The very first time my wife and I went to Osaka it was a couple of weeks after it first opened and things did not go very well, but let me tell you we went back yesterday and it was an amazing experience! It was like two different restaurants. The staff was super friendly and attentive , the food was delicious and brought out not long after ordering and the prices are not bad at all! Osaka has definitely restored my faith in them and their restaurant and we will be coming back more often! We ordered the miso soup and ginger salad which were very refreshing and we ordered the volcano roll the deep fried California roll and the snow mountain roll and mannnnn they were to die for! Delicious! 🤤 😋 My wife is pregnant and ordered her a side of noodles and steak filet and they were delicious as well! 5/5 Awesome job Osaka!!!

My favorite restaurant in Hartselle! Me and my boyfriend had dinner here last night and our waitress was AMAZING. Best service I’ve had in a long time. She was so professional and sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was also great! The family that owns it is super cute and I wish them all the best. If you haven’t yet I would definitely recommend you give this place a try, you won’t regret it.

The owners (kevin and Joyce) are wonderful people and the food is the best you will taste in this county. Try the osaka roll with a side of eel sauce, its perfection. They also sell sake and beer and wine now. Great staff and excellent food that wont break the bank

Extremely welcoming, friendly staff working in a beautiful and tidy restaurant area. The fish was so fresh and delicious! The presentation of the dishes were also very pretty and detailed. Honestly, this was the tastiest, freshest sushi I have ever had (I even used to live in California and this beat any sushi restaurant over there.) I tried the sashimi dinner plate with miso soup. My fiance had 2 special rolls, and we shared the takoyaki (also the best takoyaki I've ever had as well!!) We will be coming back when we want to have some delicious, refreshing sushi. Keep up the great work Osaka restaurant!

Cozy Oriental decorated Japanese restaurant perfect for date night or family meal. It was my first time ordering a bento box. The portions were enough for 3 people. The mixed vegetables, cooked in a light sauce, were the best flavor I've eaten. The large tempura shimps had a thin batter. The dumplings were cook to perfection and delicious. I'm looking forward to going back to try their sushi, calamari, and octopus. Who I'm I kidding? I want to try everything at this restaurant.

9 times out of 10 the food is good here. It’s the only hibachi choice in Hartselle but it’s normally pretty great. They are always very nice, I just wish they were open on Mondays. I don’t know of any other restaurants closed on a Monday, maybe Sunday/Wednesday but not Mondays. Overall I highly recommend this place!

Good sushi however would like a description on the website, always taking a shot in the dark. If you look it up on google it gives you a whole different roll. Twice now I bought rolls that I thought sounded good from what google said they were and got something way different. End up throwing away 9 dollars today because of what the crunchy roll end up being. The crunchy crab roll is great, the crunchy shrimp roll was way different the 2 times I got it. Good food but lord knows what you’ll get.

Didnt get pictures of our orders except my house special friedrice lol! --sooo good i would order this friedrice again.... the crispy bagel roll was so yummy! the rest of our food all in all was so good. we definitely come back and recommend!!

I’m a local who found the Osaka menu on Facebook after hearing it recently opened. We decided to try a to-go order for lunch and was pleased with the hibachi combinations. The restaurant seemed clean and the staff was friendly while I picked up the food. The online order flow was simple, but one concern here would be with the website as both my Safari and Facebook browsers suggested I not use the site due to being identified as a security risk. However, the order flow did not require my sharing of payment information and allowed me to pay at the time of pickup.

We are here last night, February the 24th, 2026 around 6:00 p.m. We walked into the front door where their aquarium is and it was not up to par. The water was low/didn't appear clean and there was a terrible smell in that entrance. It was also smelling in the "waiting to be seated area". We were seateed pomptly to a booth that was clean. We recieved our server in about 3 minutes, she was nice 🙂 and a friendly young lady. She waited patiently for us to decide... 😊 We ordered a Sushi plate (see pics) and I ordered the steak and chicken w/ hibachi veggies, rice, soup, and I ordered an order of egg rolls and they were amazing if you can get your hands on some soy sauce. The food was nice/hot and delicious. If your near Hartselle it's probably the best around, The Taste of China in Price like is nice if your about that way. The tea and water were refilled promptly as needed. Enjoy 👋🐂
