Bori offered an experience that took me back to the courteous service encountered in Asia. Our servers Matt and Tony were great at their attentiveness as well as their culinary skills. The meats were cooked to our order and were tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed the unique small plates which appeared to stand out from traditional Korean small plates. Although the strawberry gelato fell short of expectations, the overall dining experience at Bori was highly enjoyable, marrying great value with exquisite service and a delightful environment.

My recent visit to BORI Restaurant was nothing short of exquisite. Touted as Houston's first authentic South Korean inspired steakhouse, they certainly lived up to that claim. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance transported us to a fusion world of elegance and cultural richness. Opting for a business lunch, our party of three was treated to the "Premium Beef Cuts", featuring the marinated filet mignon. The dish was a culinary masterpiece, with the flavors melding perfectly and truly encapsulating the essence of Korean taste. A notable mention is the generous portions. Despite our party size, there was more than enough to leave us satiated and contemplating when our next visit would be. For anyone looking for a unique dining experience in Houston, BORI Restaurant should be at the top of the list. It's not just a meal; it's a journey through the vibrant flavors and traditions of South Korea.

One of the better Korean bbq I’ve had. Food is amazing, the condiments are the better ones I’ve tasted. We bought the luxury meat combo and the Server grills and cut every meat for us, which is great and expected for the price point, atmosphere is lively which I like from a Korean bbq. This place has no faults, also there’s an art gallery inside the restaurant.

Amazing!!! A close friend recommended this place and today we decided to check it out. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the beef tartare. The dish was an exquisite blend of flavors, featuring tender, well-seasoned beef that practically melted in my mouth. The restaurant's unique approach to preparing and presenting the tartare truly stood out, making it a must-try for any food enthusiast. Meat combo wich was prepared in front of us was amazing as well, combined with great side dishes. Overall an unforgettable culinary adventure that I can't wait to repeat.

Second time here. Love it for Korean BBQ. This restaurant marks itself as a korean inspired steakhouse. So the decorations is quite good with a sense of vintage and elegance. The bar section and music offers a good combination of western and Korean style. Different from other Korean BBQ restaurant, here the menu is simple. For the 1st time here, I ordered these as shown in the pictures. The prices are a little bit high but worth the atmosphere. I have to say the beef is really good and some of the side dishes are different from other restaurant. I recommend everything I ordered. I guess both Asian and westerners will love this place.

Great experience here! They are very fast! I really enjoyed the experience. Keep in mind that the waiter will cook the meat at the table for you, so you don't have to cook your own food!!! We tried a little bit of almost everything and everything was quite flavorful and delicious.

07/05/2021 We made Rsvp for 10 at for 6pm. Took some family from Oklahoma and they were impressed. My mom left her glasses there. They held it for us and even gave call and reminder to pick it up. Thanks again. 06/20/2021 BORI! This place is my #1 choice for my Korean BBQ fix. Awesome service! Great selection of high quality meats and fresh salad dishes. My wife also enjoys the art gallery and the garden scenery outside. Can't wait to come back!

A buddy took me to Bori for lunch and I must say, wow! The entrance to the parking area was a bit confusing following Google maps. It took me in from the exit, oh well. The place inside has an art gallery, which I really enjoyed viewing while I waited for the friend. Once we got seated, he placed the order for the BBQ and the side dishes. The environment was clean and the place was busy. The staff basically do the cooking for you and they are very friendly and courteous. The food was amazing and there was no short supply of the sides. Definitely will need to come back and try their other options.

I absolutely love this place. This is one of the best, if not the absolute best, KBBQ spots in Houston Texas. If you told me this place was located in South Korea, I would honestly believe you. The food is extremely authentic and tastes amazing. All the beef was very high quality and the marinated beefs were just right. This place has some of the best ssamjang I have ever tasted ever, I had to bring some home. The side dishes, entrees, and beef, were absolutely phenomenal, I have nothing to say but positive things about it. The only issue I have with this restaurant is that it’s on the pricey side of KBBQ, that means I can’t eat it every single day. If you have a birthday/special occasion, or even just a simple weekend dinner, I recommend this place! This isn’t about the restaurant, but the valet guy seems very ungrateful and cold. Gave him a tip and he didn’t seem too happy with it.

One of Houston’s best Korean BBQ restaurants. It’s a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. 5 star service, 5 star food, and a 5 star time.

Everything we ordered tasted awesome. We loved the entire Korean BBQ experience. The employees were so nice. Best Korean Restaurant in Houston, TX! I will definitely come back here again with friends and family.

The restaurant is beautifully designed. Parking has self park and valet options. Make sure to follow the google maps carefully. I missed the entrance and had to make a long u turn. The stir fried squid from appetizer was really good. It is a bit spicy and the level of spicy cannot be adjusted. Bibimbap was ok. Shrimp and scallop from appetizer was not bad but a bit oily. Overall is a good experience.

