We had a wonderful time. We had 12 people and they were busy but still got us our food in a reasonable time. Food was super fresh! I had the catfish fillets with corn and fried okra sides. I loved the hush puppies. The pancakes my kids had were massive in size. They all loved the ham, bacon and eggs.

Late lunch after a dr appointment. It did not disappoint. We tried the pancake latte iced & it was not super sweet which was nice, we recommend it. Service here was incredible, The pancakes they served here were the best pancakes I have it in my entire life. The food came very fast and our server was extremely professional, I don’t know his name but he’s a white dude on his 50’s, and served us Friday June 3rd around 4:00 pm , we were sitting in front of the kitchen entrance. This server gave us a incredible service, I’m giving all this details because we were never be treated like that in a restaurant before and we would like the server get congratulated by his team, I don’t live in Houston TX area but Next time I’m around there I’ll be stopping by, thanks !

This place is amazing. I love Cracker Barrel but I don't get the chance to go very often since I'm from New York. I've also never seen one with a little gift shop before, hence the "Old Country Store" in the name. The staff was very lovely, we were able to be seated and served almost immediately! They made sure everything tasted alright and checked in on us often enough in case we needed anything! Also the food was absolutely to die for. I wish I could go back every day!!

Me & my sister didn’t expect the crowd but the way you do your job so well, the busyness had no effect on the service we received today. You went above and beyond. When I didn’t care for my “not so sweet tea”. You could’ve literally just asked me to pick something else but instead you made a better batch that was actually sweet tea & not too sweet at that. Not only that, I watched you provide the same service to other customers as well & even helped other waiters in your area. This was the first time that I had dinner from Cracker Barrel. I usually would only go for breakfast or brunch. I was treating a large group and they able to accommodate and seat us rather quickly. They a few staff members helping which helped speed up the process. We got our food and all orders were correct. The food was good and delicious. Thank you Cracker Barrel!

I've been to several of these this one looks the same. It was on the weekend, so it was packed had a ten minute wait to get in. The strip steak and eggs was tasty good! I don't know why they added biscuit. And gravy. To it, but The steak and eggs with side is enough for most I belive. I am on a carnivore diet.So I didn't have a side nor the aforementioned biscuits with gravy. My friend had the grandmother plate and it's variety.Pleased quite nicely for them. The server said she has worked there for a long time, and she was quite pleasant and very good at her job. Great time was had. I would not hesitate to return again.

I had a party of five and we were immediately seated and attended to. Our server was Dave and he was ABSOLUTELY the best. His service and friendliness is the best ive ever seen in customer service. He was very patient when asking questions and needing more time as this was my first experience with cracker barrel. He was attentive and able to handle multi people at the same time without making it seem like he is ignoring you or prioritizing others. LOVE LOVE DAVE. If i had a company id make him CEO thats how good he is.

Delicious food, ample portions. I could barely finish the meal. My server was absolutely slammed with about three tables that had eight People each at them, so his attention to my table was limited, not by his own fault. The food was Hot, Fresh n Delicious. My Girl n I both ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken that was Tender and Flavorful the crust wasn't hard. Came with three sides. Everything was Great except for the amount of time it took to get our food. If it was a Saturday I could understand but, this was 11:30 am on a Thursday. But overall the Food n Service made up for it!

I’ve been coming here for years! Breakfast is always good, dinner recently has not been as good as they use to. However, that’s not the reason I’m writing this review. I just wanted to give a shout out to Arthur, he was our waiter today. What a wonderful person, just so pleasant… he took care of us as if we were at his home. Thank you, Arthur! Not just for wonderful service but for warmth and conversation. The team today, was wonderful in general! Like I said, I’ve been coming here for years and have never had service so above and beyond like today. The grandmas sampler was extra good too!

Sometimes excellent service isn’t perfect. When my order came out it wasn’t prepared or packaged properly. I asked to speak to Ishmael the manager and he demonstrated excellent leadership and did everything he could within his means to correct the problem. Thank you sir for doing everything you could to provide the best dining experience you could despite the obstacles you faced. Get this man a raise and more help immediately! He deserves it.

As usual the biscuits and cornbread were fresh and hot. I wanted something different, so I tried the pot roast with mashed potatoes. It was delicious. The beef was tender, I cut it with my fork and there were abou 6-8, 1 ounces pieces of beef. I would order it again. The manager was very nice also. I want to commend this location, because one of the servers is Autistic. I love when companies provide employment opportunities to Adults with special needs.

