I came here recently to meet a friend who recommended this diner. It was conveniently located to local highways and very easy to find. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I got the chicken and cheese quesadillas, which were delicious. My friend got the chicken and waffles, which she liked. I enjoyed the country pop music, a homey/ relaxed feeling to the diner, very friendly. I heard it was recently redone, this was my first time here, I was visiting from out of the area. I recommend the diner and would love to return in the future. I hear it’s also convenient to local shopping, which is great! Fun!

Artistic decor, beautiful natural light and great service. For almost 18 dollars I got a southwestern skillet and it was huge with lots of potatoes and steak, the eggs were cooked to perfection. It was a little oily but I can’t complain this place was staggering.

Broadway diner has redone the interior which updates the look to a comfortable rustic look. High tops have been added while tables and booths remain. The food was delicious. Seasoned nicely. My friend and I both had omelettes. Coffee was delicious. There is a wide variety of choices on the menu, like any good diner. The menu is a bit shorter, so it is very manageable

The interior is very cute and clean. I’ve never seen a diner that looks like this! I liked it. And they staff was very sweet and attentive. I ate by myself and didn’t feel rushed.

Beautiful diner. The wait staff was excellent and very attentive. My daughter had a Reuben and I had Eggs Benedict. We were both very happy with our meals and each had enough to take home for another meal.

Nick was absolutely fantastic! He was friendly, polite, and had such a great attitude from start to finish. Not only was he incredibly nice, but he was also impressively fast — our drinks and food came out in record time without ever feeling rushed. He made sure we had everything we needed and checked in just the right amount. You can tell he really cares about providing great service. Honestly, one of the best waiters we’ve had in a long time. I flew into NY at the last minute to share Thanksgiving with my 92 yr old mother in Hicksville. Exhausted after travel & with mom short of groceries—Broadway Diner’s $30 roast turkey & apple stuffing dinner was WONDERFUL. We ordered online & bought 2–but it will feed us for 2 nights easy! Soup starter, moist well-cooked turkey with apple stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, mashed potatoes, broccoli & spinach —and even cake!! I picked it up—but the servers were very friendly. I picked it up at 2:30 (they closed at 3) & warmed it up at 5–it stood up well to reheating. My mom was so pleasantly surprised by this great dinner—for a great price. I didn’t rate the atmosphere because I dashed in for pick up & dashed out—so didn’t have a chance to take it in. Thanks for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner! The photo doesn’t include the soup or cake!

Broadway Diner in Hicksville has always been pretty awesome. The food is fresh and there are quite a few choices so something for everyone! They just did a very nice renovation, and they decorated for the holidays, so it looks very pretty 😍 👌 😊 The waitress was very nice 😀 All in all a very good place to go for a casual atmosphere with no dress code 👍🤣🙏✌️

UPDATED REVIEW! (1/22/2023) A friend invited me for breakfast, so I gave a local place a second chance. I'm glad I did. WOW, what a difference! I wonder if this is a new owner or just revamped management, but what a difference in the quality of food and service. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was just fantastic. The diner also got remodeled and looks modern and extremely clean. I definitely will go back again! Will not order it again. We used a door Dash, so our total was 97.50. 1. Black Jack Burger.. they forgot, called sorry, nothing we can do 2. Philly Cheese Steak, Stale bread, and the steak was dry and overcooked 3. Baked Moussaka we threw out smelled like old meat was used 4. Chicken Quesadilla, no flavor; the chicken had the texture of rib meat patty 5. Rueben Sandwich was ok, but sour kraut was not, tasted old 6. Best thing we had was the Cole slaw and pickles Such a shame, with so little diversity of take-out food in the area

Every time we go the food is good and the service is great. I've ordered stuff not even on the menu and comes out great every time. Again the staff goes out of they way and helpful but not pushy.

It has been redesigned and looks great on the inside. The food however was not how I remembered back before 2014. The pancakes were raw in the middle (this was rectified though after we caught the attention of the waitress to let her know), the AVACADO toast was basically guacamole spread on a piece of toast. Our waitress was average, the order was correct and portion size was not an issue. The coffee was great and kept hot!

