We went yesterday for my son's 22nd birthday. We enjoyed everything. The cook, the waiter very nice, friendly. We are planning to go back
Little bit of wait time from sitting and having orders taken until the chef came out. Much fun, good food, huge portions. Good desserts. Good drink menu too.
Very typical Hibachi grill experience. The chef did their typical routine with the egg tossing, onion volcano, etc. If you've had Hibachi before, there are no surprises here. I got EXACTLY what I expected from a Hibachi restaurant. Not sure why others are saying they add a tip to the bill; that didn't happen to me. The shrimp was a bit overcooked but I suppose they have to err on the side of caution with shellfish. The steak was also a bit overcooked even though I asked for medium rare. When there are extras on the grill, the chef would just give them out even if you didn't order them which is appreciated. The chefs appear to be energetic and in good spirits which is great, particularly if you have kids.
Last night was my second time visiting this restaurant. While my first experience there was enjoyable, last night was by far one of the best Hibachi steakhouse meals/experiences of my life. My kids absolutely loved it. Thank you so much to Chef Henry. You sir are by far the best Hibachi Chef I have ever had the pleasure of cooking for me and my family. You are truly special and the love and enjoyment you show in what you do is so evident. I hope you know you are different than most. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Our server (I am sorry I did not ask his name) was very attentive and always present. There was not one time I had to look around to find him. Irrespective of where he stood in the restaurant, he always maintained eye contact. Whenever a plate was done, either he or a specific female server (sorry I did not get her name) was always there to ask if they can remove the plate. Great job by you both. Thank you! To anyone reading this review. Please trust that I have zero affiliation with this establishment. I have been in the Hospitality Industry for 30 years, specifically food service. I have been a a long time, loyal customer of the well-known Edo's in Pelham Manor for the same amount of time. To give you an in idea, I have been a customer of Edo's since back when Sonny was there running a top-notch place. Although at one time Edo's was my exclusive Hibachi spot, this no longer is the case. Banzai w/ be the new go to spot and deservingly so. Edo's cannot compare to this place. To the management and ownership of Banzai, you have a gem in Henry. My professional recommendation is that you use Henry to train/teach "EVERY" cook you have and hire on how to create the magic and interact with the client. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
The best hibachi in Westchester. Delicious food and service. All people worked there are super nice and hardworking.
We had a really fantastic chef. Everything was delicious. Great place for kids too.
First time here. Very good quality food and portions are big. Next time we go with more people to have our own place.
I really really like this place. Big and comfortable space. Servers are nice and attentive. Chefs for the hibachi are awesome. One can see the dedication and expertise in what they do. I've been to this place twice and each time I've had a real good time with a very satisfied stomach.
Lot of fun. Delicious
Very good food. Great service. I love sushi in this restaurant.
The table chef was brilliant! Before coming here, I thought the chef was just going to cook silently but quite the opposite, he was the main attraction of the evening. Super great for kids & teenagers and the adults enjoyed the show too. It was super entertaining, all the kids got several turns trying hibachi themselves and the chef was incredibly hilarious. Great experience.
We celebrated my sister's birthday. We had an amazing time. Our chef was a lot of fun. It is kid friendly as well. The food was delicious!!! There's plenty of parking. The ladies room needed to be cleaned better. One stall didn't have a toilet seat and there were spiderwebs in the corner of the ceiling. There's plenty of parking.
It is my favorite restaurant. I'm a 10 year old kid and it's fun, exciting and tasty. The steak is the best thing ever. I don't really know what atmosphere is, so I rated it 5 stars anyway. My brother who is 7 really likes the chicken. Have fun at hibachi!
Had a very good experience here dining with family on Sunday. We used a Groupon for $24 for 40 which just about covered food for 2 people. Our chef was friendly and entertaining and the food was tasty. Expect a large portion! Would come again. :)
We have been going here for years, just went mothers day and pleasantly surprised on the updated clean look they have now. The giant American flag mural is gone and dark walls repainted Now they made it a lighter color and brightened up the restaurant. As always the food was plentiful, and good, service was excellent very attentive, chef was entertaining and enthusiastic.
Had the triple combo Shrimp, Scallops and Lobster served off the Hibachi grill cooked in front of you. Excellent with the included fried rice and vegatable sides. The meal started with Salad with a fresh ginger based dressing and and delicious interesting soup starter. All of the tables appeared to be having fun.
