there are truly very few places that deserve 5 starts and Bravas Bar de Tapas is one of them. i’m typically against getting tapas in the US. however, Bravas Bar de Tapas really turned that frown upside down if you know what I mean. the food. oh, the food. there were no misses. our waiter was super friendly and even recommended some items that’d pair nicely with what we already ordered would i come again? Spain is one of my favorite places to visit and I often crave the tapas I have come to love over the years. This experience met that craving and I really enjoyed indulging in multiple dishes.

We were recommended this place by Keith at Twomey, which is an excellent winery. With no reservation we were seated right away at the patio bar, which was an amazing spot. Food was off the chart good and the vibe was super chill.

Great little tapas place in Healdsburg. I’ve been a couple times and it’s consistently a wonderful experience. Fairly easy to get in via reservation too. The truffle honey eggplant chips are a favorite every time. Even my picky 10 year old loves them! The potatoes were alright for what they were. The sliders were really good this last time. I think I’ve tried the majority of the menu and so far the dishes that everyone loves time after time are the crab stuffed peppers, baby kale salad, and the eggplant chips.

We popped in here between wine tastings. Wow! Beautiful food. Flavorful food. This was a real find. We can highly recommend the beets, the lamb burgers, and the scallops. The iced tea was a delightful and surprisingly elevated break from wine. But this is a haven for those who may prefer the Spanish varietals mixed in amongst the Sonoma wineries.

The drinks were the selling point here. Whoever is the mixologist knows what they are doing. Every drink that we ordered was perfection to taste. I enjoyed the kale salad out of all the food ordered but general consensus was that this is the place to eat in this town. 5 stars for the service, atmosphere and great vibes. I would come back here and if you’re new, I suggest you try it out.

Great place in Healdsburg if you are looking for a date night or to explore some local places. They have a big selection of wine and lots of interesting appetizers. The place itself has an indoor and outdoor area. We had the grilled octopus, potatoes bravas, crab dipping sauce, lamb sliders and garlic bread. Everything had perfect texture and was truly delicious. Our waiter was also very kind an attentive which makes this place even ten times better ! We had a great experience and regretted not ordering a paella (everyone else seemed to order it) so we might come back and try it.

Great small plates of luscious food. We got the roasted cauliflower, eggplant chips, and the chicken croquettes. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. The outside patio is cozy and welcoming. Service is great and quite knowledgeable too. Recommended.

We enjoyed a late Sunday afternoon lunch at this popular spot in. Healdsburg. Madam Wife and Granddaughter One enjoyed the gin cocktails recommended by the waiter. Daughter One and I went with a very tasty Pinot and a Pilsner for me. Just right. The crispy fried eggplant was nicely done and very tasty. We ordered mussels, expecting a bowlful but got the tin with the box on it partway. Delicious on a bit of toasted bread (they brought more upon request) with a dab of aioli sauce and a little bit of the pickled veggies that come with it. The place was quite busy but the staff did a good job of keeping up the service. It’s the sort of place we’ll go back to. Inside & patio dining is available and if you want a low table (we had a high top) with chairs on the patio it’s best to reserve ahead of time.

Good tapas spot in downtown Healdsburg. This was my second time there. Both times we were really happy with the food. Biggest issues were with the out door patio experience. Service was a little slow - though in fairness they were busy. There were also a ton of flies that seemed to be constantly attacking the food. Not sure what can be done about that. Overall though, great spot that I’d definitely recommend - especially the dishes pictured.

Topas doesn't get any better than this. Outstanding service. Sit on the patio if you can; it's beautiful outside. There are so many choices and just not enough tummy room for all the delicious delights. The Lamb Sliders are scrumptious (see photos). Their octopus was uniquely prepared with olives; I've not eaten it that way before and it was really good. And let's not forget their Sangria; it has the "wow" factor.

The tapas were amazing! If you're in a group, definitely order the paella! It was the highlight of the meal for sure. Along with the food, the outdoor dining atmosphere was lively and upbeat. Definitely recommend.

We sat at the bar on the patio. The sense of community is strong as locals gather to enjoy this creative fare. We travel to Spain often and this made us feel like we were right back there on the streets of Seville. The bartenders are busy, but not too busy to chat. The Craft Cocktails are creative and so tasty. We tried the Shiso Cool and Poniente G & T. The highlight was watching the staff make a massive dish of paella out on the patio. Even though we had already eaten so much we were stuffed, the bartender got permission to serve us a "taster" and man it was amazing! We will be back here again when in the area. Very well run restaurant and the hospitatlity shines.