I don't care what anyone says, I thoroughly enjoy Cracker Barrel. 😉 I patronize the same restaurant often, and I enjoy the staff, the environment, and the food. It's so familiar and heartwarming. What's also great is that I often learn something new from the servers. This particular time, the server gave me insight into what a cracker barrel really means. So, for those who don't know, cracker barrel refers to the friendly, informal atmosphere of a country store and is defined as being plain, simple, and unsophisticated. What's even more interesting is the restaurant was named after barrels of soda crackers that could be found for sale in small-town stores across the American South in the early 1900s; people would stand around the barrels chatting and catching up, similar in purpose to contemporary office water coolers. Isn't that interesting? You get good food and some edutainment for an inexpensive price. 😀 What I love about going to Cracker Barrel is the consistent service and taste of the food. It's also quite nostalgic because I've been coming here since I was a child, and it's still my place to frequent with my mommy when I visit Louisiana. You just can't go wrong. Thanks, Cracker Barrel. 👍🏾

Over all I had a great experience! The pancakes were mmmmmhhhmmmm good ! They reminded me of how my mom used to make them for me as a kid. I wish the sides were hot though. They were barely even warm. The Souther Fried Chicken was delicious too, and I can’t for get about the amazing biscuits and cornbread!! Great place to eat! Great prices too!

Atmosphere, waiter and service was fine.. I order great as but was told they was watery and it would be a 30 min.wait, was ask did I want hash brown instead agree… ask for scrambled eggs and received eggs and shells with burnt hash brown instead.

Dirty tables upon arrival. Asked receptionist if we could switch tables and she gave excuses of not having workers avaliable and refused to move us to a more comfortable table for myself and my guest. Dylan was our server. He was great, knowledgeable of menu items and friendly face. Ordered mimosa and it came in a barrel glass halfway full...that was a first for me...I sent that back! Food was great bot large portions but great tastes. Alot of options to try. Loved the individual bottles of syrup. Great finishing touch for my first time at Crackel Barrel

The restaurant wasn't busy at all so I figured service would be good, I was wrong. Our waitress was not attentive enough and slow. Mashed potatoes were cold. The chicken and mac& cheese were perfect.

Food was very good. Service was good. It was just real busy inside and it took quite a while to get our food. Coffee was mediocre . But overall it was good.

The food was good and the customer service was awesome. Didn't know CB had mimosas which where pretty good!!

Very friendly and fast staff. Was seated very promptly and waited on in 10 min increments. Clean and organized and the restaurant smelt amazing. Not too crowded but I hear it can get that way depending on the day. I will define coming again to try the dinner menu.

Nostalgia overload everytime I come to this place. I used to come here a ton as a kid for breakfast. 💖 But to write a fair review - the food itself is average. Their breakfast is better than that dinner though by far. I recommend coming here for just their breakfast items only and the cool store they have. They change out what they sell for the holidays 😊

The meal was good and I liked it. The service was great but the only thing I didn't like is that they let the restaurant fill up so much that guest are sitting way too close to each other and with covid I feel a little uneasy about that.

Our waiter was the nicest fella, but his waiter skills are really bad. We had to use our napkins for plates for our appetizer. I ask for lemon “4times”!!! Before actually getting it. We were only given a fork! No butter knife to spread our butter & jelly on our biscuits. Napkin was used for a plate, we had to ask for napkins & a straw for our drinks. To top it all off, my meal is smothered pork chops. One tiny dab of gravy on the pork chops & No knife to cut my pork chops! It took him so long to bring me a knife to cut my pork chops up, that I had pretty much finished eating my carrots & potatoes!! We watched a different waiter work a couple of tables behind us & he knew how to be a waiter. Wished we had the other waiter!!

We love the relaxing country style atmosphere. Service is good but not overwhelming. Food is average, but given the reasonable price, they are good. It's a nice place for family or friend gathering.

Our experience was okay but wasn't the best. It was way to busy I think and customer service was not so good or friendly because of that my opinion. Also I've never had a problem with pricing but I don't like the fact that the pancakes was $5.00 for 2 pancakes. Very much over priced. Also the chicken fried chicken was dry and the grits was not so good. The biscuits was not cooked all the way. Even though the pancakes was overpriced they were really good. Also the strawberry mimosas were really good. They made up for the not so good food.

The food tasted amazing — the service was exceptional. The only con is that the process of getting seated and paying the tab was confusing as it was our first time visiting a Cracker Barrel.