Been coming here for many years since the location first opened. The service has always been great and the hibachi chefs are always energetic and downright fun. Food is delicious with generous portions. Drink specials are a nice touch as well. Highly recommend this place, will be back! PS, be on the lookout for the Thomas Carvel plaque by the entrance! I think this used to be the site of the original carvel store. Some history there.
Fun place for a family dinner! The chef puts on a nice show at the table. The food was very tasty and the portions are generous. Everyone enjoyed the steak, and the lobster and shrimp in the combos was good too.
I've been here several times, and I have to say that it is fantastic. The food has never disappointed, and the staff is attentive and courteous. The hibachi chefs are good showmen, and make the meal an enjoyable and delicious experience from start to finish. I highly recommend coming here for a meal. Easily one of the best hibachi grills that I have been to.
Place does great with kids saw alot of kids ages 10 to 16 having birthday parties there as well as adults
I went to Banzai with my friends and we loved it. From the minute we came in till we leave we had a friendly and very professional experience with the workers. The chef we had was a hibachi chef for more than 20 years, he really knew how to entertain us while making our foods so delicious. The server always check on us to make sure everything is going well. We had a great time, will definitely come back again.
We LOVED every single thing about this place!! Firstly service is fast and efficient. Our water glasses always were full and the waiters were so friendly and making sure we were okay! After ordering the food it was a quick turn around time for the chef to come and start cooking!!! They offer you to chug the saki and even do the zucchini toss!! Portions are amazing and the food is incredible and we can not wait to keep going back! Been twice now, and we are new to the area! The design of the restaurant lacks but do not let that turn you away! It was incredible!!
The chefs were really fun and we had a great time. The food was also really good.
I go there with my families. Very fun chef and great service. We have a very special night.
This place has food that was very delicious. The service is spectacular and then chefs put on a great show for guests. I would definitely come here again.
Always a great time! Made a reservation and was seated immediately.
My husband, I and 2 kids went there today to celebrate my son’s birthday and we had such a great experience. The server was attentive and amazing. Our chef Henry was the best chef I have ever had and I have been to hibachi restaurants many times. He gave the birthday boy extra attention and I was impressed. He kept all of us engaged in conversation. His cooking and show was on point. The food was delicious. They also were attentive to my husband’s shellfish allergies . What a great experience.
Great first experience, food tasted great and it was ready so fast literally made right before my eyes !! It was amazing and very informative in how to make fried rice haha 😄 nice atmosphere they play urban music which is really nice instead of playing soundscapes or instrumental music. Gave more of a fun atmosphere that’s great for people of all ages. The chefs are highly skilled and very talented with there culinary tricks. FYI For the people complaining about the chefs not wearing latex gloves, you can’t wear latex gloves while cooking on the grill because the heat of the grill is going to melt the gloves. Latex gloves is only used while cutting food and serving food.
My family and I went here this past Saturday for lunch and my daughter’s 4th bday celebration. It was a total of 6 of us but when I tried to make a reservation they said we could just walk in. For a Saturday afternoon it was super slow (there was only 1 other table occupied during our duration there) but the atmosphere was beautiful. It was nicely decorated and clean. We all opted for the hibachi dinner with one kid’s menu meal. My in laws got ribs and wings as an appetizer which they loved, especially the ribs. The hibachi offerings were extensive and fairly priced. Only thing that threw me off was at most hibachi places I’ve frequented a shrimp app is included (here it was not) along with both rice and noodles, whereas here was just one or both with a $4 surcharge. Not a big deal at all to us but just wanted to point it out. The soup and salad were so delicious! Our chef was entertaining and was very considerate when my 2 year old got a little scared with the fire. The portions were huge including the kids meal. We all had leftovers. Thank you to the Bansai staff for a beautiful afternoon!
So excited for party there. We came from other town with my friends. The chefs are so funny and the server keep checking on our table. The food was delicious. We during a very fun night. We will come back again.
had an amazing experience at this hibachi restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm. Our chef was not only incredibly skilled but also entertaining he kept us laughing the entire time with jokes and impressive tricks while cooking right in front of us. Out server was attentive the entire time, refilling drinks quickly, checking in often without being intrusive, and making sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and would definitely go here again
the food was very good the chef did a great job at cooking and the show. service was very good never needed to look for them when needed a refill or needing more napkins 10/10 would definitely go here again
Had an amazing experience at Banzai Steakhouse! The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked steaks and fresh, flavorful sides. The hibachi show was fun and interactive, making dinner feel like a full-on experience. Staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend if you want great food and a fun night out!