BORI was a magical experience that has the bustling ambience, the perfect service and the prime delicacies. We were given unlimited sides and a plethora of service requests for renewal of plates. The vegetables were freshly chopped and the aromatics for wraps was a chefs kiss. Our server was Chris and he was amicable and courteous with a hint of seniority with his demeanour. His elegant touch created the perfectly seared meats and vegetables for us and we never felt like he overreaching. Absolutely a magnificent experience and we felt completely satisfied after dining in this gem to remember.

I have to say this place is awesomeeeee! It was our 5th year anniversary and it was great place to celebrate. We got the butcher’s feast and definitely way too much for two people. They replenish the sides as much as you want and the waiter also cooked for us too. Please go and try this place, and if you get Matthew as your server, you’ll have a good time cause he always checks on you and makes sure you’re having a good time!

Loved all the food. The staff were so nice and accommodating. I recommend the seafood pancake, NY strip steak, and Japchae!

One of the best kbbq in town. Love the layout of the place, it's kind of in its own area. Reservations are recommended as it gets busy during weekend nights. We ordered the octopus carpaccio, shrimp fried rice, and seafood pancake. The octopus carpaccio was served with a salad. It was surprisingly good and went perfectly with the salad. The seafood pancake was every filling and extra crispy, probably one of the best seafood pancake I've had. Highly recommend the Bori cut which consists of the beef belly, choice of short rib/ny/ribeye, and short rib. The large had great portion to serve 2-3 people. I like that the waiter cooked the meat for you otherwise we would probably ruined it. They did a great job cooking the meat just how we like it. Services were very friendly and quick. Overall, we had a great time here and the meat quality was very solid. Would definitely come again in the future to check out the rest of the menu.

There is no place to eat supper alone, so I ran out to drink some wine and eat some barbecue! Nice place, the taste of the meat varies! Everything is delicious. I have been here a few times. Every time is good, but the waiter is a little weak. It may be because the barbecue is tired all day. I cook on the table for half an hour, and all the side dishes are placed on the table. Even the rice is OK, but there is no tableware, no plates, no paper towels, no water, until the barbecue, I don't remember to serve me 🥢 chopsticks and paper towels! The 45-day dried beef eye meat is delicious! Marinated steak is also good! The A5 Wagyu is a little fragrant and a little greasy! The environment of the restaurant is very good, next door is a gallery with a lot of art, it has been like this for years! The quality of the meat has always been the same, well maintained 👌 Very good place to eat!

My recent visit to a Korean BBQ restaurant left me in culinary ecstasy, and there’s only one way to describe it: OMG, so good! The restaurant, known as KORI , offers an immersive dining experience that’s perfect for food enthusiasts and social gatherings alike. The moment you step in, the tantalizing aroma of grilled meats and Korean spices sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show – the BBQ. KORI offers a delectable selection of marinated meats, from succulent beef bulgogi to flavorful pork belly. The DIY grilling at your table adds an element of fun and interaction to the meal. Each bite is a burst of flavor, and you’ll find yourself craving more with every sizzle. The banchan served alongside the BBQ are a delightful complement. From kimchi to pickled vegetables, these small bites add a wonderful contrast to the rich flavors of the meats. What’s equally impressive is the attentive service. The staff is not only skilled in grilling your meats to perfection but also happy to provide guidance on the menu. They create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. In conclusion, KORI deserves a resounding five-star rating. If you’re a fan of Korean cuisine or just looking for an exciting dining adventure, this place is a must-visit. Prepare to be wowed by the mouthwatering BBQ and the sheer deliciousness of it all. OMG, it’s so good!

Let's start with the art gallery! It makes up for having a nice time while waiting to be seated, or having a few steps of walking after filling up with so much delicious food! The servers grill the food on a well ventilated grill, which means no to minimal smelly clothes when you leave. The meat selection and quality is excellent. The banchan assortment includes a good variety of delicious sides. Spicy shrimp gambas are great for appetizer. The kimchi stew and kimchi fried rice are both very flavorful. Premium beef cuts are great choice for a first time experience. Recommend making a reservation as the place could be packed even on a regular week night. We used OpenTable to easily make ours. Definitely recommend visiting this place as I for sure will many more times in the future.

Delicious. We got a small A B C bbq to split, which was a fine amount of meat, given that we also got a kimchi pancake (which was amazing), the mul naeng myun (so so refreshing!!), and all the banchan. It was delicious! And the servers were very friendly & good cooks. The rice was also surprisingly delicious-- it had barley in it!

On my top 3 go to places! Everything we had was absolutely delicious!! I had the bulgogi stone pot and bf the shrimp fried rice. We also had drinks. Everything was amazing. Service was also great. You can see they work as a team there, everyone on their staff we interacted with, was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and simply great. Place is beautiful outside and inside. Definitely coming back and recommending it to anyone who’ll hear.

A Korean kitchen with an art gallery where you can take beautiful pictures. We ate BBQ made at our table and I loved their starters. It's a restaurant where the meals are shared and it's convenient because you get to taste different meals. Outside they have a beautiful garden with a symbolic status of a heroine lady. Next to it, they have pots for storing fresh products that they use to prepare meals. The restaurant is located in a residential area, a little bit hidden but the place is very nice and chic.