Fresh grilled chicken mandarin salad was fresh, crisp and richly dressed with a sesame ginger dressing. Service was good (enough). Busy, but not noisy or feeling crowded. Dessert showcase was fabulously tempting...but I called on an inner strength (closed my eyes) and avoided a stunning chocolate chip NY cream cheese cake. If you go, please have that cake and let me know that it was terrible!!!

We've visited the Broadway Diner in Hicksville on several occasions, and it has consistently delivered an exceptional dining experience. The diverse menu offers an array of tempting options, from fresh salads and hearty soups to flavorful gyros and entrees. However, the real standout is their incredible milkshakes, particularly the Cinnamon Toast Crunch variety. Furthermore, the diner recently underwent a very impressive interior renovation, enhancing the overall ambiance.

The food was great, the atmosphere was what one would expect from a Diner so it's the usual. While the service was good...I couldn't help but feel like we were being rushed out of the place. It wasn't anything he said or more so than it was his demeanor. Never did or said anything wrong but both myself and my partner picked up on a bit of a rush-ish kinda thing. Other than that one thing...would try again if I'm shopping nearby.

Service could be improved. To have empty water and coffee in a diner setting is very unusual! Especially then you're one of four tables throughout the restaurant.

I'm going to be honest and say that today was an anomaly.... I love this diner. Me, my wife and kids usually love this diner, friendly staff and great food. Today (4/23/24) though, was a HORRIBLE experience. My family of 6 went there ready to spend and eat in celebration... There was one other table with two people in the ENTIRE place and multiple times we waited over 15 minutes while the staff all just stood in the middle of the restaurant talking to each other until I went up to them and asked for what we needed. They didn't bother to ask if we were OK except for when the food was first dropped off, staff were doing absolutely nothing but standing in the middle talking to each other. My kids needed water, we wanted more things and even just the check at one point, but the staff couldn't seem to care enough about us enough to help us out so we left and bought what we were looking for elsewhere. I've never felt more unwelcome and uncared for than I did today here. A shame because we were so excited to go there and experience the diner... But due to staff not caring at all the food was mediocre while the service was horrible. We will be back eventually, and don't let this deter you from going, but the staff there today made it not worth the effort of going. I look forward to the next time and hope things go back to normal because we always love eating here with the usually awesome staff, friendly environment, and great food!

Nice comfy place to have brunch. Pictured is one of their salads, the spinach salad with the gyro meat upgrade. It's so flavorful that it didn't need any dressing. Coffee is $3

Very nice surprise. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive and fast. The food was all cooked perfectly and most dishes proved to have excellent price to portion ratios. I would have give half a star more for the rare combo of excellent service and great value. The only minor criticism I have is that the classic diner menu was maybe too classic with few out of the box choices.

We had a lovely Sunday breakfast here. Good vibes, friendly staff, ample parking space. Blueberry lemon pancakes were amazing. Will visit again when I'm in the area.

Update: Still a well recommended diner. Try the skillet, burger and eggs Recently renovated. Went from a semi old school feel to a more modern, sleek, clean feel & look. The burger was good but it was dry and at times the bacon overpowered the whole burger. Sesame seed bun is a plus 👍Overall it would still be one of my go to diners.

service and aesthetic were awesome, food was kinda mid-tier. they were able to accommodate a super large party, which was appreciated. portion sizes were pretty standard, not too much or too little. I ordered a single milkshake (that didn't taste that great but looked amazing) and stole fries from my friends, which was filling enough to count as my dinner. the chocolate cake on the mousse milkshake had a liquor-y taste, which is probably standard but unexpected to me as I rarely go to american style places. overall a fun experience :)

I enjoyed my visit there with my friends! The our meal was inexpensive and delicious and the atmosphere was cheerful. The staff was very friendly but slightly inattentive, but we are very forgiving so it wasn't a big deal. The hash browns were delicious! I added curry ketchup to my leftovers the next day and they were also delicious. 😋 The location is convenient so I'm sure we'll be back someday.

Nice diner. Great, artistic decor. I stopped in when I happened to be on a rush and I was shocked how quickly my food came. Our server was nice. Food was good, mostly. Reason I didn't give a full five stars were: My hash browns were not good. But perhaps Others might enjoy. The ketchup in a cup which is a pain because we wanted add on top of our food. And my son's kid size apple juice was $5.50??? I can get two quarts for that lol. Overall nice place. Staff were fast and friendly, food pretty good.