Not much to say about this place. All Cracker Barrel are basically the same. The food was decent. They promised an Thanksgiving menu, but they did not delivered. Yes, they had turkey, but in a format that ruined the whole thing. I'm not saying the food was bad, just a bit disappointing. I had the New York steak. I have to say it was delicious! And the service was OUTSTANDING!!! our server had all the elements you would want on a server and made us feel like home. Because of her (Tiara) im not giving less stars. Overall we had a good time, decent food and great service. Just dont expect much variety when you visit.

The location on Airtex and I45 has gone down considerably. The wait is horrible. They need more cooks and need to accommodate for larger groups. We had a celebration, so we had 3 tables. The food was all brought at different times. The rolls were brought out with the meal. In the past, you were seated and immediately served drinks and biscuits. Long wait time for condiments as well. It’s not the same, I doubt that I will return any time soon.

It's pretty standard. Everything was okay but VERY noisy. Husband and I couldn't have a conversation. Parking available but as busy as it was people were inconsiderate and blocked several spaces, obviously not the restaurant fault.

Even though we were very please by the AMAZING service by our server Chriss, I was somewhat disappointed with the hash brown casserole that came with my order. It was very dry and over cooked. And as an ex-employee feom a different location, I know exactly how it's supposed be cooked. Other than that and what seemed in some areas of the restaurant that had trash on the floor, it was a pretty good experience visiting the location.

I love Cracker Barrel, however this time it was a pickup order. Ordered hashbrown crusted Shepherds Pie. When I arrived I was told they were out of mashed potatoes? I ended up getting the special, pork chops. Which were delicious ! BUT they had my phone number, they couldn't of called to inform me ? So I had to wait an additional 20 min for that to be ready. Seems a bit unorganized...

Waited at curbside 30 mins b4 they came out for a substitution. 30 mins later went in to ck on order. 20 mins ltr watched staff open door with my order but never brought it to my car. Had to go in Again. Now, add insult to bad service I ordered 3 sides but only received 1 and 1/2.

Food was good and service was ok. The only one thing that I did not like is that you have to stand in line to pay for your meal afterwards and the wait in line was like a 30 min wait. That will be the only reason I will not come back here.

We, as a family, used to enjoy eating here. Today would most likely be the last time we eat here. Waiting 30 minutes to sit, it would have been worth it if the food was the same as it used to be The waiting an additional 25 minutes for our food to be served, would have been worth it, if the food was good. It was not. Very small portions, the biscuits was probably the only good thing about the meal. I ordered the roast, it was dry. Even with the gravy on it. I love the dumplings, or at least I use to love the dumplings. I ordered 2. To go with my meal. Both had 1 large piece of dumpling, that was not cooked in the middle ( pictured) needless to say very disappointed.

They served a chicken fried steak plain!! Had to ask for gravy. The dumplings side was the best. The other entree just ok. Server was not on it. She was non attentive. Bad day to go there.

When ee started going , everything was great. The food the service was always consistent. These past few times we have gone it has been terrible. We are waiting way too long even when restaurant barely full. Food comes out opposite how we order. Food has come out cold . They have run out of napkins and lettuce. we will not be going back ever.

Saturday, October 11, 2025 (6:15) - Stopped by this location for a bite to eat with Mom. Not busy, was seated directly by Christian, and waited on by Mia.. both were kind and friendly. (Glad they have not changed the interior decore) drinks came within a few minutes. However, sadly, after we ordered at about 6:30.. we waited until 7:15 before my food came out of the kitchen. At 8:00 pm Mom's food still hadn't come out of the kitchen. I walked back to the kitchen entrance to have the waitress put it in a To-go box when it was done and ask for an additional box for mine as I was not going to sit and eat in front of my mom, with her not having any food. It is now 9:21 and we are sitting down to reheated dinner at home.. SMH Take my experience for what it's worth.. maybe the kitchen was having a bad night.. either way I'll be avoiding this location..

