The meal came with both ranch and country gravy for dipping, and let me tell you, the chicken tenders were outstanding—full of flavor and perfectly juicy. My companion enjoyed a delicious burger too! The entire place is beautifully adorned with string lights, adding to the overall charm. With both an outdoor bar and an indoor area, it's a great spot for enjoying their impressive selection of beers. Our service was excellent, with friendly staff who made our experience even more enjoyable. Truly a delightful place to visit!

The only downside is the parking. You either park on the street or pay valet because parking is limited. Other than that I had a good experience, good customer service, and food was served promptly. Better than average bar food. Order drinks and food at bar. It comes quickly. Had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was very good. The burger was a little dry. Nachos were a little bland for me, but that's a personal preference. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely go back.

Hidden gem for me… maybe because I don’t live in the area but the place is cool laid back and cozy. Even has a cool patio set up outside in the back for customers to bring pets or just want to vibe outside. Definitely wasn’t expecting amazing wings… Asian sweet & spicy and the hot lemon pepper were top 5 wings I’ve had in Houston from the freshness and flavor. a chill place to hangout. they have food but i cant really comment on it bc i only got nachos. the service is pretty fast and when it's a slow day it's such a relaxing spot to catch up with a friend or read a book or such. it's very laid back. during the busy hours however it gets really busy, packed, no spots to sit, parking is difficult... just a heads up!

My family and I come here occasionally for special days and they always have great food and easy to find seating! I got the potato taco and empanadas and they were 10/10!! The only reason I put 4 stars is because we had to wait inside for 30minutes to place our order… Other than that this is a great place to bring your family and friends!❤️

Great service, flavorful food, and daily specials. The food comes out hot and quick. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The only drawback was the flies but that is mainly due to how large the restaurant is.

First time here with a coworker. Nice place, friendly staff. We were promptly greeted when we arrived. Checked out the menu at the bar, ordered, paid, and sat ourselves. Drinks are self service. I ordered the Elote fries and the grilled fish tacos with an iced tea. My coworker ordered the Jive turkey sandwich. The food came out promptly and was fresh and well prepared. The elote fried were good, big serving. The fish tacos were good but messy, I still liked them a lot. This isn't far from work. I could see coming here again.

Cedar Creek, a Cafe, Bar, and Grill, located at 1034 W 20th St, is a visually entertaining place to be seen. Being my 1st time here, it's a bit of a challenge to comprehend at first. I arrived at 4:45 pm and walked into the establishment through the front door. The place at first was dark, but just needed for my eyes to adjust. Being a cafe, bar, and grill, I didn't know what to expect at first. There was no hostess and no sign to indicate to help yourself to a seat. I walked further into the interior and found many tables reserved for a group party. After finding an open table, I sat down and waited for the wait staff. While waiting, I noticed that there were only 2 barmaids working the Bar. I also notice a couple of staff members running food orders to tables. Although several of these employees locked eyes with me, no one came to offer any service. After watching the crowd grow, I started to see the function on how this establishment runs. Thus, after 10 minutes of waiting, this is what I noticed. So for you first-timers, like myself, Grab a menu, wait in line at the bar, place your order (if ordering food, they'll give you a number on a stand), then find a seat. Sadly, I noticed that quite a few people would place their drink order, wait there at the bar for the drinks to be made and then stay there and drink their drinks; all while others are trying to place their own orders. Thus creating chaos, as some people were skipped over, who were waiting. I noticed others leaving, just because of no consistency in placing orders, in an organized manner. I don't know if they are short staffed, but when you have guests trying to figure out where the line starts or ends, where to place your order, etc... this shows poor management, organization skills. After I placed my order, I was rung up for my order and asked if I wanted to keep an "Open Tab?" I declined, so the bar made closed my order to be closed. Something I don't like is being asked for a tip on a receipt when you haven't even been served or provided any food. However to avoid this, you need to keep an open tab. After signing my receipt, I was again confused. I ordered a Fountain Drink to which I was not provided. The barmaid just kept moving on to the next customers. That's when I noticed the Wait Staffs Serving Station in the corner. As it turns out, the fountain drinks are self-served and on a paid, Honor System. Directly on the opposite side are the straws and condiments. As for my order, I had decided on the Thursday Night Special, which happens to be Steak Night. Sadly, neither on the board or the menu does it specify what it all curtails. So I had to ask, when placing my order. I was told that it consisted of: a 16 oz Steak with a Garlic Butter Sauce, Mashed Potatoes, and Asparagus, all for $27.°°. I also decided to order a side Salad. As far as salads go, the Side Salad was delicious. It had Lettuce, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, shredded Carrots, and Red Onions, with your choice of Salad Dressing. The Mashed Potatoes were good, but I would have liked to have some Butter for it. So I used the Garlic Butter Sauce from the steak, for the Mashed Potatoes. Topped on the Mashed Potatoes was Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Bits. The Asparagus was perfectly cooked and flavored. The best I've had in a long time. As for the Steak... It was definitely not worth buying. It was a poor quality cut of Beef. The fat, I can live with, but the Gristle... Try and be discreet and nonchalant while spitting that into a napkin several times; with a room of people looking on. As for the rest of the place, it was lively and festive. Plenty of outdoor sitting on the Pet Friendly Patio to enjoy with friends, family and/or pets. Despite my overall 1st time experience in dining here, I will definitely come back to see if they have improved their organization and staffing issues, as well as try their regular menu items. As busy as it was, that definitely has something to say for this place.