I love this place. The food is ALWAYS on point. Drinks are wonderful and the service is fantastic. Every dish is great for sharing...the chicken thighs are so flavorful and juicy; calamari is tender and the sauce with it is fantastic; I got the roasted beets which had a perfect balance with the cheese and walnuts; the asparagus with black garlic aioli was perfectly cooked; the gazpacho was heavenly with the perfect balance of flavors and the soft serve.....oh the soft serve was to die for! Run...dont walk to Bravas.

Great Spanish food, some of the best I’ve had anywhere! The paella was perfect (not too oily, balanced flavor, great quality ingredients) and the sangria was really good. Highly recommend! Prices are affordable ($100 for two with apps and drinks)

Do not miss this restaurant! Amazing outdoor dinning area. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We booked the day before and done a family style lunch. We're celebrating my bday. The food was all amazing. One of my friends brought a bday cake and the staff even brought us some dessert plates and forks. We liked all the dishes. Croquetas, pastas bravas and the paella were probably our favourite. If you are a fan of goat cheese, don't miss the cauliflower and the brussel sprouts as the sauce has goat cheese in it!

Excellent dishes for sharing as with the Tapas style. Tortilla espanola was great in particular. Recommend the fried pig ears and the mushrooms. Pallela was a rather large portion for the smaller 2 serving size. Highly recommended for a visit in what looks like a restaurant modified from a large house!

Amazing dinner and easy to make reservations. Had the pallela, which was different from most I've had (heavy with tomato sauce), but still delicious. Also had the croquettes, cauliflower and the duck eggs. I would eat here every week for the croquettes alone.

Nice authentic Spanish food spot. Most dishes were great, The potatas bravas were a major miss, texture was off. Shishitos with chorizo was not great. But Jamon, pan con tomate and anchovies were super high quality and amazingly flavorful. Worth the visit for those three dishes alone. Olives, croquettes and cocktails were very good as well.

Must order: Octopus! Beautiful outdoor space in the back, they offer small plates and large plates so you can come for a snack or a full meal. Don't miss out on their drinks! The Sangria I tried was awesome but the Lavender Lemonade was my favorite. Service was amazing as well, our server was attentive and even gave us recommendations for other things we can do during our visit.

Enjoyed the tapas and paella a lot here. The pig ear, mushrooms and octopus were tasty and the paella was a really large portion for two. The octopus was so tender and appetizing. Everything was perfect at this restaurant! The food came step by step and it was delicious. The people that work there are properly trained in order to make you feel confortable. Both the apetizers and the paella were amazing. The taste is special, it is not similar with other cuisines. I loved it and I highly reccomend to stop by if you sre in the area!

February 2022: Came here for dinner and enjoyed a variety of tapas and the paella! The scallops were probably my favorite tapas. I also liked the canned sardines. The paella was very delicious too. Lots of seafood: big prawns with the heads, clams, fish! I'd definitely get that again! Service was a little inconsistent. I'd come back for more food but would hope to get better service!

Fun night for drinks and tapas. The paella is also something not to be missed. Our favorite tapa were the crispy pig ears! Trully appreciate the Spanish drink/wine/sherry options that are harder to find. Service is also very helpful and friendly. Can't wait to come back.

When in Healdsburg, CA try the tapas @bravasbardetapas Really everything we ordered was good. The octopus and the calamari were excellent. They were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and presented. Also the portion was big for a tapas bar. Highly, highly recommended those items. Then I would also get a tin board. We went with sardines, because they are my favorite. The board comes with pickled veggies, bread, and sauces to top the tinned item you pick. The pickled vegetables were really good, would order these as a standalone item. The pork cheek bocadillos is the other item I would recommend. The meat is tender and the salsa verde is tangy.

Wow! Just wow! Everything was beyond delicious. We had the asparagus and I wanted to pick the plate. The crab stuffed peppers were heavenly. The papas bravas was a tasty comfy food. We also enjoyed the octopus. Service was great. Atmospher is cozy. We can’t wait to go back.

This was stumbled upon, but wow what a find! One of the best meals we had all weekend on Sonoma County. We sat indoors because the outdoor seating was packed. We recommend the lamb sliders and the scallops! Cocktails were a great break from all the wine tours. When we bragged about it to some locals, they raved about the people that own it.