We went for breakfast the server was not the best it absolutely took so long just to get the breakfast too much it wasn't all that I asked for some items left out and as I said it took a long time to get it I mean a long time at least 35 to 40 minutes to be served my breakfast and then I asked that I need something to go she kept on saying I'll be right back I'll be right back I'll be right back and I almost finished the breakfast before she even bother to come back how much does that and all she could ask me was did you see who took my money for the next table over I said I'm sorry no I was not looking over there so I have no idea who did that if they did it at all I felt bad for her but if you pay attention to how you attend to your customers you may get a very good tip even though the food wasn't the best the service was not the best took way too long I still gave her about a $25 tip for a $69 order I gave it to her she gave me a hug and I told her Merry Christmas but I still had to wait for my order to go we took a little bit longer and still she forgot to give me what I asked for in the bag I know you're busy I know they have a lot going on but for Pete's sake please attend to your customers

Service was ok , delivery of goods was super slow . Had to remind the server and whoever was walking by even manager that it has been 40 mins since we ordered . Has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Even tho they knew they were busy and behind , acknowledge your guests that we are backed up and we will be right with you . And the food wasn’t that good either. 4 bites and when I got home I threw it away . So disappointing after spending $40 for 2 people. How do you guys stay in business ?

Food was sufficient but the service was really bad. I can overlook a few things but this was the worst service i’ve had in a while. A coffee i ordered was never brought out. When it did come, everything was separated and i had to stir it myself which would be fine if we had napkins so that i could clean the fork i used. On that note our server did not provide us with any napkins or syrup for the pancakes, i had to ask. She brought out the wrong beer and gave us our bill before we were even halfway done with our food. What if we wanted to order dessert? I avoided complaining at the restaurant to save face for my partner but just felt like this needed to be stated.

The food was great. One of our meals came with biscuits and gravy and we never received them. Service was horrible at this location. Had to ask multiple times for refills for coffee and water (Never from our assigned waitress because she was nowhere to be found) and when we were done, we had to flag somebody down to find our waitress so we could get the ticket/check.

We got 2 breakfast burgers it was way overcooked( no juices) and salty. Egg was perfect. Overall wouldnt come here again. Waiter wouldnt give any details over menu , slow service, food quality on the low side. Table seating was terrible the tables are too close , 5 people made to fit at a table for 4. Truly uncomfortable.

We waited for over an hour, when we walked in they didn't give us a time so we figured it would be too long. After being seated we encountered a waiter getting an attitude with another table "saying I don't know how you dont understand" for me to hear everything he was saying yeah, awkward. Well it took over 30 min to get our food. Yeah my coffee refil never came in. Our order was not right. We had plates with wrong sides. Waitress using foul language and the busgirl asking the Waitress if she wants to do her job. Eyes rolling. There is definitely some tension going on in between them. Our waitress was nice no foul language with her it was others around.

I dont know what was going on when my family ate here. Too many things went wrong from the start. First it took 15mins to get our drinks. We were told they were brewing tea but when they finally brought out the sweet tea it was obviously a bad brew. The glass of tea they tried to give us was almost completely transparent with a hint of brown from the teabags. Very obviously not good tea but they tried to give us that and say it was good. Sent that back immediately. And then our food took around 25mins to arrive. I ordered chedder bites for an appetizer, and got my meal before the chedder bites. My wife ordered fried pickles and those came out cold. And then my daughter got a steak that tasted rotten! Me and my wife both tried it and all 3 of us spit out the steak! And then when we were already done and wanted the check they bring out my chedder bites. They ultimately took the chedder bites and the steak off our check but this was a sore experience from beginning to end. The only real saving grace was my own meal which was chicken fried chicken was good. But even my fried apples was cold. So barely a win for that meal. We usually enjoy cracker barrel but this experience will keep us away for a very long time.

My son and I ate here last night. We had the Thursday special - turkey and dressing. Instead of the CEO focusing on branding, she needs to get the operations of her business sorted out. The kitchen is incredibly slow getting food out. We waited over 30 minutes, and we were having the Thursday special. Nothing complicated that took long cook times. The food itself was good. We tried this Cracker Barrel because the one in Conroe always ran out of food. Back to this review. I also ordered a takeout order of the Thursday special for my wife. When I got home we realized they left out the turkey, no entree. How do you leave out the turkey in a Thursday special of turkey and dressing? Like I said, this company has must bigger issues than what the logo looks like. It seems to me they need to get back to basics - good food and service, at a resonable price. If you want to keep what business you have, focus on the basics!!