Update 2/24/24 Had the brisket it was good but lean and sliced oaper thin. Baked beans tasted like right out of a can. Bacon on the BLT was tasteless. All in all food is very uneven woth one rxveption for us. We ordere pancakes as an appetizer. These were the BEST pancakes we ever had. Maybe we'll be back for breakfast. Was going to give two stars as we waited for 30 minutes before even the drinks hit the table. Then the food came. Four stars to average out the service with the five star food. This place serves serious barbeque. I had ghe half chicen. Moist thru and thru. But I'm warning you. It is strongly smoked which I usually do not enjoy but somehow this was the best smoked chicken I've ever had. Cole slaw was fantastic but ghe beans were mediocre. Still I cannot wait to come back and try the pork, ribs and brisket.

Recently renovated, doesn't have a traditional diner feel - walking in feels more like a BBQ joint, dark interior with lots of wood and brick accents with a full bar being the main focal point. Menu is limited compared to other diners, but has the staples. For midday it was empty, lots of open tables and staff was basically waiting around to be of service. Of all the renovations, one thing they left as is were the bathrooms, which could stand a freshening up, lighting was dim etc. Overall, it was good for a quick bite.

Went here for lunch around 1:30p on a weekday with some folks from the office. Not busy, at all- maybe four tables full of customers. They had a lunch special for $18.95 for a soup, soft drink and entree. I ordered their chicken soup, which was okay- just a lot of chunks of chicken which I would normally say is good, however it was overwhelming. I ordered their BBQ burger with turkey patty instead of a beef patty, and the waitress asked me how I would like my turkey patty cooked. Uhm, I was like a deer in headlights because it’s not a beef patty, so the turkey patty needs to be cooked fully to an internal temperature of 165, just liked grilled chicken. So she goes “well?” And I’m said “Uh, yeah.. it’s turkey.” That was the first thing that really surprised me. When the burger and fries came out, I checked the patty and it was cooked how I would cook it at home (thank goodness). It was okay- not the best but not the worst. They also give French fries and a pickle. Personally I am not fond of pickles, so I just put it on the side. My co worker got one of their milkshakes— the rainbow cookie shake, and said the shake was wonderful, but the cake they top it off with was dry. My other coworker got the normal beef burger and said there was no flavor at all. I would choose a different diner spot for lunch next time I want a diner. I would only return here for dessert for those shakes.

I'm a server myself and was disappointed at the service received. We placed our ordered, our food came out before our drinks and we had to ask for silverware because none was given initially. We all ate our breakfast and had to ask the server for our drinks again. She forgot someone's drink and we asked again. The food was delicious but the service was not good. However I still tipped accordingly.

Took my family to the diner for the first time. I love the decor and atmosphere. Food was a good sized portion and was average. It's the service that was lacking. It was not busy when we came in, yet it took awhile for the server to take our order. There were 2 men standing in the middle who kept looking in our direction and chatting. I was trying to catch their attention, but was ignored. Food arrived quick, but what really irked me about my experience is how the server didn't even return back my change. I never said to keep the change when I paid in cash. The server assumed it was for her to keep as gratuity (well over 20%). Unbelievable experience and not in a good way.

I ordered over easy eggs, sausage, and home fries well done. I stressed super well done crispy home fries. And the waitress brought out soggy under cooked potatoes I thought to myself, she must be new. A good waitress would never bring those out when you asked for a super well done crispy potatoes. Pretty generic. Weird specials. I had a mixed girll type special. Stuffed shrimps were gross. Pork chop was dry. Sides were just ok. No pickles or slaw . No fried clam app.

Slow service for Mother's Day. Probably only about 7 tables total, the servers didn't come back to check on us. I guess the manager came once, toward the end. I had to flag a server for a refill. Took a while because they didn't even look at the guests. We were all sitting on the same side of the restaurant.