I enjoyed an excellent experience on a weeknight. The food and cocktails were both delicious. I highly recommend the cured meat, cheeses and chilled soup. Their Barcelona cocktail is exceptional-definitely a cut above the rest. It's an intimate setting, and the indoor dining area is very crowded without much space to maneuver between tables.

First time here and what can I say, DELICIOUS! I wasn’t sure what to expect I didn’t really look this place up it was recommended to me but I wasn’t sure what to expect. We sat outside since it was beautiful and it was a gorgeous atmosphere such a ambience! Dog friendly! And the staff was very nice. We started off with a kale salad and goat cheese toast and oh my all the flavors were delicious! We didn’t even get a chance to take a picture of the octopus because we were so excited to try and WOW 10/10 dish. Then finished off with the steak! Although the dishes didn’t feel “big” entree style all of this for two was filling! Very delicious, would definitely come back!

Loved Bravas!! Wonderful duck meatballs and chicken croquetas, best paella ever! I had a stiff sangria with my meal, my husband had two glasses of Amontillado sherry. They surprised me with a birthday dessert! How can you not love Bravas?

We have been 3 times now, and we are never disappointed. We travel from Sacramento area, and we go out of our way to eat here anytime we are in the area. The food and drinks are equally incredible. So many flavors to taste. I love the small plate concept. Bravas delivers the flavors and fun. Go on a busy night and the place is buzzing, with each table trying different items. My mom and I met my niece and boyfriend for lunch during the Thanksgiving holiday. Pictures are of eggplant chips which are great, croquetas and grilled octopus. We did try the seafood Paella which was nice. We sat outside and had a heat lamp which kept us warm, even Nanny was warm enough. Service was excellent they accommodated our needs, my mom had mobility difficulties and webwere able to navigate restaurant with her walker. Would like to go again and try more dishes.

Our family had lunch here on a Wednesday. We had reservations but the restaurant didn't seem too busy. We ended up sitting in one of the front windows which was bright and airy. Our server Frank did a great job at being attentive without making us feel rushed. He made good recommendations and kept the lunch flowing without much waiting between plates. We really liked the Iberico ham, patatas bravas, mushrooms, cauliflower, spinach, eggplant, clams, brussel sprouts, octopus, scallops, skirt steak, and chicken thighs. The flavors here transport you to Spain. As with most tapas restaurants, we ordered a bunch of dishes to be shared between us. These dishes are on the larger size and would be better shared with 3-4 people than amongst just 2. Or plan on taking home leftovers. We ordered the beets, the asparagus, the artichoke, the crab stuffed peppers, the prawns, the duck sliders and the rum balls. Beets were tender and flavorful. A nice cold dish to start the meal. The asparagus were a favorite. Perfect cook with tender asparagus and a great lemon kick with toasty cheese accents. Artichoke was a miss for us. The leaves were tough and the sauce was not quite balanced. Crab with peppers was a star! We wanted to take a bottle of the sauce to put on everything. Great flavor and textural balance. Cheese sauce was exceptional. Prawns were great. This was the dish that transported us back to Spain the most. Tender shell on shrimp with a scrumptious sauce. Duck sliders were great, but felt out of place. Basically a meatball slider. Moist and packed with flavor. Bun to meat ratio is great. Rum balls. Yes! Get them. Kimberly took care of us and was a fun energy. The patio is a great space. 100% would go back.

Stopped by for Sunday lunch on the way home from a camping trip. We were seated in the patio on a sunny afternoon. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, gave genuine recommendations, and was very hospitable. Tapas can get pretty expensive, so although prices seemed high, the food quality and positive service experience balanced that out for me. Ingredients tasted fresh, meat and seafood were perfectly cooked. We were a fan of the olives (give us more pickled green next time!). I was excited to see pig ears on the menu. The sauces were excellent. We especially loved the salsa verde that came with the calamari, and the olive tapenade with the chicken dish. We dipped our ham sandwiches in the salsa verde and it added a fresh lightness to the sandwiches. Overall a great lunch!

This place is great if you're into DELICIOUS Spanish food, wine, sangria, and cocktails. You walk in and great ambiance. Everyone is so friendly. They have a cozy, roomy heated back patio if you're with your pup, comfortable backyard seating area for sunny summer days & wonderful inside seating. I highly recommend reservations because the food is so good you may not get in. You have to try the sangria, all of them if you can. Menu here won't disappoint...the only thing that will disappoint is your inability to fit more delicious bites/drink in your tummy. This place is my new go-to in Healdsburg. I had the octopus, which is hard to cook perfectly, also had the crocetas-DE-LISH!

