Absolutely incredible - authentic Lebanese flavors. They make unique plates varied daily with powerful taste. This family has been serving Houston’s culinary environment for decades. A must try… & repeat

We’ve traveled through multiple Middle Eastern countries, and this meal was easily one of our favourites. We ordered the lamb chops, which are a new addition to the menu, and the beef ribeye shawarma. Both were outstanding. The lamb chops were grilled to absolute perfection. The restaurant also has a large tandoor oven, so the pita and flatbreads come out fresh and delicious. The sides were just as impressive, and the hummus, baba ganoush and zaatar fries were all packed with flavour. They also offer an all day breakfast menu, which we are already excited to try next time. And the desserts were incredible. The baklava was beautifully crispy, flaky, nutty and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and the portion was generous. Even though you order and pay at the counter, the service was truly memorable. Maria was incredibly warm and attentive, and she shared the history of the restaurant, which made our experience even more special. We cannot wait to come back and we will definitely be recommending this place to all our friends!

An institution that used to serve the Southwest Houston neighborhoods, now has a shop off of Katy Freeway and Studemont. They are open 7 days a week, serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and has an elegant and cozy dining room. I ordered a combo plate with kafta and chicken kabobs with rice and spinach. I also ordered a small hummus which came with 2 large pieces of pita bread. Everything was great, including the quick service. Will definitely continue coming back.

A Houston treasure. Located near the Geights. Food is spectacular as ever. If it is in your budget, the family still makes and imports their amazing, unfiltered olive oil. Friends feel it is the finest one can find in Houston. I, personally, make my falafel as a 50/50 of the Egyptian style with fave and the more traditional chickpea and they do the same here, resulting in an truly excellent falafel with a great “crunch”. Their shawarma is now made with ribeye. Highly recommended. Check out the photos.

The meal I had here was absolutely incredible. Truly the best food I’ve had in Houston yet. I ordered the combination platter with chicken kebab and chicken shawarma, with a side of rice and garlic potatoes. Everything was delicious and made from quality ingredients. The shawarma was a showstopper. It was outstanding - hot, juicy, and so flavorful and tender. It has set the bar incredibly high for all future shawarma I come across. We also tried the hummus and freshly made pita - I could happily eat this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The homemade pita here is light, fluffy, and piping hot. What a treat. We also got the house salad, which was bright and refreshing, it balanced out the meal perfectly. The service was attentive, informative, and so friendly throughout our experience there. I can’t wait to take a trip back and stop by again. 10/10 would recommend to anybody and everybody.

Some of the best Lebanese food I’ve ever had in my life. I had the Kufta I picked hummus and Tabolek as my sides. Incredible food. Everyone working was incredibly friendly and kind. On my way out the owners thanked me and we spoke for a moment. Couldn’t have been nicer people. A must visit for middle eastern cuisine if in Houston. Crazy good food and service.

The tradition of amazing food (and the continued presence of Mama) makes this place one of Houston’s true treasures. I had the privilege to give a video testimonial years ago for the olive oil Abdallah’s sells from its family farm in Lebanon…There is NOTHING like it. If you want the true taste (and experience) of the beauty of Lebanon right here in Houston, Abdallah’s Cafe is the only place to go.

The food quality and value here are overall great though, as with most places, some dishes stand out more than others depending on what you order. What I love: 1. Their meat is Halal (which is a big plus!). 2. The grill items are moist, flavorful, and delicious. 3. I personally enjoy most of their mazzas. 4. I haven’t tried the cheese and spinach pie yet, but they look tempting. Will update my review once I do. 5. Always check their dish of the day, it’s usually a home cooked Lebanese food. 6. You can buy some of their frozen specialties (like kebbah and shesh barak) to cook at home. 7. The atmosphere is lovely, and the owners are warm and kind. Things that could be improved: 1. A more creative kids’ menu. We got the rice and Shawarma for my daughter but it was a bit too dry. 2. Staff could be more familiar with the menu and kitchen availability to better guide customers. Overall would recommend this place for middle eastern/ Lebanese food in the area.

Love this place. Been going here since they were in the Hillcroft area. They have the best wraps in the Heights area BY FAR. Love the guy who's often behind the counter, not sure if he's the owner or not, though. My go-to's are the beef shawarma wrap and kafta wrap. They're amazing. The chicken shawarma wrap isn't my favorite, but my girl likes it. I also like the spinach pie and kibbeh. Sorry if my pictures are terrible haha

Our entire family went to Abdallah's bakery. This was our first time visiting this location. We had previously been to the old location multiple times. The food was great- fresh, made to order. We tried chicken shawarma wrap, beef shawarma wrap, kofta wrap, grape leaves, a kids meal, fried and labnah. Everything was delicious. They make their own bread and bring it out fresh from the oven, which is amazing.

