Azzurra Cucina in Henderson, NV continues to be a standout dining experience—so much so that our second visit confirmed what we already suspected after our first: this place is something special. We originally found Azzurra by accident two years ago after a long, exhausting day exploring the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon West Skywalk. We were starving and looking for something hearty, comforting, and memorable. My wife discovered that Azzurra had excellent reviews and was nearby, so we gave it a shot. We quickly realized we probably should have made reservations, but to our surprise—and gratitude—Walter welcomed us in and found a way to accommodate us. From there, the service was exceptional and the food was simply the stuff of dreams. We left knowing Azzurra had earned a permanent spot on any future Nevada itinerary. Fast forward two years, and our return visit was every bit as impressive. This time we played it safe and made reservations, and Azzurra once again delivered the best meal of our entire four-day vacation. The food was impeccable, the servers were warm and attentive, and the kitchen staff clearly takes pride in every dish that leaves their line. Azzurra Cucina is one of those rare restaurants where everything comes together—hospitality, atmosphere, and truly outstanding food. If you’re visiting Las Vegas and want a meal worth remembering, make the short trip to Henderson. Azzurra will not disappoint.

Date night with my husband at the bar seating, the restaurant was already full of reservations. We had a lovely dinner of shrimp risotto, salmon, happy hour calamari, a bread platter, and the ricotta cheesecake. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious! Our server/bartender Molly was attentive and kept herself busy doing side work/other when her guests didn’t need her. This location is reservations only, although their wine bar next door I think takes walk in seating.

My wife and I visited this establishment tonight with no reservation and they got us in despite being very busy. We got a nice table and the service from the start was outstanding. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and it was very good. For the main courses my wife ordered the Penne Vodka and added sausage ($9 extra). She enjoyed it very much. I ordered the Squid Ink Linguini with mussels, shrimp, and scallops. I enjoyed the dish very much and highly recommend it for anyone who loves seafood. We had a nice dinner together and our server was very attentive, was very knowledgeable about all the meals, and provided excellent service throughout dinner. I highly recommend trying this place out. The only drawback is the atmosphere is a little loud but not terrible. We enjoyed ourselves.

As always, I arrived for a work trip hungry, tired and ready to find some amazing grub! I was not disappointed, driving less than 15 minutes past my hotel to find Azzurra! Great service from Molly at the bar, she’s friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I over ordered food wise so have enough for brunch tmrw 😂 Restaurant is small and clean with plenty of windows. Restrooms are clean, service is great, food is fab. I’ll be back!

We had a wonderful evening! Walter, Sheila the bartender and Carlos our server was amazing. We came in for happy hr and we had the rum old fashion, hanger steak, truffle fries, bread, and 2 glasses of Merlot! Everything was delicious and mouthwatering. Service was exceptional! Great staff and wonderful food!

First you have to have reservations as seating is limited. If the weather is nice they have outside seating also. First we had David as our waiter and he did an awesome job. He was fast, very good on explaining things and had a great personality. Now the food we had was awesome great flavor. So if you are looking for a nice dinner this place is for you

We enjoyed a delicious meal at Azzurra. The truffle fries were crispy and full of flavor, the Romano chicken was tender and, the spaghetti and meatballs was a classic comfort food. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere made it an overall great experience. NOTE: We had a reservation and this is recommended.

Great food. Nice menu with a decent selection of foods. We chose the gnocchi and the scampi. Starters were bread basket and a burrata salad. The salad was amazing. Cheese was excellent, great balsamic was used and sweet tomatoes. Mains were pretty good. I have had better gnocchi , but this was on par with many top restaurants. Dessert was divine. Strawberry Panna Cotta. Would highly recommend.

