Great service and food. The bartender was new, so had trouble with a couple frinks not on the menu. The waiter was super busy, but did the best he could. We could tell they needed more waitstaff. But food was great! Good stuff!

I took two co workers out to lunch. We all enjoyed our food. I got some kind of salad with chicken and balsamic glaze and strawberry. It was marked as gluten free and I was able to have it. It tasted surprisingly good! Everyone said their food was good too.

My old pal Britch Battleripper told me "If you can come down to Hayward I'll give you a one of the Platapus pups for your creek, they're weened and ready to set off on their own" Well, I accepted that Platapus...got a female because I already have a male down there, and this way they can produce more pups for my section of the Napa Creek. The way I see it...A celebration is in order, and there's no better way to celebrate than going to Applebee's Grill + Bar! So that's exactly what I did, and my chicken dinner was Amazing! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆

Never thought I would have a chance to enjoy a whiskey, burger, wonton, tacos, and boneless wings all in one sitting but I did and I have to admit they were all delicious although the strawberry margaritas came in a martini glass with decent refills, but was a little too sweet for my taste. Modelo on tap served as a better complement to the food. I sat at the bar with an attentive bartender. Regrettably Only to watch the Warriors lose.

Had the best time as a Canadian for my first time at Applebee's! Our server Nico was super friendly and fun to talk to which made our experience amazing. We grabbed three cocktails including a super affordable holiday special cocktail and the mozzarella sticks (which was half off od the lat night menu). The drinks were pretty sweet but I highly recommend the Perfect Margarita (customized as a spicy mango marg) it was strong, tasty, and came with a refill! Great time, would come again :)

Good eats. Went on a cheap date. The waitress was non existence though. Had to convince my date to leave a tip. We were basically the only ones sitting in our section and she only came to take our order and bring our food. I wanted a water refill but she wasn't around 🤷🏼‍♀️

We were seated in a booth where light wasn’t working we had to use our phone light to see menu. No offer to reseat is when we mentioned. My wife’s potatoes were on the cold side.

This place is great if you don't go on football day because it gets really loud during Sports seasons. Also they don't let you take home the Bacardi bucket. I guess because it's like special made for their restaurant only. Also if you want a blue shark it's only found at Applebee's not anywhere else. I mean you can try to make your own version at home but yeah good luck. Anyways great food and our favorite is the wonton tacos. The only thing is if you like wings slaughtered in sauce then sure that'd be good for an appetizer but for me it was kind of too much and it was not satisfying.

Main saving grace was the service, wish I could remember our waiter's name. He was an older gentlemen, super attentive and pleasant. We were there even during peak dinner time and the dude was great, really. A bit of a wait but that's to be expected considering the time. Appetizer of the wings was good, really fatty though so texture wise it was a bit of a turn off. Our food was room temp at best which is my main complaint. Brownie and ice cream dessert was really good, good variety of things on the menu. Good deals on drinks and meals. As far as a chain goes, solid spot.

The steak was not cooked to what I ordered. Manager addressed the problem personally and offered to give me new one. I politely declined since I didn't want to waste the steak. He offered dessert but I didn't want it. So he offered discount off the bill. I appreciated that very much.

My appetizers were good. My kid loved his food. My food wasn’t good. My steak wasn’t cooked properly/ it seems as if it was steamed and it was extremely chewy. My green beans were overcooked and mushy. But the experience overall was good! Service was fast and my waitress was very nice.

Applebee's in Southland is a weird one. The food, and the staff are all super nice every time I go. But every time I go there is always 2 or 3 groups of customers acting out and being rude to staff. Been eating here sporadically for around 20 years, honestly their flavors had gotten better since covid (one star upgrade). Wonton tacos are undeniable/ artichoke dip is fire. Main menu is either lacking pasta wise from thin/ bland sauces..or burgers/ chicken sammy's covered in sauces that are too intense (overly sweet or salty). Last steak I've had was from the bourbon st menu...asked for medium and got well done, they re cooked and it was medium and honestly tasty. Will still come back regardless