Yesterday, I went to this diner for my cast dinner. I was so excited because this was my last dinner with the whole theatre cast, but wasn’t that hungry, so I ordered the ultimate fries and a strawberry milkshake. First of all, I had to ask 3 waiters where my order was because everyone else around me were either eating or waiting on their next meal to come out. Meanwhile, I waited with nothing but a water. Then, my milkshake never came, even though I got the simplest one. The only reason I gave a 3 star rating was because we had a really big party. I don’t usually write reviews, but I would just like to share my pretty bad experience with this diner. Thanks.

With only 5 other people in diner n manager n 3 servers our male waiter tool 5 minutes to greet us 4 to bring drinks. Then another brought food no knowing who gets what. He didn't check on us for another 20 minutes. Then disappeared and I had to find manager to get check n pay

Very cute and clean inside. Lots of parking as they have their own lot. We went for some classics diner food and because we heard they had cool milkshakes. However it was not what we were hoping for. The food were all just OK - the chicken parmigiana 6/10 had a lot of cheese and the chicken was good but their tomato sauce was really lacking and watered down which caused the dish to be lackluster. We got the Belgium waffles with strawberry ice cream and although the ice cream and syrup made it better, the waffles were not up to par being on the harder side in texture/cook. The Mac and cheese tasted like the Kraft boxed Mac and cheese. Their fries albeit not the big steak fries as classic with diners, were pretty good 9/10. The coffee milkshake was amazing 9/10 and I would go back just to get that but only that - it had a perfect blend of coffee and ice cream where one didn’t overpower the other and it wasn’t very sweet which made it perfect; however the Cinnabons on top were hard and not tasty (tasted like the ones in Costco or bjs). The rainbow cake milkshake 6/10 tasted like chocolate milk and was too sweet and nothing special; however they rainbow cake was redeeming and my kids liked it. The chocolate mousse milkshake and the donut milkshake were all the same and tasted like basic overly sweet chocolate milk; the donuts were horrible but their carrot cake was good (we substituted the chocolate mousse for carrot cake as no one in my family likes chocolate mousse). Overall, we are probably not going back which is disheartening as their servers were friendly, patient, and attentive.

A good diner with an expansive menu. I have eaten hear a number of times and the food rarely disappoints. I tried many items on the menu and really enjoyed the turkey burgers that were made from scratch. (They've since opted for the bland frozen version). The portions are large and the price is reasonable. It can get busy during peak hours.

The place is nice and clean staff is nice not too chatty I would like to say maybe because it wasn't that busy they were understaffed... however the food was okay but it wasn't that hot it was just warm , the pancakes weren't that great ! it was crunchy it was like it was on a hot plate just sitting! yucky maybe they can look getting these things corrected because there was a couple that came after us that were going to leave because they were waiting too long(yikes)

The diner has recently been renovated. It looks very nice, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. We sat quite a while before our orders were taken. Once our food was brought to our table, nobody checked to see how we were doing, or offer refills for our drinks. After finishing our meal the waitress brought our check with no offer of desert or coffee. It was very quiet when we went, and I can't imagine what the service would be like if it were busy.

Service was bad. Almost empty diner and still took the waitress ten minutes to even acknowledge I was sitting there waiting to order. Was overcharged in the first place, and then when the food I ordered that didn’t come out, I asked for an adjustment to the bill and she said it’s going to be the same price. So, if you get your food or don’t, you will still be charged for it.

Ummmm...I usually don't write reviews, let alone bad ones. Ordered chicken noodle soup and there are definitely noodles in it...but that's about it. I paid for noodles in broth. No vegetables, not even celery. And not a chicken piece in sight. What a joke. The matzoh balls were a messy shape and the bread with my egg sandwich was like rubber. Nope.

The taste was fairly average and didn’t quite meet expectations, especially considering the higher pricing. Overall, the value didn’t match the cost.

Be sure to call before you go and confirm their hours. Came here just now at 10:02pm (on a Monday) and they were closed? The doors were locked and three people inside were counting money. Their hours posted on the door say open til 11pm. It's not a holiday. I'll change my review if I decide to go back and try their food.

Food was overpriced and wasn’t up to expectations. We were not informed about expenses on drinks and ended up spending $50 on juice. There was gunky crust on my fork. Pls refund. I felt a little queasy after eating the Philly cheese steak. Do not go here!