We had a delightful dinner at Azzurra Cucina Italiana over on Water Street, Henderson Nevada, last night. It is a small, intimate yet casual restaurant that requires reservations. The décor is best described as fun and lively. The menu is surprisingly extensive. The food in a word is exquisite. Our server Carlos was very personable and offered excellent suggestions for our first time being there. We began with one of their Cucumber Martinis, which was perfect, as was their Pinot Grigio. For starters we enjoyed the Fried Calamari that was super tender, lightly breaded and so fresh tasting. We also had the Arugula and Pear Salad that was nicely matched with a vinaigrette dressing. For mains we had the Chilean Sea Bass and Veal Saltimbocca. These were both heavenly! So beautifully prepared and tasty. Though we hardly had room, we ordered the Tiramisu and we were so glad we did. It was amongst the best we have ever had. Executive Chef Alessandra skill came through on every dish and certainly matches the best we have had at top LV resort restaurants. Kudos to the entire team. We will certainly be back!

Great little place on Water Street...... food was really great and our server very attentive. For what we had i thought it was a little pricey for the location. We don't drink so all we had were two salads and two entrees with the special fish of the day, no sides or other appetizers and no soft drinks. Our bill was $160 before the tip. Turns out the Chilean Sea Bass was $60 and we both had it. It was a large portion and very good.....i just felt it was a bit pricey for the location. I did notice the entrees on the menu were more in the normal range you would expect from a local restaurant. We will definitely be back.

My absolute new favorite place! Wow, what an experience! Here are the details: Chose this place from those gorgeous photos on their website, looked so yummy. Completely missed the part about needing reservations, yes, it’s written on the website multiple times in big red letters. I was so excited that I missed that part. Reservations required is also written on the doors when you arrive, this part is very important. They couldn’t possibly be more clear about that part so please ensure you do that. As luck was on our side that evening, they were able to find a spot at the bar for us with a short wait. We were greeted by a wonderful host (owner) who was very friendly and welcoming. The bar staff was so friendly, answered so many questions we had and interacted with us the entire time. We had awesome patrons to our left, those ladies taught us so much about the place. (Hello ladies, hope to see you guys there again!) The atmosphere reminds me of restaurants in other countries. Yes, they are small with a great vibe. Like Rome, New York and Tokyo. Small and quaint, gives it a more personal dining experience. You can see the kitchen from the bar and it was part of my entertainment to watch how they made everything. The food look so beautiful and the taste was soooo yummy. It was beyond just sitting down, eating food and leaving. Each taste is savored, so good!! It was a nice treat to meet the chef outside on our way out. I’m sure she hears this all the time but wow, the food is amazing and the family atmosphere is something that will keep us coming back. This felt like a mini vacation in some European country. Just loved this place! Thank you for the service, great food and fantastic staff.

I always prefer to dine in a restaurant at least 2 times or more to get an accurate feel, vibe and taste for the dining experience. We have been here 3 times now and the service is top notch. The restaurant itself is very small, clean, bright and cozy. It is traditional coastal Italian so the dishes are lighter in nature. They have an excellent happy hour between 4-6 which will allow you to try several items on the menu. This place is exactly what water street needed. It is a nice Italian restaurant to go to without having to drive all the way to the strip. A reservation is required so make sure to book online.

Could it be bigger? Sure. But it would lose some of its charm. No wonder it takes a while to get a reservation. We had the roasted beet and goat cheese salad and the Caesar to start. Both were delicious and just the right size. Then my wife had the Rigatoni with sausage and mushrooms. It was perfectly Al dente and sauced just enough. Simple, but delicious. I had the Chilean Sea Bass special served on wilted spinach with tomatoes, capers, and black olives. It was cooked in olive oil and finished with EVOO and butter. Simple, delicate, and tender/flaky. Last we had the Nutella Cheesecake and Strawberry Pana cotta. Most places go too dry and stark with a cheesecake. Sticks to the mouth and isn't pleasant. Not here. This was silky and milk "chocolatety" (it's a word). The same with the Panna cotta. Most places go too heavy on the gelatin and it's more like a milky jello than a creamy, pudding. This was perfect. Bright strawberry flavor without being too sweet and fresh berries on the plate. 10 out of 10. Will return.

First time here. The food was great, and our server, David, was awesome. Nice atmosphere also. We will definitely be back.

