I’ve been going here since they opened, every single experience has been perfect. This is by the same people who run the burger joint so you know they do it right. This place is a straight up hit and miss. Sometimes it's good and sometimes not. Yesterday evening. I ordered pork Belly and the meat was extremely acidic and greasy. It seemed rancid and stale. I ordered pork Belly from here all the time but this past time it wasn't right. They have good carnitas and cheek meat and the pozole negro monthly special is legit, but everything else here is trash. Even the drinks.

Foods pretty good. Gets the job done. I stop by almost every Friday. I would’ve gave it a 4 if it wasn’t for the lack of meat this time around. Must of been a different cook this time. My friends and I have been talking about coming here for a while (we go to Burger Joint frequently and love the food and atmosphere) but the Taco Stand was kind of a let down. The food is all right - the meat isn't seasoned well but is cooked nicely. The onion and cilantro are the best flavors they had going for them. The tacos were kind of wet and the tortillas a little soggy. The guac was good and the chips are homemade, which is nice. The atmosphere is bizarre. The inside is sterile and clinical. The patio is all right but the green and white tile and hanging lights and neon green running lights don't fit well together at all. The music is blaring. Even though they gave us water cups, there was no water available anywhere. Really love Burger joint, but the owners missed with this place.

The carnitas were far too oily, while both the steak and barbacoa were so heavily salted they were basically inedible. The queso was passable but nothing special. There's also an odd service approach here (which I've noticed at the burger joint too) that feels... not appropriate for takeout/drive-through orders. Here's the thing: in Houston, there are too many excellent taco options to settle for mediocre food. With so much great competition around, there's no reason to return to a spot.

The staff are friendly and food came out quick. The music and relaxed atmosphere are nice. The taco are terrible. Lacking flavor and room temperature. The shrimp taco was overly sauced and caused the flour tortilla to be quite soggy. The “Pink Taco” was very bland. I wanted this place to be great, but I tried it once and that’s enough. They own Burger Joint next door which is great.

I ordered a barbecue and egg breakfast burrito, almost no Barbacoa, mostly egg. I have to say I’m disappointed. The service here is absolutely horrific with the attitudes and unfriendliness of the staff, especially the Hispanic woman in black shirt at the window. The food is OK I wish it was better and the salsas are very good.

Piece of shrimp found in my vegan tacos. This is not the first time this has happen to me so I am leaving a review for awareness. I assume they are cooking the vegan meat in the same place as the regular meat. If not, it’s regardless very negligent on their end. The Taco Stand would be better if more consistent.

The Taco Stand is decent overall, but nothing to get overly excited about. The food is your typical Tex-Mex style, and while it can taste good at times, the consistency just is not always there. Some visits the dishes come out flavorful and well-prepared, and other times they feel rushed or underwhelming. The prices run a bit high for what you get, especially considering the hit-or-miss quality. Service is fine and the customers are okay, but the atmosphere does not really stand out either. It is not a bad place to grab a bite, just not one I would go out of my way for.

For whatever reason they decided to add a jalapeño on my supreme burrito & it doesn’t even come with that. I don’t even think anything includes jalapeños on the menu. I can’t even eat jalapeños. This was the most disgusting taco I have ever had in my life. I’ve had $1 tacos from a taco truck that tastes 5X better than this. How is this beef fajita? Or carne asada? Dry, greasy meat with no seasoning. This was absolutely horrible. The entire taco tasted like oil. It was gross.. 3 tacos for $14…anyone who says these tacos are good have never had decent tacos in their life. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

I spend a lot of money up here with my family and friends and business partners to eat lunch and just be in the atmosphere. I was very disappointed when a woman was standing at the cashier area just ignoring me after I tried to get her attention many times. She even looked at me and just turned away. I don’t know what her problem is but if you don’t like to work with people and provide service you shouldn’t be working in the hospitality business. What a disappointment, finally a young man came to help me.
