I personally love the Levittown location, by far some of the best pizza in NY. I just wanted to note I've spoke with, I believe it was Chris the owner regarding a Mobile App for Calda Pizza and now after reviewing your Google+ page I think the we need to have a serious discussion about your social media presence. There are multiple negative reviews not to mention an irrelevant image of a woman where your brand should be positioning your establishment very poorly online not to mention confusing. I've been eating at this place on and off for over 30 years, best pizza in Hicksville, and the chicken parm hero's are awesome. Whenever I am in NY, long island, this is a favorite place to eat and I love the ppl this guy hires to work there, always courteous and obliging.

I order from Calda Hicksville every Thursday! 3 or 4 pies at the least.I manage an evening program for disabled adults in Hicksville, and they love Calda’s pizza! The day program also orders every week! Elvis is the best! Catered orders for our parties and special events are always super delicious! So glad we found Calda! Great food and service! Couldn’t ask for more! Keep up the good work Elvis!!! If you haven’t tried Calda you are missing out!

Great tasting food. I did once have an item that was not prepared the way it usually is. I considered it a hiccup. We really like the place.

Just ordered a half mushroom / sausage pizza. The sauce was tasteless , hardly any cheese , and the mushrooms & sausage were not that good . Won’t get pies from them anymore . With that said every time we get pasta dishes and entrees for takeout they are EXCELLENT

Food is delicious, excellent quality, and they have a great special on certain days of the week.. I would highly recommend, the salad , grandma pie and chicken cutlets Parm hero. I could actually name everything on the menu.

eating here since 1976. The bearded owner is back in Greece but the place tastes and runs like he's still in the back. Outstanding neopolitan pies thin and crispy with excellent sauce and the correct kind of cheese. There are two kinds of pizza places on long island, the ones that use the right cheese those that dont.. Calda uses the right cheese. The salads are delicious and the heros follow suit. I haven't been here since I accidentally crushed an employees car with my cement mixer after having two slices and a bottle of water. PUSHED IT TWO BLOCKS and could not see it or feel it. Anyway I just went back and its nice to know it's still EXCELLENT.

The girl that answered the phone was a pleasure to talk to. I ordered a Tossed Salad, Bella Hero & a Pepperoni Pie. All were freshly made and delicious. Delivery was fast. Will definitely order again. Highly Recommend

This is one of the top Pizza shops in Plainview/Hicksville area. Especially good is the Chicken ala Vodka slices. Staff is very friendly and courteous. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Only problem is it tastes so good it's hard to stop at eating two slices.

Been coming here for decades and it's even better than I remember it as a kid. So freakin' good, best pizzeria around.

I used to come here many years ago when I used to work few blocks away and never gave a review! This place has amazing pizza that I still think about and I tell everyone about this place. Best grilled chicken Caesar salad ever!

We showed up with our entire softball team, 20+ people at 8pm on a Saturday night and was not disappointed! The food was fast and so delicious. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

I love going to this Calda, it’s the original one. Their regular slice is absolutely top tier. Nice crust and not so much cheese and oil dripping everywhere. The younger people that work behind the counter are absolutely nice people. They’re very friendly and you can see they actually care that you’re there. Kudos to all of you at Calda. Keep it up! 🙏🏻

Food has been delicious. Servers have been friendly. Definitely one of our new spots going forward. Love the fresh flavor of the sauce on the Sicilian slice. Buffalo chicken slice is a fam favorite and the Greek Salad. 1 year Update: still consistently great and best garlic knots too.

Went in this evening after work around their closing time. The staff were very nice and the pizza was very good. Will be returning! The marinara slice was delicious.

I worked in Brooklyn most of my career and put calda chicken bacon ranch up against anything Brooklyn has! Place is always spotless, staff super friendly. It's a bit of a walk from hicksville rr, but if you have two slices? Great way to walk it off. Their garlic Knotts are spectacular also!