Definitely recommend but make sure you call to make reservations as it’s a small restaurant. Service was excellent and food was outstanding. They happy hour between 4-6 with some great smaller options to try several things. Happy hour drink menu too. I got the chicken parm that comes with a small side of spaghetti. I’m not a fan of red sauce so asked to sub Alfredo and they were happy to accommodate. We bought the kitchen a round of beer for $8 as a thank you. I could go on and on about each dish. Everything so fresh and delicious.

Azzurra Cucina Italiana is perfection! The menu, ambiance, service, and food/drinks are all amazing. The wine selection has plenty for every palate. During this visit, we enjoyed so many dishes, including the gnocchi, cauliflower, scallops, and hanger steak. For dessert, we did the spumoni bomb and panna cotta. I can't wait to go back and have a cocktail on the patio!

Walter is a true gentleman. The staff was very knowledgeable of the menu and specials. We saw" reservations only :on the door, but we still got in for the best fine dining in all of Nevada. 5 stars doesn't being to say how impressive this hidden gem is. Talk about teamwork! Top notch Now, the food was even more impressive than the service. The wine and beverage list was right on par. From starters to dessert, this place didn't hesitate to amaze your taste buds and leave you oh so full! As I am a foodie, this is the best place that deserves 100% straight across the board

Went to this restaurant last week. You must have reservations. Extremely small restaurant (I think there were only 8-9 tables and limited seating at the bar). Food and service were excellent. Located in old downtown Henderson. Will definitely go back again soon.

This was such a pleasant surprise! This authentic Italian restaurant was a delightful discovery, nestled in an inconspicuous location. It’s the small cozy feel, the lovely and talented family-feel service, the quality ingredients, the paired drinks, and the absolutely mouth watering cuisine. Try the market fish. I trust that it’ll knock your socks off. Also try the burrata salad, yum!

Great addition to Water Street. Food was excellent all around. Good happy hour selection of drinks and small plates. I always try the octopus when I see it on a menu, and this might be the best one I’ve had. The prosciutto wrapped filet mignon with risotto was a perfect combination. Also might be one of the best meatballs I’ve had at a restaurant.

Atmosphere is upscale and very nice decor. Service was wonderful, and waiter was very pleasant and knowledgable of the menu and days specials. Food was very good, as we usually eat at a Vegas restaurant we changed it up and tried this place out instead. Risotto was amazing, fresh bread is good, truffle fries were good, and Burrata salad was small but delicious. I got the chicken parm, and others got the gnocchi bolognese, and the hangar steak with mash potato’s. We were all pleased with the dishes, and everything was cooked perfectly. Would definitely go back. ;)

I was so excited to be one of the first few people to try this new place out and I hope it's here to stay! Food was AMAZING!! I got the octopus as an appetizer and it was so good, it had a good char on it and the flavor was delicious, the beans were a little on the crunchy side but they were still good. I also got the shrimp capellini scampi and it was so good, I finished it all. Kinda pricey but if you can afford it then try it out! You won't regret it.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Azzurra Cucina Italiana, a true gem in the heart of downtown Henderson. The evening began with a refreshing ahi tuna and mango appetizer salad that was nothing short of spectacular. The ahi tuna was impeccably fresh, perfectly complemented by the sweet and tangy mango, creating a vibrant and invigorating start to the meal. For the main course, we enjoyed the sea bass on a bed of spinach and the chicken parmesan, both of which were extraordinary. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, with a delicate, flaky texture that simply melted in the mouth, while the spinach provided a rich, earthy counterpoint. The chicken parmesan was equally delightful, featuring a golden, crispy coating encasing tender, succulent chicken, all smothered in a savory marinara sauce and topped with melted mozzarella. To top it all off, we indulged in their Tiramisu, which was truly amazing. The layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and creamy mascarpone were perfectly balanced, making for a heavenly finish to an exceptional meal. Azzurra Cucina Italiana delivers an authentic Italian dining experience with dishes that are as beautifully presented as they are delicious. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the service impeccable, and every bite a testament to the chef's skill and passion. Whether you're a connoisseur of Italian cuisine or simply seeking a memorable meal, Azzurra Cucina Italiana is an absolute must-visit. Bravo!