My fiancé and I brought my son to Banzai for his 19th birthday. There were six of us in total. My son loved the sushi; he really enjoyed it. My fiancé thought it was a great place to take my son for his birthday, so we did. The staff were nice and polite. The chef's performance was very entertaining; the chef was very funny, nice, and polite. The food was delicious—a great place to enjoy with family and friends.
I really like this place. My first experience with a chef cooking in front of me as no it was amazing. I took my husband there for his birthday along with our friends. The kids really enjoyed the show. We has lobster shrimp salmon chicken scallops with noodles fried rice and vegetables. The staff was very nice and friendly.
Banzai is one of the best places for the hibachi experience, it's an hidden gem in White Plains!!! The service is great, the food is amazing, and the price is reasonable. The sushi is fresh and the food portions are great! All the chefs cook with a smile and are very accomdating to any special requests. I would definitely visit if your looking for a great time and good food!!
Big open space, high ceilings which is great. Food is good, standard hibachi. Waitress had a bit of trouble taking a drink order. Chefs were fun and engaging. Definitely satisfied.
Good food. Very loud
I was a little thrown off when I entered the restaurant as it seems more like a dinning hall then it does an actual restaurant. There's about 20 hibachi tables all right on top of each other and it's very crowded. The place is pricey considering they do not really excel in any one topic. Entertainment from the chef was sub par at best. Place was extremely loud. Salad and Soup were some of the worst I've had (way too much dressing and watery soup) but the meal itself was delicious and staff was nice which is why I'm still giving 3 stars. Bottom line, good place to go in a group or with children. Updated review: went back 2 more times and wasn’t nearly as loud. Foods good, just the place itself is eh.
The food was really good, the cook was awesome. He really knew how to keep us wondering what was coming next. The interior design is really unique and modern however it does not scream hibachi. It's very American which I thought was odd because it is an Asian restaurant but regardless the food was very good. The engagement wasn't good at all because we were left alone for like 5 minutes not knowing when the cook would come and start cooking. I wouldn't necessarily say this is a typical Asian restaurant but I would say give it a try.
The food is very good cooked well delicious I have nothing negative to say about the food. The reason I did not give 5 Stars The Hibachi and the performance was a little lackluster compared to what I'm used to from other Hibachi restaurants. However overall I got a deal on Groupon went with some of my girlfriends the prices weren't too bad I'd go again.
The food was pretty good, the service felt a little rushed though. It is a very neat process to see the food cooked right in front of you and the chefs are quite skilled. The fried ice cream was a bit undercooked.
Always a favorite. I think the staff could be a bit more friendly but food is good.
The only reason I gave it four stars is because when you step inside the restaurant it feels very much like they took an empty warehouse and never finished it. It’s not ugly it’s just not nice looking. But the main thing is that because they never finished the ceiling everybody’s voices echo significantly throughout the room so all you need is a few families to be there at once and it sounds like a bar’s volume. The food and service was excellent though so I would definitely go again I just may bring earplugs.
This was both my mom's and my husband's first experience with this type of dining and they both loved it. Our chef was friendly, entertaining and engaging. He made watching him prepare our meal truly delightful. My son also had a blast 💙. The restaurant was clean and protocol was observed. Nice family dining spot. 👍👍👍 ..... the food was good too, a little salty but good.
Dined here last night for the first time so our kids could experience hibachi. We had a reservation for 6:00 but still waited 10-15 minutes for our table. It was very busy. They have a bar area and then a massive room filled with hibachi grills/tables. It's very loud, so you will struggle to speak to anyone that isn't directly next to you. It's also warm because of all of the cooking that's going on. It seems that lots of people bring groups of kids here, which adds to the noise levels. The food was quite good. I had the steak entree. It isn't cheap but the portions are generous. I probably wouldn't choose to come back here again but I understand the appeal for children.
