We ordered a bacon single patty burger with all the toppings, definitelycan tell it was handmade. I split this with my 7 yr old and we were full off of half each. A black bean burger, which was amazing, per my husband. A side of onion rings, which are the best I've had in a long time, again amazing. Also, we shared chili cheese loaded fries, and that was great. Our toddler loved everything, especially the burgers and onion rings. Plenty of condiments. All fountain drinks are refill as much as you want. Lady at the counter was awesome, she had a Sisco order delivered and apologized for being late to take the order but it was less than 5 min wait. Overall 15/10 would definitely return. We had leftovers and can't wait to bring our other kiddos back!! So glad we got to experience this place and absolutely love the location since it is between 2 freeways. It was $44 for everything. Then we added a tip.

Okay! For the Fries.... The food was fresh down to the lettuce ( crispy and unwhilted). Only draw back was I wanted sweet tea and there was none made. And the bottled ones I wasn't familiar with. The price was fair and service fit the bill. Good job Bubba.
Stopped in for the first time after driving by it multiple times and stating to my fiancée that we should try it out. All I have to say is that I'm so glad we did. Even though the burger wasn't expensive, it was still the best I've had. The workers were very helpful, and I appreciated the low key atmosphere. Although there weren't any games playing at the time, they have multiple big screen tvs that would be great for a college or professional football game. I really appreciated that they have the options of both beef hamburgers and bison meat burgers. I will absolutely be stopping by sometime soon as I really would love to try some of the other things on the menu. Thank you so much for the great experience, y'all. I can understand why y'all have been in business for over 40 years. Much love.
Went here for lunch with my coworker. Staff was friendly and food came out fairly quickly though it wasn't very busy at the time. Food was delicious and fresh we both got the Houston burger and it cost about 30 dollars for the two of us to get 2 burgers and two orders of fries. Edit: As we were leaving the staff flagged down a homeless man pushing a cart down the road and asked if he was hungry. A few minutes later he was walking away with a burger and it was very heart-warming to see that.

I was really in a mood for a burger and find this gem place hidden under a highway in Houston. It very small inside while ordering but plenty of outdoor seating. It's a very nice rustic place that has been eaten up the city. I order the patty melt and this was easy one of the best patty melt I have had. It was so cheesy and the meat was juicy. The onion rings are always great the way they should be made. If your in the area this is a must stop place for lunch or dinner.

My son and I ate at Bubba’s Saturday evening. I ordered online and when we got there, we were told they were temporarily closing for 45 minutes to restock. It was 7:20 PM! Who does that?!?! BUT…the burger was tasty. The onion rings were crispy and delicious, but appear to be frozen. The French Fries were really good, but my son didn’t really like the grilled cheese. I also got the Chili. If the burger business ever falters, Bubba’s could rebrand as the “Best Little Chili House in Texas” and print money! So good!
Delicious! My burger, the Houston Burger was amazing, I ordered everything on it, and it was awesome. Messy, but oh so good!! I loved everything about it, loved the fries that were super crispy and seasoned well, they didn’t lose their crunch as time passed… the patty was well seasoned and cooked well. Hubby got the Patty melt and then he tried mine and said mine was better because of the bbq sauce and bacon. Overall great, and I would definitely come again.
Honestly I didn’t even notice this location every time I drove by, but once I was recommended to eat here I was completely shocked that a restaurant was under my nose!! For the border burger accompanied with the chili cheese fries. As well as a cokes The border burger was very filling, I opted for the bison meat which came out tasty and juicy, it was a great blend of ingredients and I enjoyed each bite. Chili cheese fries had a surprising kick! They were very delicious with each bite making my mouth water for more. Location is mainly outdoor seating but I felt very comfortable eating and enjoyed the good weather during the time. The staff are very friendly and welcoming as well! Will definitely come back to eat.
My first time trying a burger shack place. I really liked the unique location, good ambiance. The burgers were so good. The fries were too!! What I would say is a lot of burger places are good because of the extras put on the burger, but with Bubba's the burger patty is the star. It was juicy and just delicious. Went there to try a frito pie as it seemed to be a Texas thing. I ordered burgers and one frito pie. Got two burgers and a frito burger instead of pie. I kept it and made the best of it as it was what I was charged for. Easy mistake. Food came up in a decent time for freshly cooked food. Burgers were good, staff was friendly.

We had 1 beef and 1 bison burger and fries. The burgers were good, well seasoned but not exactly to die for. I will say, tho, that unless you are feeling significantly carnivorous a single will suffice. Fries were served hot and crispy. I found it a little pricey but the staff was very nice and welcoming. Overall it was a good experience but I'm not sure that I'll specifically carve the time out for a return on my next visit to Houston.

I probably would have never stopped at this place by the location and the look of it. It’s a small, older building located under the freeway. The great reviews made me find it. They only had bison burgers the day we visited. These were very good(not the normal frozen patties) and had the best fries! The only seating they have is large picnic tables outside under the porch. They should add smaller tables.
The bison burgers were ok. A bit dry and not seasoned well. If I go back I will try the regular burger meat. Maybe that will taste better. But there are way too many burgers joints in Houston for me to rush back here. It’s got the “classic dive” experience. Dirty tables and a bathroom that would make you want to pee outside in the bushes instead of. The employee taking my order was polite and the catered to my specific requests.
This place is different from other burger joints. We had one hamburger, two bison burgers, and one BLT. The BLT is my most favorite. The bison burgers were a little chewy and dry. We like sitting out in the patio with no trees but a parking lot of cars. This is a wakeup call of reality that many of us live in suburbs with tree-lined boulevards, green trails, walking paths, lake view, golf course view … so sorry for those struggling to live in war zones.

Homemade Chili was amazing! Chili fries were great! Burgers...... Not so much. Took a huge bite of what looked like an amazing burger and something was off. Took another and my mouth was filled with some great textures and flavors, yet something was still....... Not great. Tasted the burger patty by itself and there it was. Their patties seem pre made, straight from the freezer, saving some money kind of flavor. None, the patty was flavourless. The rest of it was really good. My Son had noticed the same flavor sensation with his burger. Everything but the burgers were top notch though.

Went here for the first time today and had a somewhat mixed review. I'll try to keep it short and concise as well as fair: Ordered the Mushroom Cheese and Onion burger and made it a double. I typically like to have something extra on the side as well so I also ordered the Frito Pie. The good: The burger was amazing in taste as well as the quality of the meat, bread, mushrooms and onions. Fries were perfectly seasons and crispy. Soda was strong/sweet and didn't have a cleaning chemicals after taste. The bad: The Frito Pie was almost $8 and it was a very small serving of chips with an even smaller portion of chili. For the amount you get, it probably would cost you like $1-2 to make on your own so huge rip off. Everything is a la carte so there are no combos. Have to order the drink separately as well as the fries separately. With all that plus the Frito Pie, my total was over $30! That's friggin' ridiculous. Even if I cancelled the Frito Pie, it's still $22 for the burger, fries and drink (again, ridiculous). I have pretty wide ranging tastes and will enjoy myself at a fast food place just as much as a steakhouse with $100 per head costs. With that being said, I always enjoy myself when I go to Wendy's and if I get the same amount of food, it will be 50% cheaper (Dave's Double or Triple combo plus an order of 6 piece chicken nuggets for example). I would come here more often if their prices made more sense.
The over large black woman working the register was one of the least friendly and least helpful employees I’ve come across at a restaurant. It was as if she was angry any customer was there to order. Aside from that it was hard to find and dangerous to enter and exit the lot. Yes the food was good. Unfortunately it was not good enough to justify the drive and the outside dining in Houston heat.
