A varied menu with seasonal & local ingredients served in a stylish room with dog-lover decor. The 3-6 pm Happy Hour is at the bar and outside and has substantial and yummy options.
My mom and I had a wonderful meal at White Dog Cafe on Tuesday at 11:30AM. I had an amazing 3 egg omelet with goat cheese, spinach, tomatoes and bacon. The dish included breakfast potatoes and an accompanying salad. Everything was delicious. Mom loved her Butternut Squash soup and my potatoes that she tried! The service was impeccable. We truly had a lovely time!
🤩WOW🤩 our friend’s recommended this place and it was totally fantastic. The portions were generous, the food exceptionally tasty. The staff were super nice. But what hit me was the lovely decor and ambiance with the dog motif and beautiful and comfortable seating. We had a 3 hour lunch with friends that we hadn’t seen for 50 years‼️ do not miss this gem of a restaurant.
The bread was toasted in like a honey butter it was so good🤤the truffle fries were seasoned well. The unique flavors for a BLT & fries makes this place stand out. Loved the cute tea pot & cup; the mint decaf with honey & lemon, good. The only thing I didn’t care for was the deviled eggs. All of the staff were friendly. My server Avi R was great👍🏾
Everything was just great. Not a dish that we did not like. The Server was great and they accommodated all requests for minor changes on food and things on the side. Good beer and wine selection and excellent food. See the pictures! It us located in a Plaza therefore parking is easy. It gets busy but the dining room was not noisy.
We had the pleasure to visit White Dog Cafe in Haverford for dinner. Wow I was super impressed! The French onion soup just melted in your mouth. The meatloaf was so supple and tender. The potatoes were very tasty and delicious. I had to get an extra order of truffle fries since they specialize in them. I was very pleased with how crispy and delicate they turned out. I’ll definitely be coming back!!
The food is superb. The crab dip is the best I've ever had. the customer service there is great .let's get into how beautiful the place is decorated, if you love dogs this is it.
Fantastic brunch spot in the suburbs. White Dog did not disappoint this Saturday. Friendly reminder, on a weekend, it is likely you’ll have a 1+Hr wait with no reservation (bar seating here, however, is first come first served). Highly recommend the butternut squash soup. It’s poured over candied pecans and thinly sliced green apples, it’s amazing. The Avocado BLT was fantastic - large, full sandwich, and you can’t go wrong with the truffle fries it comes with. Can’t wait to come back.
We celebrated our anniversary last night at White Dog Cafe in Haverford and it did not disappoint! We’ve been to the Glenn Mills location a few times, but this was our first time at this one. The food of course is out of this world, but what really stands out is the service and the level of care that went into creating a special anniversary experience for my husband and I. Further, as a neurodivergent person, sometime dining out can be an overwhelming sensory experience, however, the team at WDCH sat us in the perfect location for me to be able to relax and fully enjoy myself. Try everything on the menu. Everything is amazing.
This is one of my all time favorite spots! The food is always spot on! The service makes you feel like you are part of the extended family! The atmosphere is warm and inviting! See you next time! Cheers! God Bless America! God Bless Blue & Gold! Remember Everyone Deployed Everyday!
My husband and I just had a super experience at WD Haverford. We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely anniversary happy hour. We ordered truffle fries, fried pickles, nachos, a cheese plate and cheeseburger. I had the dirty dog, so delicious, pickled green bean martini! Everything was awesome, perfectly prepared and fresh. Patrick was our server, he was great- nice and knowledgeable. Thank you for a really enjoyable experience! I am quite sure this must be the best happy hour on the mainline.
Excellent food with very attentive and timely service. We were here four one of our aunt’s 80th birthday party, and had a fantastic time. I highly recommend this restaurant for not only dinner, but also for private events.