Banzai is a very fun and unique restaurant. The hibachi chef I had was very fun and interactive, and he did not rush us out. The food was very good, though portions were smaller than other hibachi restaurants. The lettuce in the salad did seem a little old. The chicken was very flavorful. Note they do not have yum yum sauce, but mustard sauce. The fried ice cream tasted more like cake. My main issue was with the bathrooms. They were disgusting and had graffiti all over the walls. Other than the bathroom, the restaurant was very good. I would recommend dining here if in the area, if in your budget. The food is very pricey compared to similar restaurants.
Chef's presentation and food prep was good. Steak ok Chicken and rest of food a little better. The staff were friendly. Interior/bathrooms needs a refresh. Bathroom sink faucet loose wall paint in corridor peeling The place has potential due to size.
Whole place was ok. Food tasted great but service and chef seemed very uninterested. Has been better on previous visits and this might have just been an off day.
I visit this place frequently, we actually drive about 15-20 minutes from home to eat here. (Not that it’s far but we have local hibachi restaurants in our area.) Tonight was the first time I am disappointed, there were 4 of us, our bill came and we paid with a debit card, the waiter took it upon himself to add a $30 tip without asking. We were paying cash in tip and you don’t assume how much we are giving you. We always tip the person cooking when they are done cooking and cleaning up the grill.
Dinner was decent. Our chef didn't perform any tricks, which made my boys a little upset. I wouldn't rush to go back.
It wasn't as lively as I remember although our cook made it fun. I do however wish the waiter we had was more knowledgeable. It would've saved me from wasting $38 on a meal. Also was a bit upset because their closing time online versus on their door was different and they literally started cleaning the other tables while we were there.
I normally visits this place with my family, and food is normally cooked okay, especially when I ask them to prepare it a specific way.(food is great) But the last visit left a a bitter taste in my mouth. My nice received her first job cheque. So decided to take me there. When the Cook was finish she give him a good amount of Tip.After she paid the bill,we left out. While leaving out a guy began yelling at her asking her WHERE IS MY TIP?WHERE IS MY TIP ? In a rude ,aggressive manner. She informed him that she already give the tip.He then replied The chef tip has nothing to do with his tip,and then I told him I wasn't aware of that other wise we could of split it into 2.He begun yelling and also used bad words at us. I will not be returning to this establishment.
Food is good, just too pricey to eat too frequently.
Been coming here for birthdays, graduations and every other family celebration for a decade. I’ve always had a good and consistent experience. Last night I had an experience that left me very uncomfortable. The waitress filled in my tip by hand and then told me it was automatic. We were a party of 4. If gratuity is automatic for a certain amount of people it usually is written somewhere, it was not and it’s usually added on the computer, not by hand. I’ve never left less than 20% for a tip and would have left more because our cook was amazing!. I’m not quick to pull the race card, but I’ve been there with way more people, and gratuity was never automatic! It’s really too bad!
Stopped here by chance on the way home form an event. The restaurant it self is a bit dated and is badly in-need of some upkeep. However the food was surprisingly good and the staff was friendly and warm. The table chefs were engaged and entertaining. Though I did not think I would I enjoyed myself and would recommend this place. If the owners were to fix up the restaurant a bit and make it more inviting, this would be a solid 4 star family joint.
I had the opportunity to visit Banzai last week with a small group from my church. In all honesty, I've never noticed this place before, and I frequently visit the Starbucks across the street from it. So, is Banzai a hidden treasure or a restaurant that should stay hidden? (Dramatic effect) For a Saturday night, the place wasn't packed but it wasn't light on customers either. Needless to say, my group of six didn't have to wait before being seated or atended to. The staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The hibachi server was interactive with the group. The food was okay, and average priced in comparison with other hibachi restaurants. Just an FYI, they do add the tip into your bill for large groups (Not a big deal, unless you feel they don't deserve it or you want to give more). Where they lose stars for me is (1) the parking lot is dark. Maybe it was just that night, or some people may not think it's a big deal, but it is for me. There needs to be more lighting, especially around on the side of the building. (2) the decor and atmosphere is terrible. The inside wall is literally a giant American Flag wrapped around the walls. Not sure if there is underlining meaning to this choice in decor. In my opinion, it does not compliment the type of restaurant it is, and pulls away from it. Maybe I'm different, but I like nice decor and a great atmosphere in a restaurant. Overall, would I recommend? If you're like me and decor is a determining factor for you, then absolutely not. If you're just looking for food with a hibachi experience, give it a try. Would I go back? It wouldn't be my first choice, but if someone was dead set on visiting and wanted me to go with them, I wouldn't write it off.