We’re visiting from Dallas, and Abdallahs Lebanese Café was absolutely worth the stop! The food was fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The falafel was crispy, the hummus was smooth and rich in olive oil , and the bread was perfectly warm straight from the oven — everything tasted homemade. The service was welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere made us feel right at home. If you’re in Houston, this place is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

MADE ME CRY 😭 There is truly so much love poured into their food. I spent four years of my twenties waitressing at a small family Lebanese restaurant and this is the first time in 10 years across many cities that I have found an establishment that has the soul I search for every time I try a new Mediterranean spot. All of the baked foods are actually better than any I've ever had. The tabbouleh is exactly EXACTLY how like it. We ordered tons and there wasn't even one thing I didn't love. I wish I could move to Houston to eat here. The girl working the register was super kind, sharp, helpful, patient, and beautiful. The food we added to the takeout order last second came out so quick. The facility is clean and attractive. Their prices were so reasonable and they had the perfect amount of selection diversity. I could write a few more pages about this experience but wow, thank you Abdallah's for a very nostalgic yet super fresh nourishing soul-sustaining experience. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌍

I have been eating at Abdallah's for 25 years. I used to frequent their old place back on Westpark. This place remains absolutely fantastic. I no longer live in Houston but when I come back I never miss a chance to stop at Abdallah's. Fresh food. Great service. Friendly faces. This place is a Houston legend. Highly recommend!

We visited Abdallah’s at their new location for the first time on Saturday April 19th, 2025 . We were a group of six—four adults and two kids—and we ordered quite a bit to share. The atmosphere was welcoming and the space looks nice. Service was friendly and welcoming . As for the food, we enjoyed most of what we ordered. I had the kibbeh nayyeh, which was their daily special, and it was definitely the highlight for me—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. However, I wasn’t a fan of the falafel, and the sweets were okay—not bad, but nothing that will order again.

Chicken shawarma 2/10, it’s nothing like shawarma French fries 10/10 good and crispy. Falafel 6/10 the falafel pieces are so thick so they are well done from the outside and still raw from the inside, maybe they need to make them smaller. Halloumi wrap 10/10 very good. Spinach pie 10/10 very good Cheese pie 10/10 very tasty Rice pudding 7/10 too much rose water added, I could feel a bitter taste because of this. Less rose water is recommended. Bird’s nest 5/10 it tastes old and the pistachio is not fresh, it should be roasted before adding to the Kunafa. Coconut macaroons 10/10 very good Sujuk meat 10/10 it is awesome Mohamara 8/10 very tasty but liquidy.

Cool place, good service but average food. Ordered a few different things, hummus was great, flat bread was awesome, rice with lentils was good, however chicken kebobs were a mess. Seemed like they took the kebobs off the freezer and threw it on the grill right away. Flavorfully done but the chicken was not fully cooked on the inside. It was pink inside and you can taste the blood. Please be mindful of that in the future.

The first time I bought grape leaves here, they were handmade but stuffed with beef which is good but I personally don’t like. Today, I asked twice if these were vegetarian & handmade and not canned, and they assured me they were. Unfortunately, they look and taste exactly like canned grape leaves. Very disappointed to have paid $21 for what seems like the same canned grape leaves I could get at the grocery store for $6. Smh.

I LOVE Middle Eastern food and consider myself a connoisseur. I've been partaking in the enjoyment of all types of Middle Eastern foods for well over 30 years. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert, I've had it all. I REALLY wanted to love this place, as we have Jordanian, Egyptian, Lebanese and Palestinian folks in the family. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment for me. I understand if perhaps they want to cater to a more "Americanized" clientele. However, I think even most Caucasian people want some flavor and taste to their food. This wasn't a just add salt and pepper issue. With that being said, I found all of their food (that I tasted and ordered) to be very bland, lacking in spice and flavor. I was pretty bummed by the portion size for my to go order in comparison to the price. Yes, I do feel it is quite over priced for what you get. However, I'm specifically comparing their prices and portion sizes to other places I frequent: Aladdin (near 610 and Ella) and my personal favorite Fadis on I-10 close to beltway 8. I've been going to Fadis since they had their old location on Westheimer close to Dunvale over 30 yrs ago. It's no longer there and hasn't been for years. I've been to Dimasis, Kesra and of course frequent Phoenecia. I've been around for a long time and know the Houston Middle Eastern food scene well. Nevertheless my issues with what I ordered today were the following: the beef shawarma was very tough and not tender at all, it was not juicy or flavorful and was over all pretty bland, the chicken kabob was not super tender either but had a little juicyiness to it (not much), but it too was quite bland in flavor and in spice. The fried cauliflower was oily and not really fried and some peices were more al dente, while others were soggy and some were cooked ok. Again, there was no seasoning or flavor to the cauliflower. The babagonoush was actually a bit tart and overly lemony, but it was missing something tahini, salt, something. The only combo with meat I saw on their menu was what I ordered. 2 meats and 2 sides for $24 plus tax. They charge $2 extra for the beef shawarma (don't order the beef it was super tough and lacked flavor). I also ordered pickles, and 2 extra garlic sauces. Oddly enough both Garlic sauces were very watery. I've never seen that before. My total was $33 and change for everything mentioned above. Again, in my opinion the portion size is small for what you get and my cauliflower portion could have easily fit another 2 to 3 pieces if not more. Maybe their portions are larger when you order to eat there? Maybe today was an off day or they have a new cook? Either way, I'd highly advise to visit some other places like Aladdin and Fadis first before coming here. You will definitely notice a big difference in the price, portion size and most importantly the taste, even if you get your food to go from the aforementioned places. We all have off days maybe this was one of theirs. Nothing is wrong with trying other competitor's food, this way you can see, smell and taste the difference. Maybe you might not like it, but maybe you might actually be surprised and really enjoy it. Happy eating!