An introduction to Korean BBQ for my friends. Compared to other similar BBQ venues in Houston, this is much nicer, cleaner, and non-smokey . It's definitely more expensive than other restaurants, but everything is of much better quality. The salads are fabulous. The servers/cooks are friendly, efficient and they do a good job.

J
Justin Singer

Nice Korean BBQ place. High end feel compared to other similar spots I've been to. Building interior and exterior decor looks high end. They have high end meat cuts as well... everything from ribs to filet. Cooking grills are new, clean, and efficient. Your water prepares everything for you which is a nice touch (note that this takes 10 - 15 minutes during which time you basically have an extra table guest who is very polite and non intrusive but none the less is right there.) Two suggestions for management. First, don't clean the floors during dining hours. The restaurant smelled of strong detergent. Second, our waiter told us that 100% of food with the exception of non marinated meats and the rice has MSG in it. Many people prefer not to consume MSG anymore due to negative health impacts.

R
Rachel Park

It's a really nice place. The staff were friendly. There was also a gallery in the restaurant. Food is served quickly. The side dishes were served again when I was done. Most of the side dishes were delicious. The staff grilled the meat for me. The meat was also very delicious. I felt sorry for the employee's suffering because the scissors used by the employee did not cut well. Eating SPICY NAENG-MYUN with Marinated Pork is a personal way to eat it, but it was really delicious and I would recommend it.

friend’s birthday and she wanted to try BORI. 5 of us we ordered a seafood pancake and grilled meat combination. we were wondering if that was enough but unexpectedly we all were so full!!! the sides dishes were so delicious and they refilled without asking! excellent services, great food for sure we will come again soon!!!

Great Korean Bbq place in Houston. I don’t go to korean restaurants because as a Korean, most places are a bit overpriced with food that I can cook from home. This place though, I do want to come again for special occasions or when friends visit because first of all the place is pretty nice and new. Food is on point. Although the amount of meat given was a bit small considering the price, it was still good quality and delicious. Also their sides were spot on. The soybean stew was really delicious and the seafood pancake was very crispy. I would order those again. I wish they gave more fresh vegetables and the Korean-style salad. The hotteok ice cream was really good too. The hotteok was crispy and warm. However, portions are small! Please be aware. Our family have small portions and we are not big eaters and we felt like it was a bit small even for us. However I would go back again because the food was good.

I came here with a group for business meeting. The group lead ordered individual dishes to share. I was very satisfied with the service, decor, ambient and food. It's a fancy restaurant for sure. I would be back for the KBBQ experience next time.

The best Korean BBQ in Houston. Everything taste great, even the most humble Bori rice or the corn cheese taste better than other places. The meats were of high quality and the service impeccable.

Came here with a party of six and was very satisfied! The place is clean and beautiful on the outside and aesthetic on the inside. Service was great, a little different than traditional kbbq I believe, as the server will/can cook the meat for you at a desired temperature. We were intent on catching up with each other so didn't mind the meat being cooked while we did so! Our server was quick and service overall was very very good. Not a place that has AYCE, but more upscale in my opinion. Great choices for meat nonetheless and the side dishes are unlimited which we loved! We got a lot of meat and some side stews and pancakes. Everything was so beautiful and delicious. Even with drinks, it was a pretty affordable outing. Will be coming back here maybe in a smaller setting to eat more!

We tried their lunch for the first time and we loved the ambiance and food, so we came back for dinner to try their BBQ. We ordered Premium Beef Cuts combination for our main. Their service was very nice, your server grills your meat at the table. The beef itself was all tender and fresh, but for us, we prefer to eat with some sauce rather than just sesame oil+salt. So what we enjoyed the most was the marinated beef which has a lot more flavors. Next time I might order only marinated beef. They gives you many kinds of small side dishes, we enjoyed most of them. The Japchae was the most delicious appetizer among those we ordered this time. Even it's far from where we live, it worth driving here for the nice ambiance and good BBQ.

Bori is an high quality Korean BBQ attached next to an art gallery. Out of many places I’ve been to this one is definitely the fanciest. Every dish was packed with quality Korean flavors and presented very well. While you are here go straight for the top tier meat choices, don’t be scared. The staff is professional and clean cut, they do a damn good job preparing the food for you to enjoy. My only regret is eating so much that I did not have room for dessert, which I hear is amazing. Highly recommend for larger groups/ birthday parties, you can order more food and share it with everyone. It’s the best method for tasting all the flavors. They also have smaller tables in the front area for groups of 4 and smaller. Can’t wait to go back and try some more dishes. Enjoy Houston!

This was my 1st time trying Korean food and I fell in love with it! I got Yookejang, Kimchi Dumplings and Bulgogi & I loved everything I ate! Who knew Korean food was so comforting?! I got my food to go, service was fast and they were so cool. The restaurant is GORGEOUS and I will definitely dine in next time. This will be on my list of regular spots for sure!