Good job! Food was excellent. Service was great. Cute little restaurant. MAKE A RESERVATION! It looks like a rez is required tho we were able to get 2 seats at the bar as a walkin. Chix marsala had great flavor. Veal parm was terrific. And as normal with Italian food, it was just as good, if not better the next day. Large portions. Legit Italian personality at no extra charge 😁 we will be back. Neighbors had a smoked Old Fashion that looked amazing. Next time.

Restaurant is small but cozy, fun decor and great ambiance. Our bartender Shiela was attentive and friendly. We met the owner and Ricky, one of the servers there all came over and gave us great service! Food was excellent. We had the Bone-In Pork chop and the cream mashed potatoes as a side. Beet salad and mussels and clams as an appetizer. All great! We will be back to try their Chiliean Sea Bass and we have to try their Hazel Nut Panna Cotta next time we are in!

Every so often, you stumble across an experience that emotionally moves you and affects you indelibly. On one of my first occasions to stay an extended period of time in Henderson, I requested that the concierge where I was staying recommend a restaurant whose food would change my religion. Without hesitation, the staff recommended Azzurra. Within walking distance of the Atwell suites, I had one of those experiences. Molly recommended the Grilled Octopus and the Linguini Clams. Everything about this experience was beyond expectations. Molly the hostess/bartender and trusted curator of the Azzurra menu (way more than a mortal bartender/hostess) was an instant friend. Alessandra, the executive chef, was a force of culinary nature in the kitchen and Walter, the glue that holds it all together was a conductor of this surreal symphony. Azzurra is simply the Opus Magnum of this team of professionals and I was the humble beneficiary of their efforts. I am forever a grateful patron and evangelist.

This fabulous cozy little place is the very definition of hidden gem. Do yourself a favor and try this place out as soon as you can. Before it becomes so popular that you'll have to make reservations weeks ahead of time to get a table. We tried them out on a Thursday evening for dinner. I saw there were multiple reservations available online, so I didn't bother making one. There were plenty of tables available when we got there. The location is easy to find and there's plenty of street parking around. The restaurant itself is super cool and emits very cool Italian cafe vibes. Definitely a great place to bring a date. The service is absolutely stellar and rivals much larger and more expensive restaurants. The menu has a perfect amount of variety and price point options. There are some very expensive dishes, but there are also many very affordable ones. The halibut special and linguini with clams plates we had were molto delizioso. Ridiculously good. Honestly, stop reading this and go try them out. You won't regret it.

Booked dinner to overlap the peak heat hours during the first day of Henderson's free Hot Rod event on Water Street. Was greeted promptly, seated, menus and water delivered. Started with an Azzurra Spritzer ($10*): Refreshing but also had a bite. Server Javier described the specials; I latched onto the Arugula & Pear Salad ($18): Goodly pile of greens, pear slices were snappy, generous helping of gorgonzola, the right amount of vinaigrette. Was tempted by the happy hour pastas, but I wanted to feel virtuous so chose the Zucchini Noodles ($26), and had a ($7*; nice pour) glass of Brancott Flight Song Sauvignon Blanc "20% lighter in calories"! Noodles: Small mound of the vegetable, topped by four large tail-on firm shrimp. Menu claimed there would be a "touch" of tomato sauce, but there seemed to be almost too much, a bit thin in consistency. Tasty dish overall. Dessert was communicated verbally; selected the Pumpkin Cheesecake ($12), which was a nice-sized and spiced wedge [had some takeaway], along with a splash of Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky ($16). *Happy Hour pricing Value: More than decent whether Happy Hour or not. Atmosphere: Wee space brightened by the light wood, bright blue, and grey-blue accents. Place was very busy. Service: Great from Javier.