The store is cute and people are friendly. Service was prompt and attentive. Food was barely edible. One person did not even eat it was so bad. Chicken fried steak was a frozen patty microwaved and grits were gooey. Everything was overly greasy/buttery. I was used to everything at Cracker Barrel being awesome and food almost homemade. The wait time is extremely ridiculous. We arrived at 9:30am. It is now 11:13 am and I'm barely getting my food. I'm attaching a picture of the food that took a whole hour and some minutes to cook. My scrambled eggs were crunchy from the egg shells in them. It is pointless to specialize in one type of food, mainly breakfast, and take this long to cook it. Absolutely unacceptable. Not to mention the order the tickets are put in back in the kitchen must be a mess, people that sat after us got food first. Again, pathetic and disappointing to say the least.

I’m am very saddened by my experience. Am not one to give poor reviews. On the opposite. I am a very positive person and give praise, where praise is due. However, this situation was seriously lacking. In a city with a plethora of dining options customer service and food quality is key! My family and I dined in, our service was kind and attentive. It was a Friday evening and it was not crowded. We wait a bit for our food, but we were hungry and so when it arrived we didn’t complain that it appeared that it had been sitting. Within an hour of eating we all had stomach issues. Contact was made to management the next day to share the concerns for food contamination and said they would get back to me. I never received a call back,apology or anything. I have been a customer for many years, family that worked there, know the service standards, and sad to see it has gone way down and caring for the people they serve. It is so very sad!

Terrible experience and bad food. We got sat down at 3pm and after 15 minutes of waiting for our server I had to get up to ask the hostess for someone to take our order. At the same time we got sat down, two other tables in front of us were also sat down and with no server in sight. Even the table next to us said they had waited for a long time for their food. Finally our server Shalon took our drink and food order, barely checked on us and then we noticed that the other two tables in front of us were also her tables. One table ended up leaving after no service, and the table next to us spoke up to another server (hispanic girl with dark hair and bangs) who did not seem to care at all about the situation. I am attaching a photo of that server because I was not able to catch her name. The same table in front of us that waited close to half an hour just for drinks also spoke up to her about the wait and she did not even acknowledge them!! The only server who was checking in on us was Orlando, super nice and friendly. The food was terrible, chicken and dumplings were watery, and it took forever. Just an overall sucky experience at this location. Do yourself a favor and go spend your hard earned money where they actually value your business. Adding to this review that we had also ordered a side of 2 pancakes and never got them, also as you can see in the photo I didn’t get a spoon for my chicken and dumplings. We didnt even bother asking for anything anymore because we just wanted to leave asap.

I waited 20 minutes for the drinks and bread to be brought. I've been waiting for the food for 2 hours. I arrived at 2 pm and it's 4:30 and they still haven't served the food. Wow, it's incredible. I think the manager isn't doing his job well. The restaurant is somewhat empty and they can't serve the food.

This place has really gotten terrible. We had a party of 5 and were there for approximately 2 hours. Our food came out for only two of our party members so the waitress put in the rest of the order that we didn’t get. We wound up getting double of everything we ordered and nothing tasted very good. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

The server was great,nice young lady the portion where super small and burn hash brown your mama sampler the chicken super dry on the fried chicken grandpa platter ..the eggs look small portion ...i come regularly to this location the kitchen did bad today....even the biscuits were under bake...even a police offier was cleaning tables picking up plates so something was not right today

Arrived at 6pm. Business was slow. There were maybe 5 customers and some were already eating. I was seated immediately. Twenty minutes passed and still no wait person has come around. I got up and left. No one even noticed.

I am very disappointed with this Cracker Barrel location. I placed my order ahead of time, showed up when it was supposed to be ready, and still had to wait another 20 minutes—almost causing me to miss an important meeting. To make things worse, the food wasn’t even fresh. This isn’t the first time either—this is the second time I’ve been let down here. It honestly feels like they don’t value their customers’ time or money, and it’s extremely frustrating. I want my time and money back. This is just sad and completely unacceptable.

The manager was rude and insensitive. My aunt walked out because her anxiety was increased due to the negative atmosphere. My sick aunt couldn't walk and they refused to let us sit at the larger table because we weren't a party of 4. He wouldn't even try to accommodate us. He was a horrible manager.

First of all we got attitude from the staff because they sat us at a table that had high traffic and was constantly getting bumped, so we asked to be moved. After that everything went downhill. Staff was friendly but couldn't tell if it was an act or not, but it took 10 minutes just for them to finally move us when other tables were available. Then when we got seated it took another 15 minutes to have someone take our drink orders and food. My husband ordered coffee and was brought a dirty cup with red lipstick on it and the waitress literally tried to just pour his coffee into another cup! They forgot part of my order and we didn't even finish what was brought because it was not good, instant diarrhea for my husband and I before we even got out of the store and that was a nightmare in itself because the toilets were nasty with one having feces smeared all over the seat. Never again will we eat here! The store was cool though. Oh and we were supposed to get a military discount and they said they gave it but receipt didn't show it.