I had an awesome experience here. We booked the private room (minimum $400 spend - no deposit to book), and we feasted! The ambience is high end, there’s a gallery, a bar, a garden. The place is tastefully decorated and fits the vibe. Too many good options to mention but the raw crabs they serve here with sweet and sour sauce are out of this world.

S
Stormin Chu

After this experience there aren’t too many more Korean BBQ places that can top this. The sides were cleanly presented and full flavored. Also ordered the certified A5 Kobe beef. It’s like butter, must try.

Bori is the upscale restaurant for Korean BBQ. The quality of fish here is the best. This is my mosy favorite spot for Korean BBQ since the price is so affordable for what you get here. The staff will grill the meat for you so you will always get the best of best. The restaurant is carefully decorated and furnished. Their vibe is just so luxurious and modern. Here is what I always ordered when I go to Bori: 1. Seafood Pancake: 5/5 ⭐️ The best seafood pancake I have ever had. It was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. There was a lot of seafood too. And the sauce was bomb! 2. Sweet & Seasoned Raw Crabs: 4/5 ⭐️ Pretty spicy and I love itttt! I just like soy sauce marinated raw crabs more. Suggest to have it on the menu. 3. Sizzling Spicy Pork: 5/5 ⭐️ This was under “Lunch Specials”: Monday - Friday (11AM - 1:30PM) & Saturday - Sunday (12PM - 3PM). This is so worth your $15 for a lunch meal. So much meat and the hot stone makes your rice crispy. Just like a bibimbap. 4. Bori Beef Cuts: 5/5 ⭐️ I got Beef Belly, Ribeye, and Marinated Boneless Short Rib. There were steamed egg, corn cheese, steamed rice, and the bowl of soup coming with the combo so you will get so full. Their plus point is delicious and various banchan coming with the meat. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall, I love BORI so much 🥰

Bori Korean Restaurant is easily one of the best Korean dining experiences in Houston, rivaled only by top Korean spots in Los Angeles, California. The food is exceptional—from the perfectly grilled meats to the flavorful banchan, every dish is crafted with care and premium ingredients. The service is also very good—attentive, professional, and efficient, which adds to the overall high-end experience. While not cheap, the quality more than justifies the price, making it ideal for special occasions or whenever you want to treat yourself. If you're willing to spend a little more for outstanding Korean food and great service, Bori is highly recommended.

High end Korean BBQ, a place to take your loved one to impress them with a romantic wonderful night. This place was amazing. My wife fell in love. Everyone is very nice and attentive . The meat was so fresh and full of flavor sauce was not needed. My favorite part of the restaurant was the atmosphere and art gallery. This place is definitely on our top 10 for date night.

I've been to several Korean restaurants, and Bori thus far exceeds other places. I love everything about the restaurant from the  decor, ambiance, table setting, staff, and food. We went to this place to celebrate my birthday along with my 5 girlfriends. What set the place apart from other Korean restaurants is that you won't be cooking/grilling your own food. The staff will do it for you and thereby you can have your full attention to eating and enjoying the meal altogether. The place is perfect for a party of 4 to 6 people. I feel that if it's just a couple, the amount of grilled meat and side dishes is a bit too much. Well, it's just me.. at any rate, you can always opt to have leftover boxed to take home. The place is unusually located in somewhat residential areas. But despite the not so visible location, the place is nearly full. Therefore, it is likely that they were repeat customers and / or recommended by friends and family. One of my friends frequent the place and was highly recommended. We're glad we had reservations. The parking area gets filled easily. They offer valet parking as well. Bonus: There's a lovely photo op place (display of jars and a Korean girl statue) at the side of the building.

Probably the best upscale kbbq in houston at the moment. I was impressed with the amount of meat we got and the sides were spectacular. Usually the meat isn't enough for me becasue the sides at kbbq places aren't tasty so I don't get full but not at BORI. I orders the seafood pancake - small. Bulgogi (standalone dish) And i got the beef combo (large) with belly, ribeye, and marinated short rib. The pancake was great, and all the meats were very high quality. This was enough for 3 ppl and had multiple refills of the sides. The corn and egg souffle was some of the best I had and proper sizing for 3 ppl. Usually scallion salad is very bitter to me but we refilled this one twice, props to the chef. We also got 3 soju bottles total was around $270 after tip. Which was fair. I only have one complaint which was I wish they would have explained the sides when they brought it out. But it's a very minor complaint.

K
Kimberly Westerman

Love this place! I’m sad the kimchi dumplings are off the menu, because the steamed ones were so delicious! I tried the new dumplings they had on the menu today and they were also delicious! The beef belly is a must every time I come here along with a bottle of soju or a cocktail!

Jennifer and Abbey took care of us. Really great quality meats. Seafood soup was on point. Son loved it. My mom really enjoyed it. Kevin, the manager, came by to check on us. Also, it was our first time here, I think he could tell. Really great environment. Food is very colorful and very eye appealing. Came from Katy area. Well worth the drive. Well worth the money spent. I will definitely be returning to this location soon.

