Ono Hawaiian BBQ

First time in California, had a craving for something new I've never tried before; Ono BBQ was just a short walk distance from my hotel, and boy was I impressed! Didn't know what to order so I was suggested the #44 BBQ & Katsu Mix. Food 10/10, Atmosphere 10/10, Customer Service 10/10. Can't wait to brag about you back home in Texas. 🤠

My favorite to order is fish and shrimp. It comes with macaroni salad, cabbage and rice. The cabbage is on point. Two scoops of white rice are plain but I like it like that. The fish and shrimp have enough flavor and seasoning to compensate/compliment the meal. I'm not a fan of macaroni salad unless its family so can't not fair to judge this one. No one macaroni salad could compare not even Gordon Ramsay. I'm just saying, when you like something you like it. I recommend this place. Great chain, haven't been disappointed yet plus food is always hot. It's still hot on the drive home. That's a win in my book. Especially when you have a hungry family waiting and you had to stay longer at work.

I’ve been here many times and it’s away good. Today the food and service was exceptional. The Covid shield that separated the employees from the customer had been removed. It made the interaction much more pleasant. The restaurant was nice and cool on this hot summer day.

It came with some sauce, which I think would taste great with fried dishes but not on their BBQ. "Mini meal" might sound too small for most people, but it's really sizable at Ono and plenty of food for even a hungry gal like me. Great value overall.

Food taste amazing. Place is clean and staff is very attentive and friendly. Green salad could be improved and that's the only reason I give a 4 ⭐. Chicken and other meats were really flavory. I enjoyed and for sure will come back.

Always good food, good service and always in a timely manner. The only thing I have a problem is the order box set up. Gets confusing of where to go or what lane to order your food. Update 3/24/22 Service has went down hill as waits are 40 mins and they jump orders and it's like they don't care. The usual answer to a long wait "oh it's coming right out" what kind of answer is that when people are waiting for long people of time. Management if they are ever there need to work on there business etiquette so I took 2 stars from a 5 star.

Read here, before completing your order online, over the phone, doordash, grub hub, etc... This location purposely doesn't add/include any side sauces of any sort unless you dine in. They know most customers won't check or can't check if ordered online or over the phone.They do this to cut cost and stretch out their supply. The customer service inside is very sad, the employees look like they don't want to be there. No greet or thank you when entering or leaving. Very rude and poor service.

I don't know if they grilled it in fish oil or something but that's $20 in the garbage. I hope that was an accident and not how they cook it now. I'm sure someone likes it, and this used to be my favorite food (like I used to eat it every day), but I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

I use to like this place.. until they sold us food with mold on the cabbage. . And than they were rude about it.. food is not like they use to be.. workers are rude and inconsiderate.

Horrible. They take your money and give you barley any food. Not like it used to be. Do your self a favor. Don't come here !!

The food was ok but I was here in the afternoon and a worker got into an argument with a customer. Very unprofessional