My husband is from Spain and to say the level and quality of the food went beyond expectations is a lot! 😜 everything was delicious and the service super attentive and friendly. The outdoor patio was a great vibe. We had boquerones (anchovies), patatas bravas, scallops with romesco, octopus, crema catalana, and though everything was fantastic, my favorite dish was the clams in a chili broth. So so good!! My husband was stoked to have Estrella Galicia beer and I had some great mocktails. They then toasted our anniversary with a complimentary carajillo (coffee with liqueur)! It was a great place for a date lunch or dinner but it also catered to families and doggies outside. Highly recommend!

We came here on a recommendation from our hotel. The cocktails were very tasty and well crafted. The service team is very friendly, wear fun T-shirts with witty phrases and serve up the small and larger plates as a coordinated family. The dishes were all very tasty. They advise to go with 2-3 tapas plates per person. We went with 4 dishes and a bread to sop up the sauces from the Dungeness crab-stuffed peppers and the Octopus.

Taking 1 star off and leaving 4 star review because the jamon iberico (which should be a standard if any tapas place) was dry and poorly put together (poorly cut, odds and ends).

Very friendly wait staff. Don't just walk by the house looking restaurant. Stop in and go out back to check out the patio. You'll be glad you did.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. We had 2 red sangrias and they were just ok. The paella was great, and so was the crab stubbed peppers and the lamb sandwich. We had a pretty good time. The only problem is that there were too many flies and it got to be annoying. There were able to seat us despite being walk ins on a Wednesday afternoon.

I ordered their Strawberry fields cocktail and it was refreshing and right up there with my favorite margarita type drink. Their tapas are just the right size to share and ordrring 2 or 3 is enough to fill you up. A very tasty place!....I recommend making reservations.

Well my son likes the food there..second time for me..price point high fir the small tapas served, cute place with outdoor seating. Quite popular on weekends and busy throughout..parking can be iffy..otherwuse..I had tried mosty what they have..some dishes are OK but portions along with price would not justify me going there again..would try a different place ..few dishes taste and flavor ok..but if you go there hungry it will not fill you up..seating inside seems close ..noisy at times feels crowded..some people tend to talk loud inside or outside

Our waiter was frank, he was super knowledgeable about the dishes and super friendly. He also suggested things for the child we had with us. He brought out ice cream for the birthday girl as well. All of our food was delicious! There was a sauce served with the steak that is definitely for different pallets because my pallet wasn't feeling the taste of it. Other then that it was such a wonderful first experience with my friends.

Long been a favorite Healdsburg restaurant of mine. This time around, ordered Duck Meatballs, Steamed Clams in Cava, Chicken Thighs and the Skirt Steak. This was good enough for 2 people. The dishes were excellent. There's outdoor seating in the back, but we dined inside.

Super chill place for tapas. A little commercial but still good. Nice wine selection. We had the patatas bravas, mushrooms, paella and octopus. I will say the octopus was super rubbery but the paella was good

Beautiful restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating and the outdoor bar is a great place to grab a drink on a warm day. We had a few appetizers, all of which were great, and the paella. The paella takes 30+ mins to make so plan ahead if you plan on ordering it. We weren’t the biggest fans of it as it didn’t have any socarrat which really makes the dish in my opinion. Not sure if we’d come back to eat but definitely would come back for their delicious cocktails. Outdoor seating is also dog friendly which is a plus for dog owners.

The outside patio was beautiful and the food is good. The service was also great! However, the food is most definitely not the best tapas I were have. Nonetheless, if you are ever in the area and is craving tapas, this is definitely the place to be!

Very cool ambiance, alfresco eating in a large back yard offering a wide variety of delicious tapas ! Loved the croquetas, the gazpacho, tortilla Espanola and the red onion skirt steak! And it is dog friendly! Service was great. Only thing that was blah were the Brussels sprouts.

Octopus is tasty. Prawns would have been better if they were more fresh. Pig ears are the best for the crunchy texture, like fries. Skirt steak was best, medium rare, with caramelized onions and cheese. Ambiance in the dining room is cheerful.