The menu deals are good but as a single working woman who watches her budget I would have appreciated seeing drink prices in the menu and a bit more understanding from the server rather than the laizzez faire response received when I asked about it. I tried their AYCE riblets, double crunch shrimp, and chicken tenders for $15.99. I started out with the chicken tenders, it was heavily breaded and really similar to the frozen kinds that you would get from your local Costco. I chose two sauces (honey mustard and BBQ) with my chicken tenders. The sauces are alright but I've had better. My second refill I went with the double crunch shrimps. The shrimps are very tiny, look nothing like the pictures and are also heavily breaded as well. My third refill I went with the riblet. Out of the three, they're all pretty mediocre. I would not come back for the AYCE, it is a one and done experience for the quality of food you get for that price but the price is decently priced.

The portions are so small and not worth what you pay. The food wasn't all that great. I have better memories of this place when I was in high school. The only thing worth going in there for is the staff. They were respectable, and hardworking. Yeah I had to wait 20 minutes before I got service at my table. The staff members never had empty hands.

I love the lava chocolate cake and the sangrias. I don't really like the food. It is a good local place to hangout for drinks with friends. But if i eat there, I always get the salmon and broccoli, it's ok. Sometimes, it is a little bit dry. The crow at the bar is well known they are older people and they are respectful yet still have lots of fun.

Service was terrible. Our host never brought what we asked for. My grandma asked for a drink, which was left sitting on the counter for 10 minutes before she actually brought it over. I went here for my first time for my birthday, honestly the service was great the waitress was amazing. However the food was mid, it was like eating frozen food from the grocery store that they just heated up. The boneless wings for instance was just like the Tyson frozen chicken and I was in awe of how bad it was.

I ordered a drink and an appetizer that’s it. It was horrible the drink was decent just very sweet. The app was nasty… cold mozzarella sticks and cold quesadillas. The artichoke dip was an eerie green color. It looked so bad I didn’t even want to try it. The boneless wings were decent. The server wasn’t that attentive. She made us wait a while to even place an order. We were half way done with eating the wings when she finally brought us some ranch.

Terrible experience. The service was slow and on top of that the waitress was not attentive at all. I asked her for a refill. She took my glass and didn't return for 20 minutes. We had to use the app to call our waitress. She apologized and said that she had "gotten distracted". How can you get distracted for 20 minutes? I maybe saw he a total of 2 times in the hour I was there. The restroom was a disaster. Seat covers all over the place, pee all over the toilet in one stall, second stall was disgusting with feces that wouldn't flush down the toilet. The food came out hot and tasted pretty good, although I didn't have anything to drink to help with the peppers burning my mouth.

Food is a hit or miss, steak might be good or really tough. Southwest steak bowls skimp in rice, it’s mostly salad. Curbside pickup usually takes a while Some of their margaritas are good like the $5 Pot Of Gold Colada and Shark Bowl. They also have soda for $1 and the spinach and artichoke dip is good. Probably won’t come back for the food the margaritas are honestly the only reason I’d come here.

When you order door dash the restaurant almost always forgets the sauce or dressing how can I eat a burger with no ketchup or salad with no dressing?

This is the slowest Applebees ever. I came in on Tuesday not that many people, it took them 40 minutes to get a $20 take out meal ready. Unbelievable, not cool!

I am a regular here I came in on 1/16/26 ordered my kid his regular kids meal which is the kids cheeseburger plain they brought my child a burger that looks like it was missing half the patty then proceeded to tell me that’s how they make the kids burgers with less meat now. The burger they brought my child needed to match the meat size that is in the photo for the kids menu. My god son ordered the same thing and they gave him a patty slider size meat for his regular burger. They are rationing on the kids meat BEWARE!Patty as thin as my patience after seeing it.

My last 2 times here were to put it nicely, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Wrong food served, hot spices put in a strawberry salad, soup too spicy. Service terrible, the waitress should have been fired. They chrage 20 percent tips on my bill for 3 people. This is a basic restaurant with basic menu and the infrastructure is old. I took there my 2 workers because we were working a couple blocks from there. I considere the 20 percent on tips is outregeous. most of restaurants that type let people tips on the good service. The applebee in Hayward is not good when it's busy, the food is cold when they are in a rush.

