HIDDEN GEM! THIS FOOD IS SO DELICIOUS I COULD ONLY EAT SO MUCH BUT I WILL DEF. COME BACK.. I tried 6 different items. This place is not only clean but the service was excellent!! I had the Mariscado AKA Seafood Soup ( it has endless seafood), homemade tortillas, rice, fajita taco, the drinks are Coffee, and Ensalada de fruta. a cashew drink with cut up fresh fruit. omg

This place is absolutely unbeatable. Prices are outstanding. I fully recommend Cafe Latino. The pupusas are unbeatable, but my favorite is the pan con pollo- the flavor balance of fresh veggies, seasoned, tender chicken, and crispy, yet soft bread makes it my top craving any day of the week. We only experienced long wait times once (we didn’t order our to go food ahead) and even with that- it was more than worth the wait. The people working here are always pleasant, sweet, and helpful. Please try Cafe Latino- you won’t be sorry.

We have coming here for years. The food is authentic central American food. It is a small food joint with cheap prices. It us clean and the food is good. They also have a large pastry section. Spanish herb cures and other odds and ends. The server was very helpful and polite. I also balance what I am getting with the cost. It is a 5 star place. There is a bit of a delay in getting your food, but that is expected. It is a popular place

Great ambiance, great food, feels like home! Wonderful family oriented service. The food is authentic. Definitely my go to spot for a great menudo and pupusas. Oh did I️ mention their freshly made baked good are delicious?! Come on a day when you have time to enjoy the ambiance. Food is freshly made so it takes a little bit longer than usual to serve. But when you get the food, it sooooo worth the wait.

To be FAIR, I didn't order, my mom did. And all she ordered was pupusas. Fajita and chicken. They were both delicious. A bit on the greasy side but cheese is like that. 😩 I think had it been a little more meat than cheese maybe less greasy? IDK. But, overall still delicious. Salsas were but really good too! It was a Wednesday evening closer to 8pm, lightly busy, but even walking in and ordering, it was less than 20 minutes to go.

The food here is so good!!! Especially the pupusas! El pan dulce is good too, but better when fresh.

A hidden gem in Jersey Village that doesn’t look like much in the outside, but boasts affordable, fresh and tasty food! Today was my second time dining here and both times have enjoyed my meal. Today I had the lunch combo of fajita tacos, ref beans & rice and everything was tasty and fresh. The plate was such a large portion, that I wasn’t able to finish it all. Service is warm and friendly!

Love this hole in the wall restaurant. I have walked past this place so many times before & didn't know it was a restaurant. I'm a Mexican from Eas Los, California and really enjoyed the Salvadorian food here. I ordered the combination plate that consisted of 1 Chicken Enchilada with red sauce, 1 chicken flauta, & 1 beef fajita taco served with rice & refried black beans. They don't skimp on the fillings like most restaurants do these days. They serve you plenty of food. My plate cost $8.99. Well worth it.. Every table was taken when I entered the taqueria. I had to wait approximately 10 minutes for an available table. You order your food at the counter. They serve you at your table & pay after you have eaten. They also have a good sized bakery selection that is reasonably priced. I highly recommend this Taqueria.

Pupusa's were amazing made fresh when ordered and served HOT delicious, service was not that great the waiter was not attentive and had an attitude which is not cool for 1st timers there is a section as soon as you walk in of fresh baked sweet bread (pan dulce) which was also great

I REALLY enjoy this place as my go to for pupusas in Cypress. The pan (pastries) is delicious as well! The food is VERY affordable with 2 big meals and a bag full of pastries, under $30 for dinner. The staff is wonderful and always courteous!

This place is meager. The owner won't sell to you if you are holding an "outside food or drink."" Crazy how that works, considering we were ordering to go. The restaurant is kinda dark. They took about 20mins to prepare 5 pupusas, which is okay. The problem arose when I went to eat mine. The pupusa had little chicken bones in it and cartilage. I have reviewed and been to over 10 highly rated salvadorian & hondourian restaurants, and never was I served bones inside a pupusa. The fajita pupusa, which is different, had some gummy like meat in it as well. As someone who literally goes to places to buy pupusas just to review them. I would say they sell a little better than average pupusa, but the bones and the weird policies make this place less desirable.

Pupusas aren't bad, but to me they were tasteless. De loroco y queso were okay, but revueltas were bad. Atole de elote wasn't good either. But they are nice and have a panaderia inside. The tamales de pollo were good.

Hi, I’m really disappointed with what happened today. My husband and I arrived and were waiting to get seated, but two customers walked in and sat at the table we were waiting for, and no one from the staff said or did anything. There was also a family waiting to have two tables put together, but instead they decided to sit at a table and take up space, then later combine tables, when other people could’ve been seated in the meantime. The restaurant was full and people were clearly waiting their turn, so it felt really unfair and disrespectful. We ended up having to wait even longer because someone took our table, and we didn’t even receive an apology. Not to mention, when you walk into the restaurant, no one even greets you. Overall the customer service was very disappointing and this experience left a bad impression. I didn’t order my appetite went away. I usually come here because my husband likes it . I just sat and waited for my husband to eat .

I went at 7AM,got a fito breakfast, chicken tamal, pupusas and plantain empanadas. They didn't added any avocado or cheese to my fito breakfast, The meat smelled like fish and old , I wasn't able to eat it because was super hard . The tamal didn't taste good , the pupusas was more like a tortilla with a little bit of cheese. Not a good experience even though it was early in the morning and it supposed to be everything fresh. Not sure about the good reviews.