They ask if you want spoons and ketchup just to not bring them. I ordered my food then they say they were out of the dumplings and side dish so I had to order something else. Then they never brought my side dish or my husband’s buffalo sauce. Never refilled drinks or brought napkins.

I asked to sit at a close table with two family members due to size and health. The ride district manager said no because at least four people had to be at the table. They seated us at a dirty table. My sister was experiencing an anxiety attack because of the proximity of others. He refused to have some type of understanding. Money meant more to him than customer service. My sister left and said we could eat. We decided to leave because it was poor customer service from the beginning.

One star only because there is no option for zero. Horrible service. I placed an order on Friday to be picked up at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. I arrived at the store at 11:10 a.m. to pick up my order and asked several times about it. No one told me it was not ready. At 11:45 a.m., I asked to speak with a manager, and he informed me that my order was just being prepared. It took 30 minutes and multiple inquiries for someone to finally tell me that my order had not been prepared.

We came to eat your French toast that is featured on television. I was disappointed with my meal, my French toast didn't have Cream cheese frosting as advertised. My sausage patties that came with my order were dried and cool to the touch. I was not satisfied with my food but I ate some of it because I was hungry. The dining room had less than 8 customers yet we had to wait more than 20 minutes minutes to get our food . I won't be returning as I feel I didn't get what I paid for. 😕

I order a Country Boy Breakfast with steak tips to-go. Arrive home and I find this. Like seriously? Is it because it’s a to-go order that they think people won’t complain? I call 2 times and get placed on hold each time over 12 minutes. Finally on the 3rd phone call I get an answer. Then the manager proceeds to tell me that the portion size may look a little because the serving size for steak tips is 5 ounces. Welp, I whip out my scale, calibrate, and measure. Sure enough it’s 1.4 ounces, not even half of 5 ounces.

Never got seated as it took over 75 minutes waiting for a table of 5. When we were told 35 minutes. I understand it's packed on Sunday if they would of said over an hr i would of never waited. The worst part was they never even tried to put 2 tables together to accommodate us. Once we left they immediately called for a party of 8. That's because I went back in to return eveything I bought while I was waiting to get a seated

I want to start off by saying this was my very favorite cracker barrel because it was the first one I ever went to and I spent a lot of time there with my mom and we would go there repeatedly over and over again. So this was my regular spot. If you can say that I moved out of the area and decided to stop back and get me a order of grits to go. When I say it took over 35 minutes. I was so surprised and dismayed because I was on my way to go to church and I was like grits don't take this long father God what is really happening so that is the reason for the one star. Like I said I had a long-term relationship with this place and I stopped back by to rekindle our relationship and I was devastated. I know it don't take that long to make no grits. Very sad.

Horrible experience. My food was nasty, and it looked unpleasant! My daughter had burnt pieces in her food. Talked to the manager, and she tried to tell me that the Mac and cheese my daughter ate wasn't burnt. it's just because the food was baked. Absolutely not! I eat crackler barrel 2x a week in Pearland . My experience with them is above amazing every time. I will never come to this location ever again. I love my food 😋 and this just isn't it.

Went to have a light dinner and waited 15min by the host desk. No host and still shopped around for like 10min. Getting ready to pay waited another 10min by the registered and no one there. Then you have to employees come to the register and never said anything. Asked them if we can sit our selves and another employee who was probably on the clock purchasing stuff said let me get yall someone. Still 5min later no one came. So we just left. But those 3 employees weren't quick enough to say anything. They didn't care. Those are the ones you don't HIRE.

Spent 40 dollars for take out and it was horrible! The strawberry stuffed pancakes were not stuffed, no powdered sugar it had two flat pancakes. One tiny cup of cream cheese and one tiny cup of strawberry sauce! Companies wonder why they are loosing money! This is why! I will not go to another cracker barrel! I will go to dennys or cook at home better yet! Yall suck!!!

Food wasn't good. I got the new chicken and bacon or something was burnt and gave it burnt flavor. Even the cornbread was well done. My sweet potato was swimming in everything else, had more everything else than sweet potato. My mac and cheese was the only thing that tasted good. The server was nice, but the cook's need to actually be trained or not left without experience to help them.

