Heard the pizza was good and it sure was! Friendly service, fast service. The place has a small mom and pop feel, which translates to the taste. We ordered the Chicken Caesar salad with garlic bread. The garlic bread; it was toasty and very tasty definitely recommend. We went with a pepperoni pizza as our entree and it was delicious. Cheese is placed on top of the topping and it’s just somehow makes sense. Great place, definitely will be back to try more of their items!
The service was great. The music choice is nice mix, nothing wild, more nostalgic choices. I’m very picky about the taste of my water and their water was great. We had the Mona Lisa A La Lisa 20”. Every ingredient was juicy, toasty and crisp. Mmm the crust was chefs kiss perfect. My husband had the cheesesteak panini, a little disappointed that they were not pressed but still tasty all the same. The other reason I didn’t give the restaurant a perfect 5 star because of the absence of the panini press and the dining tables are small for a party of 4. They are better suited for two people especially if you order the 20” pizza and an entree, it’s a bit tight. Otherwise we will visit again when we are inner city because the pizza is worth it.
Great authentic Italian restaurant that has BYOB. Corkage fee is very small. They also sell wine and beer here. They have great pizzas and pastas. The Cesar Salad was great along with the Fettuccine with chicken was very good as well.Parking is minimal so plan on waiting for a spot to open up if you show up during dinner rush. We went on a Thursday night and the restaurant was about halfway full. Recommend this place if you're looking for a laid back authentic Italian restaurant.
👉🏻This is an absolute gem! The food was great; although my husband couldn't try the fried calamari because the fried was broken. There bread was amazing & they had the best lasagna I've tasted in a long time! 😋
Frosted beer mugs - what more can you ask for!? Fantastic service. Forgot his name but server with mustache and hat was awesome. Also, who can resist a restaurant with Gingham tableclouds – not me! Great food and service. Highly recommend.
Good food great service! The place was clean and the food came out pretty fast, and there were not alot of people there wich is kind of sad because the food is great. Would recommend
This place is a great neighborhood pizzeria. BYOB for who enjoy that little perk. Besides that cute little ambiance with the red checkered table cloths. The garlic focaccia is a must. They do half and half’s. I did half margarita def my favorite have Greco. Overall great prices and variety. Will be back to the the pastas.
Flavor marries old time charm and that’s Collina’s! The starter salad with tomatoes and onions had plenty of fresh basil and very good dressing. The rustic pizza was marvelous. Just looking around the dining room thee were plenty of happy diners. Great value too.
Wonderful atmosphere and service. Very relaxed setting. Complimentary garlic bread and olive oil. The Mona Lisa A' La Lisa pizza was absolutely delicious and filling. A 12" was perfect for two people. Definitely coming back here for lunch soon. And they have Peroni beer, which is a plus as most places don't have Italian beer!! 👀
I have visited this place a few times. My meet and I met here to felllowship with one another. We hadn't seen each other in awhile. The pizza and chicken alfredo is very delicious. I love that it is BYOB. You just pay for glasses and cork unscrew. Will visit this location again.
The food was pretty pretty good! It felt real authentic. Get the Tiramisu!!
Just what I was looking for. A small bit commercial Italian restaurant, plates are huge that I share it with someone. Will recommend and great prices
Food was really good here. Table is just too small for 4 people.
The food was delicious! That’s what my wife would say but I had a great experience! Love that you can see the kitchen and food being made while friendly and kind hospitality. Food was made fresh and quick serves. The pizza was very crispy and my divalo pasta was amazing! My wife was looking at the selective wine but she’s pregnant so we’ll be back for that soon! And for home made Rootbeer flout! We had an amazing experience.
Wonderful Italian food. Interesting tasty desserts. Food is fresh with generous portions and good prices. Staff is top notch. There is also a party room. We always enjoy eating here and since they closed our usual location, we now drive to this one to get our Collinas fix. They also offer bring your own wine and charge an uncorking fee at a reasonable rate. We've used this service. They will bring an ice bucket to chill your wine at the table. There are also dessert shops and a wonderful spice shop in the same strip center as the restaurant. Nice area, great place to eat a diverse wonderful Italian meal.
