I had such a great experience here from start to finish. The atmosphere is one of the first things that stood out—warm, lively, and stylish without feeling pretentious. It strikes a perfect balance between laid-back and upscale, making it a great spot whether you’re out with friends or on a casual date. The cocktails were a definite highlight. Each one was thoughtfully crafted, with a great balance of flavors and a creative twist that made them stand out from the usual bar menu. You can tell the bartenders know what they’re doing and take pride in their work. As for the food, I went with the chicken and waffles and absolutely loved it. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with seasoning that really brought it to life. The waffle was light, fluffy, and had just the right hint of sweetness to complement the savory chicken. It was comfort food done right, and I’m still thinking about it. All in all, everything—from the vibe to the drinks to the food—was spot on. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.

My buddy suggested this place for dinner and I love any type of southern comfort food restaurant. I got the chicken fried chicken, and it was fantastic. Size alone of it was insane, but the taste of that, the garlic mashed potatoes, and creamed corn was immaculate. Will be going back for the restaurant side, and the cool outside bar/patio. Overall, great spot.

We enjoyed our meals. We all opted for burgers. I had the smokehouse burger, which is double patty, onion rings, brisket, house made pickles, and BBQ sauce. It also came with what seemed to me like handcut fries. I personally liked those as well. Great food, great service. They had a great assortment of teas. We also got ice cream and enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere.

Preslee’s is one of my absolute favorite spots in the Heights — I love, love, love this place! The food is consistently amazing, the atmosphere is laid-back, and there are so many different areas to relax and enjoy. Whether you’re with a group, on a date, or out with family, it’s a great fit for any vibe. The service is always top-notch, and the drinks are flavorful, not strong, which I actually appreciate in a family-friendly setting. There’s plenty of seating, and even when it’s busy, it never feels overcrowded. You can always find your own little space to unwind and enjoy your meal. Preslee’s has that easygoing, Austin-style charm that makes you want to come back again and again. It’s my go-to when I want a chill place with great food and good energy.

Great Spot for Families! We had such a great time here! The food selection was yummy and had something for both kids and adults, which is always a win. The service was excellent—friendly, fast, and super accommodating. Loved the huge outdoor screens—perfect for catching the game while still keeping an eye on the kiddos. The playground was a hit and kept them busy the whole time. Don’t leave without grabbing some ice cream on your way out. Definitely worth a visit!

Visited this location with friends. My observation is that the place is affordable with Great food and atmosphere. It is kid friendly and has both indoor and outdoor seating.

Pretty laid-back spot. Unfortunately, it rained during my visit or we would've taken advantage of the outdoor seating. Definitely a family-friendly place & they have a play area for the kiddos.

First time eating here, accompanied by my daughter who has been here numerous times for brunch. The outdoor patio is the largest and nicest looking patio I've ever seen. The inside of the restaurant is small, has a bar and tables to eat at, but I will always sit outside when I return unless it's storming. Now for the food, prices were reasonable, food was good. I ordered blackened redfish with mashed potatoes and green beans, daughter ordered the chicken fried chicken, both were good and was a healthy serving. Oops, ate it all before taking pictures. We’re visiting the area so this was our first time here. Everyone was nice, but the food was just alright. My husband ordered the hot honey chicken biscuit. He loves spicy food and it was way too hot for him. I ordered the brisket grilled cheese and it had way too much bbq sauce and not enough cheese, in my opinion. We didn’t enjoy our brunch/lunch.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance, I enjoy sitting outside on the patio. They have a vast menu, but if im being honest the food is mid. I've had worse, but I've definitely had better southern cuisine in Houston. Lastly they always have these corny backhanded political posts on their billboard(This isn't NYC). As a minority and person of color, it doesn't make you eager to spend money at a place that wears their political views on their sleeves. I have been to Preslee’s for brunch and I can say there is a big difference between that and lunch/dinner. I ordered a brisket burger, macaroni and greens for lunch. The macaroni wasn’t that good and I found a green string in it. (No it’s not a vegetable). The greens are salty. The burger was very dry!! I called the restaurant and nobody picked up. So review it is.

The restaurant was a cozy vibe. The outdoor area/playground was nice, aside from us not being able to use it for long because of the rain. Service was alright. The food though, extremely salty, need to chug water immediately salty, and I'm someone who likes salt. I ordered the brisket burger and I wasn't a fan, like everything else it was very salty, and it honestly just tasted like a sloppy joe. I typically eat all of my food or take leftovers home, I didn't even do that. My boyfriends chicken fried steak was also oversalted, he didn't complain. He actually said it's the first chicken fried steak he's ever had that didn't need salt. The gravy was watery. The cook just really needs to go easy on the salt.

Used to be decent, but not good food anymore and bad management/owners. The staff are great, but I have seen kids wonder into the streets and some of their seating is falling apart.

Due to recent events, I couldn’t help but notice how unwelcome I felt during my visit. My friend and I were the only people of color in the restaurant, yet the managers never once checked on us. Instead, they made sure to check on every other table. The lack of hospitality and friendliness was disappointing, and it left a heavy feeling of being unwanted. I’ve always enjoyed the food here, but after this experience, I don’t see myself returning. This man gave me the nastiest look multiple times!