Went for brunch since they have an outdoor patio that allows dogs, but it was a bit a chilly. The host brought out a water bowl for my pup and also gave some sourdough for my pup to enjoy. The coffee was delicious and refillable. I ordered the Lancaster County Omelet which was tasty. Also got the bread basket which was essentially banana bread (it paired really well with the butter and honey it came with). The service was great, and the waiter came by frequently to check in on us. Definitely recommend to dine outside when the weather is a bit warmer!
My partner and I recently went to White Dog for brunch. Overall we had a very lovely experience, but I'd make a few minor changes. Here are my notes: - There's a free parking lot on site, so you don't have to worry about finding parking. - The food was fantastic and fairly priced. I particularly enjoyed the peach rice pudding—an excellent recommendation from our waitress. - Our waitress (I don't remember her name, but she was a young woman with long brown hair) was attentive, friendly, and helpful. A waiter on staff wasn't as friendly or kind, which was disappointing. - The decor is beautiful and super unique, which made for a nice dining experience. However, we were sat at a table with fabric chairs and the fabric was rather unclean (pics included). It kind of grossed me out. These chairs could use a good steam. - There are two single-use restrooms, but it's not clear that there's two (there could be a sign pointing to the one in the back) and it's not clear when someone is in one (it would be nice if the lock indicated if it was occupied or not). There were no paper towels—only hand dryers. Overall we'd come back, but I hope my notes will be helpful to ownership!
Fabulous time. Server Jonathan is always wonderful, and our interaction with GM Gizzel helped us understand why everyone is always so accommodating as it is the LEADERSHIP that establishes the standard of excellence experienced from the top down!
So if you’re going to have a dish called “Tomato Toast,” it should have more than essence of tomato. Also, if it’s really “sardine toast,” don’t use a random word for the fish - boquerones. Disclose that this dish contains a fish that very few actually like to eat. I wonder how many get sent back? Bartender Nick is great. Staff likes to congregate by the hostess stand. One was kind of rude to someone in my party when they asked if the bathroom was unisex. Fine, ok. Tone is everything. Food was good. Blondie sundae was yummy. Wine by the glass was expensive $14 for rose. Roast chicken was good. Caesar salad was a good size. We enjoyed the feta app.
Starting with the overall atmosphere and service we were very pleased. Food quality was on par but nothing exceptional for the prices. The perogies were delicious but only 4 small ones to a plate. Butternut squash ravioli was interesting with such a fresh topping it was different and tasty. The sides are large enough to share but barely for 2. Plus the mac and cheese was more pasta than cheese so I wouldn't actually recommend.
During my recent visit to White Dog Haverford, I discovered that the location is somewhat hidden among the neighboring shops, and parking was a challenge due to the high weekend demand. Despite making a reservation for four people, I was disappointed that we were seated at the bar bench instead of the main dining area, especially considering we had a baby with us. On the matter of the brunch menu, I found their spring selection to be rather lackluster in terms of flavor and variety. We decided to share the hummus, which had a delicious taste, but unfortunately, the accompanying vegetables were overly sour. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, which was satisfactory, while my wife opted for an omelette accompanied by their homemade fries, which she found enjoyable. On a positive note, the waffles we tried were scrumptious. While it can be considered a decent place to visit, the underwhelming menu leaves me hesitant to recommend it to others.
Please be careful when booking, 2 locations. We went to the wrong one for our second visit. Asian ribs were quite fatty. The turkey sandwich was interesting, tons of cinnamon in chutney that distracted the rest of flavors. Pot Roast was amazing according to 2 in our group.
We usually like to choose this spot as a default place due to consistent quality and service. Not anymore. This past Saturday, we found a hazard in our food. There was a large staple inside the burger. The dish was meant for a father and his child. The manager said that the staple came from the bread. Do you think we're all stupid? The staple was cooked inside the burger. Before that, there was another burger that his daughter ordered from the kids menu that came out rare. Server did not ask how she wanted it cooked. I can't prove that service for our table was generally worse because of our "appearance", but you certainly didn't seem to care that one of us almost swallowed a staple in your restaurant.