Service and food were amazing! Had the smoked old fashioned with Japanese whiskey that was super good and my wife the chocolate or espresso martini and loved it. My Capellini Scampi was delicious, and the wife's Linguini Clams made my mouth water. Limited seating, so get your reservation in early...We definitely recommend Azzurra!! Oh, and save room for dessert!!

Azzurra Cucina Italiana is a revelation in Henderson's dining scene, especially in the downtown area. As a standout in fine dining, it brings a much-needed upscale Italian experience to the city. The ambiance is elegantly welcoming, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu features stellar dishes like the grilled octopus, which is superbly tender, and the beet salad, a refreshing delight. But the true masterpiece is the Chilean sea bass – a dish that epitomizes culinary perfection. The service at Azzurra Cucina Italiana is as impressive as their cuisine. The staff's knowledge and passion for Italian food and wine elevate the entire experience. In short, Azzurra Cucina Italiana is not just Henderson's finest Italian restaurant; it's a culinary oasis that has raised the bar for fine dining in the area. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates exceptional Italian cuisine. While it is on the pricer side especially in comparison to what most would be used to Henderson, the price point matches the service and quality. Highly recommended!

If you’re a fan of Italian cuisine, this place should be at the top of your list. I recently dined here, and both the chicken parm and risotto were exceptional, setting a new standard for Italian comfort food. The chicken parm was perfectly executed—crispy on the outside with just the right amount of breading, yet tender and juicy inside. The marinara sauce was rich and flavorful without being overpowering, and the melted mozzarella on top was a nice touch, creating a satisfying, gooey bite every time. Paired with a side of al dente pasta, this dish felt like classic Italian done right. As for the risotto, it was pure perfection. Creamy, rich, and packed with flavor, it struck the right balance between a comforting texture and the depth of the broth and seasonings. You could tell the chef took care in preparing it, with each grain cooked to the ideal consistency. It’s rare to find risotto done so well outside of fine dining, but this place absolutely nailed it. Overall, this restaurant offers a cozy ambiance that pairs well with their standout dishes. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food. If you’re craving authentic Italian, especially chicken parm or risotto, you won’t be disappointed here.

The food was AMAZING!🤤❤️ Definitely a hidden gem!! Fabritzio was our server for the night, he was very kind & knowledgeable of the menu. We started with grilled Octupus & soup of the day. I had the night special Sea bass over steamed spinach & hubs had the Chicken parmesan. We can’t wait to come back! 10/10 recommend! 😋

Hello to a little gem in Henderson serving excellent traditional italian food in a fun and cozy setting. The restaurant is a small and modern place in downtown Henderson on Water street. They have bar, outdoor and dining room seating. Reservations are recommended due to the limited seating. This was our 3rd visit and each time it has been fantastic. The menu has a nice variety of classic/traditional Italian dishes with differing price points. They have an excellent happy hour menu from 4p-6p daily. Our favorites have been the the frutti di mare, hangar steak and penne alla vodka. The service is exceptional with attentive and engaging staff. This is easily one of the better italian restaurants in Las Vegas.

Here’s a NED-style review for Azzurra Cucina Italiana: --- ✅ What Works Well - Authentic Italian cuisine with a focus on fresh ingredients and traditional recipes. - Standout pasta dishes, wood-fired pizzas, and rich sauces. - Cozy, intimate atmosphere—great for date nights or special occasions. - Attentive, knowledgeable staff who make excellent wine pairings. - Beautiful plating and consistent quality. --- 👎 What to Watch Out For - On the pricier side, especially for appetizers and wine. - Reservations often needed on weekends. - Limited seating; not ideal for large groups. - Menu may be less suited for picky eaters or kids. --- 🎯 Verdict Azzurra Cucina Italiana delivers a refined Italian dining experience with bold flavors and a warm, romantic vibe—perfect for lovers of authentic cuisine. Went here with my family for my birthday and it is such a cute place! We sat on the patio and with the heaters, it was perfexrly comfortable, even with it being mid January. We ordered the drumstick appetizer as well as the fried cauliflower and they were both delicious. Drumsticks were slightly spicy (which i love) and risotto it was served with was SO good. For the entree, I split the spaghetti and balland a pear and arugula salad. Both were quite delicious. We also got the tiramisu and it was amazing. The waiter was so friendly and the owner came around and said hi to everyone. We paid about $55/person which included 3 appetizers, 5 entrees, a salad, a bottle of wine, a couple beers, and a dessert. I would highly recommend.