We decided to try Banzai for my birthday as the reviews looked good and we all love hibachi. While the food was mostly good, the service was literally the worst I've ever experienced. I am usually a Very forgiving patron being that I have managed a restaurant in the past. That being said, our waitress was dismal. She forgot to put my girlfriends order into the kitchen and another example took 20 min to bring drink re-orders, 25 min to bring the dessert for my birthday AFTER my girlfriend had reminded her about it 3 times. 20 MORE min to bring the check and Never came to collect it from me. I walked up to the front to pay it myself and when I complained about the service, while the hostess was very apologetic, did little to nothing. They offered me a $10 off on my next visit. (It was a $274 bill) I will NEVER go there again.
Food was ok when we got the bill they added a 20% tip on top of the bill I'm very aggravated about. They didn't even deserve a tip they didn't do anything. Some advice Do Not give them your business complete robbery to their customers. The bill was 125 for 3 people then a 25 dollar tip so in total 150 absolute highway robbery.
It’s not worth it if you don’t sit on the big table, we didn’t want to sit with other people today and we sat at the bar table we ordered hibachi the steak was burnt and the waitress only came to our table once! At least my dog will be happy today with his steak
My first experience at a hibachi restaurant with my my family for an early birthday celebration. It was entertaining the staff was very welcoming. My kids enjoyed the water shot. We went early there was no wait about two families being served. The food was okay the salad was soaked in watery dressing. The bathroom was dark and could be cleaner. For my first hibachi experience it was okay not exciting.
way over-priced for the quality of food and drink. Also, gratuity is included. Never spent $90 on Hibachi and ONE alcoholic drink in my life. Would have went somewhere else worth the money & more upscale. I’m far from cheap & me and my friends thought they made a mistake when we got the bill, thats how ridiculous! Only positive was The piña colada was yummy, but small & not worth $18. Save your time and money.
Let's start with the atmosphere. Typical hibachi steakhouse. Very spacious. The only thing that would attract someone to this place are the chefs who are trained to perform while cooking in front of you. Immediately after being seated the waitress came and asked if we were ready for drinks. There was nothing inviting about her customer service. Nonetheless, Drinks were ordered. I ordered the pina colada which was very watered down with ice and my friend ordered a mango margarita. Not too soon after, others were seated and we were then asked if we were ready to order out entree. The waitress made note of my shellfish allergy and soon after soup was brought out and a minute after that, salad arrived . We did not have much time to enjoy the appetizers before the chef came and exhibited his culinary skills. Because my friend and I only asked for noodles it seems as if our portion of food was minimized for $30. I thought we would have gotten more. The salmon was bland and the noodles were very salty which was probably the sauce the chef used to douse our noodles in. The sake was probably the only good thing about this place. Not to mention in the women's restroom, only one out of the three stalls were working. My friend and I decided to go to the bar, which was empty, to get another round of hot sake but had to wait 5 minutes before we were greeted, by the bartender who was also the greeter who had on sweatpants and Crocs. This is not a place that I would return to not only because of the overall experience but also because of the 20% gratuity added on that's not even well deserved. Seems like it only needs to be a place for kids or for individuals who have never experienced this type of cooking .
CUSTOMER WARNING: Servers fraudulently increase tips and forge customer signatures! My family and I went there to celebrate my daughter’s birthday on Sunday and split the bill between two cards. After noticing our accounts were both charged more than expected, we contacted the restaurant for copies of the receipts. Both receipts provided to us were “reprints”, the amounts written on the tip line and total line were not in our handwriting and the signatures at the bottom were both forged. I’ve never felt the need to go as far as to bring something to social media, especially after having worked in the food service industry when I was younger, but after getting the run around from the manager and having him repeatedly tell me that he “has to wait to talk to the waiter on Friday when he comes back in to see what happened”, I’m livid. We’ve been going there for years and would have continued if management handled the situation better but the fact that they blew the whole thing off as if it wasn’t a big deal…. That’s concerning.
