My dinner was really great. I love the concept of feeding those less fortunate and contributing in some way.

I just got home from eating at Gather55 and wanted to write a review immediately! More people need to know about this place! I took my friend here for a birthday breakfast. Both of us had never been but have been trying to get here for a long time!! We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. Our waitress Crystal come over to introduce herself and to take our drink orders. When she brought them, she asked if it was our first time visiting, and we both said yes. Crystal was very excited and said that she loves when new people come in! She told us all about the menu and the price schedule and let us have a few minutes to look over the menu. We both ordered the breakfast scramble Which was delicious! When Crystal came back to check on our food, she offered to tell us how she came to working there. At the end of our meal, she asked if we wanted any of the amazing looking bakery items that they had for sale, to which I ordered a cinnamon roll to go, but found it difficult to decide because everything in that case looked delicious! When Crystal came to bring us the check saying happy birthday to my friend and we were delighted to discover that she’s got an amazing voice! She should definitely sing more often. The whole experience was incredible and I can’t wait to come back to try dinner with the rotating chefs that come through. It is such an amazing concept that they have their, I love that they have different chefs come through so the menu never gets boring or tired, and the enthusiasm and friendliness of everybody who works there made our experience that much more enjoyable.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant but would forget about it. When I saw an article in the Local paper about a chef from Mystic being the guest chef for April that got my attention. I made a reservation for Thursday night and we brought our own bottle of wine. We had appetizers, entrées and one dessert. Everything was wonderful and our server, Lorenzo was so knowledgeable and engaging.

I've been to The Gather three times, and every time, the food and service have been amazing. Andrea has been our waitress, and she is just great. You can see her passion, and she will give you great recommendations. The food is comparable if not better than any high-end restaurant in Hartford County.

Omg! Ryan, who served us was like a proprietor at his own establishment. His knowledge and enthusiasm was an absolute delight! Andrea who also served us was equally amazing, and between them both it was the best restaurant service I’ve ever had! Their passion for the mission enlivened the whole experience. The food was outstanding. The guest chef concept was unique, very upscale, and perfectly executed. Finally, the artwork made it feel like we were in a gallery. The decor and ambience was classic/modern chic. Overall, I hope people who usually default to dinner in West Hartford, try this place. We plan to make it a regular destination for sure!

Gather55 is a hidden gem. The restaurant is run by Hands on Hartford, a non-profit with a wonderful mission. They offer reduced price meals to those in need earlier in the day and offer white tablecloth service for dinner. They offer two or three course fixed price meals as well as a la carte. The dishes are prepared from recipes donated by local chefs. The Bolognese and Chicken Milanese are two of my favorites. I have been several times now and each experience was wonderful. On our last visit Crystal was our server. She was delightful!

The food was absolutely amazing! We had a group of 12 folks for a bit of a family gathering and every single minute of the experience was one I would do over and over again just so I can try everything on the menu. The chicken fell of the bone it was so tender, the soft shell crab was cooked to perfection and the olive cake (chefs kiss). The service was great was well, the servers were gracious and kind enough to explain the nuances on some of the dishes to my sister. They really had the nuances down-packed. I was concerned since we had so many children in our party but how we were treated and the graciousness the servers provided to the kids put me at ease. The restaurant is located in a medium sized dining hall and were able to accommodate us easily. Even with many kids in our party. 10/10 would absolutely recommend Gather55

I went to Gather55 for dinner this past Saturday and I was very impressed! I had the 3 course prix fixe menu. I chose the Lobster Ravioli as my appetizer, which was outstanding. Then I had the Margherita Tiger Shrimp as my entrée and the Flourless Chocolate Torte for dessert, both of which were delicious. All of those dishes come from recipes created by different chefs from Gather55's rotating guest chefs. Where else can you mix & match from different accomplished chefs as you like?! Furthermore, I ordered coffee with dessert and to my delight the server offered warm milk to accompany the coffee. The atmosphere at Gather55 is classy without being pretentious. The fresh flowers on each table were a very nice touch. To top it off, dining at Gather55 supports the excellent community work that Hands On Hartford does!

What a great hidden gem of a restaurant. Excellent food that is beautiful platted. Menu lists the local chefs that have donated their time and recipes to this restaurant. Service was knowledgeable and very friendly comparable to any high-end restaurant. The best part... all the profits from Gather55 go to helping the community lift themselves up. Since my last review we held a 40 Birthday party at Gather 55. The place was perfect for our party. We went with pre fix menu. which included 3 Apps, 4 choices for entrée, one desert. The appetizers and meal were delish and very plentiful. People took food home! Andrea and the team were very accommodating. Allowing us to decorate the room, arrange the table and tap into their spotify so we could play our choice of music. Everyone from the Bartender to the servers were very friendly and professional. In fact a server surprised the room with her professional voice and sang Happy Birthday. They made the event easy to plan and eventful. Everyone invited appreciated that some portion of the cost goes to helping the missions programs. Thanks Gather 55

One of our favorite spots, and it supports a great cause. Local chef created dishes with frequently changing menu. Also reliably has good vegan options.