Bori is an upscale Korean BBQ restaurant. We came with our family of 4 for dinner. It's more fun with more people to try different dishes at Korean BBQ. The restaurant was not that busy on a Monday night. We did have a reservation, but showed up early and was seated right away. The restaurant is clean and well maintained with ventilation above reach table/grill. Our server was great, explained the process since it's our first time there. Made good recommendation, cooked at the table and constantly check back for any request we might have. The food is tasty. We ordered the Bori beef platter which includes beef belly and 2 other choices. We selected rib eye and marinated boneless short ribs. The presentation is wonderful and the meat is cooked to your liking at the table. You also get your usual small plate, rice and 2 sides with you dinner. We also ordered japchae and galbi jjim and both are delicious. Finished our dinner with the Mango ice dessert. The restaurant is on the pricey side, but a great night out with the family and great food. Definitely worth a visit.

One of the best Korean cuisines I've been to. Michelle at the front was very helpful in assisting us with our reservation. Server messed that up a bit and weren't nearly as attentive, almost had to wave him down several times and then the cleaning guy came in to remove the grill tray, spilled juice over the table and floor and pretended like he didn't see it. I've been to this location several times and their service is usually much better than my last visit, that's why I'm still rating it 5 stars.

BORI is an exceptional Korean BBQ destination that goes above and beyond with its attention to detail. This unique spot seamlessly combines a restaurant, bar, and art gallery, creating a one-of-a-kind dining experience. While I’d rate the food quality at four stars, the overall experience—encompassing the stunning atmosphere, thoughtful decor, top-notch service, and artistic beauty—elevates BORI to a full five-star rating. As someone who grew up in Korea and now lives in California, I’ve had the privilege of enjoying Korean cuisine across various countries. BORI stands out as a true gem in Houston, offering an experience that’s as memorable as it is delicious. Whether you’re a Korean food enthusiast or new to this cuisine, BORI is a must-visit!

Came to this restaurant for a dinner midweek. Overall atmosphere is great, feel like little Korea in Houston, from exterior to interior was match up. They have a exhibition gallary inside the restaurant, which I feel very interesting. Our waiter is excellent on recommendation and serving the food, as well as help us out with the grill. Tasty premium beef grilled to medium rare which is a big plus. Would definitely come back and recommend for my followers and friends.

I was delightfully surprised by this experience! Unlike other Korean BBQ places, there was no smoke and no lingering smell on your clothes or hair. High end, modern decor and relaxing atmosphere with several private dining rooms and an art gallery available for private functions. Very large and spacious space. It is possible to have conversations without shouting. Very polite and enthusiastic wait staff who cook the food for you. Food was fresh and delicious! The best Chilean sea bass I have ever had. Would highly recommend!

I’ve tried so many kbbq in Houston and this is my number 1 favorite. The quality of meat is as good as it gets. They have a lot of variety of dishes, side dishes and sauces too like seafood pancake, kimchi soup, corn cheese, japchae and they are all worth trying!! The atmosphere is also beautiful and they have a nice back garden and art gallery to look at while waiting for the food.

BORI Korean BBQ in Spring Branch is a premium dining experience that blends traditional Korean flavors with high-end presentation and atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the setting is elegant yet inviting—perfect for special occasions or group dinners. The meat selection is the star of the show. The presentation is impressive, with an assorted platter of high-quality cuts like marinated short rib, pork jowl, ribeye, and more, each labeled for easy identification. You can tell just by looking at the marbling that you're in for something special. Watching the beef sizzle over the open flame at the grill is part of the experience, and the staff was attentive in helping cook everything to perfection. Highlights included the Japchae, stir-fried glass noodles with vegetables, which had a great balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors, and the seafood pancake, which was crispy on the outside and generously filled. The meal was complemented by a generous spread of banchan (side dishes), sauces, and dipping oils that brought out the best in every bite. BORI isn’t just about the food—it’s the whole experience. With great service, top-tier ingredients, and a sleek modern space, this is one of Houston’s best Korean BBQ spots. Whether you’re a first-timer or a KBBQ regular, BORI sets the bar high.

This is one of the beat Korean restaurant in town. Tucked in a quiet area of spring branch. The restaurant can accommodate different crowds large or small. Some private rooms available. Service is good and server cooks. In house butcher where you can see meat being prepared.. The cuts are good and not precut frozen like some of the other restaurants. Can get busy and recommend reservation friday and sat. There has been times where there was no table available. Able parking within the compound.

Bori is hands down one of the great dinning experiences we’ve had in a while! From the moment we walked in, the service was attentive and welcoming. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between modern and authentic, making it comfortable and enjoyable place for both casual dinners and special occasions. Seafood pancake was outstanding, crispy on the outside, packed with seafood, and perfectly seasoned with their special sauce on the side. The highlight though, was their premium beef cuts. The marbling and tenderness of the meat were exceptional, and every bite melted in our mouths. The staff also grills the meat to perfection right at your table, elevating the entire experience. One thing to note: Bori gets booked up very quickly l, so I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time to secure your spot. It’s well worth the effort!