So my family and I will not be returning to this place. We saw a Groupon and decided to go there since my kids wanted hibachi for their Back to School dinner. As soon as we say down, before ordering, we told the waitress we had a Groupon. We informed them because it’s a holiday and we wanted to make sure we could use it. If they said no that would have been okay and we would have understood being it’s a holiday. We ate, enjoyed our food and then it was time to pay. I told the woman again I had a Groupon. She brought the check over and adjusted the price at the table, taking $40.00 off. Scanned and marked the Groupon redeemed on my phone. I paid $20.00 for the Groupon. After we were paid, I signed the slip from my credit card, let cash for a tip (we also tipped the guy as he was cooking our cook) and we’re walking out, the waitress came over to say they can’t take the Groupon today because it’s a holiday. They were telling me we owe $40.00 more. My husband and I explained that they already took accepted the Groupon, marked it as redeemed and ran my credit card. I then took my kids outside so my husband could handle it. In the end mu husband gave them $20.00 more in cash and told them we would not be back. It’s not a matter of money it was based on principle.
Terrible staff !! Host was very rude, waitress was not engaging at all and rude, ordered a martini sent it back twice still came back tasting like very salty water, chef was good food was ok. Will not be going back ! One and done for me. Plenty of amazing hibachi restaurants around m. Try to avoid this place at all costs!
The service is slow and you always have the feeling like the restaurant is understaffed because they always rush you to place the order and then you barely see the server again. That is the reason we booked a party for 4 PM instead of 6 PM to avoid the crowded dinner. We spend over $600.00 there today and we asked our server and then two other servers to change the TV channel and that took 20 minutes.. While the chef was cooking our meals, I added 2 more dinner items to be prepared "to go" and he said that he was busy so they will prepare it in the kitchen. They did not prepare it table side but they charged us as "teppaniaky/hibachi" meals. While we were finishing our meal, the server asked us if we were "done" and then somebody else came 3 times asking us to leave because they had another party waiting for our table. They did not even let us finish our drinks and we had to leave. Somebody acting like a manager said that we should move to the bar. I told him that since we had children, that was not legal in NY state. While we were leaving the restaurant, there were only 6 people in the lobby waiting for a table while we noticed 2 open tables in the restaurant that could have resolved the issue. I called back later and spoke to a person that presented himself as Sam, the manager. After I provided him the feedback of my experience, he did not show any compassion. He said that there was nothing he could do for us since there there other guests waiting to be sated. He was the manager that rushed us out as per his words. When I told him that maybe they shoud be more considerative when they accept reservations, he hanged up on me. For the past 3 years we have been visiting this restaurant and we kept giving them more and more chances to get better but this was the last time we did that. We felt like they only cared about getting our money and not about us as customers.
The food is extremely over priced for very average food. They play around with prices. Beaware !! Price on the menu is different from whats on the check. In addition They add surcharge fee + tips ( they add 25% tips) + taxes. The food quality is very very average for hibachi. Drinks are extremely expensive (am talking non alcohol) a soda or a lemonade is close to 8 dollars. If you are going in a group watch the bill and look very carefully at the prices. Chef is friendly the place is clean other than that; it is not worth it. Food very basic and cheap quality. Save your money......
My husband and I took our children to dinner tonight after a long hard week of work and school. The food was decent, the hibachi chef was mediocre but the bar bill was horrific! Thank goodness my husband and only had one drink of “call shelf” liquor… 1800 with club soda (small glass with lots of ice) $20 each, $40 2 drinks!! After we approached the manager he proceeded to tell us that that particular bottle is $100, little did he know my husband works for Empire Merchants, their liquor distributor. Needles to say, we will never be back based on principle.
I'm disappointed because my family and I enjoyed eating here. It's been 6 months since my visit, but I can't get myself to go back over how my situation was handled. My sister, brother in law, and I stopped by here to get something to eat. We normally love going here. It was near closing and not many people in the restaurant at all. About midway through my meal a mouse came out and started running all around the table next to me. The waitstaff saw and seemed embarrassed and tried to shoo it away. Nonetheless, they could not get to it and this mouse kept coming out. This was disgusting. I'm petrified of mice. At one point one of the crew took a butcher's knife and tried to kill it. I couldn't help but wonder if this is one of the knives they use to prepare food. They were apologetic and offered us a 10% discount on our next visit. Only 10%? and on the next visit? I don't know why but I didn't think to question this at the time. Why weren't we offered a decent discount at that time? 10% off next visit is not justifiable. They lost my business.