Calda Pizza never disappoints! Their buffalo chicken (with a side of blue cheese) is so delicious. The perfect amount of buffalo chicken, and cheese, it is sublime! The speech artichoke pizza is also super delicious!!!! Nothing beats their amazing super garlicky garlic knots! I dream about them daily! Once more thing that is a must try....the Greek salad! The dressing is so good you can drink it! Thank you! The staff in both locations I've been in have been fun, personable, professional, clean, and timely! I live in Suffolk county, about 35 mins away from the Hicksville location, and ever since I found Calda’s, I’ve made it a point to come to them specifically when I want some GOOD Italian food! The pictures do not do justice! you need to check them out yourselves! The food is always bursting with flavor, the atmosphere and energy of the staff are unmatched…they always greet you with a smile and are courteous from the moment you walk it to the moment you leave. I don’t want to say it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had but im willing to bet you’ll love it here too 🥰 enjoy!

Finally a great authentic NY pizza!! I'm a truck driver and order pizza when I come thru NY but have been pretty disappointed with other pizzerias claim to be "NY style pizza". This place delivered the perfect pie! Finally a slice I could fold and eat!!! Definitley found a place to order from when I come thru here again.

I have been going to Calda pizza since I was tall enough to see over the counter which is a long time ago.(1979) That alone should tell you how good Calda pizza is

Calda makes the best pizza dough. Their piazza dough rolls are the best. Other piazza palor doughs just don't compare. Test tase for yourself!

Been coming here for years and rarely have they disappointed. Pizzas are always delicious and reasonably priced (though, if you’re getting toppings, make sure you ask for “well done” crust as pizzas with toppings can often come out a little soggy), pastas are good (their tomato sauce is a little on the sweet side, which may be unappealing to some), and entrees are freshly prepared, tasty, and are amply portioned. They even have great salads, gyros, burgers, chicken fingers, and other somewhat non-standard pizzeria items. Never had a truly “bad” meal here.

Needed a quick food fix. Was there for a slice - pretty good. Not overly oily & salty. Last there when I was in high school. Still a quality place. Need to go back to try other menu items to get to 5 stars.

I placed a Grubhub order. My pizza as always was delicious. I ordered a piece of cheesecake as a treat. It was a total waste of money. $8.95 for a sliver of tasteless mushy falling apart cheesecake.

Great pizza consistently. Employees are always quick to greet you. Staff is alert unlike other pizza places where staff is on their phones or joking around with each other instead of helping customers.

Good pizza. Behind counter should try to smile a little and not be rough on handing the food to customers. ComeON guys y’all in public service not gang! Lol

Pizzas were delicious, but some slices were thicker than expected (i.e. Bakery slice). The pizza sauce itself was very delicious. Service was ok with some wait time, but the staff were friendly. Location does have some parking available, but limited spaces in parking lot and street. Restaurant's dining area is a very nice atmosphere that's clean and brightly lit.

Bad Location, Small Location, Inadequate Parking, Everytime The Front Door Opened, The Whole Place Got Cold Inside. Pizza Was Good, Service Was Good, Staff Was Friendly...

Was a weekly staple when we lived close by. Was in area this weekend so decided to order takeout. Ordered the Salsice Rabe. Probably the best broccoli rabe/sausage dish I've had anywhere!! only 3 stars due to side of penne marinara. That had to be worse sauce I've ever had. A can of tomato paste has more flavor. Very disappointing from an Italian place. Should be 5 stars...Calda please get your sauce in better shape. damn.

Massive slices! I've ordered takeout from Calda Pizzeria a few times, and the portion size is seriously generous - I can barely finish one slice! The pizza has an authentic New York-style pizza taste, and the service is efficient. If you're craving a classic NYC-style pizza, Calda delivers. 3.5/5 stars!

I’m sure from what I was told this should be an amazing experience, however… from the initial order the server seemed very distracted and unsure! However was able to remember to advise me that the driver doesn’t receive “tip”…. Driver arrives stressed the secretary out about he doesn’t get a blah blah and the the food was cold no paper plates or the blue cheese for the buffalo pizza that was 35.31 that includes the del service charge plus the secretary handed driver 5$ cash so they get three stars You win some You lose some!

I have known and have been going to this place specifically for a number of years and since ownership and management has changed hands it has not been for the better if I'm being honest. The quality of the food & in general is not anything like it used to be

Placed a lunch order - Delivery. Spent over $40 bucks. Food did come hot however it came with no utensils and they did away with the dinner rolls. Food is mediocre. The salad was not cleared and without the dinner rolls; they should close their doors...

