This is my second visit at Dennys, located in Harlingen. Both trips were handled by Lidia and she is phenomenal. Courteous, friendly, and always checking on us. Great service.

Teams are waitress is exceptional, professional, informed, helpful and service drinks are quick service is great.

The best thing for me at Dennys is not only the food but the service we get from all servers. Erika does a great job of arriving to the table with a contagious big smile with something new every time me & my father go have lunch. You ever have an appetite for something and not quit know what it is? I had a deep craving for a salmon burger with something on the side. While driving through TX we dropped in at Dennys in Harlingen. I looked at the menu and our server Cassandra helped me hook up my salmon dinner and added the following sautéed vegetables: onions, diced tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, with Swiss cheese on a toasted burger bun along with my 2 sides -broccoli and wild rice. The salmon was juice, the vegetables were sautéed and full of flavor and the bun was crispy and held its own. Fantastic🔥😊 All I can say is that I have found the place to enjoy my “ don’t hate me cause I’m sexy” Salmon Burger. Shout out to Mr Marco for the great atmosphere of hospitality. Coffee ☕️ was a bit strong, a bit more water next time, or had been heated to too long, burnt flavor. Otherwise, food was good. No complaints from the family. In restaurant area seemed, or maybe where I was sitting at, a little muggy or wet smell. Like old dirty water smell. I went and had dinner with my nephews after the movies. I think maybe the crew was tired. The restaurant was half full because a section was closed off so we had to wait for 10 min. With COVID I have to consider Denny's one of the restaurants out there to still keep things as normal considering what is going on. I do think the food and service were it bit less than good as usual due to this and it's staff being exhausted. I ordered the 3 appetizer. Double cheese sticks and onion rings. The cheese sticks were cooked crispy golden brown. Very well done but the onion rings were a little burned. I also ordered the caramel pancakes which didn't disappoint. Yummy. My nephews orders the fish which was a little dry but the sides were very good. My other nephew ordered the chicken fried steak, large Texas portions. The mash potatoes were done with real potatoes but the corn was not that good. My other nephew ordered the grand slam which was all cooked accordingly well. And my other nephew ordered the sandwich with fries which was also very good. They needed more waiters. Hopefully the economy picks up and people will go back to work. The waiter did his best considering the amount of tables he had to serve. We waited patiently because we understand the situation. Again Denny's, THANK YOU for keeping the American traditions alive, where we live in country and the great state of Texas for allowing us our freedom.

Went for dinner, server was very friendly and professional but the food, i found what looked like mold on the hash brown. I don't think i will be ordering anything with hash browns in the future. Everything else was ok.

When I got to Denny's for breakfast I got greeted and sited right away. Goo thing because I was starving. The waiter came and took my order. Very polite young man who brought me everything that I requested but then that was It. He Never came Back to see if I needed anything else or a coffee refill. I had to flag someone for a refill. But the young didn't hesitated to bring me the bill. Oh, the other I could hear the waitress in back talking about what time they had leave and one of them shouted out to the Manager that she needed to leave. And thats because I forgot my hearing aids. Do say my breakfast was good. My eggs were perfectly cooked.

I just had the Alaskan salmon. And I couldn't help it but to notice that portions of the meal was disappointing. It was a very small dish compared to the picture when i had ordered it. So i had to order a plate of fries just to get somewhat full.. But overall the food was very delicious.

Definitely a rough place the menus had random stains/goop in them a pretty gross way to start your meal. It was a pretty rough experience the whole way through.

Came to dennys with my wife awhile back during evening hours and it was the worst experience. We were told to sit at whichever table & waited 25 minutes just to get our order taken. We got our drinks & my wife’s cup was almost full to the brim. I wondered why she didn’t fill mine all the way up but then we looked at hers. The cup was filled up to hide the fact that there was food stuck on there & the waitress thought we wouldn’t notice. So when we told her something she pretended to sound surprised & sorry. It was disgusting. When you looked around, no tables were immediately getting cleaned up. There were tables with food & plates still on them at least for an hour & none of the workers picked up their tables after a customer left. We looked over to see why but some of the workers were sat down just having a chat instead of cleaning up. Don’t come here, the place is disgusting.

Food is good, not worth the service, and then to force your customers to pay 18% gratuity with a party with 6+ is insane, the service sucks, we're ignored but I'm suppose to leave 18%? I placed an online ordered when I went to pick it up they said the kitchen was closed and they couldn’t offer me a refund. Workers were no help and seem very nonchalant and uninterested in helping me. Also, if they’re closed, why aren’t the doors locked? Update contacted corporate and they are even more useless still haven’t received a refund or been contacted by anyone .

We placed an order online when I got there. They told me the kitchen was closed for fumigation. They made no attempt to cancel the order or issue a refund. I spoke to the manager in charge and they were of no assistance. And made remarks about me when I was trying to resolve it there in store. I’m having to deal with it through the bank

If I could, I’d give this place a 0 star. The chicken bourbon skillet had rust all over it. I asked the manager and he said “oh, someone didn’t clean it right”. My husband and step son had already got their food and it’s sitting there getting cold all because they have to wait for a remake. Then our waitress informs us they didn’t start the remake, that it was going to take another 20/30 mins. Then I ask her to just box it when they are done because we were waiting for two hours and my plate still wasn’t done and the appetizer was never even placed on the order because she never took it. Then less then 10 minutes pass and I received my chicken in a to go box only to find out it’s the exact same chicken that I had picked at with my fork to show them the skillet had rust. The manager was so rude and then I told him if this was the same chicken and he stayed quiet. I told him it looked exactly like the chicken that I had poked and it literally had the marks from the fork on it!!! I recommend nobody eats from here! It is both unsanitary and a safety hazard and just plain poor customer service. I will be making a call to the health department to let them know exactly the type of food and safety conditions going on in that place. I am beyond upset. Especially when your trying to have a nice night out with your family on Christmas Eve!!!! Manager in charge name is Hilario Ortiz . He should be demoted to CSR and take a class or two on customer service.