This was hands down one of the worst experiences I have ever had with Cracker Barrel. I waited over an hour for a curbside order, which is already unacceptable, but what made it worse was the attitude of the staff. When we asked for updates on our order, the employees were rude and acted as if we were an inconvenience for simply expecting the service we paid for. There was no sense of urgency, no apology, and no attempt to make the situation right. If you offer curbside service, you should be prepared to actually handle it professionally. This experience was frustrating, disrespectful, and a complete waste of time. I will not be eating at Cracker Barrel again.

I had a huge catering order for our annual company luncheon. The food was half an hour late, lots of food, bread, plates, silverware missing. Drivers were rude, did not care that they were so late. They laid out food but did not unwrap or put in serving utensils. Manager at the restaurant told me wrong information about who was to deliver. He said that EZ Cater was to deliver however a Cracker Barrel van pulled up. Called today and same manger was not very apologetic as well. Says he is new to the store. If that is the case, they really need to rehire.

My sister was exited to visit Cracker Barrel for the 1st time. We both arrived and were given a table by the corner of the restaurant and felt uncomfortable. We decided to ask the host if we could get a table by the window and we chose one, but wasn't the one that the hostess wanted us to be. I noticed by her expression of her face that it upset her. Well, what happened next was what made us leave. We ordered our food and the food never came. At the time of our arrival there was only 1 lady by herself and us 2. Then a family of 4. Then a couple. Then another one and they all ordered and got their food right of way. We kept waiting after 1 hour and a half, we both got up and asked for the check to pay for the 2 drinks. We were told not to worry about paying that it was on the house and no apologies from anyone. My sister was very disappointed. This happened Monday December 1st, 2025 at around 4:30 pm - 6 pm. Did we exaggerate by leaving?

This makes me very sad to give this report about a Cracker Barrel. We love Cracker Barrel. The Airtex/45 location is awful and getting worse. We quit going at lunch because it took forever even when they were not busy. They are always out something you order. So we stop last night to get a go order. I received from my member that you get 2 dinners for 19.99 plus a chocolate cake. The girl who took my order show me more options that were available at that price. We still chose the Chicken & dumplings. They took our name and no one ever said our order was ready. We spent about 45 minutes waiting on it. They finally asked if we needed something. We said our order. It was at the front getting cold. They were not busy. We go to pay and my bill is $26.00+. I explain and showed her my phone. She said it is not with carry out. I said can you please show me where it shows that. She looked and couldn't find it. So she called the manager up which took another 25 minutes. I thought the manager was a customer the way he went around the store to the check out counter. He seems to care less, said he knows that it is not written anywhere. I told him that is not fair to the customers and he just looked at me. I said I can tell you don't care. He said I do. I took the food only because, it was so late. I didn't even get my points for the meal we bought. I won't go to this location again. We are so thankful you have other stores that are run better and appreciate our business. We just wish they were closer so we could go more often. I wish you could get a good manager in that store. So very sad. I wish I could give negative star on the manager. That is why no stars were touched. -0 It doesn't look like any of them are really interested in customer service. The girl who took our order he said she was new. She was nice but you have to train them. In all fairness how would she know it is not for take out when it was not written any where. The girl who checked us out very nice and told us she was sorry. The manager was just rude!!!!! You are only as good as your managers. If the managers are not good your store will not be good either. If you don't train your employees they don't know.

Our waiter was amazing! But the food we ordered was not so good! Not all of it came out in time then there was a mix up with food and waited for over an hours to get it correct. The chicken and dumplings were so salty I couldn’t even eat it had to throw away 🫣🤢 my baked potato was hard and over cooked! The souther fried chicken was passed greasy the plate was a pool of grease upset stomach after. Won’t be going back over unfortunately.

Worst Cracker Barrel experience ever, we got sat and waited at the table for 5 minutes and no one came to greet us. I tried to call over one of the servers and he made eye contact with me and proceeded to walk away and keep talking to a coworker who was already off( his name is Eric I looked at his name tag and when I asked the manager he told me Dave…). I had to go to the host stand and ask where the waitress is. Some other guy who wasn't the waitress came to help and he said the server would be right with us and still nothing...! We asked them for biscuits and never received them as well. We came around 2:20 pm past the breakfast rush and somehow didn't get good service. The bathroom didn't have any soap in both of the dispensers and there was just a hand sanitizer that was practically empty there in the rr. And one of the employees said just to use that. Sooo umm the employees aren't washing their hands while working? My Mac and cheese also had a lot of burnt black pieces all in it which is not right at all. I wouldn’t this Cracker Barrel to anyone!