The worst service ever!!! 7pm reservation, got seated right away, 20 minutes later we received a bowl of broth, 20 minutes after that we got a salad w old iceberg lettuce and a hss as of of a cucumber slice. An hour after we sat our chef finally cooked our food. Mediocre at best. Our glasses remained empty until we asked for refills and were then charged 3 additional dollars for a small glass of fountain drinks and were never even offered water to top things off, 20% was added to my check for a tip but we didn’t even get a 10% tip service wise. I now understand why this place was over half empty on a Saturday night. All the little things this place doesn’t do, plenty of restaurants excel in. I’ll never return.
I am usually a regular here. Never had an issue until New Year’s Eve. I have spent many New Years here so it was my go to with my family. When we arrived everything started off good. Got seated right away and was kind of rushed to order. When the food arrived the soup was super salty, but I let slide not a big deal. The salad wasn’t to fresh either, but we let it go. The chef came out, he prepared the food and put a on a good show. Once the food hit our plates, the seafood(scallops in particular) was soooo bad I couldn’t even eat more, spoke to the waiter and really nothing could be done. It had an dirty grill taste to go along with the spoiled seafood!! Just really disappointed.. Still we tipped the chef and proceed to check out. We get the bill and give a tip and the waiter comes back and ask for more!!! More than a $25 tip for himself and $10 for the chef!!! I was mortified!!!!! No adjustment for the horrible food or nothing! Not even I’m sorry!!!!After my brother in law gave him more tip to save the embarrassment cause he was causing a scene saying that we had to pay for the “convenience fee” Which is the “Suggested tip” Not “Mandatory tip” which many restaurants add to the bill! We bagged the food up and it went in the garage right in his face!!!! Nevertheless we will not return to this place!
If I could give them ZERO STARS I WOULD!! My husband and I took our daughter for her 10th birthday and honestly the food was nothing to brag about!! But the worse part is that after leaving a $40 cash tip they had the AUDACITY to charge our card an additional $39.70 without our authorization. When I called to resolve this matter they claim we wrote $40 on the receipt. First of All why the hell would we leave and $80 tip on a $201.55 bill when the food wasn’t all that? So, the manager just said we can’t give you your money back, which is all good because now I involve our bank. NEVER AGAIN!!
ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED. Although the food was good, the dinner did not end well. After paying the bill, the waiter CHASED US ALL THE WAY TO THE ENTRANCE DOOR telling us that we did not tip enough. He forced us to increase the tip "because he had to pay the chef too". It was very humiliating. As important as tips are, its amount is a personal choice of the customer. I lost respect for this place and I will never go there again.
Went there on a Tuesday night 5:45 PM. Very empty there for my 50th birthday. My wife and two kids already was rushing us to order the food and then whatever you want to drink. The chef comes right away while still eating my salad, . I say my steak well done please I’m sorry I apologize to him. For wd, he cooks our food as fast as he can give us a chicken and steak huge pieces, which I have to ask for a knife to cut it smaller and I got my steak rare then rush to clean and causes the smoke to come up so much from the hot oven. We had to get up and stand away for couple minutes, then we lost our waitress. She went onto a big party table that came in. Had to wait 15 minutes before we could get another drink and then ask for a knife to cut my big pieces she brings back on the drinks and says to my wife. Oh this is your third drink you’re drinking a lot huh? I complain to the manager about my rare steak and the whole situation, he says text time you come well give you a discount I said I won’t be coming back, So They just didn’t charge us for my dinner, and we still spent $280 there.
Made reservations. Asked for a private table as my kids are loud and tend to have outbursts. We didn't want to disturb anyone. The greeter, a man, was rude and tried to sit us at a table with 3 other families. When I informed him we had reservations and requested a private table, he got upset and pointed us to another table, then proceeded to pull another couple to our table. The hibachi chef did nothing interesting but slam the knife against the grill. The vegetables were so hard I couldn't cut them, they made my kids choke. I left before eating and was only given a 10% discount. Not happy. Will never go back.
Awful experience my last visit. We waited 40 minutes for drinks. Waited an 1 1/2 hours to start our meal. It's just a really bad experience. We watched a table walkout and should have walked out ourselves. I am not a fan, but my family loves the place. Maybe they lost their charm, not sure if I return to find out.
