very enjoyable! Would definitely recommend Joe's diner. The food is excellent and delicious! The portion sizes are very large and literally enough for 2 people! We love uncle Joe's Diner!! Except the hostess.

Very cute hometown diner. I ordered the "Big Joe Burger" with fries and a side salad. Burger was cooked exactly as I like, I loved the fries, and the salad was fresh! Service was outstanding, very personable wait staff. Prices are consistent with similar places in the area as well, nothing to complain about there! Overall I can 100% see me coming back to Uncle Joe's, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a cute diner with good food!

The customer service was very good but as always I have to say that you may have better or worse service than I did, so from what I experienced the customer service was very helpful and nice! The one thing that I was not a fan of is when ordering some food dish side's were not part of the dish ordered but we were not made aware of this so just be careful when ordering! The food was delicious and hot! I actually had a lot to eat, which was totally fine with me, lol! Service kept the coffee cups full and were pretty quick with request for creamers and such! Uncle Joe's Diner is a very cool and comfortable place to eat with good food and very good customer service! It can be pricey for some but Uncle Joe's Diner is a great place to go for a really nice meal and good customer service at least once in a blue moon!

Uncle Joe's was an excellent little place for after Mass breakfast! The wait was about 10 minutes to get a table, but being packed is usually a very good first sign. I'm glad we waited because the service was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fun! The waffles were hot and crispy, the coffee was fresh, and the eggs Benedict was ammmazing!

Uncle Joe's is a 1950s themed diner with a great selection of tasty comfort food. I recommend the baked meatballs, they are delicious! Don't miss the desserts, they've got a great selection, including diner favorites like bread pudding. They also have lots of breakfast favorites.

We had a great dinner. Fish fry was pretty good. Not my absolute favorite but a solid 4 Star. My husband got the western wrap and loved it! The French onion soup was fantastic!

I cannot eat wheat for the life of me, because I’m moderately allergic to it. This is the one place I’ve been to that I didn’t have to eat a burger without a bun because they offer gluten free breads! Thanks for thinking of us who are celiacs or allergic to wheat. I’ll be back real soon!

First time stopping by this place, I loved the 50s diner atmosphere, the staff greeted us promptly and presently. The menu has so many choices. The food was great and really quick considering the place was extremely busy. Our waitress was top notch, knowledgeable of the menu and different choices. I got the turkey dinner. It was fantastic. The stuffing was just the right amount of crispy and soft (reminded me of my mom's). The veggies were cooked just enough and seasoned well (told my friends that the cook deserved a compliment for seasoning the veggies so well.) there was a pile of turkey, and the mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious. I wound up taking leftovers home (and they were delish the second day!) We also ordered dessert to go, I got coconut cream pie (not meringue) but still yummy with thick whipped cream topping. When in Hamburg, stop here!

It's our 3rd visit to Uncle Joe's Diner while on vacation. This time, we drove 13 hours just to get to the diner, specifically for the basket of fries and the best Ruben sandwich. The French Onion soup is excellent too (could be hotter). You can tell it's a favorite place for locals and travelers as well. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. We went there after the light festival last night and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the food was top notch and good sized portions, not skimpy as most places, even the kids had plenty of food. And I have to say, being a Southerner, they served actual sweet tea, not like it is back home, but really close to it. If I am ever back that way, or just take a notion to drive up that way again, I am going back. They earned a lifelong customer.

Uncle Joe's has quickly become my favorite local restaurant since I moved up here from Texas. Great selection with plenty of variety. Fun retro aesthetic. Great portions that aren't too expensive. They have the best Reuben melt I've had so far. I recommend the reuben melt, and their fries go great with malt vinegar. Good apple pie too.

Our plan was to go to another establishment for breakfast but because of the Bils game today, that place was closed. My husband wanted a corned beef hash and cheese omelet from the other place. A Google search brought us to Uncle Joe's. He asked of they would make him the omelet since it wasn't on the menu, and they kindly obliged. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla. My husband said it was one of the best omletes he has had. My quesadilla was so good. The coffee was good, too. We will be back!

Coming back from Niagara Falls we stopped for breakfast and I’m glad we did! What a great find. My breakfast sandwich was so good. My husband has the full breakfast and enjoyed it. We tried this place today for the first time. Mom had Chicken fingers and fries. I had the Reuben melt. Moms Chicken fingers were so big she only ate a little bit. The Reuben was great but the corned beef was more delicious meat like then cut off a piece of brisket. The fries were fresh cut and the gravy on the side was absolutely amazing! Our server was attentive and friendly. The place itself was super busy but super clean which is always a huge plus! Overall a good experience and we will try it again!

*Update* We visited Buffalo again this year, and I can confirm that Uncle Joe's has good every time. The wait staff HUSTLES and the food comes out hot and fresh. Great diner with plenty of items on the menu. I highly recommend the hot turkey sandwich. Fresh and delicious. The gravy is mmmmm!