I'm very disappointed in the service and food quality. I ordered the chicken fried steak meal and a kids meal for my son. He had two mini burgers with fries. Our server seemed overwhelmed with a practically empty restaurant. And other tables got their food first. And the quality was terrible my food was missing gravy and watery mac and cheese my mashed potatoes were barely warm the carrots with so mushy. My son's food was not good either he dry burgers and literally 8 fries...he's 8 years old and for $7 I think it should come with more fries than that. So with the prices of everything going up I feel very cheated that I had to pay with a smile on my face for such a disappointing experience. 👎👎👎 do better. I will not return to this restaurant.

I long for the days when eating at a restaurant was just about the food sans all the drama. It seems like lately every visit turns into a nightmare. On Wednesday 11/12/2025 I really wanted some pancakes and decided on Cracker Barrel. I drove past IHOP, Denny's and other breakfast places to visit the I-45 location. I've lived in the area for 9 years, but this was only my 4th visit due to the other 3 visits being poor experiences. When I lived in the Medical CTR area for 7 years I usually visited the one in Pearland 4 to 6 times a month. This visit has sworn me off this Cracker Barrel for life. I went into the store and was seated promptly. After 5 minutes(not a time exaggeration) nobody had taken my order. Then they seated a couple in the next row. The waitress was following them from the front and immediately started taking their order. Of course I started seeing RED. The waitress saw my expression as I was getting up to leave and said that she wasn't my waitress, but she could get me started and get my waitress. I asked for 2 glasses of water(because I could feel getting a refill wasn't going to be easy). Another person bought the water. So I just sat there. Finally a waitress showed up and there was a bit of confusion about the special I had seen in the app. She had a nasty attitude. Finally I got my order placed. Then I just there. Meantime a different waitress stopped by my table and mumbled something about they were still cooking something. I think she said the meat. Heck I only ordered bacon and sausage. Then a manager came to my table and said she understood my order was delayed. I said " Answer me this...how is it those people were seated 5 minutes after me and they are almost finished eating their breakfast? She just shrugged her shoulders and said she'll check on my food and walked away. Finally my food came and they overcooked my eggs(I ordered them soft scrambled) and the sausage patty was so dry it resembled a hockey puck only smaller. Worst breakfast EVER. I paid the check online tipped 25%(definitely didn't deserve it, but I have a rule about tipping) and got the HECK out of there.

I know better than to order a steak from anywhere but a steakhouse, but I figured, “Why not? It’s reasonably priced—how hard can it be to cook a simple sirloin?” Well… I was WRONG. The new steak and shrimp looks delicious on the menu, and I’ll admit the Cajun butter on top was actually very good. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of the entire meal. My first plate arrived completely ice cold. The baked potato had no butter, only unmelted cheese—because the potato wasn’t even warm. The steak itself was cooked okay, but again, stone cold. At that point, microwaving it myself might have been an improvement. I asked for the manager, who was polite and offered to remake the dish. Great—except the remake somehow managed to be worse. The second steak was noticeably thicker than the first, and there was no way it was cooked to medium-well in the few minutes it took to come out. I was right—it was undercooked AND still not hot. Not even a hint of steam. They also forgot the baked potato the second time around and brought it ten minutes later. This potato at least had cheese and bacon, but again… no butter. And when I asked for melted butter for the broccoli, I was told they could bring butter, but not melted butter. I have never heard that one before. By this point, I just ate the potato and broccoli and took the steak home to finish cooking it myself. I also ordered pecan pie to go—because it’s the season for it—but when I got home, it had clearly been cut with a knife previously used on something chocolate. Gross. Another thing I technically paid for that I couldn’t fully enjoy. When checking out, we explained the issues with the remake to the manager and all she said was “Aww.” That was it. No apology, no offer to comp the extra charge for the potato, the drinks, or even the smallest consideration for all the trouble. Nothing. To be fair, our waitress was nice, and the breakfast burger and chicken fried turkey were actually great. But the inconsistency at this location is unbelievable. Last time we visited, our server was terrible. They’re always out of something and blame it on “the truck.” At this point, the logistics for this location must be a nightmare, because tonight they didn’t have lemons, didn’t bring bread unless asked, and had no cocoa. Moral of the story: stick to Cracker Barrel basics—or prepare to waste your money. We may need to find a different location because this one always has something going wrong.