First place that comes into mind if someone ever asked me must try restaurant in Houston. I’m from Seoul (where kbbq is originated from) so my expectations with kbbq is always high anywhere I go but Bori meets it every time I visit. My whole family loves this place and their food or service never really disappoints. Sure there are some flaws with the food occasionally, but good enough for me to think past it.

I came here with a group of friends to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and everything was just amazing! Everything was top tier starting from their food, the music, and definitely the service. Food: Their meat quality was excellent , their seafood medley was full of flavor, and their dessert selection was splendid (especially the croffle which was a new menu item that we got to try)! Service: Our server did a great job at taking care of our group. He was very attentive and made sure our waters, side dishes, and anything else that we needed was always refilled. It was also very sweet of the staff to sing happy birthday and draw a cute design for our birthday dessert! Will come back for sure and bring others to experience this restaurant!!

It’s been a while since I’ve been here, and everything is just as great as I remembered. You just try seafood pancake. It’s so crunchy and really really good. This place is definitely on the higher end when it comes to Korean BBQ. The meat is so fresh and tender, packed with flavor. My favorites are the pork belly and marinated boneless short ribs – they’re seasoned perfectly. The atmosphere is relaxed and much quieter compared to other Korean BBQ spots, which I really appreciate. Our waitress was good as well. She was friendly and cooked the meat well.

Wonderful restaurant. Food is absolutely delicious. The grill is great, not smelly at all. Nice place for an official lunch or dinner. The art gallery adjoining the restaurant is good touch.

Banchan variety and taste was average, but meats were all excellent, especially the ribeye and filet. Seafood pancake was one of the best versions we've had to date! I wish I remembered the server's name for our private room from Monday, December 8. He was AWESOME and helped us order the perfect amount of food for our party of 8. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you book a private room!

Low key the best Korean restaurant I’ve ever been to! The food is amazing and great selection of different cuts of meat. It’s definitely on the pricer end but worth to try. The atmosphere is quite nice as well, would def recommend.

Very authentic Korean food! It’s one of the cleanest Korean restaurants I’ve been to. The servers were amazing: they will grill all the meat for you at the table. While a table is being set up or you are waiting, you can check out their exhibition hall or backyard.

Más que un restaurante, una experiencia. La preparación, la calidad del producto, el servicio, la decoración y el sabor son excelentes. Me agradó el área de exposición de arte, pinturas muy interesantes

The best Korean BBQ restaurant in Houston. I always order their seafood pancakes. They help you grill the meat, which I really appreciate because I'm always bad at grilling meat.

Bori is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere set the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening. The food was phenomenal—tender, flavorful meats grilled to perfection at our table, paired with fresh banchan and delicious sides that burst with authentic Korean flavors. Every bite was a 10/10 delight. The service was attentive and friendly, making the overall experience seamless and enjoyable. If you're craving top-notch Korean BBQ, Bori is a must-visit—I'll be back soon! Highly recommend.

On the above average price range, but you get fantastic food and service. Parking can be an issue for some, depending on how busy they are, and time of day. If you cook your own meat, great place for dates. If you want them to cook, understand they can hear your intimate conversations. They are very professional about it, through our dirty jokes. Heat wasn't an issue like other korean bbq places where you sweat through your meal. Ventilation was very good. Not a thing to complain about from the menu. Love that it's ssam focused! Food cooked at your table on tip of a cast iron grill heated with charcoal. Hands down the very best seafood pancake I've had. The batter is just enough to hold the pancake together. Reminiscent of the Viet Shrimp Fritters (banh tom). The beef glass noodle dish was fantastic. We had one of the "combos" for the meat selection. We had beef ribeye, filet, and boneless rib. Comes with pineapple, shrooms, onion, and customary side dishes. Side dishes were good, typical cabbage radish, pickle, mashed potatoes, and I was surprised not to see fish cakes. One thing to note is that their flavors are on the delicate side, that is, it complements to showcase the flavors of the meat, instead if overtaking over the dish. If you like dishes where you can't tell the difference between the meats where the sauce is the showcase, then this place might not be for you. I had the choffle, where it's a waffle made of two whole croissants, topped with fruit and 2 scoops of ice cream. It was definitely more than I was expecting and struggled to just finish half. The croffle part was okay but their ice cream was something else wonderful. I'm glad to find a korean bbq place that i can recommend again.

Loved the food and art! We ordered the pork set (small) and had a feast! I thought it wouldn't be enough, but with all the side dishes we were pretty full and didn't have to order extra. The soybean soup could have been better but overall all the banchan side dishes tasted authentic and clean. I enjoyed the small gallery right next to the dining area to walk around and appreciate Asian art. Probably the best Korean restaurant in Houston so far. It was great :)

Atmosphere was great. Service was very good. Overall average food for the Korean restaurants in the area, which are generally good. Lots of food that was very tasty. The meats were also of good quality and tasty. They had someone ensure it was being cooked correctly at the table. The food was traditional. However, there either was not enough table space or the plates were not arranged well. I would suggest using some side table for the meats to help with the room or use a three tiered platter for the tables so there is enough room when 4 or more are at a table, which is usually the case. The area and general arrangement was nice and well done. They definitely invested in the restaurant and the outside areas that will look awesome when finished. Overall nice place to have dinner. A little expensive though.