Fantastic place! Staff are always attentive and cooks are top notch! It's BYOB for wine, but they offer a corking service if you forget your opener.
I was so skeptical at first. The menu looks good but Ive been disappointed with the Olive Gardens of the area. I played it safe & got ravioli. When it came out the sauce was orange & I was like “nope, not gonna work”. But WOW! 🤩 It’s so good! I was totally shocked at how much I liked it and will 100% come here again! The atmosphere is inviting, friendly and the staff is very helpful. They genuinely look happy to see you. It’s nice to finally find a great Italian food restaurant to enjoy a meal.
AMAZING AND VERY VERY DELICIOUS PIZZA BEING MADE HERE!!! Swung by today for the first time and I must say it was amazing. I'm not gonna speak or elaborate about the service my wife and I received from the Hispanic lady just because I don't want to spoil this review but I will say our service could have been alot better...but neways..you guys got to swing on by and try there pizzas. First off that garlic bread, omg... it's fire. It has that right amount of garlic and butter and it's toasted just right with that perfect crunch. The side salad that is served with the pizza is also delicious. It's very fresh the lettuce is very crisp along with purple onion and the tomatoes are also very fresh not soggy at all. I saved the best for last. The pizzas that are being made here are extremely delicious. Let me tell you, that crust on that 8in is made so perfect and it has such a beautiful crunch and the sauce is just made so perfect. The sauce is not tangy nor overpowering and they spread just the right amount on the pizza that your taste buds are rejoicing in so much joy because it's so good and the toppings are very fresh I mean fresh. I loved this place when you pick up that beautiful slice of pizza and that cheese stretches a mile long your mind gets blown away. All I can say is that I place this place #1 on my top 5 pizza parlors. Watch out Star Pizza you got some serious and I mean serious competition. I highly recommend this place. Very elegant very clean the food is delicious plenty of parking great prices and a pretty good selection of food. 2 8in pizzas garlic bread 2 salads 1 water 1 sweet tea it came out to like $35-$40 with tip. I promise it's worth every penny. Thank you Collinas for making us some very delicious food and we look forward in returning soon.
Service was slow but they apologized and brought out free breadsticks, which were excellent. We stared with fried calamari that was perfect. I got the primavera pizza. It was tasty but all the fresh veggies sweated a lot so it was soggy in the middle. He got the calzone. That was HUGE and he could only eat half. Their marinara sauce is very good.
We were doing some errands in this area and in the mood for Italian; came here at about 2pm (on a weekday) and it was not too busy, and we were told we could sit anywhere we wanted to . Had lasagne and eggplant parmigiana, and tiramisu for dessert. Each main dish came with a small salad and focaccia bread; all the food was very tasty. Service was friendly and fast. Warm and pleasant atmosphere. Glad we came!
REVIEW OF DOORDASH DELIVERY DURING COVID-19 100% recommend their calzones. The thing is massive; easily could feed two people or have two meals worth with extra marinara and maybe some bread on the side, at a fantastic price. I ate it in one meal because it was that good. Wholeheartedly recommend.
This spot is cozy and nicely decorated. Our server was very energetic and talkative. Our desserts took a bit to arrive and when they did we discovered that all the plates were dressed with strawberry syrup. The strawberry syrup made no sense for the desserts we ordered (chocolate cheesecake, tiramisu, and coconut cake.) The syrup they used tasted unbelievably medicinal. One of my guests described the flavor as "Robitussin." My tiramisu was incredible but the parts soaked in the strawberry syrup were off-putting. My dessert wasn't too soaked in the syrup but my guests' desserts were, and they couldn't stomach the strange combination. I told our server about the surprise syrup and he let us know that its mandatory for them to dress the plate with either chocolate or strawberry syrup, and they were out of the chocolate. All this to say, trust me and order your dessert with no syrup. A warning would have been nice
Went here for lunch. The rest was not very busy but not empty as well. Considering the location - it's close to offices, there may have been better days, busy days before the pandemic made sure that remote work is possible for employees. Still almost 70% occupancy looks very good in these circumstances. The food was good. Ordered some garlic bread and a vegetable lasagna. Service could have been a bit better as we were waiting for almost 10-12 mins and had to wave them down to come and take the order after they served us the drinks.