Really nice experience sitting outside and enjoying some very good cocktails. Food is good without being amazing. Surprisingly, the Spanish style pasta was the favorite dish. There is better food in town, but sitting outside with a cocktail and some decent tapas was a nice way to spend the evening.

Bring your appetite and your culinary curiousity. This restaurant serves generous sized tapas and a nice array of cocktails to match. Outdoor dining (with heaters, thankfully) had ample seating, but reservations are recommended.

Octopus: 5/5. Of all the dishes we got, this is the one that wow'd me. Juicy, flavorful, soft--it's a must order. Fried Eggplant Chips: 3/5. I didn't expect these to be caramelized! Very crispy but a little too sweet for me. Goat Cheese Toast: 3/5. Cheese topped with caramelized onions. Each order only comes with 2 tiny pieces. Lamb Sliders: 4/5. Good burgers, but small. I also got a complimentary scoop of vanilla ice cream for my birthday, with my choice of one topping (sea salt). The waitress was really nice and even added a little candle for me to blow out. 4 dishes between 2 people was enough to have us feeling 75% full. I'd say this might be a nice place for happy hour, but given the price and the small portions I wouldn't return on an empty stomach and expect a full meal.

Good food and excellent outdoors eatings. We particularly enjoy the seafood selections. Easy street parking in the center of the city.

Everything was delicious the only thing that we didn't like is that we waited for the appetizers so long and they were delivered 20 minutes apart from one another. Other than that everything was delicious we plan to go back.

Popped by for brunch and had a great meal. The Duncan mushrooms were perfectly seasoned and absolutely delightful. The Dungeness crab-stuffed peppers were a standout—delicious and bursting with flavor. As for the paella, it was a bit inconsistent; one side was slightly undercooked, while the other side was cooked to perfection. Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Highly recommend!

One can tell the chef is new. The once delicious paella is more just average. The rice was dry and flavorless, it had many spicy green chilies, it was more like a Mexican dish than a paella. I was greatly disappointed

We went for dinner. We had reserved a table in the covered patio and it was really nice. The decor was decent. Service was a bit slow but the staff were friendly. Food: Tomato and olive breads tasted good with the olive oil. Fried eggplant had a nice rosemary flavor but a bit salty. Patata Bravas: The potatoes didn’t have any seasoning and tasted bland. The tomato sauce needed a bit more cooking and the aioli tasted like mayo. Paella: It was decent. We asked for some harissa sauce and the paella tasted really good with a little bit of a kick.

We came here a few years ago and thought it was great. Unfortunately, this time around was not. The services was fast and friendly, but the food came up short. We started with a couple of cocktails, the Jamon iberico, pan tomate, duck bocadillos (meatballs), spinach, bacalao and the octopus. The pan tomate had too much garlic, the duck was dry and tasted gamey, the spinach was good. The bacalao was interesting and I am glad we tried it, but will not order again. The flavor of the octopus was good but the texture was off. We saw a lot of people ordered the paella. Maybe we should have had that instead.

We visited this restaurant recently and while the food itself was very good, the service left a lot to be desired. Our server was noticeably cold and indifferent from the start. She never checked in to offer us another drink, and at one point even brought over another table’s already-signed check. It was disappointing because the meal had real potential, but the lack of warmth and attention from the service took away from the overall experience. With better hospitality, this could have been a much more enjoyable evening.

The bacalhau cigrelli was interesting and fun, olives on the side were a pleasant accent! Chicken croquettes with gruyere cheese were simple and enjoyable :)

I love to tip generously, and this restaurant experience gave me no opportunity for that whatsoever. We had to ask for tap water three times, from three different people. Our server greeted us by asking if we were ready to order. My husband's beer glass had a huge crack in it, and it drained out all over the table. When we pointed it out to the server, he didn't even wipe up the mess. He just took the beer away and ended up leaving the beer on our bill. As we finished plates, we stacked them up to the side, and nobody cared to clear them. Extremely negligent service. And what a shame because most of the food was very good. (pork skewers with pineapple was very weird). What has happened to basic manners in the service industry? Wildly disappointing.

Based on the popular reviews here, we decided to check this place while we were visiting Healdsburg. We tried different tapas and Paella and I found the paella was bit salty and rice was undercooked. I can say I had better paellas in the Bay Area . The other tapas were good but the portion was disappointingly small for the price. I will probably come back to try another types of tapas or drinks but overall the experience was subpar..