MY FAVORITE SEAFOOD PANCAKE EVER. It was so crisp and was immaculate with its complimentary sauce. BBQ was kinda burnt, so I didn't really enjoyed the employee's cooking. I would have probably wanted to cook myself. Kimchi Tofu Soup was standard for me, it had a nice tomato kick to it. Steamed egg was one of my favorites as well. In terms of taste, I was content. However the coloring at the bottom of the steamed egg was questionable. Corn cheese was most disappointing. It just tasted like boiled corn sprinkles with cheese. It was not creamy or cheesy. Just corn 🌽 Interior is super cool as there is a art museum. Outside their decorations are pretty spectacular as well. Great place for photos.

Nestled in the heart of Houston's vibrant Korean town, Bori promises an exquisite dining experience that takes Korean barbecue to new heights. During my recent visit, I was charmed not only by the upscale ambiance but also by the impeccable service. The waitstaff at Bori were not just good; they were exceptional. Their attentive and friendly demeanor added a layer of warmth to the already inviting atmosphere. And, I couldn't help but notice, they looked incredibly cute while doing so. Although I didn't have the opportunity to sample their Korean barbecue on this occasion, my appetite was certainly piqued by the tantalizing dishes I observed on neighboring tables. The sizzling meats and tantalizing aromas left no doubt that the barbecue experience here is something to savor on a future visit. For this visit, I opted for the lunch special, and I wasn't disappointed. The flavors in my lunch were delicious and well-balanced, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality even during non-barbecue meals. The interior atmosphere at Bori is, in a word, outstanding. It strikes a perfect balance between modern elegance and the traditional charm of Korea. From the tasteful decor to the soothing ambiance, dining here is a visual and sensory delight. I can't wait to return and indulge in their renowned barbecue offerings.

Upon entering into the restaurant, there is an art gallery. Great little pre-meal activity. Not so much for after because of the amount of food 😅 our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The only criticism I have is that the peppers and onions needed to be cooked a little more. The quality of meat were top notch. I didn't get a picture, but the octopus is a must-have! Very tender and delicate flavors. I wish I had gotten a video after all the food was served. I'm surprised we ate most of it.

One of the best Korean restaurants that I’ve been in the States. The cold noodle was delicious. The restaurant is clean, modern, and price is reasonable, especially for lunch. It does get busy so I recommend making a reservation. Only reason for losing a star was the server didn’t ask us if we would like dessert or that the kitchen will be closed soon. They just handed us a bill at 1:20PM, and when asked if we can have dessert we were just told the kitchen is closed. It would’ve been nice if they had told us earlier.

BORI - Spring Branch: A Unique Korean Steakhouse Experience Housed in a chic space with an art gallery, Bori - Spring Branch offers a contemporary take on Korean cuisine. The restaurant boasts a sophisticated atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion or a night out with friends. The menu features a wide variety of Korean dishes, including Korean BBQ, seafood pancakes, and sushi. The meat is high-quality and cooked to perfection, while the side dishes are flavorful and complement the main dishes well. The service at Bori is attentive and professional. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and is happy to make recommendations. Overall, Bori - Spring Branch is a great dining experience. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is excellent. If you're looking for a unique and upscale Korean restaurant in Houston, Bori is definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful decorations with the artwork gallery on the left side of the front door. The seafood Korean pancakes were excellent! Very tasty and crunchy! The side dishes were great too! Forgot to take the picture of the seafood pancake because we were too excited to eat it. We were there on Friday lunch and they had the Monday to Friday happy hour menu prices which is very reasonable. The waiter Brian was very nice and he helped us out on the bbq grill and we were really enjoyed our lunch with our family. We will definitely go back next time.

Great quality of meat! Free little plates appetizer is Korean tradition. But the menu is more open to everyone. A little sad they don't have beef tongue🥲. Like their service! Atmosphere is good.

Had the lunch special. Portions were more than sufficient since we also ordered the seafood pancake. The pancake was very crispy with lots of ingredients. Sides were replenished upon request. Atmosphere was very nice (patio area) and smokeless since the tables didn't have the bbq stoves. This option is best if you don't want your clothes to smell. We ordered the sizzling spicy pork and spicy pork stone pot. The stone pot version had all the ingredients in one pot with the rice underneath and an egg on top. The sizzling version had the sides and rice separated into individual bowls. The only thing "missing" was kimchi which I found it strange being a Korean restaurant. Overall, ambiance was beautiful, service was great, taste of food and portions were very good. Would definitely go back again. We ordered two lunch specials and a large seafood pancake, and the bill was about 50 since pancake price was during happy hour.

Love the restaurant design. The food was good. Our server forgot to place one of our orders at the beginning then another server came to place the order and take that dish out of our check.