The food is honestly trash. Ordered the blackened shrimp alfredo pasta and the top sirloin with blackened shrimp. The sirloin was ordered medium and got a really raw rare rubber piece of “meat”. The pasta wasn’t cooked right. The place was empty and it took almost an hour to get the food. Honestly I wouldn’t feed it to my dog.

2nd update 02/18/2024 Service was nonexistent. Server checked on us once after we received our food AND our food was barely luke warm. I had to flag down another server twice so I could get a side of mayo for my extremely dry chicken sandwich and to get a box. Terrible service. Do not recommend. Update 03,/28/2023: Two employees at the front (one sitting in the in the waiting area, the other at the hostess stand- she is pregnant) talking, they didn't even look at us. I went and stood in front of them, AND it still took them several seconds to stop talking and look at us. Guess their conversation was more important than customers. Our server was friendly and efficient. She is the reason I gave 3 stars instead of 2. Best cheeseburger ever! Our server, Sea Shell, was very friendly.

It was a busy friday night ,There were two bartenders one for the bar the other for the wait staff. With just two staff members that clearly did not care about what service they were giving.

As a former Applebee's bartender, I was shocked that the bartender here told me I couldn't sit at a table in the bar area because she didn't have a server?! Sounds ridiculous considering she had one bar patron and could have easily served me from the bar. My first time, and last time here. Just a plain lazy worker, and clueless management, IMO.

My family and I went there on Sunday night around 9pm.... they sat us and waited there for almost 20 mins without taking our order not even the drink asked. My 4 kids were so hungry and we wanted to have a family time togetther. I raised my hand to get my order or at least my drinks but this guy said "your waiter is coming and will take you order" but our waiter never showed up again we waited for 30 mins long so we decided to leave the place, we couldn't wait again, we were so hungry. I don't recommend this place around this time during nights special weekends maybe employees are tired and about to close so they not too excited to serve people when is almost closing time

Eating this chocolate cake triple chocolate melt down with ice cream this is what I found out of it and spit it out !!!!!

We found an insect in the Bonless wings appetizer plate. I don't recommend you go especially with kids. I talk to the manager. They just removed the plate from the receipt.

I ordered the bourbon steak medium-rare, minus the mushrooms because I'm allergic to them. When it came it had mushrooms. I called the waitress over immediately, she states "if I had known you were allergic and just didn't want them...." I interrupted her and stated why should that matter? Although I did, from the beginning tell her about my allergy. When the steak finally came, it was WELL DONE, no bourbon what's so ever and the waitress avoided our table for the next 20min while my partner finished his meal. I asked for the manager who just removed my meal (no discounts, nothing) we left! Horrible service! Oh, the waitress brought my partner the wrong drink twice, which we ended up paying for both!

We came to this location 4/25/25 at around 7pm. My group was a party of 4 and it was some folks waiting to be seated in the waiting area. I noticed when I walked in it was multiple open booths,tables and high tables. Sooo after about 25 minutes of waiting hardly nobody being seated l asked about the open seats and specifically asked if we could go to the bar area with the open high table. I was told NO but I wasn’t given a reason why. After about 40 minutes we were finally seated and it seemed like now that I inquired about all the open seats they wanna start seating folks faster. Server was nice but she was very slow on getting the things we needed like utensils which usually come to the table when you are seated. We ordered and our salads came but we can’t eat them because no utensils. I asked multiple times and after about 20 minutes we get em. I ordered a burger and I like them well done but not burnt and mines was basically dry and semi burnt and absolutely no condiments on the burger. Soooooo I had to wait another 15 minutes for that and to me overall it just wasn’t a good experience and I won’t return to this location. Look closely at pic and you’ll see open tables tha I was inquiring about.

I gave them a 1 Star due to the fact that they have a new manager on dutty, i been comimg to this location since 2010 i seen managera go by numerous times, Antonio is his name OMG IF HE DONT LIKE HIS JOB OR WORKING HERE DONT WORK HERE... XOCHIL IS BEEN OUR SERVER FOR YEARS AND MANY OTHER SERVERS.. BUT TODAY I ENCOUNTER A TERRIBLE EXPERINCE WITH HIM..