This place was absolutely FANTASTIC in every aspect. My husband and I were just driving through town and happened to find this gem for dinner. We didn't know it was reservation only but we came in with our service dog George and we were welcomed gracefully and were able to sit at the bar! The atmosphere, the food and the staff were all amazing. This place was also special because my husband is severly lactose intolerant and this is the first italian place we have actually been able to enjoy together with no issues at all. We had such a great experience. Thank you everyone! We will definitely be back in the future and will recommend to anyone coming to the Vegas area.

We made a reservation to celebrate our anniversary, and it was the perfect choice. I love Italian food (I’m Brazilian-Italian), and this restaurant truly delivered. The service was amazing from start to finish. The menu is excellent, with a wonderful selection of daily specials—there was truly something for everyone. To start, I ordered the arugula salad, and my husband chose the seafood soup special—both were absolutely delicious. For our main dishes, I had the Capellini Scampi with chicken (a daily special), and my husband ordered the squid ink linguini. Both dishes were outstanding and full of flavor. We also ordered dessert, and my favorite was the ricotta cheesecake—what we call torta de ricota in Brazilian Portuguese. It tasted just like the one my nona used to make: light, creamy, and lemony perfectly balanced. A truly nostalgic and delicious way to end a special anniversary dinner. The service was attentive and warm, making our anniversary feel extra special. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to return. PS. If you plan to try, make a reservation ahead of time…

My recent visit to Azzurra Cucina Italiana was truly outstanding, exceeding all expectations. I can confidently say I'll be back for sure! First and foremost, the food was absolutely amazing. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with passion. Beyond the incredible cuisine, the experience was elevated by the fantastic service. Our waiter was brilliant and made us feel right at home and turned our dining experience into something really fun and memorable. The restaurant itself is both comfortable and cozy, creating a lovely, nice atmosphere perfect for a relaxed meal. I had initially expected the prices to be high since a reservation was required, but I was pleasantly surprised to find them incredibly reasonable given the quality and entire experience. Azzurra is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for authentic food, warmth, and great value.

The best. Atmosphere, Food is so good, the owners work there and interact with the customers. The place is small so you need a reservation. Wonderful time great people I promise you'll love this place. Remember to buy the kitchen staff a drink. Have fun.

Great food, unrefined service, but they mean well and seem to care. This ain't no red sauce place- you'll find some interesting things on the menu such as a grilled octopus plate, beautiful baby clams and mussels served in a broth that could stand up all on it's own as a meal. But you'll have to buy the bread.

While in Las Vegas for Thanksgiving, we went to dinner at Azzurra Cucina Italian and had a very good experience. The food was excellent, great taste, creatively and appropriately made. They had a good wine list, as well. Our biggest complaint was too many special. There was a special salad of the day, a fish of the day, an entree of the day and I believe a soup of the day. It was just too much to remember. This is worth checking out.

D
David Starrett

Nice place to eat. The quality of the food and the quantity is good but some of the dishes can be a little on the bland side. The shrimp scampi pasta had too much garlic and was a little runny. The shrimp was suppose to be large shrimp but I found them to be on the small side and only 4 of them. The chicken parmesan is their best dish with the serving a good size and the chicken was tender and the sauce tasty. Nice wine list with good selection.

M
Matt R

I think this might be the worst restaurant I have I think this might be genuinely the worst restaurant I have been to in my life. This food is straight out of a package. The sauces are not fresh, the meat was incredibly chewy and low quality. Came here so excited just to have returned my main course. Service was also incredibly slow but the server was nice and he knew the food was bad. Seems like it is common thst people complain. I felt like I was on an episode of kitchen nightmares.