I don’t ever write a review but I had to make an exception for this horrible place. Please avoid this place whatever you do take your business elsewhere these gentlemen are so hard stuck they will not compromise anything with you. They don’t care about common sense and just go by there hard headed mentality. Me and my friends came to stop by and enjoy some golf in San Antonio it was 6 of us we had bought 2 3man tee times and played as 6 and were told to split up because we were causing a slow down behind us. Although the closest group behind us was 2 holes behind and they were extremely persistent on us being slow on our pace when that just wasn’t the case. Please please don’t come here these gentleman are terrible people and terrible business you will find much better anywhere else.

Love this place great staff and food but it is a bar not a daycare it's surprising how many kids under 3 are allowed to run around freely. Probably saw 3 kids under 1 year old 15 under 5. kids running everywhere someone is going to trip over a kid soon. Bring your kid but if they are running around faster than you can look out for them take them home. Huge liability in my opinion. Is it legal to bring kids in a bar ? I'm sure the majority of the sales are from alcohol

I am a United States Navy veteran who is medically disabled and served honorably. My vehicle displays valid Disabled Veteran (DV ISA) plates and a properly displayed up to date disabled parking placard. On January 18, 2026, around 12:15 a.m., I parked in a clearly marked handicap parking space at Cedar Creek Cafe (1034 W 20th St, Houston, TX 77008). Despite full compliance with Texas law, my vehicle was towed by a tow truck driver for Space City Auto Storage within approximately one hour to Hempstead Auto Storage where the on duty staff do not split cash/ credit card payments. My dash camera footage shows no staff member at Cedar Creek Cafe nor any employee towing vehicles for Space City Auto Storage checked my plates or placard prior to the tow. The manager on duty, Taylor, later admitted that having my truck towed was a mistake. I was still forced to pay $314.90 out of pocket to retrieve my vehicle. Texas Transportation Code §681.009(e) states: “Parking spaces or areas designated for the exclusive use of vehicles transporting persons with disabilities may be used by vehicles displaying a white on blue shield disabled parking placard, license plates issued under Section 504.201, 504.202(b-1), or 504.2025(d), or a white on red shield disabled parking placard.” After reviewing my dash camera footage it showed there was a sign on the door stating “do not park and walk off,” but private signage DOES NOT override Texas law governing designated disabled parking spaces. Also the dash camera front and rear view footage showed that the tow truck driver for Space City Auto Storage ran several stop signs and almost damaged my vehicle by swinging my vehicle directly into oncoming traffic. After this incident, I was advised by a staff member for Hempstead Auto Storage to contact Space City Auto Storage and Cedar Creek Cafe for reimbursement for this mistake. So I attempted the very same day multiple times to contact Cedar Creek Cafe’s operations manager and separately the owner, Gary B. Mosley, by phone calls to resolve the issue. My calls were not answered, and no return calls were made by the operations manager or by the owner. I was informed by the towing company owner for Space City Auto Storage, Khalid N. Kifaya, he has access to Cedar Creek Cafe’s security cameras and uses them to initiate tows and that he would not be reimbursing me and to take him to court. So all previous reviews of Cedar Creek Cafe and the tow truck companies partnership is true. Due to concerns raised by this practice and partnership between Cedar Creek Cafe and Space City Auto Storage, I have filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). I have also contacted the City of Houston Mayor’s Office for Military and Veterans Affairs to report this incident and its impact on a disabled veteran. This experience raises serious concerns regarding how disabled patrons are treated and how towing decisions are made at this business/ location. Military veterans and handicap/ disabled individuals should be made aware of this situation.

Met some friends who were in from Alaska at This place and I can’t believe the nerve of this bar to have my car towed from the parking lot for zero reason …. This is literally the only place I went to and when I went to tell the bartender they act like it was perfectly fine and normal like it happens all the time … they made me uber 10 mins away to some hole in the wall tow yard .. who tried to make me pay even though the bartender told them it was a mistake …. …. and then the place that towed it messed my car all up all the suspension lights and all that are on power steering wasn’t working and this is a 80k thousand dollar bmw I just got … I told them all my suspension lights are on then the towing place said I was trying to scam them because I’m telling them my issues??? ? ….. avoid this place at all cost … I’m looking into further action