Delicious Food, Friendly Service — But the Restroom Needs Serious Attention ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5) We visited on a quieter day, but it’s clear this spot is popular with employees from the nearby private companies, so it can get busy during peak hours. Thankfully, we were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated right away—great first impression. The menu offers a wide variety, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. I highly recommend the meatballs—the meatball Bolognese was especially good. The pasta was perfectly al dente. I did ask for a side of fresh basil to bring a bit more brightness to the sauce, and it made the dish even better. The lasagna was also cooked beautifully and came in just the right portion size. For the quality of food and service, the prices are very reasonable. My only critique—and it’s a big one—is the condition of the restrooms. They’re severely outdated and honestly feel more like a gas station bathroom than one that belongs to a restaurant of this caliber. It’s disappointing, especially since everything else about the experience feels elevated. A full renovation would make a huge difference in aligning the ambiance with the quality of the food and service. Great food, welcoming staff, and excellent value. We’ll definitely be back—but I do hope management considers updating the bathrooms to match the rest of the experience.
My first visit here was very pleasant. Everyone was really nice and keeper checking up on me. I tried the lasagna and was pleased with the taste and the portion. I was thankful that everyone was so attentive. I will come back to try more on the menu. Fyi...parking lot shows that you need to scan a QR code to pay, however as long as you are parked under 2 hours, you don't have to scan nor pay for parking.
We went here for the first time tonight with our 2.5 year old son. We arrived about 545, ordered a small cheese pizza and one large pizza. We were one of 2 tables seated in the restaurant. We waited about 20 minutes and didn’t see our server, let alone any food. The place got crowded. Waited another 10 minutes. Still no server or food. The tables around us, who arrived after us, started getting their food. Waited another 10 minutes and mine and my husbands pizza showed up. We asked if it normally took this long for pizza, as it had been 40-45 minutes at this point. The waitress said no but didn’t elaborate. Our son’s pizza did not come. We waited about 5 minutes. No pizza. After flagging down our waitress, we asked where his food was and she tried to blame it on the kitchen “making a mistake”. We finally got his cheese pizza about 650. He was too antsy to sit still to eat so after one slice, we just asked for a box and took everything home. No apologies. No nothing. I’ll give it 3 stars because the pizza was fine. Nothing special but not bad. We won’t be coming back. Bummed. Really wanted to like this place
Decent sized parking lot and simple table seating. Plenty of space available for inside and outside seating. It's a casual tone eatery. The appetizers taste good but the main dishes are just bad. The pizza has plenty of toppings but is very dry. The cheese steak Panini was horrible. I regret getting it, it was nothing more than an over toasted bouillon bread.
Pizza good, entrées are terrible. The white wine mushrooms tasted acrid and the chicken was cold, although it was a good portion. Server was not attentive. There was only one other table besides us. Calls did come in every few minutes for orders. They had lots of pizza boxes on the counter. They had several people working in the kitchen, another server, and a guy at the counter taking calls. I can't imagine why she never checked on us. We flagged down the other waiter whenever we needed something. I asked to switch out my food since it was truly innedible. My sister didn't like her dish too much either, but she said it was good enough to eat. I hate being THAT person but three bites, and i couldn't stomach it anymore. I asked for a personal pizza. I figured it was their specialty since i kept seeing boxes on the counter. The pizza was good. I thought they would just charge me the pizza since i returned all but three bites of the massive chicken. But they kept the chicken plate charge which was way more than the $8 pizza. I didn't fight it. The server was annoyed that i walked up to the counter to get my check. I didn't know i had to wait for her to give it to me, although the reason i got up is because i was waiting a long time for her to come back. I was just over that place. Just order to go, and stick to the pizza!