I ordered a gyro platter. It was supposed to come with Greek salad but it came with Caesar salad. Not so bad but my gyro had no onion or tomato the fries were soggy though they were the best part of the meal sadly. I've had great gyros there before but not going to try again. This was not the first time the food was disappointing.

OK, so let’s start off with this, I came to this location, probably seven times already and every time I’ve been trying to give it a chance, but today I couldn’t stop myself from posting this first off their Sicilian slices are always doughy not fully cooked, sauce, barely has any flavor. Also, if you get the big ziti pizza, the pasta are still rockhard to uncooked. The only thing that’s good here it’s it’s garlic nuts and it’s Caesar pizza… regular pizza slices are mid

Loved their Pizza slices! Update 3/2023: Had to drop my rating from 5 to 2. I am a customer here for the past 6 years. The food served on my last two visits has been below average. The restaurant is short staffed. Service and food quality has gone down. I might give one more try to this place, hopefully things can improve, otherwise it will be my final visit to this Calda Pizzeria.

Terrible customer service, they were cursing and being very rude to my friends and I when we were trying to order pizza, it was our first time ever coming to that pizza shop and they treated us very poorly, one worker was very sweet I did not catch her name but she was cleaning tables

The 2 slices of pizza I couldn’t finish to eat because were 2 salty. Extremely salty and i had to threw away.

My hotel is literally a 6min drive from here, and I was told my food would be here in half an hour. I called an hour later to find my food and instead of being asked for my name, they asked my address. I told them the name of my hotel and the road and they said the driver had just left. So we called the driver, who proceeded to scream at my wife so loud i could hear it across the room, that she gave him the wrong address. YOU'RE A DELIVERY DRIVER! TYPE IN THE HOTEL IN GOOGLE MAPS. I cannot believe I had to spend $45 to get screamed at. And when I talked to the manager on the phone he literally didnt offer to do anything for me about it. Ridiculous. Updated- the address on the receipt is correct, and no prices are listed on the receipt at all.

The owner seems to misunderstand that the neighboring high school kids are what's bringing him business, so showing them some sort of respect is key for having them to come back. I for one was one of many kids that was mistreated by this man, mistreated and ripped off, who knows how long that's been going on for. The menu has one price but he charges you another, no where close to the original. I refuse to step foot in this place ever again. Rather give business to other pizzerias in the area. If I could rate this place negative starts I would but unfortunately due to Google's rateing system I'm required to give this sad excuse of a restaurant one star.

ok, the people behind the counter are all young rude kids... disappointing, they're just there to goof off and hang out with their friends that walk in at night I think if they see older people come in, they start acting like *it's their spot*. I am NEVER coming back to such a unprofessional atmosphere, it was soo uncomfortable just standing around waiting for my pizza, I wanted to back out my order right after I realized they were joking about me placing what I had. i cant express how offended i felt when walking in. I go to school next to this place and yes, people walk in there to hangout and i can see how this would be an issue if they didnt buy anything, however i don’t see a point in yelling “BUY SOMETHING OR GET OUT” to every customer. they have no right to be speaking to ANYONE in that way. if people had an issue in the past with them saying it nicer thats that persons issue. it’s rude to tell someone to get out when theyve done nothing wrong. we ended up taking our food to go because the workers made us uncomfortable. this was never an issue last year and they really shouldnt be speaking to people like that unless that person has been an issue before. cashier also had an attitude. so just for the future, i advise the managers to train their employees to do better and treat people with respect. i may also add, i was with 2 other people and we ordered 2 things but they said we cant stay cause there was 3 of us. and they said we cant share like hello?? anyways this place has terrible service, the food has also gotten lower quality over the years, just tastes average now.

Unfortunately its quality has gone down hill a LOT! They are rushing and making mistakes that really shouldn’t happen. Quality is just not there when the workers are making pies or preparing the food. I had ordered an eggplant pie with a house salad, and the dough was raw and thin and tasteless . The salad was still drooping with water at the bottom. Very Sad. The workers have lost interest , and it just turned my evening upside down. Very upset and my family isn’t happy at the situation.