My first time in NY has been soooo good. Other than breakfast at Denny’s the first day we arrived, everything we ate has been incredible. We saw this diner the first day and after looking for authentic Mexican food and failing, we decided to come here, we just knew it wouldn’t disappoint and it sure didn’t. Parking was easy as they have a huge parking lot. My ma got the weck sandwich, which kept getting recommended and that was pretty dang simple yet supremely delicious. I got breakfast bc I’m a sucker for good breakfast and it really hit the spot. The sauce for the jalapeños cheese sticks was weird but good. My eggs were cooked to perfection and the server, Rich, was amazing! One thing that stood out were the fries! Seriously, some of the best fries I’ve ever had. I stole most of my ma’s fries 😂😂 100/10 would come back !

Yummy - a must go. After last year my sensitivity food list got insane! They handled them with ease and even went off the menu to create Gluten Free French Toast. Holy cow they were so delicious. You definitely know what you’re getting when you go here. Old classic diner atmosphere with great food and service. Pittsburgh salad is phenomenal and my go to when we come here. The kids meal we got for our son the other day was a large portion and we had leftovers for him the next two days. Juke box is in the corner and they sell cool flags and wind socks and apparel. Huge dessert selection as well, hummingbird cake is our favorite (banana bread cake with cream cheese frosting). Highly recommend checking them out if you’ve never been.

We were promptly greeted and shown to a booth. Our food was delicious. If there was only one thing I could change it would be if the offered more than one choice of vegetable with dinners. My dinner was brought out with Brussels sprouts. I don't care for them and if I'd known that was what was going to be served I would have told them to hold the vegetable so not to waste it.

Never go on a Friday. We came in about 4pm on Friday 1/17. 2 of us. Wife ordered Souvlaki meal. I ordered a burger with the egg on it. We both got coffee and she got an ice water. Once we were served coffee and the water we were not spoken to until we got our food. At which time I asked the waitress for a refill on our coffees. We never got that refill. We stopped another waitress walking by with a carafe of coffee to refill. She obliged but walked away too fast for us to request cream. So we sat there waiting for a waitress to come back. Which never happened. We walked in when it wasn’t busy. After we sat the people slowly started piling in. So we ate got up and paid. When asked about our food we responded it was ok. In a way that insinuated we weren’t happy customers and the check out counter girl didn’t see to really care. First and last time going to this place. I had high hopes.

Restaurant has great food, but one employee needs to work on their service. I ordered off of DoorDash the other day and chose two sides, and when my order came, I only received one. A snarky message was left on my receipt saying, "YOU ONLY GET 1 SIDE!!!" with "one side" underlined and the sides on the receipt circled. Even though they allow you to pick more than one, past orders from myself and other family members have received multiple sides. A simple call to clear up the issue would have sufficed, and I would have understood despite what the diner allows on the app. I brushed it off and ordered again for my family, and my grandma wanted hash browns. Again, the store allowed me to pick hash browns on DoorDash, and when the order came, they didn't have her order. The same handwriting was on the receipt saying, "DON'T SERVE HASHBROWNS MON-FRI!!" I could understand if they were out, but why can people order them if you don't serve them the whole week??? And why add the snarky messages on the receipt instead of contacting me directly? Other places have no issue calling when there is an issue to work it out and figure out another option, but whoever left these messages lacks professionalism in customer service.

I haven’t been here in probably 20 years but recently some out of town guests wanted to grab some lunch. It’s your standard diner with indoor and some covered outdoor seats. It’s cute and and homey inside with a dessert carousel, outdoor flags which are for sale and placemats covered in local business advertisements. I ordered the wings but was told they were out. Completely understandable but it would be nice to know that before I sat down to and picked my order. I then set my sights on the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries because they did stock GF bread. Usually when you order a grilled cheese at a restaurant it’s delicious and better than what you would make at home, probably all the extra butter on the griddle. Sadly, this was not that. The gluten free bread had a weird texture. It’s disappointing because GF products have come a long way and nowadays you usually can’t even tell the difference. The bread wasn’t that crispy and the cheese was melted but could have been left on the griddle longer. It was more like something you could find on a buffet or a school cafeteria. The good news is that the fries were delicious, crispy and hot. This was just ok. I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

Quite possibly the worst hamburger I have ever had. Dry, tasteless hockey puck. Dry bun. No seasoning. Said it came with all the trimmings and I got nothing. Super long wait for the food and it was not that busy.

Got a Buffalo Chicken Salad - lettuce was wilted like it had been left out, wasn’t even cut & separated so I basically got a whole head of lettuce- chicken fingers were literally soggy 100% wasn’t fresh , ranch was gross , feta was gross .. how can that even be possible? Can tell that the morning staff is better than the afternoon- please have management come in & retrain or watch the cooks, cook the food bc I will never be ordering from here again which is disappointing. It seems as though the workers didn’t even wanna work, standing around talking not taking care of tables.
