It’s a small place but very authentic. They get super busy here but food was delicious, and they have chips&salsa while we wait for our food. We ordered 3 plates for just the 2 of us and it was wayyy too much food 😋

Great atmosphere here. Love the inside of the place and all the lovely decor all around. Ordered a gotta for lunch with fries. Waitress let me know they ran out so I had asked for a side or rice. But the cook was like “she wants fries I’ll give her fries!” And made fresh fries for me. Which I LOVED because these kind of fries are my favorite. Whoever the cook is…your are the best sir. Thank you!! 🙏🏻

Awesome fish tacos, serving sizes are huge. Little bit pricey, but where isn't in 2023. The chimichanga was perfectly fried. The chips taste great, and the redd salsa is bomb!!! Will definitely be coming back.

Delicious, homemade Hispanic food in a tiny building that needs some love. When we moved to Highland, we spent the first few weeks painting our newly-bought house and prepping for the move from Fontana. This have us the perfect opportunity to Doordash some local spots. Taco Joe's was one of those places. We ordered some nachos, tacos and burritos and we're really interested with how tasty it was. We vowed to go and have a meal there once everything opened back up from Covid, so that's what we did today. The place is small. It's a little run down on the outside and had that local spot charm to it. Knowing the food is good, we were excited to try some of their other options. We walked in, we were greeted and seated quickly. The menu is quite large with a lot of different options and they serve breakfast all day! We ended up ordering the queso fundido, the albondigas soup, a potato taco (my wife's favorite from our previous experience), the ceviche tostadas and a shrimp suizo burrito. Yes, a lot of food. Waitress was nice but seemed to be in a hurry as it looked like all the staff helped out everywhere doing anything they could to help. We know the food is good, but let's talk superlatives. I always remember when a place does something in particular perfectly and this place recieved one today. They have THE BEST homemade tortilla chips I have ever tasted. They came straight from the fryer to our table and were thin and crispy and perfect! No lie, we went through 3 bowls and took whatever we didn't eat home. Their salsa is solid, but the chips; they are the best I've ever had. Hopefully, they are consistent and are like this all the time. Now, the albondigas soup I had might have been the best thing I had today, but I was pretty impressed with all of it. The soup was flavorful and had delicious meatballs and veggies, the queso came with seasoned chorizo and jalapenos and was excellent with their corn tortillas. The ceviche tostadas were super fresh and honestly, were a massive amount of food. My burrito was heavy, but very tasty with fresh shrimp in it. We had to take a lot home, but we really liked everything we had. The food is fresh, seems to be homemade and is reasonably priced. The service was good even though we didn't get something we ordered, we still had multiple different people ask us how our food was and if we needed anything throughout. We saw what looked like a homemade taco salad bowl come out and it looked so good. With a big menu and everything we've had so far be super good, we'll be back. For me, this place is right on the line of being a 5 star place. I can't put my finger on why I didn't immediately think 5 stars, but I feel like there is just a little more that could've done with the service and restaurant itself to give off a cleaner and friendlier vibe. Don't get me wrong though, the food is crazy good and I will be back. Maybe I'm just a bowl of albondigas away from adding that 5th star. Best homemade tortilla chip award goes to this place!

1st time eating at Taco Joe's food wasn't bad but was pretty expensive. The main thing that really annoyed me was the misleading prices of the online menu vs what you pay. I ordered quite a few things which should have had my total to about $70, when the lady finished taking my order over the phone she told me it would be $97. Come to find out the menu they have online is priced about 30% lower on every item, very misleading. When I picked up my order the lady told me it's priced a dollar more which is wrong it's priced like 3 to 5 bucks more per item and to top it off she only threw in 1 hot sauce of red and green and when I asked for more she only have me 1 more. =/ Overall I'd say 2/5.

Horrible service the waitress was so rude and didn’t even let us finish speaking so our whole order was wrong. Then when we tried to ask for it to be fixed she was having such an attitude. The chicken in our burrito taste burnt and finally she said she would talk to the manager. She said the best they can do was 20 off which was 2 dollars and some change according to the receipt. We are more than willing to pay but can we at least have food that is edible. This was our favorite place but the service and quality has gotten so bad. Save your money and they don’t try to fix any mistakes.

Horrible service been coming here for years never had any problems but they’re always going in and out of people that work there different faces it’s been a while since I ate there came in today with my daughters finally got seated at 12:45. Another family walked in after us got seated down. We waited 10 minutes. The other family got served their drinks as well as chips and salsa. Then our server decided to come finally and ask us what we wanted to drink and took our order then she left and started servicing other people and we still did not get our drinks or chips and salsa. Finally after waiting for 2O minutes I decided to get up and tell her to cancel my order When she asked why I told her we’ve been sitting here for 15 minutes and you haven’t brought our drinks or chips and salsa, but you service another customers that walked in after us let alone they do not have children but they got full service. You would think that when you come with little children, they would know that children don’t have that much patience to wait the least you could’ve done was brought them their drinks. I will not be going back to this restaurant anytime soon. I’m not saying I’m completely done but they definitely need to work on their customer service. I’d also like to add they did have staff in the restaurant it wasn’t like they were understaffed. The other guy that was servicing tables kept looking at us over and over and over again and still did not bring chips or ask for our drinks but went to different tables and brought their drinks and their chips. Ps One out of five stars I gave it a zero. I do know the server’s name, but I’m not going to post it, but I should hope that she reads this and changes her approach on handling customers. I mean, you are waitress server/work in a restaurant “ Too busy shouldn’t be in a waitresses vocabulary. “

Horrible tacos, worse than taco bell. In my hardshell tacos I had tiny bit of beef, and then the rest filled with lettuce and tomato. Meat had no flavour and was dry. What is this??