We tried this Korean barbecue restaurant using a gift card from a friend, and overall we enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is nice, with attractive décor and several seating options, including private dining rooms, bar seating, couch-style seating with small tables, and traditional booths for cooking at the table. It’s a bit loud, parking is limited, and the vibe feels best suited for adults—great for drinks, appetizers, or a night out with friends after work. We sat in a booth and did the full Korean BBQ experience, cooking our food at the table. The food itself was good, and we enjoyed trying a variety of items, including soup, kimchi, and different proteins. However, service was the biggest area for improvement. The menu can be a bit confusing, and while we asked several questions, our server was often absent and didn’t check in frequently. There were multiple times we were out of water or drinks and had to flag someone down, which was frustrating given the price point. When our server did stop by, he seemed rushed—not unfriendly, but not particularly engaged or willing to spend time explaining the menu or enhancing the experience. We also had to ask for additional sauces rather than having options explained to us, which would have been helpful, especially for first-time diners paying for the full BBQ experience. One additional note: there are no kid-specific menu options, and the restaurant doesn’t feel particularly family-oriented. While that’s not necessarily a negative, it’s worth noting for guests with children. This spot definitely feels more geared toward adults, date nights, or groups of friends. Overall, the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, but more attentive and educational service would greatly elevate the experience. We’d return again—most likely without children and for a more relaxed adult evening.

The best thing about this place was their side salad - it was so amazing (I never say this about salads). It was so good that we kept eating it... we liked it better than the bbq LOL. The rest of the banchan was plain and underseasoned and I wished they offered bone-in kalbi since the bone part is my favorite. Their seafood pancake was thick and crispy but you couldn't taste any of the seafood in it likely due to the thickness. The sauce for the pancake, the salad sauce, and the bbq meat sauce were all amazing, whoever does the sauces is a sauce genius. Decor was gorgeous, nice, spacious upscale vibe. Our server was friendly and helped us cook the meats. Will come back again just for the salad lol!

Pretty good if you are doing korean BBQ on the grill. But just each menu items can be too pricey for its quality. Looks good though. Don't recommend what I got, marinated beef hot stone dish. Not enough meat, doesn't have much flavor.

Service was slow. The place was barren and with echo. I did not particularly enjoy my meal it was bland. The price was fine. Not the type of meal I had expected. The whole experience was OK, but not one I would repeat.

I am no stranger to KBBQ restaurants, and this one was interesting. It is an al la carte, not all you can eat. The exterior had some cool decorations and they have a mini art museum you can peruse once you’re done. I went with my friends, 3 of us, and we ordered the $200 (around this) platter. We ordered 3 soups, assuming a combo would include one for each of us. The meat was very high quality and savory, however you didn’t get that much. The sides weren’t bad but I’ve had better (personally). At the end, they charged us for 2 extra bowls of soup, which was not previously disclosed or we wouldn’t have ordered them. And I can confidently say, this was the first time I ever left KBBQ still feeling hungry. For the price, the amount did not justify the price.

Let me just say the atmosphere is great. The service was awful. It took us over an hour to get our food and we ordered immediately as we were sat. When asked the manager said the kitchen did not see our ticket. okay. I'm really disappointed since the place was on my try list for a while. At this price point I expected way better service.

S
Shannon Oliver

I was so disappointed. The meat was fatty and bland. Our waitress didn’t like us from the second we sat down and ignored our table for the majority of the night. We were there for two hours and 15 minutes and should have been done in 1/2 that time. She would tell us one thing and then do something completely different. I was really looking forward to trying this place and considering it was well over $200, I definitely expected better food and service. The meat was so fatty, I could not eat most of it and ended up spitting two bites out into my napkin because it was inedible.

K
Kenny Law

Someone will park your car. The front desk ladies are very not welcoming. They look like young club ladies. No greeting and they stare at you like you can't afford to eat here. The service is okay. They cook the food perfectly. I believe the owner had to help out and took turn cooking our food. The meat had no seasoning... So not much flavor. The meat that were marinated was okay. Still not sure how some of the review say it taste good here. The side dishes were small portions. So the staff had to keep bringing them in. Why not just give a big portion so you don't have to keep coming back.

E
Emma T

Severely understaffed and a really disappointing experience. Our server left the meat and vegetables on the grill unattended, and everything ended up burnt. We waited a long time for help and it felt like no one was able to manage the tables properly. I understand restaurants get busy, but serving burnt food isn’t acceptable. I won’t be returning.

T
Trev xx

This was honestly the worst Korean BBQ experience I’ve ever had. While helping us grill, the server dropped the meat on the table and impatiently tossed it back near the grill. I understand the grill is hot, but could you at least handle it a bit more carefully? My water was empty for over 10 minutes and nobody refilled it. I also mentioned in the reservation that it was my girlfriend’s birthday, but there was zero effort or attention from the staff the entire time. One of the servers was even on their phone right next to our table. I get that people need breaks, but please don’t do that in front of customers. If the restaurant closes at 1:30, don’t accept a 12:45 reservation. But if you do, at least provide service that matches the $100 per person price. We spent over $200, and it was absolutely not worth it.