Second time going to this location but should’ve learned from our first experience. Food quality was not up to Collinas standards on Richmond. On our first visit I ordered my favorite eggplant parmigiana and couldn’t cut the eggplants like they’re rubber. Complained about it to the waiter and they remade it but it’s even worse. On our recent visit we took the kids to enjoy some pizza mainly, but it looked like there’s a shortage of cheese that day. Not much of it on the pizza and again compared to Richmond location, it’s terrible. I enjoyed the lasagna but it’s cold, I guess I was hungry. One of the kids got the tortellini and he had the same issue plus it’s tasting not very good. Also, this location is not serving wine and I know. We thought this locating is gonna be our new spot but unfortunately we are very disappointed and don’t think we will go back here.
The server had no formal training and no manners sorry to put this review knowing it was good food but do not come here if you actually want to have a pleasant dinner. The service was unprofessional and we literally felt rushed and kicked out knowing the restaurant closes at 9pm. The receipt was literally forced on us at 8:53pm . I hope this message gets to someone whom cares for the business . No refill on coffee and when asked for a refill . I was told that the staff did not want to make coffee due to the hour. Understandable but could’ve been made aware before I ordered the coffee. Picture shows chairs were up before 9pm Could’ve changed hours to 8:30 to prevent this behavior
I’m so sad to leave this review. We have had such good experiences at this cute little kitchen and love the BYOB thing they have going. However, the management and/or ownership has obviously changed. It no longer smells like Nonna’s house. The staff isn’t nearly as friendly, and worst of all, the food quality has gone down. We ordered our favorite-pepperoni on whole wheat- and one other pizza. When the food arrived, it was obvious the pepperoni was not on whole wheat. We mentioned it to the waiter so as not to pay the up charge. Next thing we know, someone from the kitchen came to the table to ask for our leftover box, took it to the kitchen, then came back to tell us that the whole wheat crust is no longer brown, but white, and that it is also gluten free. The picture is of what we brought home of both pizzas. Which is the “gluten free whole wheat” and which is the regular crust?🙄 Also—so glad none of us is allergic to gluten, or someone might be in the hospital today! Did I mention that one of the cooks was leaning against the food prep counter eating dinner? I think I’ve been there for the last time.
Feels like this restaurant works on its past's inertia. Automatic manufactured boring cold - served dishes, with scattered ingredients in an unidentifiable dull sauce. No, pre-cooked chicken with two capers around it, laying in a vinegar liquidish "sauce" is not a Chicken Piccata.
On Saturday, 12/13 at noon. I visited this restaurant with a group of 15 coworkers, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The staff was not friendly and made little effort to accommodate a member of our group who uses a wheelchair, which was especially concerning. The food quality was poor, and when I informed the manager that my meal was unacceptable, no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue. Rather than offering a replacement or alternative, I was handed a small saucer of seasoning to add to the dish myself, which did not address the problem. Given the lack of hospitality, accessibility consideration, and food quality, I would not recommend this restaurant for group dining or for anyone expecting attentive service.
Me and my boyfriend we were highly disappointed in the food I honestly had higher expectations we ordered a lot of food because we like to try new places in his area we are both foodies and the food wasn’t that great . for our starters we had the Foccacia bread and some meatballs that weren’t on the menu we also had the Calamari which was our least favorite of it all, then I ordered lasagna which was nothing like I imagined it to be not what I was expecting at all it was kind of salty and then my boyfriend got the Fettuccine Tettrazini which lacked flavor , our main dishes came with side salads my bf got the house salad and I got a caesar salad the dressing on the Caesar salad was watered down .We also order the Mona Lisa a’ la Lisa pizza which was overall was the best thing we got . The sever was great not sure what his name was I also didn’t like the atmosphere much I guess it was the restaurant set up needs to be up dated there was also no music to enjoy or at least what I could recall