My family and I arrived at the diner at 6:30 and sat there until 6:45. In the course of that 15 minutes, not a single waiter approached our table to take our order - there were four of them standing at the counter doing nothing, and only 3 other tables with guests in the whole restaurant. Terrible service. We walked out and they said nothing. I wouldn't recommend this diner to anyone - go to the Hicksville Diner instead (they actually serve you and the food is great!)

To the owner of this restaurant, You guys make good food but the service is bad. Your staff never smile. Also whenever we come here the utensils are never clean. Sometimes coffee cups and sometimes forks. We came here for good food but dont like the fact that we dont get the food with cleanliness.

A disappointing first diner experience. I was excited to try Broadway Diner, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The atmosphere was classic diner-style, and the service was friendly, but the food was a letdown. We went for breakfast, and the ingredients tasted stale and looked unappetizing. I couldn't finish my meal after a few bites and even started to feel nauseous. Sadly, I won't be returning. Maybe it was an off day, but for a first timer, it was a bad experience. 1.5/5 stars!

Well everything is very good but the problem was white taken my order never came back at ny table to offer me more coffee. Only had one cup coffee that I order from the beginning with with food that’s all and never came to ask how the food. Anyway rather than no problem.

Ordered a grilled chicken BLT wrap was disgusting fell apart. When I picked it up was dripping in grease. The bacon was all fat, completely inedible, and the waiter did not come by our table once to ask how we were doing he clearly seen I took one bite of it and then didn’t touch anything else and then when I told him what was wrong with it, he didn’t say a word and didn’t take it off the bill. And to make it worse on a 90° day it was sweltering hot in the diner no air-conditioning.

The food was okay. Service could be a bit better. SUPER OVERPRICED!

Unfortunately, our experience at Broadway Diner was very disappointing. We greeted the staff politely, but no one responded—not even our waiter. The service was cold and inattentive. The coffee was terrible, the sausages were cold, and we were charged for a juice we never ordered. We usually enjoy breakfast out, but this was an uncomfortable morning with no warmth or courtesy. We won’t be returning.

I just left the Broadway Diner in Hicksville. I asked if the tuna was white or chunk light. The waitress said it’s white. I said are you sure it’s white and not chunk light? She said it was white tuna. It was not. I did not eat it and complained to Pedro the manager. He agreed it was not white tuna. They did not take it off the check. I told him I would not be back. I rarely ever leave a bad review.

I ordered a western omelet, which tasted like the grill and was very dry. The potatoes wre tasteless.

⭐️ 1 star This diner needs serious improvement in both food quality and customer service. I ordered a salmon salad, and after a couple bites I immediately noticed a strong spoiled fish odor. It was so bad that I couldn’t continue eating. I sent it back because it clearly was not fresh. What made things worse was how it was handled. The waiter came back and tried to defend the dish and argue, insisting it was “fresh,” instead of apologizing and offering a solution. He was rude, argumentative, and showed absolutely no empathy. They didn’t offer a replacement or anything to make it right. We were there with clients and still paid for three meals — including the spoiled salmon dish that I returned. If you care about quality and respectful service, I would avoid this place.

Went in to order something to go. Waiter asked me if I needed more time and I told him I needed another minute. There were only 2 tables in the whole place at the time. I didnt realize that "I need another minute" to him meant "give me about 20 minutes". Walked by me numerous times, asked me if I was ready and I said yes, and then he walked by me another 4 or 5 times. He rang up a table that was leaving even though there was someone standing at the register. Dont know how the food was since I just eventually got up and left. Definitely not going back. There's a reason the place is a ghost town ever since the old owners sold it I guess.

I drove a full hour to eat here for a special occasion because they advertised mimosas all day every day (on their online menu and again as soon as you open their menu inside the restaurant), but when we ordered a mimosa, they said they didn't have their liquor license.

They are BACK and throwing their trash all over ppls cars! Not only are their flyers on cars but they are now all over the ground, in the bushes, and going down the storm water drains. They want your business They are happy to pollute the whole town while they are at it. A gross and disgusting place that only cares about how they can pull more money from you at the cost of the town. Avoid this place or they will think pollution will get them paid.