At Gather55 in the day, you get a good meal at a great price. At night we can eat a 3 course meal and leave what we can. What’s wrong with that? Andrea is just doing her job. She didn’t make the rules. She’s always been nice to me.”)

Four of us ate here last Saturday evening. It was such a treat. To start off, the staff, only two people working!, were terrific! They were helpful, funny, knowledgeable, gracious and extremely capable. They handled an almost full dining room deftly. The food was delicious. By far, the best was the pork chop with arugula salad - best EVER. We had the chicken on pureed eggplant and the fish. All appetizers were delicious. Wine was creatively paired with each dish, if you wanted suggestions. Nice touch. Great value. Twenty percent "donation" added to the check in lieu of a tip. We left more on top of that. What an innovative and incredible concept. Kudos to those who make it all work. We will definitely be back.

I came with my grandfather and it was our first time! It was awesome. We had the cod.

My family and I eat in many of the best restaurants in Connecticut and across the east coast. This restaurant can hold its own with any top tier restaurant. Service was excellent and the food was very surprising on just how good each course was. We will definitely be coming back again and a again. Thank you for a wonderful evening and great food!

Great place to have breakfast or lunch, great service the staff are awesome huge shout out to the staff Raymond, Angel, Crystal and Hanna. Please go and have a great meal with great customer service

This is a wonderful fine dining experience! The food is delicious, and the wine selections are lovely. This restaurant has a fantastic mission in that the restaurant also helps raise money to feed the community. We love dining here!

From our opening non-alcoholic cocktails, to the best cheesecake ever, all our meals were amazing. A hidden gem! (Just add sugar in the raw in the sweetener dish)

The food from the rotating chef is excellently cooked with flavor combinations you wouldn't expect. The staff is nice and knowledgeable about the old warehouse building it is in and did an excellent job refurbishing it to modern standards without losing the old architecture. The fact it helps fund the food bank and other charitable projects is just another great aspect.

Tonight was my third time visiting Gather 55. The food is out if this world with local chefs contributong their time and recipes to this non profit restaurant inside of Hands on Hartford. The pork chop milanese is to die for! The apple spice cake was chef’s kiss! Support Hartford and eat here! Wine and beer only FYI

Great place, clean, diverse menu and does an excellent job at contributing for the positive to the community. Cool thing is servers can't accept tips here so any extra you leave goes towards the community.

We had a small reunion of close friends on a Saturday and this restaurant was amazing. Service by the friendly staff was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the tables looked pretty. Truly a great asset to the community and to all who want a unique and excellent place to dine.

Great spot. Amazing meal, portions are large, food is super good, wine on point, can't say enough. Prices for the high end food are amazing. Didn't even want to write this review because I don't want other people finding it but you should haul right over there.

Sweet night w friends at Gather 55. My first time there. Food and service were outstanding!! What an important contribution to the Hartford community to have Gather 55 and all the supports they provide for many.

We were thrilled to celebrate my husbands birthday at a restaurant. The food was delicious, favorites dishes of local chefs & the portions were huge & we were happy to pay a fair price all the while making a difference !

This place is a gem. The kale salad and pork chop are my go to. I'm not a big salad person and let me tell you...I've dreamt about it!! And don't get me started on the oatmeal cookie with the amazing sweet potato frosting cream.

Delicious food and great atmosphere in a historic charming building. You won't find better and more passionate servers. They are doing a great thing here and you leave feeling better and well-fed.

The kale salad with that garlicky ceasar dressing is absolute magic! The roasted half chicken with crispy skin was so juicy and tender, I hummed as I ate. Definitely going back. And service was sweeeet!

We went on a Thursday night, six old friends and had a wonderful meal and easy conversation. We could hear each other without shouting! The restaurant is beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. Every meal was healthy, delicious and beautiful. Plus there was plenty of parking.

Excellent food, great location and the staff was wonderful! And a portion of the bill goes to help provide food to those in need!

The food was excellent with generous portions and crystal's enthusiasm for the Gather55's important mission was inspiring! The fixed menu was simple but had a diversity of options that suited many dietary needs. The wine list paired each wine with an app or main course on the menu. We'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for an elevated dining experience in Hartford!

Gather55 definitely impressed me. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel like family. The pan-seared salmon was delicious, and the seasonal veggies were just the right touch. This place has great vibes, and I’m already looking forward to my next meal here.

The food is Horrible, the Lomo Saltado was not as I expected, the fries tasted like it was left in oil for a couple days, the rice was a small portion like for a child. The cod meal “Moqueca” was absolutely NO taste “horrible “ I never experienced a Meal like this…They also charge a service charge for pick up of 20% which is unreal.. Don’t waste your money…
